PERSONALITY INFO
Gimmick
Master Of The Kick - The undisputed, uncontested master of kicking offense. A title he will gladly hold up and defend any day of the week, every day of the week. Okay, perhaps undisputed is a bit much... Sparrow would like to think of himself as one of the best-known wrestlers when it comes to that brand of offense. A background in capoeira and a bit of kickboxing puts him squarely in the style of mixing martial arts and a very fast-paced level of offense.
Strengths
1. His Cardio Day Must Be Intense: He’s got an insane amount of stamina, as befitting someone with constant frantic movement. Tanking through big moves with a refuse-to-quit attitude sees Sparrow very hard to actually put down.
2. Death By Legs: There’s a reason kick attacks make up a compelling amount of his offense. His strikes and aerial abilities are absolutely the most dangerous offense he has. This comes from a Capoeira background. At this stage in his career, Sparrow should be considered in the running for one of the most dangerous strikers around.
3. The Third Style: After so many outs with mat-based wrestlers, Sparrow has more or less proven he CAN hold his own against technicians. He doesn’t use it long, he doesn’t use it often but if he absolutely needs to break out going hold for hold, he will go to it.
Weaknesses
1. Lawful Stupid: Are you a cult leader? An undead zombie wrestler? A viking who brings your axe to the ring and chugs mead? Are you just a heel who preys upon stupidly trusting white meat Babyfaces? We still have got a wrestler for you! This does however have diminishing returns. Eventually, he’ll get wise...And then come find you.
2. Chain Wrestling What Now: He has mat skills sure, but Sparrow’s best options will always be strikes and quick-moving offense. He only falls back on going mat skills when it is an opponent who is doing the most. In Sparrow’s mind, he doesn’t want to show off how much he can do in case one day he completely stops the high-flying in favor of grappling.
3. For The Fans, By The Fans: Sparrow deeply taps into the crowd. Their cheers surge him forward, but that also leads to him trying to give them something to go home happy with. He’ll give his all, but it also makes him try his best to overperform, which can lead to opponents taking advantage or letting him burn himself out.

CHARACTER HISTORY/BIO
Sparrow (born Raphael Dallins) was adopted by a Caribbean family shortly after his mother put him up for adoption. The only thing he knew about his parents would be that his mother was of some Japanese descent, not even getting a name. He grew up in a loving household however, with parents who are as good to him as he could ever ask. (At least until he began disagreeing about religion and the rights of other people) He found a love in football... Well football and rugby but found his way to professional wrestling through a local backyard company in Port of Spain before flying to the states to get more American wrestling experience. Along the way he adopted the mask, deciding going by Raphael was a bit bland. He adopted his name in honor of Trinidad’s legendary Calypsonian singer, Mighty Sparrow.
After a year of experience, he since gave up the mask, feeling that trying to identify himself and even define himself as some sort of enigmatic figure did not work how he might have liked. He however, kept the name Sparrow and still identifies as such. His training has seen him under Chris Strike’s banner even teaming with Strike’s daughter on a few occasions as the Birds of Prey. Following that, he got extensive learning from Vivienne Robichaud at Lion’s Den NOLA to iron out his chosen wrestling style.
After Liberty Pro's recent closure, Sparrow achieved some explosive success in the wrestling industry, becoming a double champion in FGA as well as competing in a few events. He returns to Liberty Pro's reopening, more seasoned and capable than ever, looking to win the ultimate prize that had originally eluded him. In that however, he has also accrued an unwanted ringside manager in multi-time world champ and former wrestler Caroline Dallins.
The first few months of her time spent as his manager were...Tenuous at best. Sparrow would give up his successful Youtube channel at Caroline’s behest, noting that it might help with his focus. Losing the KONY championship to Cait Flanagan in Liberty seemed to prove otherwise. However, Sparrow would also have an extremely impressive outing in his first Gold Rush Rumble in FGA, as well as complete the four defenses needed to cash in the 15 Championship for a future U.S. Title shot. This remains important to him, as he was one of Owen Gonsalves (current champion)’ first defenses.
A non-title victory over Cait and some inspirational (if not terse) words from Caroline would also lead Sparrow to appearing at the end of a Liberty Pro Freedom show and letting a few months of aggravation come out.
For his time on the mic ranting about the failings of management, Lily Callaghan would eventually pit him against Freedom Champion TJ Techniques, one of Sparrow’s favorite people...In a match where if Sparrow lost, he would be fired. To that point, he had never beaten Teej in Liberty. Not once. Blyss Lockhart however, would get to face the winner no matter what. Sparrow would beat TJ for the very first time, becoming Freedom Champion...
...Only to be exhausted, and then quickly beaten by Blyss Lockhart for the Freedom Championship in just under two minutes. Sparrow would continue to tangle with Blyss for some time, being forced by Lily Callighan to put his job on the line for one more chance at Blyss and the Freedom Championship. He was cheated out of the match and was subsequently fired.
Sparrow would return, hired back at the behest of the company to see to it that Lily was removed from the company in a War Games match. With that, the Freedom brand was made into a new company controlled by Chuck Matthews, Empire Pro. With Robb Hardy as the new company’s GM, Sparrow believed things might be on the up and up for his career. Being drafted #2 behind Marcus Black, who was seen by Hardy as the best competitor seemed to pull the wind from Sparrow’s sails somewhat. Sparrow however tried to make little fuss, already exhausted from all the pushback against one authority figure.
Although he was owed a title shot at the Empire Pro championship in pinning Blyss at the War Games match that had ousted Lily, Sparrow did not like the idea of he and Marcus potentially hammering each other and Blyss picking at the remains. In a moment of rage and aggravation for months, Sparrow stepped aside to let Marcus and Blyss face one-on-one in a blast from IYH’s past.
Sparrow instead focused his attentions on Dante Locke, Blyss’s other half. They faced in a Loser Leaves Town match, the West Indian Whirlwind once again putting his career on the line. He beat Dante and saw him fired...Only for a man suspiciously looking and sounding like Dante but wearing a mask hired at the behest of the company’s authority. In seeing his efforts once again made in vain, and having effectively stepped aside to gain nothing...
The man who fights with everything he has is breaking down a little more every single day, tired of fighting a losing battle.
