PRE-SHOW MATCH ONE: SINGLES
Oliver Thurston-Knott vs Micaela
Oliver Thurston-Knott vs Micaela
RECAP Newcomer Micaela is waiting patiently in the ring when the lights drop. “Is she really going out with him?” By now, the audience is familiar with the opening line of The Damned’s “New Rose” and boos drown the pounding drums and following guitar riff. With a large spotlight shining down, Oliver Thurston-Knott walks out onto the stage with a microphone in hand, flanked by Clara, Ivy and Evie. Rory is a few paces back, making sure to get a good shot of ROTTEN through his camera. The group strides down the ramp, some of them trading obscenities with jeering crowd members, and climbs up into the ring to stand across from Micaela. OTK taps his mic a few times, the lights come up and the music fades out. OTK: Good evening. As I’m sure you will know by now, my name is Oliver Thurston-Knott and this is ROTTEN. Before my scheduled match, whoever handles the Liberty Pro Twitter account wanted me to warm up the crowd with some comedy... He pauses, a deadpan expression on his face. OTK: But the biggest joke I know is you bootlickers continuing to support an oppressive regime. With his nostrils flared, Oliver scans the booing arena. OTK: Each week I come out here and try to educate you people but no, you’re not interested. As long as you can have your iPhone and your Netflix, you’re content with this sad existence, tiny cogs in the giant corporate machine. But you tune into Liberty for some violence, right? There is a smattering of cheers at the prospect of OTK finally wrestling. OTK: All in good time. He smirks at the fans’ negative response before turning to face Micaela directly. She looks a little tense with ROTTEN either side of their leader and OTK picks up on this, motioning for his comrades to step back. They comply, leaning against the ropes and turnbuckle of one corner. Rory, with his camera in hand, is filming the group from a few paces away. OTK: I’m not here to fight you, Micaela. I’m here to help you… He holds one hand out with palm open. OTK: To help you help yourself - and others. I’ve read your thoughts on capitalism, I know you’re a fellow traveller. Jade and the Liberty management lap dogs want us to be at each other's throats, fighting for validation from their brain dead consumers. But we know better. Micaela stares at the open hand in her direction for a long moment. She seems hesitant to say anything either way. After a moment she looks out at the fans and a stormy expression seems to land on her brow. She then looks back to OTK and her face becomes a quizzical but almost blank expression once again. Micaela: See you around. With that one sentence, neither accepting or refusing his offer; Micaela steps back towards the ropes behind her and slides out of the ring, leaving OTK and the others to soak up the disdain from the crowd. The ROTTEN leader shrugs, turning towards the hard camera with a smile. OTK: Well look at that… she walked out on the match. You can’t blame me this time, Jade. But hey, if you want to see me wrestle, there’s always the next episode, right? He nods towards his comrades and they all begin leaving the ring. “New Rose” by The Damned plays again as OTK mockingly waves goodbye to a particularly abusive pair of fans at ringside. Ivy and Evie are shrieking insults at them as our view slowly fades to black. WINNER No Contest |
PRE-SHOW MATCH TWO: FREDDIE HJALMAR OPEN CHALLENGE
Freddie Hjalmar vs ?
Freddie Hjalmar vs ?
RECAP Freddie Hjalmar was in the ring with a microphone in hand. Freddie Hjalmar: Everyone quiet down! It’s time for my WEEKLY OPEN CHALLENGE! Tonight, we have a dangerous local talent! He is from the mean streets of… Freddie pulls out a piece of paper and makes a disgusted face. Freddie Hjalmar: So please, let me introduce Jazzie Jeffie Jiffy Jeffrey! Freddie makes a face as he mouths the words, ‘What the fuck?’ Suddenly a fat white guy, who looks nothing like a wrestler, makes his way down to the ring. He can barely get in and the referee looks hesitant to start the match. Freddie orders him to start it and the bell rings. ‘The Promised’ hits Jazzie with The Thorn - Bicycle Knee Strike. He doesn’t end it here though and for good measure, he hits The Rose - Diving Double Knee Drop [Meteora]. Freddie stands up on his feet and pins the fat man with one foot as he flexes. The referee counts to three and Freddie is announced the winner. He soon grabs a mic and begins to speak. Freddie Hjalmar: Did you all see that? That’s why I’m called The Promised, The Prince of Wrestling and The Prince of Roses! Freddie pulls a rose out of his pocket and smells it before dropping it onto Jazzie’s body. Freddie Hjalmar: You’ll need more than that one rose, you smelly fuck. Freddie laughs before continuing on. Freddie Hjalmar: Get used to this! Because this? This dominance in these open challenges? It’ll be a regular showing on your television screens. Freddie drops the mic and disappears backstage. WINNER Freddie Hjalmar METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 30 seconds FINISHING MOVE The Rose |
BACKSTAGE
We cut to the backstage area of the arena. The focus was upon the pair of Dexter Morant and Sophie Grimes. Though Dexter's face wasn't able to be seen, the expression on Sophie's face showed they were having a rather pleasant conversation.
Sophie laughed at whatever Dexter said, her smile very bright. But that smile didn't last long, her expression dropping rather quickly as Xavier Laroux turned the corner, steel chair gripped in his hands. As soon as Laroux got within reach, he swung the chair with every intent to drive it across the back of Dexter. However, Sophie reacted a lot quicker than anyone could have expected. She shoved Dexter out of the way as Xavier's shot caught her square in the face.
Sophie dropped like a sack of bricks and the instant Dexter realized what happened, he dove into Xavier, unleashing brutal rights and lefts. Because his punches were so emotionally charged, Xavier managed to find an opening, using it to drive the top of that chair into the man's stomach.
Dexter doubled over and stumbled back as the wind was taken right out of his lungs. Drawing that chair back again, he thrusted it forward, driving the top of his chair right between the eyes of Morant. He dropped just the same as Sophie did, a gash opened up in his forehead in the process of it all.
Xavier Laroux: 'You both can thank Gavin for this.'
Laroux viciously threw that chair down onto the prone body of Sophie before dropping into a mount atop Dexter. He slipped one hand up under the back of the already unconscious man's head before lifting it up. The face of Xavier twisted with anger as he began pounding away at that opened wound with his fist.
Xavier Laroux: 'AGAIN! I TRIED TO KEEP SHIT STRAIGHT AGAIN AND YOU COME FOR MY FUCKIN BROTHER!'
After a couple more shots to that now further opened wound, Xavier let go of the man's head, letting it drop back. With blood trickling down the face of Dexter, Xavier stood back up to his feet. Retaining that look of anger, there was an obvious look of satisfaction about it as he shook his head.
Xavier Laroux: 'Thank..Gavin..both of you.'
Spitting off to the side, that expression Laroux began to more shift into that arrogant smirk he was usually wearing. With that, Xavier turned away from the two before turning to walk away. But coming up onto the scene was Jade Night, who’s usual stoic expression turned into one of shock and fear, not knowing the kind of damage Xavier did to Dex and Joss, both who are close to her family and friends. She then whispered words as she shook her head.
Jade Night: ‘N-... Not again.’
Jade was referring to something in the past as her eyes soon turned dark as they looked up at Xavier, who was slowly walking away. She then charged at him like a raging bull before tackling him from behind with a loud scream.
Jade Night: ‘YOU PIECE OF SHIT!’
The General Manager of Liberty threw several blows to Xavier’s face before he finally got his bearings and started to fight back. While Jade might be the general manager, she was a wrestler first, and a brutal one at that. The two exchanged blows with neither getting the upper hand before security began to pull them off of each other but as they did, X headbutted Jade, causing her nose to bleed.
Xavier Laroux: ‘Fuckin’ cunt!’
As she was seeing red, the bloody nose didn’t stop Jade from trying to pull away from security.
Jade Night: ‘Fuck you! You think I’ll let this stand!? You’re SUSPENDED! INDEFINITELY!
Xavier Laroux: ‘WHAT THE FUCK!?’
Jade looked up at security.
Jade Night: ‘If you know what’s best for your livelihood, you’ll let go of me.’
They listened and let go of Jade and she slowly walked towards X before grabbing his face.
Jade Night: ‘I’m doing what’s best for you, Xavier.’
She wipes blood away from her nose and then draws a line down Xavier’s chest.
Jade Night: ‘Because if I see you doing something like this again? I just might end your life.’
Jade slams her elbow into Xavier’s face and he tries to lunge back at her but he’s held back.
Xavier Laroux: ‘I’ll get you back, you bitch!’
Jade Night: ‘Get him out of here, boys.’
The security team pulls Xavier away as Jade walks over to check on Dexter and Sophie.
Jade Night: ‘We need some medics over here! Come on!!!’
The scene cuts away.

PRE-SHOW MATCH THREE: SINGLES
Joss Morant vs Scotty Latimer
Joss Morant vs Scotty Latimer
RECAP The match was supposed to be a tag match, but with Xavier getting suspended and Dexter getting attacked, it now became Joss Morant versus Scotty Latimer. Joss was out of sorts with her brother and his girlfriend being attacked earlier but Scotty was in no mood to go easy on the young rookie. He threw her around the ring like a rag doll, dominating the early parts of the match. Eventually Joss is able to fight back with the crowd rallying behind her. She keeps Scotty on the defensive and it looks like she has the match in hand with a frog splash but Latimer gets his knees up in time. He then takes Joss out with Final Wave (bladerunner) and he pins her and gets the three count. WINNER Scotty Latimer METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 5:22 FINISHING MOVE Final Wave |

Donovan Rich vs Kasey Kash
RECAP Donovan Rich uses his size to dominate this match throughout, keeping Kasey at bay the entire time. Eventually though, Donovan starts to slip up and his confidence slowly goes away, as if the pressure is getting to him. Kasey soon takes advantage of that and he levels Rich with Aussie Knee Party (Shining Wizard). He then pins him and gets the huge win. MATCH ONE: SINGLES
Bianca Page vs Julio Banks
Bianca Page vs Julio Banks
RECAP The bell rings and the two start by inching towards each other. Julio puts his hand out, and Bianca reciprocates but Julio pulls her into a headlock. Bianca shifts out of it, and darts across the ring. She bounces off, heading back into a spinning elbow by Banks. Bianca kips up, but is driven into the corner. Banks jumps up, and uses his momentum to perform a monkey flip. SOMEHOW Bianca floats over completely and lands on her feet, much to the surprise of all watching. She turns back to Banks, getting to his feet, and she dropkicks him right in the back. Julio flies forward, connecting with the turnbuckle. She wraps her arms around his waist, but he pushes her off. She rushes him again, just in time for him to turn her, his back now to the turnbuckle. They exchange blows, in which Banks gets the better of, and hops onto the second rope, hitting Bianca with a tornado DDT for a cover and a kick out. As Bianca is getting up, Julio clutches her from behind, taking her back down with a german suplex. He helps her to her feet and gets her against the ropes, whipping her across the ring. However, when she bounds back, she lands a huge chop right to Julio's chest. Followed by another. She bounds back to the ropes, bounding off into a spinning heel kick that takes Banks down to the canvas. They both get up, and Bianca takes Banks with a snapmare, gunning for the ropes again, before hitting a knee trembler right to Julio's face. She covers for a two count. On their feet again, Bianca knees him into the midsection, followed by another knee. As Banks is bent over, she lifts her leg high into an axe kick. She walks over to his legs, trying to get him over into a boston crab position. After much struggling, she does. However, it doesn't take much for Julio to crab walk to the bottom rope through the pain. The referee taps Bianca's shoulder, that she needs to let go, and she does. She's forced to back off, as Julio gets to his feet. Bianca immediately rushes him, but he catches her into a spinning belly-to-belly. They fight to their feet, Julio still in control. He slams her back to the mat with a hard scoop slam. He helps her to her feet again, Bianca now looking a little bit sluggish. Julio slings her arm over himself, looking out at the crowd before lifting her up above his head. He keeps her there for a moment, too long in fact. Upside down, Bianca brings her knee down, and connects with Julio's head, which causes him to drop her forward. She lands on her feet, leaning back into the ropes. She bounces off into a slingshot move, but is instantly taken down by a well placed closeline. He walks over to her, stalking her from behind with his arms out wide but Bianca is playing opossum as she quickly rolls Julio up. She gets a two count but he kicks out. They stand up and Bianca levels him with a big boot, using her long legs. She has the match in hand but no! Cait Flanagan is ringside with her boyfriend Josh Anderson. They distract Bianca long enough for Julio to nail her with Cut The Check (Buckshot Lariat). He the pins her and he gets the three count and the win! Melanie: Hey Jade, what’s up?
Jade smiles and waves.
Jade Night: Mel, I just wanted to let you know that I’ve taken notice of your actions and how you’ve spoken about GEW. I appreciate the support you’ve given Liberty and I’m glad you’re on our side. Eventually? I might need your help. Stay ready.
Before Melanie could respond, Jade walks away. Melanie shrugged and nodded, not affected much by the things Jade said. Melanie goes back to her workout and the scene cuts away.

A frustrated former Gotham.champion and Brooklyn's own Scotty Latimer is shown dragging a cameraman into a hallway. The feed cuts to the camera the guy was holding as its focused on the face of Scotty who's eyes were expressing what he wanted to say.
Scotty: Hi everyone...just wanted to give those fans that tune in to Liberation to see me wrestle at least the chance to see me on the show. Because I'm not wrestling on Liberation tonight. If you missed the f*cking pre show then you lost your opportunity tonight to see me wrestle. Because that's where it has been decided that Scotty Latimer belongs. Like some newbie or jabroni looking to get booked I am pre show.
Scotty smiles as you can see his frustration.
Scotty: And why because I haven't chosen a side in this stupid GEW vs Liberty Pro feud, which has cost me matches and most importantly was responsible for f*cking up my Liberty championship match because instead of getting Helena one on one match that I EARNED!!
The cameraman jumped back a little as Scotty took a deep breath and composed himself a little.
Scotty: That battle royal I fought and won gave me that right...my loyalty and passion I have for Liberty…earned me that right...Yet loyalty doesn't mean s*it to you does it Jade. I'm the one that is getting the shaft here with this war. And now my eyes are opened.
Scotty rubs his face with both hands and takes a deep breath.
Scotty: Liberty Pro doesn't give a shit about my loyalty, and I'm honestly not what GEW is looking for in a star because I'm not the type that posts modeling photos to promote a match. So what is a Rogue Nightmare to do? That's easy….take matters into my own hands…
Scotty grabs the cameraman by both shoulders as he drops the camera. Scotty tosses him hard into the wall which was caught at a weird angle by the camera lying on the ground. Scotty drops onto his stomach and tilts his head to look into the camera.
Scotty: I am now a lone wolf. I am only about Scotty Latimer. I'm not GEW and sure as f*ck not Liberty Pro. I'm going to have some fun now...fun for me….bad for you. So make sure you are watching vveerryy close Jade. And as for the roster...grow eyes in the back of your heads. Because you'll never know when I am coming. Especially you Helena...because come hell or high water I will get my one on one match. And I will win the Liberty title. And I will be leaving bodies everywhere till O get what I am just due….
Love you Carter

MATCH TWO: SINGLES
Brady Vega vs Cait Flanagan
Brady Vega vs Cait Flanagan
RECAP The two start out into a slow flow of lockups and breakages. Brady is well versed in multiple holds, but Cait is out to show that she can out work him. The chain through together, between headlocks, full nelsons, wrist locks, standing armbar, and down the body they went. Brady, able to break free of an extension technique from Cait, ran for the ropes, bounding back into a swinging neckbreaker. They both get to their feet, and Cait tries to rush him, but runs right into a judo throw. It catches Cait off guard, and her legs fly through the air before she hits the canvas hard. He tries to take advantage of the situation by getting her into a triangle hold. However, Cait knows her submissions, and doesn't allow Brady to get in completely. She fights against him, ending up on top of him, pounding down with multiple right hands and elbows. A bad spot for Brady to be in. Cait gets to her feet, and Brady tries to do the same but she kicks him back down, right to the side of the head. She goes for a pin but Brady kicks out. She chicken wings his arm around his back as he gets up, and they dance around the ring for a few seconds before her grip begins to slip. She's forced to pin his arm behind his back, and deliver a modified russian leg sweep. Brady holds his arm in pain, rolling around the ring. Cait reaches down, laying Vega's arm out on the canvas, and stomping on it. Again, he rolls around the ring in pain, yelling out loud. Cait reaches down again, trying for the same move, but Brady kicks her away. She comes back and he does the same, so this time she grabs his leg. She takes the leg, quickly locking a Boston crab with force. Vega yells out, seemingly trapped. So close, yet so far away from the ropes. He fights to break free but it doesn't work, and he slowly comes to the realization that he needs to try for the ropes. Just when he's about to tap, he reachessssss as far over as he can and almost leaps for the ropes, causing extra pain. But Brady snags the ropes, pulling them towards himself, but hanging on for dear life. The referee forces Cait to release. Quickly, she helps him to his feet, throwing him into a DDT position that Brady powers out of. He keeps hold of Cait's arm, twisting it into a wrist-lock short lariat. It sends her to the canvas hard, but takes a lot out of him. Cait gets to her feet, and Brady walks up behind her, catching her with a bridging dragonplex! Cait kicks out, but Brady seems to be building some steam. But Josh Anderson is on the canvas now yelling at Vega. Vega is distracted enough for Cait to nail Irish Goodbye - Double underhook piledriver (Pedigree). Vega is out and as it looks like Cait is going to go for the pin, Bianca Page is charging down the entrance way and she slams a chair onto the back of Josh Anderson. She continues to beat down the former respected world champion turned manager/sugar daddy. Cait screams at Bianca, telling her to stop. This gives Vega his opening and he nails Cait with The Gate Keeper's Remorse(Dragon Sleeper into a grapevine.). She struggles in the hold before finally tapping out. The bell rings and Brady is announced the winner. Page slides into the ring and she slams the chair down on Cait for good measure, then drops the bent chair next to her and leaves. Brady shrugs it off and continues to celebrate his big win. WINNER Brady Vega METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 13:12 FINISHING MOVE The Gate Keeper’s Remorse |

That’s beneath me, the other three can scramble to be the best of the worst but me? I’m just there to make sure this match has SOMEthing in it for the fans…

[Alex rolls her eyes and crosses her arms over her chest before chuckling at her own jokes once again.]

What I am going to do, is make sure you all hold off on your pissbreak until after I make my mark… after that? Piss on em for all I care.

RINGSIDE
The cameras cut to ringside, the Liberty Pro fans reacting to that familiar Black Eyed Peas song playing as shiny mylar confetti begins to fall from the rafters, the lights flicker, dim down, and are replaced with colorful strobes in royal purple, silvery white, and sparkles. Over the tron comes the video clips showing big career highlights for Liberty Pro Tag Team Champions, Girls of Summer. The matches, the moments, the teams they've defeated all in a well-edited reel. The curtains part and out step Coral and Nami, looking lovely in outfits that match the colors of the lights. Around their waists are those coveted Liberty Pro Tag Team Championships, gleaming as the lights come up normal and the video presentation ends. The Girls make it to the ring and enter, Coral going to the ropes to take microphones from the timekeeper and handing one to her sister before she waves at the fans and then turns, pointing back up to the image on the screen displaying the Liberty Pro logo as the music fades.
Coral: See that? That's home, for us. Coral and Nami...
Nami: The Girls of Summer, Liberty Pro’s Tag Champions!
The two beam at each other, then smile out at the fans, before Nami's expression goes far more serious. She looks to her sister then out at the fans, gesturing from one side of the ring to the other. She paces back and forth, Coral's eyes following her before they both uncannily at the same time look towards the fans and the cams.
Nami: We're the best Tag Team Champions in Liberty Pro's history. Hands down. No matter what we've had to deal with, and let me tell you it's been a lot - we did what we had to do. Unlike some folks, we're not afraid to win. Now sometimes, we get frustrated.
Coral: Yes, we hella heckin do. I know that it might be hard for some people to understand that. To empathize with the struggle we've had, and that's fine. That's fine.
Nami: Naturally, there's always someone that tries to disrespect us with the same tired lines that didn't work for the last loser team to take a run at us, you think people would get a clue. They puff up. They mention our surfing background, how we talk. Try to spin a tale that we got where we are sleeping to the top, even though all the proof is there to be seen. We fought teams that crumbled once we defeated them. Vanishing in some cases without warning, even! It's almost like they couldn't back up what they said or buckle up and get better after! Fancy that, right? Heck, I wish some of them would get their heads on straight, work hard, come back and get knocked down on their butts again!
Coral who'd been nodding as her sister picks up the narrative suddenly grins and they share a look before she adds.
Coral: Frankly we don't care if they do or not. There are teams out there that know how to be respectful, we guess. So here we are. Just two champions, asking for something. Something huge. Something important.
Coral pauses, and puts on the most honest to God soulful expression perhaps ever seen on her face.
Coral: Two LIBERTY PRO Tag Team Champions... standing in front of the fans, waiting for some real challengers! Give us what we want! It's literally not too much to ask, is it? We need to keep Endless Summer rolling, and to do that we need matches!
Nami: So get yourselves together and let's GO! We promise, it'll be HELLA AWESOME.
Just as that was said, a roar is heard through the arena and the lights shut off. They come back on and there are two men in each corner of the ring. One is former Liberty Pro member Jacob Daniels and wait! The other is his former tag team partner from their debut in Inferno Wrestling, Chase Hunter! The Girls of Summer look around confused and before they can react, the two men who made up the team known as The Pride, take Coral and Nami out with big boots in sync! JD then picks up Coral and drives her down with Bombs Away (Scoop Lift Spun Out into a Reverse STO). Chase Hunter then drops Nami with the Motorcity Murder (Yokosuka cutter). JD and Chase grab the microphones on the ground and begin to speak.
JD: You’re right, you are the greatest Tag Team Champions this company has ever seen. But then again, all you’ve had to fight are rag tag teams. Nothing like us. Nothing like The Pride. So this is your wake up call.
Chase nods in agreement as he stands next to his tag team partner.
Chase Hunter: Welcome To The Pride.
“Welcome To The Pride (remix)” by Five Finger Death Punch blares over the PA system as Chase and JD grab the Tag Team Championships and hold them in the air for a moment but dropping them next to Coral and Nami. The two giant men then exit the ring as the scene cuts away.
Those who are strong are destined to yield to ones who are far stronger. But their souls will not lose as long as they have pride.
Deep in the bowels of the Hammerstein Ballroom, Precious Pepper Vain pads through its hallowed halls with her mentor Gustav Pascenko.
Gus casts a glance Vain’s way, but she doesn’t react.
Her stinging loss at Resurrection poisoned her days and nights since. Has her shame ever been greater? There’s nothing crueler than letting a dream end midway.
Opportunity was on the tip of her toes. Victory at Resurrection would have been an enormous feat witnessed by the entire wrestling world, from top to bottom. The seminal moment of PPV’s career to date.
Instead, sweat painted PPVs face that night, stinging her eyes, and she could feel the clumsy ache in her leaden limbs. Laying flat on the canvas. Looking up into the lights. Looking up at a triumphant Helena Noir. She won’t want to see that replayed too many times.
She kept the pain of that defeat in her heart.
The defiant rebound from humiliation did not come to be, however.
She’ll remember Carmen Cambridge bragging of her win last time out. She’ll remember another failure to her name. But most of all she remembers the knives she felt in her back as she went by her peers that night ahead of her contest. She could hear their thoughts as clearly as though they spoke them aloud: why should I, PPV, be given another chance to be #1 contender to the Liberty crown when there were others more worthy of the honour?'
Yet now the former Anarchy champion nonchalantly looks herself over in her handheld mirror. Precious is dressed handsomely, and shows her usual polish wearing a fur waistcoat and no coat. Gus speaks up.
Gustavo Pascenko: “I know if you win tonight this will feel, at best, a consolation prize but-”
PPV: “What is there to be said, Gus? Tonight will serve as another measure of my abilities. I can accept that and play my part in what is to come, or I can sulk in the margins and accomplish nothing. The Anarchy division has been in the mud since I left it. I’ll give colour to it again. It's that simple.”
Her eyes never leave the mirror as they walk. Gus nods, knowing why she takes it everywhere now, and stares straight ahead, as they march on to the future.

MATCH THREE: ANARCHY CHAMPIONSHIP
Junior Hardy vs Precious Pepper Vain vs Brien Storm vs Alex Reeves
Junior Hardy vs Precious Pepper Vain vs Brien Storm vs Alex Reeves
RECAP The bell rings and Precious Pepper Vain darts across the ring towards Junior, obviously wanting to get her Anarchy Championship back after having it stolen away from her. Junior is caught off guard as PPV forces him into the corner. They fight back and forth with right hands, as Brien and Alex tie up. Reeves transitions into a headlock, and Brien transitions out, twisting Alex's arm, before leaping into a bulldog. Pepper Vain whips Junior out of the corner, aiming for the opposite corner, but Brien is in the way. Junior jumps into the air, catching Brien for a DDT on the way down. Junior quickly rolls out of the ring as a defensive maneuver to avoid whatever PPV might be up to. Pepper Vain looks to the outside of the ring at Junior, but she is caught off guard with a forearm from Reeves. It makes her stumble back, so she hits the ropes and catches her again, this time with a flying forearm, taking her to the canvas. On his feet now, Brien baseball slides into Junior on the outside. He hits the floor, and Storm continues sliding out of the ring. As Hardy gets to his feet, Brien knocks him back down with a spinning backfist. Reeves tries to nail Pepper Vain with a curb stomp, but she gets up too fast, knocking her in the face with a hard european uppercut. She falls back into the corner, and Pepper Vain runs at her, landing a dropkick right to her chest. On the outside, Junior has battled his way upwards, before bouncing off the barricade and hitting Brien with a flying knee. Junior then picks Brien up and throws him right into the turnbuckle post. Storm ends up slung around it for a moment, until Junior slides Brien into the ring, and Junior too, gets into the ring. Of course, that's right as Pepper Vain is once again, whipping someone from the same corner. Alex just so happens to knock right into Junior as he's standing on the apron, sending him right back down. Pepper Vain tries to grab Alex again, but she kicks him away, before launching herself into a crossbody to Junior on the outside. Brien stands up, and realizes he's alone in the ring with Pepper Vain, so he focuses on her instead. Storm hits PPV with a Russian leg sweep. Brien tries to grab Pepper Vain's legs, and she kicks up, right to his jaw. He holds his jaw, stumbling in the opposite direction as PPV gets to her feet. At the same time, Alex hopped up on the apron. PPV sees her, rushing towards her instead, in hopes of knocking her off the apron. Alex simply pulls the ropes down, sending Pepper Vain crashing to the outside. Brien capitalizes though, walking up to Alex still standing on the apron, and suplexing her into the ring, before he transitions into a camel clutch. Alex fights struggles, and both Junior and Pepper Vain get to their feet...right next to each other. They go to slide in, but lock eyes, and begin trading blows between themselves. Luckily for them, Alex reaches the bottom rope. Precious then slams Junior into the barricade on the outside. Pepper Vain stomps on Junior, and Junior fights his way to his feet. He rushes forward, spearing Pepper Vain into the other side of the barricade. Junior begins to taunt the crowd now, claiming GEW now owns the Anarchy Championship. This gives PPV time to recover and Precious Pepper Vain spears Junior to the floor. Together, they're throwing punches galore. Inside the ring, Alex and Brien are battling for control of the match but Reeves levels Brien with Jawbreaker (Shiranui). But instead of pinning him, she decides to… WALK AWAY!? PPV and Junior notice but PPV slams Junior into the ring post. She then hits the top ropes and nails her Collapsing Star. She pins Brien and gets the three count! She’s the Anarchy Champion again! PPV grabs the championship and lifts it in the air in victory. WINNER Precious Pepper Vain METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 15:21 FINISHING MOVE Collapsing Star |

Brianna Clark: You know, sometimes this business really surprises me. It wasn’t that long ago that I was gunning for a chance at the Gotham Championship - and trust me I’m not unaware of what’s going on with it. That’s ...that’s a real shame that is.
Brianna shakes her head, the hint of her smile hovering at the corners of her mouth as she looks around her locker area. Everything in its place, where it’ll be waiting for her to come back after her upcoming match. Stepping forward towards the counter she checks herself in the mirror, making a low sound under her breath before undoing the way her hair’s braided and starting over.
Brianna Clark: But that’s also not something I care about tonight. A lot of really weird things have been happening here, and one of the strangest has been this whole Derrick La’Bell saga with the Liberty In the Bank case.
A pause, and Brianna looks deadpan in the mirror, making eye contact with whoever is holding the camera filming her.
Brianna Clark: Excuse me, “Championship” that he’s… well I guess you could say that Derrick went out and secured that bag. Good for him. He saw a chance and he gambled, look at him now. Derrick isn’t like a lot of other wrestlers I’ve faced or been around. He’s kind of humble? Kind of knows himself, is aware of who he is. He was straight up, no screwing around when we had our match. But the thing is, afterward he didn’t try to belittle me. He didn’t try to make excuses about why he lost either. He was respectful and then he moved on. That’s like a cool breeze on a hot day, honestly. Really rare in a business that thrives on people talking themselves up while trying to shove you back down the mountain, right?
A wry expression then and she takes a breath before turning back to the camera, braid finished. That megawatt smile of hers coming back brighter than ever.
Brianna Clark: Which is going to really make this interesting, tonight. I’m sure that now he’s got his hands on that Liberty In the Bank case he’s going to want to do anything he can to keep it. I don’t blame him, it represents a whole lot when you think about it. But while I don’t blame him, and I feel for the guy and his journey to be the best? I’m going to admit I want that thing too. It’s possibilities, you see. It’s hope, it’s a shot for something bigger and better. Of course I want that!
Brianna’s smile mellows out and she starts to head for her locker door.
Brianna Clark: Really, be honest. Who wouldn’t want it? So I’m going to do my best to get it while Derrick does his best to keep it. I can’t wait!
She almost skips as she’s heading out, a bounce in her steps and confidence in the set of her shoulders.

BACKSTAGE
Alex Reeves is walking backstage, laughing at the actions she pulled earlier in the night in her fatal four way match for the Anarchy Championship but she then runs into the GM of Liberty, Jade Night, who is readjusting the medical tape on her nose, which is there after Xavier Laroux headbutted her and gave her a bloody nose during the pre show.
Jade Night: Alex Reeves. Just the person I was looking for.
Alex looks over Jade and makes an ‘ouch’ expression at her face.
Alex Reeves: Well, you found me.
Jade gives a light laugh at Alex’s reaction before nodding.
Jade Night: Right. Now, I wanted to talk about your actions tonight and no, I’m not mad you walked out. That was your choice.
Jade offers a slight smile and shrugs.
Jade Night: You did what you had to do to get your point across and the message was received. I have respect for someone who takes their future in their own hands and is absolutely confident about it. You’ve already shown how much you want to prove yourself by your actions and the comments you’ve made here and on social media.
Jade places a hand on Alex’s shoulder and Alex looks down at Jade’s hand with a furrowed brow.
Jade Night: Needless to say, I want you on my side. There’s a storm brewing with this crossbrand bullshit and I want someone on my side who wants to see it end just as much as I do. There’s people here that support other places that enjoy their over-exposure and don’t concern themselves with hard work to try and achieve their goals. No, they’re looking for handouts. But you? Not you. Which is why I’ve come to you. So… If I need you, will you be there?
Alex pauses for a moment and then smiles broadly. Nodding her head she puts her hands to her hips in a confident stance.
Alex Reeves: Of course. It’s nice to know that the people who matter are hearing me. And you’re right, the same people I have nothing but disdain for, are the ones trying to straddle the line. GEW or anyone else who thinks they can cross lines and receive no recompense? They need to be smacked back into place and I’m more than happy to be the hand you use to do it.
Alex then tilts her head to the side with a nod and smiles again at Jade.
Alex Reeves: And, when the time comes? I’m sure you’ll reward me for my loyalty. And hard work.
Jade smiles widely, which she rarely does, and nods.
Jade Night: I knew you and I would understand each other completely. It was great talking to you, Alex. You weren’t lying when you told Liberty this is a new era of the Reeves name. See you around.
Jade taps Alex on the shoulder and walks off, leaving Alex to herself as the scene cuts away.

MATCH FOUR: TAG
TJ Techniques & Kendrick Kross vs Melanie & Max Cerrano
TJ Techniques & Kendrick Kross vs Melanie & Max Cerrano
RECAP Kendrick starts the match off across from Melanie, as they two have had their fair share of problems. Kross doesn’t waste any time in taking the fight to Melanie, upset with how she’s kept the Anarchy Championship from him so many times and had the audacity to confront him and make him lose it last week. Kendrick runs and surprises Melanie with a quick series of punches that back her up into the ropes. The punches aren’t overly damaging, but they’re fast and frequent enough that Melanie can only play defense. Kendrick uses this to his advantage as he drives his knee into Melanie’s gut and then just barely misses a superkick. Mel regains herself as she waits for Kendrick to come at her. As Kendrick charges at her, Melanie catches him with a judo hip toss. Kendrick crashes to the mat as Melanie hits the ropes and drops a leg across Kendrick’s neck. She goes for a very early cover, but Kendrick kicks out before the referee even starts to count. Melanie lifts Kendrick up and whips him hard into their corner. She goes over and tags her partner in and Max enters the ring. Max and Melanie show their chemistry as they hit the ropes at the same time and deliver a stiff lariat from him and a leg sweep from her, what a combination! Melanie exits the ring as Max covers Kendrick but Kross kicks out after two! Max lifts Kendrick up to his feet and whips him into the ropes. Kendrick rebounds right into a huge lariat from the Gotham Champion! Cerrano then picks Kross up and delivers a belly to belly suplex. Another pin attempt produces a two count this time, but still not enough. Max gets up and throws Kendrick into the corner and he and Melanie begin to work over Kendrick together. Eventually Kendrick is able to break free from Melanie’s attack though. Kendrick hits the ropes and lands a diving double clothesline on both competitors. Both wrestlers drop to the mat. A few moments pass and eventually, Max gets back to the corner and Melanie is able to tag Max in, and he sprints across the ring to try to prevent the tag, but it’s too late! Kendrick dives and gets TJ into the match! TJ starts off hot, dropping Max with a chop block and then knocking Melanie off the apron. Techniques keeps the attack on, earning a near fall after a step-up high knee to Max in the corner before dropping him with a swinging neckbreaker. After the near-fall, TJ starts to set up for the a sharpshooter but Max shakes free before he can lock it in. Max delivers a kick to TJ’s guy before he lifts him up and brings him crashing down with a sitout powerbomb that earns a two-count. Max gets TJ in the corner and begins to once again work the tag team magic with Melanie, showing that his side has much more chemistry in this bout so far. The Gotham Champion and Melanie are able to seamlessly transition in and out with one another and constantly keep the attack on. All hope for Kendrick and TJ seems lost when Melanie is able to hit a spinning back elbow on TJ. She goes for the cover and gets a one...two...thre-no! TJ kicks out somehow! Showing his resilencancy! Melanie gets up and pulls TJ with her. She whips TJ across the ring and into the ropes. But somehow Kendrick is able to reach out and tag himself in! Melanie doesn’t see it as she hits TJ with a flying hip bump! Melanie lands and turns around, right as Kendrick leaps off the top rope and takes Melanie down with a hurricanrana! Kendrick is quickly up to his feet as Melanie slowly pulls herself up. She turns around, right into a snap powerslam and It connects! Down goes Melanie as Kendrick hooks her leg. The pin goes to two but Melanie kicks out. On the outside of the ring, Max starts to grow impatient. He walks over to TJ who has been recovering and he grabs him and slams him into the ring steps. Max then grabs the number one contender to his championship and levels him with Kill Your Masters - Flatliner transitioned smoothly into a Koji Clutch. TJ struggles in the hold and taps out though it doesn’t matter as they are outside of the ring and neither of them are legal. This ends up distracting Kendrick and when he turns around, Melanie destroys him with Mel-Bow Effect (Spinning back elbow). For good measure, she takes him out with “Phantom Stepper” (Double Stomp Moonsault). She pins him and gets the three count and the win for her and Max! The bell rings and Max lets go of TJ. He looks into the ring and gives Melanie a nod of approval, which she gives him in return. WINNER Melanie & Max Cerrano METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 20:43 FINISHING MOVE Phantom Stepper |

Coming fresh off his Liberation victory, the camera finds Julio Banks backstage as he’s wiping off the sweat from his brow with a small towel. How tonight’s match went down wasn’t exactly how he planned on picking up a bounceback win, but hey, a win’s a win and Julio isn’t going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
Julio: Well, would you look at that? Banks back on top, but I’m not going to act like that was all me. Cause momma raised an honest man and I know it wasn’t, but I’m too blessed to be stressed about this beef with Bianca and Cait. When you walk this path, you gotta accept everything that comes your way. You don’t make it this far without a bit of luck and some people believing in you.
At the mention of the fans, Julio flashes that million dollar smile of his for a moment and uses that pause to catch his breath following the match before carrying on.
Julio: And now we’re gonna use this to keep moving on up. We had our setback, but it’s exactly that, something we can set in the back and move past. I got that taste of championship gold and now I want the whole damn thing. Can’t lie, I got a bit of envy when I see some of you walking around here with your belts, so consider this a heads up that I got my eyes on you, so you best be watching me too.
A quick wink from Julio, just doing his best to keep everyone honest in Liberty Pro.
Julio: Now I know we got ourselves a stacked show and I’m not going to waste too much more of your valuable time, but just know The International isn’t stopping anytime soon and if you love me, know that I love you too, and if you don’t? That’s alright cause I got love for my haters too, I need y’all to keep me humble, and when you see that gold dripping off my waist, I’ll need y’all for my bandwagon.
Perhaps not so humble after all, but Julio Banks knows that and you can see it in those devilish eyes of his with that smile accompanying them. He loves the attention and nothing’s gonna change that. And we wrap this up as Julio tosses the towel over the camera and we jump to elsewhere in the arena.

BACKSTAGE
The scene flips backstage where we see none other than the Lightbringer herself, Kaia Grainger. In tow of course is her Liberty Pro US Championship, nestled nicely on her shoulder as she offers a soft and subtle smile, as she lets her hair fall to the side, that smile turning into more of a smirk.
Kaia Grainger: Well, Well if it isn’t another Liberation. Another moment to showcase the amazing talent of Liberty Pro and of course a chance to see yours truly.
She gave a bit of a dip to that as she wore a dazzling white number to match the mood of her namesake.
Kaia Grainger: Tonight I get the rare and awesome honor to face someone who I think is one of the biggest names I’ve faced yet and that’s saying something considering I’ve been up against some of the best that Liberty Pro has to offer. Brien Storm, Tyson Gregory, Scotty Latimer, the list goes on, and while I seriously respect every one of those names I’ve listed, my opponent in Lizzie Jones, earns that and then some.
She pauses momentarily.
Kaia Grainger: To be able to come back from what you did Lizzie and be able to compete at the level you have, I’m not sure how anyone couldn’t admire that. Sure, there will be naysayers. . . because aren’t there always, but I’m not one of those people. I admire people who take initiative, who have drive, passion, and overall want to showcase what it takes to make it in this business. The way we do that might be different, but there isn’t much else I can say but, mad respect.
She smiles brightly further.
Kaia Grainger: Other than that, all that’s left to say is lets show the world what we’re made of, and may the best woman. . . win!
Kaia hoists her title up onto her shoulder before she walks out of the scene and it fades to black.

Standing by with Dante Chapel is...Lizzie Jones!
Dante: “Lizzie, firstly, thanks for joining me.”
She politely nods, but no words yet. He waits for a second, then clears his throat and continues.
Dante: “Okay, well, tonight sees you facing Kaia Granger - a beautif...I mean a very capable woman, who won the Liberty US title at Resurrection. Do you have any thoughts on facing her?”
Liz rolls her eyes, then grabs the mic from him.
Lizzie: “Do I have thoughts? I’m not Freddie fuckhead Hjalmar, so of course I have thoughts. All I’ve been doing lately is thinking. Thinking and preparing. Not to face a narcissist LARPer price wannabe like Freddo, but to be facing champions. As you said, Kaia is just that and while this isn’t a title match tonight, a win over her still puts me in a good position to mount a challenge.”
Dante looks at her as she finishes up, then tentatively leans in to speak into the mic. She moves it back and he kinda stumbled, until she shoves him away again. Then she gives him the mic for a moment.
Dante: “Kaia herself spoke about how respect goes a long way between two opponents...do you respect her?”
Another scoff as Liz pulls the mic back.
Lizzie: “I respect that she’s capable in the ring. Her as a person? I don’t know her. But she seems one of those goody-goody types, reminds me of like a Kenzie Rydell sort. I guess I’ll see for myself soon, but so far? I can’t say I really care. See, for me, she’s just an obstacle. If you know anything about anything, you know I overcome obstacles. Plenty of idiots out there think I’m here to make up numbers, but the only numbers that matter to me here are dollars in the bank and wins on my record. Tonight I’m putting a nice plus into both of those, and that’s just the way it’s gonna be.”
She holds the microphone back out for Dante, but drops it when he reaches. By the time he’s retrieved it, she’s already distanced herself and is simply walking away.

MATCH FIVE: SINGLES
Kaia Grainger vs Lizzie Jones
Kaia Grainger vs Lizzie Jones
RECAP The match starts off at full intensity with a surprise running knee from Lizzie. Kaia is staggered, knocked clean back into her corner where Lizzie is able to hit a step up enziguri. Before Lizzie can continue the assault, Kaia recovers and counters with a hip toss. As soon Lizzie charges again, but gets the same result. A third hip toss sends Lizzie into the corner where she’s met with a running dropkick from Grainger! Lizzie clutches at her sides for a few moments before pulling herself up using the ropes. As Kaia charges in again, she vaults up right onto the top rope, avoiding the incoming attack and waiting for Grainger to stumble back out into position for a diving crossbody! Lizzie rolls through to hook the leg and go for a pin, but barely gets two before Kaia kicks out. As Lizzie tries to drag Grainger up to her feet, Kaia surprises her with a northern lights suplex that leaves her seeing stars and wide open for the somersault senton that follows. Lizzie seems out of it as she gets to her feet, and Kaia looks to finish her off with a German suplex, bridging for the pin and getting one… two… and a kickout from Lizzie! Over the next several minutes Lizzie battles back, attacking Kaia’s legs to slow her down. Lizzie buys herself the time to go up top for a diving leg lariat, popping back to her feet with a kip up to follow with a moonsault leg drop. The crowd is behind Kaia, changing and clapping to get her back to her feet. Grainger gets to a knee, but it opens her up for a shining wizard from Lizzie. The crowd jeers, but it doesn’t stop Lizzie from stalking over Grainger and confidently waiting for Kaia to start to come to. As soon as Grainger has made it to her feet and turned in the right direction, Lizzie hits her Bonne Nuit (Headlock driver) and leans back to hook Kaia’s legs for the pin! She gets one… two… AND Grainger KICKS OUT! The crowd is electric, but Lizzie is fuming. Kaia gets to her knees and throws a closed fist into Lizzie’s midsection as she tries to step in. Lizzie grabs the back of Grainger’s ring gear, only to get another shot to the midsection! Kaia unleashes several more as she powers to her feet, the audience fully behind her. She unloads a blinding flurry of strikes, working from the legs all the way up to the head, finishing off with a leg sweep to plant Lizzie on the canvas. With the cheers of the crowd all but drowning out everything else. Kaia goes to the top rope for her Astronomical- Corkscrew Diving Stunner (from the ropes). Lizzie stirs and Kaia hits it but Lizzie’s momentum causes her to roll out of the ring. The referee begins the count but Kaia isn’t having any of this and she exits the ring to retrieve Lizzie. With the referee not being able to see as Kaia bends down to pick Lizzie up, Jones uses this opportunity to throw some kind of salt or sand in the eyes of Kaia. Kaia is blinded and Lizzie slams her head on the apron before rolling her in the ring. Lizzie doesn’t waste any time as she takes the blinded Kaia out with The Calamity (Running single leg front dropkick) as soon as she got to her feet. Lizzie pins and picks up the three count and the win, getting a victory over the United States Champion. WINNER Lizzie Jones METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 13:22 FINISHING MOVE The Calamity POST MATCH With the match won, Lizzie gets onto the microphone and waits for the booing to subside a tad before she speaks. Lizzie: “I will say, Kaia, you were right about one thing: this is business. But my business here, my business in Liberty right now? It’s building my reputation back up. It’s building those wins, it’s taking on champions, it’s defeating whoever gets put against me.” Liz scoffs. Lizzie: “Consider this my statement of intention. Nothing personal, just happens you have something I want and as we all know...I get what I want.” She smirks now. Lizzie: “Ciao for now.” And drops the mic, leaving up the entrance ramp as Kaia glares at her from the ring. |

One of the newest signees to Liberty Pro, Mighty Sparrow pops up in front of the camera. He runs a hand through blonde dreads before putting his hands together in a sign of prayer. His eyes close. Deep breath. Pause for effect and just to be dramatic before his fingers coil down save for both index fingers. He points to the camera and cracks a grin, Trinidadian lit accenting his voice.
Sparrow: Liberty Pro, the Master Of The Kick has arrived. Now hol’ on, hol’ on. I ain’t want y’all to think I’m just run of the mill, ‘oh this guy is kinda flash, he think he kinda nice, he stylin’,’ and so on and so forth. None of that ya see. I’m like killer wit’ the kicks, you see what I sayin’? I’m Triple spinnin' kicks, side kicks, and hook kicks. I’m like ‘my kick bad, my kick hood, my kick do stuff ya kicks wish they would’. I’m like, I’m like...Alive and Kicking, I’m like Kickin’ Back, I’m like ‘Can I kick it’... I’m like...
Sparrow takes a minute to really put his thinking cap on. There’s only so many kick-based puns and bits you can rattle off in a few moments. You have to let it breathe. Finally, the person behind the camera cuts in briefly.
Cameraman: Kickstart my Heart?
Sparrow: I ain’t even cuff with Motley Crue like that ya know brethren but yes. I came through to Liberty Pro, and one or two of y’all lookin’ a little familiar from other places I haunt but the rest...Well, you’ll get to know me real quick, real soon. Bless up.
Sparrow makes a motion and walks out of the shot. After a few moments...
Cameraman: So wait, that’s it? Not even a, ‘I’m coming for all the gold’ or something like that?
The Trinidadian wrestler pokes his head back in the shot.
Sparrow: Oh. Yeah. I comin’ for all the gold.
Cameraman: ...Better.

BACKSTAGE
The camera moves backstage where we see Carmen Cambridge sitting on a trash can with the lid on it. Upon noticing the camera, she hops off the trash can and wipes her backside off.
Carmen Cambridge: Tonight I have to team with the man I prolly hate more than anyone else in Liberty, to take on the champ, Helena and the lil win stealer herself Honey Boo Boo. So, to commemorate the moment, I thought I would show you what I think of them. At least one of them.
Carmen turns around and picks up the trash can that she was previously sitting on. She pulls the lid off and then dumps the trash can contents all over the ground and pictures of Honey spill all over, and the camera happens to focus in on the picture of Honey laying on top of Carmen and pinning her just a few episodes ago.
Carmen Cambridge: What do we have here?
Carmen bends over and scoops the picture up in her hands and examines it before slowly ripping it in two and dropping the pieces to the ground.
Carmen Cambridge: That's right Honey Boo Boo, you know that I had you beat when we went one on one and the ONLY thing that gave you that W over me was my own partner tonight, Tyson. He laid me out with a chair and literally dragged your lil body on top of mines, but what happened? You didn't apologize to the fans for how you won, did you? You kept that lil innocent aura about you and went on about your biz and kept that W close to your chest. I don't blame you. A win over me is something special, but we both know you didn't earn it. And Helana? The champ herself.
Carmen's playfulness fades a bit as the number one contender looks down at all of the contents on the floor, and none of it has anything to do with the Liberty Champion.
Carmen Cambridge: I don't have anything bad to say about you at the moment. You're the champ for a reason, but just know that the moment I beat Pepper Vain, your championship reign? A clock appeared over it. The countdown is on baby girl and it's only a matter of time until that championship match between us is made official and when I have my shot, I won't let it pass me by. That title is mines, but I know, talk is cheap right? That's why tonight we get to give the world a lil preview of what's to come. Which brings me to my partner...
Rolling her eyes, Carmen crosses her arms and taps her fingernails against her arm.
Carmen Cambridge: You know as much as I don't like him sometime, we've already proven that we can team together. We might try and one up the other the entire time, but all that does is bring the best outta both of us, and I know if Tyson brings his best and can keep his lil temper in check, we can win this match. Out of Honey or Tyson, I would one hundred percent choose him as my partner any day of the week. All I'll say is this Ty...watch ya step, lemme lead...and you'll have another win over the champion to brag about...and me? I'ma carry that momentum all the way into the future when we have that match Helena...I'll see you guys out there.

MATCH SIX: SINGLES
Rory vs Nathalie Genevieve
Rory vs Nathalie Genevieve
RECAP The pair inches towards each other, going into a tie up which Rory gets the better of. He sends Nathalie over into a snapmare and then throws her into a chinlock. He retches backwards but she's not giving in, so he let's go to knee her in the back before applying the chinlock again. Nathalie reaches upwards, throwing her fists wildly at Rory to try getting him to let go. It doesn't work, but she does manage to use both hands to lock onto his head. She tries to bring him up and over her seated position, doesn't work, so instead she pushes upwards, and begins getting to her feet but she sits back down! bam! The quick thinking manages to hit Rory with a stunner variation. The crowd is surprised that it happened to work, but we've already seen what Nathalie can accomplish. Both Rory and Nathalie make it to their feet at the same time. He closelines Nathalie down to the canvas, and she kips up near the ropes. He rushes her again, hitting her with another closeline, but this time sending her well over the top. She tumbles down to the ground but somehow lands on her feet. To the surprise of the crowd, you can even hear some gasp. It doesn't seem like a surprise to Nathalie though, as she immediately grabs Rory's leg out from under him. Rory hits the canvas, and Nathalie climbs to the apron. He comes near her but she elbows his gut through the ropes. Nathalie slingshots herself up and over, catching Rory on the way down into a spinning DDT! She goes for the cover but Rory kicks out. Rory starts getting to his feet but Nathalie is on him like white on rice. She starts hammering away, with mostly open hand hits, but trying anything to wear him down. Rory puts his arms up to block them all, and he does for the most part. She's on him so much and won't let him get up, that the referee has to start a count against her, and thus she backs off. She gives Rory a moment to get to his feet, sort of. He's basically on his knees when she runs over, kicking him in his chest. It sends an echo through the Hammerstein Ballroom, but it doesn't put Rory back down. He eats it, and jolts up a second later, catching Nathalie off guard with a spinning spinebuster. Nathalie hits the mat hard, rolling towards the turnbuckle. Rory meets her the rest of the way, grabbing her and nailing her with an exploder suplex into the corner. He attempts to capitalize on it by grabbing hold of Genevieve's right foot, but she uses her left one to kick him away. He takes a few steps backwards, allowing her to get to her feet, before rushing forward and catching him with a neckbreaker. She leaps into the air, hitting a standing elbow drop, before another pin attempt, but Rory kicks out again. She waits for Rory to stir and when he does, she goes for a bicycle kick but he dodges it and catches her with Southsider (Stiff Rolling Elbow). He then drops down and picks up the pin and the win. Derrick is standing in front of a Liberty Pro banner in a promo studio not at the arena. He’s holding his Liberty in the Bank Briefcase and has a big old smile on his face. He had mentioned how his career had been a rollercoaster, and last week was no different. He had beaten Tamsin Sixx in a match and taken the Liberty in the Bank briefcase from her as a joke, but now he’s the official holder and he couldn’t help but be excited.
Derrick: I know I didn’t truly win this briefcase last week. I know a lot of you look at what happened at 51 and the fallout, or seeing Tamsin quit Liberty due to career-frustration and leaving the briefcase in my hands, and instantly want to discredit me holding this briefcase. I know if Perry Wallace was watching right now, he’d never let me hear the end of it, but here’s the thing. I won my match. I beat Tamsin, and that’s why when she left, Liberty Pro management had no problem giving me the Liberty in the Bank briefcase.
He pauses and looks at the briefcase, almost as if he missed Tamsin and their fight forever feud.
Derrick: But for as much as I owe Tamsin or Jade Knight, I think the person I need to give the most credit to is Brianna Leigh Clark!
Derrick smiles at the camera, knowing that the comment seems pretty weird.
Derrick: You see, when Liberty Pro had it’s re-return, Brianna beat me in what many consider an upset. Sure I made some jokes, but BLC was the better wrestler that day and that loss created a fire in me to do more in this company.
He looks at the camera with a sense of enthusiasm. This isn’t the same bored Derrick that showed up for a paycheck three months ago. This is a renewed Derrick!
Derrick: Since losing to Bri, I’ve beaten a former Liberty Pro Champion, won my first title, and now I am YOUR LIBERTY IN THE BANK CHAMPION!!! Sure there are downs in this journey too, but at the end of the day if Bri hadn’t embarrassed me at the re-return show, I wouldn’t be here. I owe her a lot for bringing me out of this slump, and now it’s time for this whole thing to go full circle.
He does a little air circle with his finger as he winks at the camera.
Derrick: You see, my briefcase is on the line tonight, and I’m not giving it up. So tonight, I’m fully focused. That loss may not be in my canon, but my victory WILL be in my canon. Tonight I am going to right the wrong that created this new Derrick, and I am going to beat Brianna Leigh Clark here tonight.
Derrick literally waves off the notion that he’s being arrogant or cocky.
Derrick: And don't get me wrong. Bri is a baby hoss and deserves the chance to face me for this briefcase. BLC is a strong and fierce competitor, but just like Tamsin learned… at the end of the day… you don’t want to fight me forever, because it won’t end well for you…
He smiles and pats the briefcase.
Derrick: So I’ll see you tonight kid… I hope you’re ready, because I sure as hell am!

Brianna Leigh Clark vs Derrick La’Bell
Brianna Leigh Clark vs Derrick La’Bell
RECAP The two look at each other across the ring as the bell rings and are very hesitant. They inch towards each other, circling around, neither wanting to take a wrong step. They tie up and Brianna pushes Derrick into the corner, using the momentum to keep him pushed against the turnbuckle, although they remain in the tie up position. The referee starts a count against them and demands they separate. They do, and it starts again. Albeit, this time a bit faster, they circle each other and tie up again. This time it's La’Bell who gains momentum, pushing Brianna into the corner, though they remain entangled. Again, the referee starts a count, before demanding they separate yet again. It's easy to see at this point that the intensity between them is matched, and the bigger problem in this bout is going to be the referee. They tie up again, this time transitioning between positions and can't seem to get a grasp on one another. They shift back and forth a few times actually, before Derrick ends up behind Brianna. Leigh Clark shifts her wait, taking him down with a hip toss. Another fast tie up, this time Brianna ends up behind Derrick, and he backs her up into the corner. He uses multiple elbows to knock her down into the corner. He uses his boot to choke her against the post for a moment, before the referee taps him away. Brianna didn't particularly appreciate it, and rushes out of the corner, sweeping Derrick's legs. As he's getting up, she jumps on his back and scissors her legs around, locking in a dragon sleeper. Derrick falls backwards onto Brianna, but she holds it. They're too close to the ropes though, and Derrick reaches the bottom rope in a few seconds. They get to their feet, and Brianna rushes him again. Derrick sees it, lifting her up and dropping her into the turnbuckle. Brianna slides out of the ring for a moment, feeling her face and making sure she's okay. Her eyes flare as she slides back in, to multiple kicks and stomps from Derrick. She fights to her feet, clutching Derrick from behind and hitting an amazing looking german suplex. She gets Derrick to his feet, chopping his chest, followed by another but Derrick catches her hand, twisting it to switch her positions. He pushes her off the ropes, and slingshots into a snap suplex. Derrick grabs her into a headlock position, but Brianna drives her elbow into his gut. He lets go and she drops him with a hammerlock DDT. Once on her feet, she drives her knee into his side with a standing knee drop. She helps Derrick to his feet, but he fights back, pushing off of her. Derrick goes to hit Leigh Clark with a strike but Brianna sees it coming though, and takes his arm, getting him to the ground with an arm drag. But she keeps hold of his arm and lifts him up. She whips him to the ropes and goes for Punch into Row Z (Discus Punch) but La’Bell ducks it. Brianna charges Derrick again but he catches her and sets her up for Prodigy in Motion (Spirit Bomb/ Pop-Up Sit-Out Last Ride). He then gets the pin and the three count, holding onto his briefcase. He soon grabs it and escapes with it, for some reason believing he needs to be on the run at the moment, though Tamsin and her witches are long gone from Liberty Pro. The scene cuts to backstage of the Hammerstein Ballroom, where we see Liberty Pro superstar, Tyson Gregory getting warmed up for his match later in the night. He's already in his new Green Power Ranger themed ring gear as well as a sleeveless black hoodie with the Liberty Pro logo on the front of it. He smirks when he sees the camera, softly brushing off the front of the hoodie as he walks a few steps to the camera.
Tyson Gregory: You know, I could go on and on about this match tonight. Once again in the main event and once again set up beautifly to get another win against the Liberty Pro Champion. Now, I know and understand that Carmen is the number one contender and all that shit but Iḿ just going out there showing everyone what they already know and that is I am the top talent here in Liberty. If you pay attention to how Noir and Honey have been since this show was announced, they both get it. Both have had very little to say on the match and why wouldn't they? Why go into a match that you know you won't win being loud and boisterous? First of all you got Honey who despite being a former champion here just seems happy to actually have a match that people care about. Really the only thing she had to add was her being excited to team with Noir but let's be honest, Honey is normally excited to team with anyone.
He gives an almost sarcastic shrug of the shoulders before continuing on.
Tyson Gregory: Then with Noir, she was really hitting home that I wasn't going to use her as a stepping stone or something but in the end, I ran through her just like I said I would. I'm not taking anything away from Noir… Shes Liberty Pro Champion for a number of reasons. But just like I said last show, none of her past challengers have been the caliber that I am and that's not bragging, that's just the damn facts. I proved that fact when I pinned her in the last main event and I plan on proving it once again when I lead my team to a win. She's still focused on that shit with GEW and all the hyjinx that they are pulling on the show and it's going to be one of the reasons that someones going to catch her slipping and very quickly the stock in Helena Noir is going to drop out.
Again a shrug of the shoulders that is dripping with sarcasm.
Tyson Gregory: I'm going to be nice and not try to say something bad about my partner this week because we all know we won't hear the end of it. Even though I have already forgave her for giving me a nose bleed in our first blood match, she still seems mad at me for some reason. But the fact of the matter is Carmen and myself as a team are undefeated. I made sure of that when I was humble enough to stop the break up of her pin in our previous tag match. Honestly, I'm jealous of her right now. Noir and Honey didnt reply to my tweets about this match like they did for her. Granted, yes they were mocking Carmen for not talking at all recently and saying how she hates men and will be single forever but still, she had some friendly banter that I just didn't get this go around for Liberty Pro. I even went as far as saying this match would basically be a squash and I got nothing from them. Noir was too busy complaining again about GEW and Honey was in some conversation about rap lyrics or something? I'm not sure cause I wasn't high enough to understand Honey tweets. All I know is that I am the clear and obvious most talented wrestler in this match and that means with Carmen backing me up? This should be a nice walk in the park.
He gives a smirk and wink to the camera before turning and walking off down one of the hallways as the scene fades to black.

Helena Noir: So, what about the last show, huh? Wild night, don’t you agree?
The Liberty Champion Helena Noir was standing outside her locker room, already dressed to compete. From behind the closed door we could hear Honey humming a popular tune as she gets prepared for their tag match. Noir, instead, seemed to be in a whole opposite mood. The tone of her voice was low, her eyes casted down.
Helena Noir: Things tend to change so quickly around here, the most important, at least for what I’m concerned, is the list of competitors gunning for this.
She patted the title resting on her shoulder, the one she defended at Resurrection in that incredible fatal four-way match.
Helena Noir: Scratch Tamsin, add Derrick La’Bell right under Carmen Cambridge… And Tyson Gregory.
A light chuckle escaped her lips at the mention of the man who beat her in the last episode of Liberation. The same man she’s facing tonight again, this time in tag team action.
Helena Noir: You got one over me, Tyson. Congrats. No, I didn’t underestimate you, I wasn’t distracted, I didn’t have a bad sleep the night before, or whatever other excuse kids these days come up with when things don’t go their way. I don’t make excuses, I make mistakes.
She finally raised her eyes and looked into the camera.
Helena Noir: But I also learn from them. And rather quickly, I have to say. Nights like the last Liberation happen in anyone’s career. Nights when you simply lose, because your opponent fought better. There’s no shame in that, nor any need to downplay the adversary’s skill by making up excuses. You know where’s the catch, Ty? That as of now, we don’t know if you’re really better than me or you just were that specific night. Not until our next dance happens, then we’ll get a little bit closer to the truth.
A pause.
Helena Noir: Don’t worry, Carmen, I didn’t forget about you. How could I, when you constantly remind me that you’re coming for me on Social Media? You’re the number one contender, I get it. You earned that spot, with some controversy some might say but who am I to judge? Audentes Fortuna Adiuvat as the Latins would say. Fortune favors the bold. And we all know that, if anything else, bold is the word that best describes you. Or at least the kindest one.
It seemed by her tone that she wasn’t a fan of Cambridge.
Helena Noir: You don’t need to tell me that you’re coming for my title eight days a week. I already know you are, I’m already waiting. This is not GEW, we don’t get paid by tweet. And speaking of GEW…
The long sigh she let out echoed even louder in the silent hallway now that Honey had stopped her singing.
Helena Noir: You think that what you did was smart? Coming here, stealing one of our titles… We’ve all seen this movie before, we know how it ends. History is a great teacher for those willing to learn but I gave up hoping you’d learn anything at all long ago. I want to ask you something, Hardy and Cambell. So listen to me carefully.
Helena Noir: What makes you think that this time will be any different? Do you believe that because you didn’t come for me -and that was smart, I give you that- I’ll turn my head away and give you guys a free pass? Look at me.
The camera zoomed on a close up of her face.
Helena Noir: You came to my home, uninvited and took something from me. I breath Liberty, I bleed Liberty… I am Liberty. First run, second run, third run… Put whoever you want in that office, Helena Noir was always here. And she has one simple advice for you all.
Helena Noir: Be ready, soon you’ll have to answer for your actions.
The door behind her opened and Honey came skipping out of it.
Honey: Ready to go, Teamie?
Helena’s expression suddenly changed, a smile appearing on her face.
Helena Noir: Let’s do this.
And they left, as the scene cut elsewhere.

Carmen Cambridge & Tyson Gregory vs Helena Noir & Honey
RECAP This match starts out with some uneasy feelings, with Tyson and Carmen being very wary of each other considering their pasts. As for Helena and Honey? While they have feuded before, they’ve also teamed on a ton of occasions, so the advantage goes to Honey and the Liberty Champion. Even at the start of the match, it’s clear that Tyson Gregory and Carmen Cambridge don’t make a strong team, with Carmen refusing a tag on more than one occasion and leaving Tyson to face the fresh competition from the other side. The former heavyweight champion more than holds his own at the start of the match, despite getting beat down it’s obvious that Gregory has a fire in his belly, considering that he had just beaten Helena last week. Helena and Tyson collide hard in the middle of the ring and they put on quite the show. They trade a plethora of blows, strikes, holds and quick maneuvers. Neither of them are wanting to let up with each other, especially with Tyson picking up a win over Helena last week. Eventually, the two take each other out by clotheslining each other. A few moments pass when Helena and Tyson both tag in their partners, Carmen finally relenting and getting in on the action. Carmen charges Honey and takes her out with a clothesline. Honey tries to recover but Carmen nails her with a superkick. She pins but Honey kicks out after two. Carmen hits the top ropes and nails a frog splash and pins again but Honey kicks out after two again. Carmen controls the match for some time, keeping Honey down but Honey won’t stay down for a pin, she’s absolutely relentless. Carmen hits the top ropes and looks to go for The Finale but Honey rolls out of the way. Carmen stands, holding her ribs and Honey drops her with a snap DDT. Carmen gets up again and Honey drops her with a snap suplex now and the two are both down. The referee counts to six when Honey tags in Helena but Tyson Gregory isn’t there for Carmen to tag!!! Carmen looks shocked as she looks around, looking for Tyson. When Carmen gets up and turns around, she walks right into Fondu Au Noir (Cradle DDT into a Guillotine Choke)! Carmen is struggling in the hold and looks like she might tap but Tyson comes into the ring with a chair and he slams it down on Helena! The referee calls for the bell as Carmen struggles to her feet but Gregory slams the chair over her head as well. Honey, oh so innocent Honey, comes in to try and stop Tyson but he lays her out too! Tyson slams the chair over Cambridge one last time for good measure as Helena stirs. She goes to tackle Ty but he dodges it and slams the chair on her back and she crumbles to the ground. Tyson then slams the chair over and over again onto Helena until the Liberty Champion’s body is lifeless and the chair is bent in half like a pretzel! Tyson then drops the chair and screams out, ‘YOU KNOW WHAT!?’ He then starts to point to his temple a few times as he continues on. ‘MAYBE I AM INSANE!’ He laughs before picking up the Liberty Championship and raising it up in the air over Honey, the Liberty Champion and the #1 Contender. With that, the show goes off the air. WINNER Helena Noir & Honey METHOD DQ MATCH LENGTH 10:11 FINISHING MOVE N/A |
