BACKSTAGE
Backstage at Liberty Pro's event we find Honey Smith who's her cheerful self. Dressed with a rainbow fringe down both her sleeves of her ring gear, a strong blue top that accentuates her blonde hair. She has on matching boots but black trunks where several names are written around the waist line but obviously not too visible right now. Honey starts to take long, big slow steps as she tries to only step on the squares on the floor. Soon enough she hears the clang of metal and turns her head towards the gym room Liberty and GEW set up, and sees a very well built, tall, stacked guy curling some serious weights. Honey, being Honey, felt like it was good to meet the GEW people on this opportunity event.
Honey: Hello! I thought I'd say hi and stuff to you since you're, like, a GEW talent and I'm, like, a Liberty Pro talent.
Honey is talking to none other than West Long who sets down the barbells with a thud. He turns back to see this short blonde girl wondering in. The Warwolf readjusts his wrist bands first and gives Honey a nod.
West Long: That's right, yeah. You're in that battle royale a little later on.
While I'm working the opener on this PPV and setting the pace to follow, yeah.
Honey nods yes and notices West's worked and pumped arms before curling her own. She strikes a defiant little look on her face and, purely because West is a rather tall gentleman, speaks a little louder so she can hear him.
Honey: Yes! I bet you'll do really, really, REALLY well against your opponent in the Big Boy Battle. While I have a lot of people in my battle royale to, um, survive against and, like, throw out to be the Queen of New York. Like my Cousin Lexie is Queen and stuff!
Honey then takes a little pace back and forth in front of West while he probably hydrates in the background.
Honey: But there's a lot of people to, like, eliminate and stuff. There's Avery Smith, and Mighty Sparrow, and Nathalie Genevieve, and Cait Flanagan, and Donovan Rich, and-
West: and Cream, and Crimson, and Silver, and Rose, no need to go into the whole list, yeah.
Honey gets stopped before she would list the whole thing out. She chortles because she doesn't recognize those names in her match.
Honey: Okey Dokey! I think this will be the battle royale I'll win though!
Honey scrunches up her fingers into fists as the optimism just flares out of her like a glowing aura.
West Long: You've yet to win one?
Honey then shakes her head. She stays optimistic as she twirls on one foot to fully face West.
Honey: Not yet! But this is, like, a new chance, and a new dream! I just hope all my opponents have fun, fun, fun too! So we can have a good time after the match and, like, eat pizza backstage and watch the rest of the show as a good, friendly group.
West finally breaks and laughs at the idea, pure and innocent but damn unlikely.
West Long: If you manage to pull off the win AND have everyone chill like, then that I owe you a Unicorn.
Honey's eyes widen at the idea of owning a unicorn. They almost turn to shimmering stones as she spends a second of time just imagining that before she snaps back into reality and shakes off the imagination.
Honey: You have a deal!!!
West Long: But I'll check out who ends up winning that match, yeah. No doubt it'll put someone on the higher ups radar.
As for me, I've got Techniques. You faced him yet?
I've seen his past tapes; the win over Melanie, former champion in Liberty. That win over Brianna
Honey gasps while she interrupts a little, speaking much louder.
Honey: That's not Cousin Bree! It's, like, a different one!
West: No doubt. Still he's pulled off a win then. Guy can win the pressure fights when there's a go for glory opportunity in front of him.
And I feel for the guy in taking an L to Nat Genevieve, with the assist from the champ.
Honey: It's not right when people cheat. Everyone should fight fair when they wrestle in the square.
At this point West shrugs at the optimism on display by Liberty's little blonde welcome committee.
West Long: Sure. Won't always happen though. I'm just hoping the champ's gonna focus on his own fight against Jen. Great talent, but I was the one who walked out the winner when she and I faced off, yeah.
TJ Tech. That's yet to be written. I've done the prep, but I know he's going to be a hungry challenger for that title, but that knee though.
Honey: I saw Melanie working on it, like, as her strategy last match she was in and stuff!
West Long: Yeah.
She did. Maybe it has healed up; who knows. It's a target for sure when I go out there. Hell, I have a submission finisher that'll work over that knee. He looks like a smart guy who'll tap and live to fight another day.
Let's not forget that finisher. That knee strike-
Honey: I use that one too!! It's a pretty good move!
West Long: Until it's caught and you're powerbombed straight back down onto the mat.
Then it's a huge mistake made. Tonight's GEW vs LPW, and I'll make sure GEW starts off with a hard fought W comes home with us at the closing bell of match one.
West slowly packs up a few things into his gym bag. Meanwhile Honey narrows her eyes in thought, pinching her chin between her thumb and fingers too.
Honey: Hmmmm. Well if I win my match then both Liberty Pro and GEW have, like, a win and stuff. Even Stevens.
Honey nods and provokes a slight smirk from West; who also shakes his head.
West Long: Gotta admire your outlook on things. You're always able to put a positive spin on things.
West collects his jersey off the weights and tucks it under his arm.
West Long: Be sure to talk to TJ after our match. Guy's gonna need a pep talk to bounce back from losing to a guy like me.
See you around, Little Blue.
Honey doesn't get why he called her Blue until she looks down and sees her outfit and chortles with a throw back of her head.
Honey: Ohh!
Before she starts to head off and goes the opposite way. She pulls out of her trademark backpack a few welcome to Liberty Strawberry KitKats for all the new GEW people as the scene comes to a close.

The scene cuts backstage to Jade Night behind her desk with a smile on her face.
Jade Night: You know what? I wanted to liven up tonight. So the battle royal? Each person will come out after two minutes and you will be allowed to bring a weapon to the ring.
She nods.
Jade Night: Let’s see who can truly become the King or Queen of New York with all the odds stacked against you. Good luck out there.
Jade grins as she waves and the scene cuts away.

MATCH ONE: SINGLES
TJ Techniques vs West Long
TJ Techniques vs West Long
RECAP TJ and West were polar opposites in their in-ring style, which is what makes this such a compelling contest. Techniques knew he wasn't going to out muscle West, so he starts the match off by ducking a clothesline and smiling as the undefeated in GEW powerhouse grins back, knowing this will be fun. Long throws another clothesline attempt, and yet again TJ Techniques ducks it and finds one way to take his opponent down as he maneuvers him to the mat with a russian leg sweep and floats over for a cover but the ever powerful Long presses Techniques off at a two count by throwing him into the air. The entertaining Funky Technician lands on his feet which wows the crowd, but West wasn't here to be the bore on the opposite end of a spectacle and shows off his own athleticism by launching his body into the air and dropping The Meaning Dope with a flying shoulder tackle. The force of the big time move sends Techniques to the mat and then he rolls out of the ring! The fans were in awe that someone of West's size could move so quickly and with so much force. Long drops to his butt and slides out of the ring to give chase, but watch out! Techniques is back up! He runs and jumps, sliding back into the ring near the corner, only to keep the momentum going and kick West right in the chest as Techniques lands back on his feet on the floor as West crashes into the barricade. TJ grabs the wrist of his opponent and whips him forward and right into the ring post which stumbles Long again. This time, TJ grabs him by his trunks and slides him back into the ring. TJ hurries over and goes for a pinfall attempt, but it wasn't enough and West kicks out. TJ decides that the match can be won here and quickly scales to the top turnbuckle. He does a prayer motion before leaping off and going for his signature finishing move 'Know The Ledge' (Shooting Star Press) but West rolls out of the way as TJ crashes with enough impact to knock the wind out of him. West then lifts him from the canvas and drops him with a powerful powerbomb. He presses all of his weight on him as he pins him but TJ is able to get a shoulder up before the three count could be made. West was surprised but impressed as he says 'alright, lets see what else you've got'. West picks up the nearly defeated TJ and throws him into the corner and then charges, sandwiching him between himself and the corner! As TJ stumbles out of the corner, West lifts him up for a press and holds him there. Just when it looked like it was going to be over for TJ however, he begins to kick his legs, showing signs of life. The fans cheer him on as West can't hold him up anymore and TJ slides behind him! West turns around and is met with a jumping kick to his face! West stumbles...this was going to be it! TJ runs forward and leaps into the air but West pushes him even higher, but TJ lands on his feet facing the corner. He sighs, knowing that could have ended much worse but before he can think about anything else, the powerhouse surprises him and rolls him up! 1 2 ....... ...... 3! As soon as the three count was made, TJ kicks out, but he was JUST a second late and the bell rings, awarding the victory to West Long in surprising fashion. BACKSTAGE
Brianna Leigh Clark bursts out of a locker room all dressed up in new gear for tonight’s big joint presentation show, gear all new and sparkly and she grins, seeing the camera following her and moving quick enough the picture shakes a little as the operator tries to keep pace.
Brianna Clark: You know what I’ll never understand is a wrestler that whines about where their match is on the show. I got to see that from one of our opponents tonight, Leo Cook. Leo thinks he’s too good to be this ‘low’. Leo thinks he’s been disrespected, that he’s too big a playa in the world of wrestling or some junk. My dude, no. You don’t see Lizzie crying about it, or Terry - a real entrepreneur right there. Managed to maybe insult your partner by implying you’re going to win the match all on your own too.
Brianna holds up her hand and shakes her head, even as she walks rapidly towards the ringside area.
Brianna Clark: Don’t at this late date try and say you didn’t mean it that way, because I don’t think Terry’s buying what you’re selling. Does that mean you two can’t work together? Pssht. Everyone in this match wants to win, Leo - that doesn’t make you special or a good teammate for Terry. But hey, no worries. I’m sure Lizzie and I will make sure the fans are hype, even if you’re ‘too good’ to do it.
Coming up towards the gorilla position she grins brightly and throws up a couple fingers.
Brianna Clark: Peace though, see you and Terry in the ring. Going to hang out with him and watch the rest of the show after, he brought snacks. That’s mighty useful.

BACKSTAGE
Sitting alone backstage, Lizzie Jones seems to not be in her usual boisterous mood. Instead, her arms are folded and while she’s wearing her ring gear, she’s also got an oversized #PowertuffGirls hoodie on over it. Spotting the camera she slowly leans forward.
Lizzie: “So, what, you want a word from me?”
She huffs.
Lizzie: “What is there to say? I’ve got a match tonight, sure, but what’s it even mean? Representing Liberty? Squashing GEW? What a joke. March, 2018. Know what I did? I fought for Vengeance, I fought against Pride - Millennium as they are now. I fought against Chuck Matthews, sup bro in law? I fought against everyone that wanted to see Vengeance forced to close. And do you know what my reward was? Two months later I got injured, I got my career shelved, and Vengeance did what? Nothing. Didn’t punish Becky, did they? Didn’t help me pay for my bills, didn’t do a god DAMN fucking thing.”
She sits back again, laughing for a moment.
Lizzie: “So tell me this, when companies prove they don’t care about you, why should you care about them? I mean, it’s not like I wanted this crap. I came back to wrestling to rid us of Becky Balfour, and I did that. Now it’s about rebuilding myself, about forging ahead, and yet here I am in a meaningless match against one dude whose ego means he has to go through doorways side on, and another who is a greasy haired creep.”
A long, drawn out sigh comes next.
Lizzie: “Whatever, let’s just do this. Rah, opponent team bad, my team good, partner and I will win etc. There. You got your word. Now get lost.”
She gets up from the chair, groaning though, and heads off without watching to see if the camera follows. Then, and loudly, she slams the door as she walks away.

MATCH TWO: TAG
Brianna Leigh Clark & Lizzie Jones vs Terry Hawking & Leo Cook
Brianna Leigh Clark & Lizzie Jones vs Terry Hawking & Leo Cook
RECAP This match sees Brianna Leigh Clark and Lizzie Jones teaming up once again to represent Liberty against the team of Terry Hawking & Leo Cook, Despite their shortcomings on the last episode of Liberation, Lizzie and Brianna seem to work well together at the start of the match, making quick tags and making work of Terry who started things up for his team. While the quick tags were impressive Terry never lost his cool and eventually was able to work out of the damage being done by the two competitors early on in this contest. Having reversed Brianna’s attempt at a suplex, Terry rolled it over with a quick pin attempt and shifted things back in his favor. Working Brianna into the corner with a few knife-edge chops, he welcomed Leo Cook into the ring for the first time and the two worked together to show off some of GEW’s top notch in-ring status with a double elbow drop, easily guiding itself into Leo’s next move of a leg drop before Lifting Brianna up and then back down with a smooth snap suplex, before pinning her. She kicked out though the former army ranger was showing quite an in-ring prowess, but the American hero didn’t even looked remotely impressed with Brianna’s resilience and the rookie was met with a barrage of attacks that accompanied his tactical brawling status. The match would turn tides again when Terry welcomed himself back into the ring with a blind tag that obviously didn’t settle well with Leo, but eventually with the referees insistence, he was brought back into the ring. The Eagle as he referred to himself looked to take Brianna down with a running clothesline and instead was met with a counter and a desperate cradle suplex, that left the winded Brianna down on the mat and the obvious taker of the move down as well. Both worked to make their way to the corner Brianna was able to get there first and she stopped Terry from making it all the way, though Leo seemed to kind of enjoy his not quite making it a little more than he should (is that team spirit we smell?), but Lizzie makes Leo pay for that as she grabs hold of Terry and goes for a Springboard Bulldog, using Leo in as her second spring kicking him off the apron before spinning the move on Terry. Terry to his credit somehow kicks out from the maneuver, but Lizzie is on fire as she nails a barrage of offense on him. Finishing her sequence of forearms and elbows with her former finisher the Botox Breaker (Unprettier), this time the pin is stopped by Leo who has recovered and is welcomed back into the ring. The match weighs on when Terry counters one of Lizzie’s DDT variants with a super cool back body drop. By the time he got to his corner the Former Army Ranger in Leo was more than ready to take it to the Liberty Pro girls even if he’d made it adamantly clear he wasn’t here for GEW but instead for himself. He showed himself true, nailing Lizzie with a running boot to the face just as she’d recovered perhaps paying favor to her move from earlier. Leo offered another boot to Brianna knocking her off the canvas now and then turns his attention back to Lizzie. He’d looked to be going for his finisher called Tap or Break (Arm Bar) but as soon as he’d knelt down to lock it in Lizzie had rolled through and kneed him in the face. The American Hero didn’t look all that impressed and barraged her with a punch of his own to counteract her knee, and soon the two were up to their feet once more to trade blows. Lizzie was backed into her own corner finding it harder than expected to go toe to toe with Leo, but Brianna was able to sneak a tag in and climb the ropes as the referee spotted it, but Leo was a little more than occupied. Scouting her opportunity Lizzie would use all of her force to push Leo away just before Brianna took a Leap from the top rope nailing her finisher Incoming (Shotgun Double Knee) as she fell to the ground with him she rolled Leo’s legs and Lizzie made way to make sure Terry couldn’t make it into the ring as the Three count was made. WINNER Lizzie & Brianna METHOD METHOD MATCH LENGTH 10:10 FINISHING MOVE Incoming! (Shotgun double knee) POSTMATCH After the match Brianna and Lizzie had their hands raised, but Lizzie seemed to not be so impressed by the sneaky tag Brianna had made and Brianna clearly voices she just wanted to help win the match for their team. The two mouth at each other although their team work seemed to be pretty well with little tension between them up until this point however, the mood quickly escalated as Lizzie laid Brianna out with a swift punch. Accusingly, she tells her she hasn’t forgotten about her being the reason they lost the last Liberation and that nothing was going to stop her from getting her hands on the US Championship. Brianna laid out for several minutes as Lizzie left the ring and Brianna finally stirs as the referee attempts to help her up. |

Backstage, Josephine Morant is getting ready for her match in the locker room. She’s humming a cheery tune as she laces up her boots. Looking up, she gives the camera a friendly smile.
Joss Morant: Tonight, I’m participating in a huge battle royale against 12 others. It’s not my first time in such a match but it never fails to give me the butterflies, you know?
Josephine lets out a light chuckle as she straightens the strands of hair that fall from her high ponytail so that they frame her face neatly.
Joss Morant: But what’s special about this one is that not all of these guys are representing Liberty. Yep, those guys are the GEW folks that I’ve yet had the pleasure to meet. I’ve watched their matches though for tape study.
She brings up her signature notebook.
Joss Morant: And I’ve done my homework on each of them. I’ve learned what makes them tick and what I can do to gain the upper hand. It’s gonna be tough but I’m ready to face them.
She hugs the notebook tightly to her chest.
Joss Morant: Tonight won’t just be for me, it’s also for my brother Dex. Despite the brutal match, he’s recovering well now. Sucks that he won’t be able to take part in this monumental event tonight. But don’t worry, bro, I’ll do my best! Tonight is for the Morants!
With a grin, she keeps her notebook well inside her bag before leaving the locker room.

RECORDED EARLIER
The Lair.
Famed gym right here in the heart of New York City, coming from the ashes of the Slaughterhouse gyms. Famous boxers, mma fighters, and even over zealous glamour models come from far and wide to be one of the Lair’s lions. If you were to walk into this gym on any given day, you wouldn’t have to look hard to find Liberty in the Bank Champion, Derrick La’Bell. Whether he was sparring with best friend, Sha Bishop, or teaching children how to beat up other children, he was always in there finding to better himself as a competitor.
Sadly, he wasn’t doing either of these things. This time around, he was in “personnel only” back office, which he convinced Sha to give the wrestlers of the gym to cut promos after workouts. Derrick had just finished sparring and he was really feeling himself, so he had grabbed his briefcase and bee-lined into the promo-office. He turned the camera on with a big smile and stated talking.
Derrick: You know, since trying to make an honest run in this wrestling, I’ve learned a lot of names in this industry. Now, my opponent this week from GEW… he’s not one of those people.
Derrick laughs awkwardly as he towels some extra sweat off his face.
Derrick: Junior Hardy is a name that sounds familiar, I’m sure he’s done some great stuff in this industry, but here’s the thing. Junior is coming in repping the other company. Junior is coming into our house, whether GEW is based in New York or not, and stepping into our ring, shared or not, and he’s trying to beat me?
Derrick kisses his teeth and let’s out a sigh.
Derrick: We’re I’m from if you come repping the other guys, you don’t get to walk out alive, but here Junior is. He’s walking into this match, and he’s trying to smack Liberty Pro in mouth. You KNOW I can’t allow such a thing.
Derrick smacks his hands together and looks at his briefcase.
Derrick: You see that briefcase, Junior? That case is a golden ticket to my future in this company. It ain’t on the line, but the prestige of this briefcase is on the line, same with the prestige of this company. Those two things are just as important as the opportunity in the briefcase itself, and I will be DAMNED if you try to sully either of those.
Laughing a bit as he thinks about being a representative for Liberty Pro.
Derrick: I don’t know much about you, Junior. Google didn’t show me a lot, but my guy X gave me some tapes, and I’ve been training a lot for this match. I know all about your obsession with your Legacy and your coveted Legacy Breaker, and I promise that you will not even get a chance to lift my big ass up for it. I am going to break you down, keep you on the ground where I can hit you with some hellbows and make sure you can’t do much else other than eat punches.
Slight pause
Derrick: Most importantly, I’m going to do what I am best at, and that’s win. I’m going to beat you, get the dub for my family here at Liberty Pro, and I’m going to keep building the prestige of my Liberty in the Bank Championship before I cash it in, because that’s what I do best… I hope your legacy can take it, Hardy…
A knock can be heard on the door of the makeshift promo studio as Derrick looks back and smiles. He yells something that isn’t picked up by the camera, and we see someone behind him wave him on to leave. He smiles at the camera one last time.
Derrick: Good luck tonight, everyone, and good luck to Junior Hardy too. I’m sure tonight is going to be a lot of fun.
He then reaches over and turns off the camera.

MATCH THREE: SINGLES
Derrick La’Bell vs Junior Hardy
Derrick La’Bell vs Junior Hardy
RECAP Junior Hardy knew the best way for him to come out on top in this one was going to be to tire out Derrick or to out wrestle him, and Hardy started his gameplan early by going for the legs of the larger opponent but Derrick is able to successfully fight off the attempted takedown, which may have been a mistake for Hardy to try to take down an MMA star. La'Bell lifts his free leg and stomps at the back of Junior Hardy, who immediately lets go of the leg and tries to retreat, but at this point it was too late. La'Bell lifts Hardy from the canvas and spins him back down, dropping him aggressively with the hard slam. Junior knew he was in trouble and crawls towards the ropes as Derrick grabs at an ankle, Junior lunges forward and grabs the bottom rope as the referee pulls Derrick away. Junior hops to his feet, holding his back, but the man who stole the Liberty Anarchy Championship a few shows back had other plans as he jumps on the back of Derrick to attempt a choke hold from behind but Derrick slings Junior over his shoulder and to the canvas again quickly, causing Junior to shout out in pain as he clutches his lower back. Derrick wastes no time in mounting Hardy now as he begins to rain down Hellbows to the multi-generational athlete. Junior has no choice but to cover up and do his best to absorb the least amount of damage possible as the referee finally pulls Derrick from Junior. The Eastside Beast growls out as the fans cheer, but the blows did their damage and Junior again retreats towards the corner. Derrick could feel the momentum on his side as he stalks Hardy down and lifts him up in the corner but Junior was no stranger to wrestling bigger opponents and he uses his speed to quickly slide under the legs of the bigger man. He then grabs both ankles and trips La'Bell up, causing him to crash and hit his face against the middle turnbuckle. Junior stands back up and backs across the length of the ring before running full speed and leaping into the air, turning his body and crashing his backside against the back of the head of La'Bell! The fans boo as Junior smirks and drags Derrick out of the corner. From there, Hardy is able to lock in a crossface submission on the Beast, but he refuses to submit, shouting out in defiance that he doesn't quit. Hardy keeps the hold on for another thirty seconds which does some more damage and wears down the big man just a bit more. Junior picks La'Bell up and plants him down quickly with a snap suplex that ends with a float over pin attempt but La'Bell powers out again. Junior wasn't finished however, and pulls Derrick to his feet again and this time hits a bridging suplex with a pin and again La'Bell kicks out. Hardy was beginning to wonder what he could do to finish off his opponent, and as he thinks, this gives Derrick valuable time to recover. Hardy finds La'Bell making it back to his feet and grabs him again, this time going for a ddt but Derrick grips around Hardy's waist and charges into the corner, knocking the breath out of Junior. He then quickly hoists Hardy up and over his back! The fans were on their feet now for The Eastside Beast, but Derrick was visibly tired, taking in deep breaths. Hardy makes it to his feet and is mowed down by a clothesline, and then a second one, Junior gets back up and is dropped for a third in a row! Derrick lets out a howling scream, and grabs Junior as he stands. He hits a big time vertical suplex and then looks down at Junior once more. He motions for Junior to get up, but Hardy either wasn't in a rush, or physically wasn't able to right away due to the pain he was in. This causes Derrick to bend down to pick Junior up, but the sneaky GEW star grabs him in a cradle pin and almost steals the match, but Derrick just kicks out. Junior is the first to his feet this time, clearly being more conditioned to go longer distance than Derrick and as Derrick gets up he's kicked in the stomach. Junior knew that time was of the essence as he quickly positions him perfectly for his patented match ender...The Legacy Breaker! It connects and Junior makes the cover and picks up the three count and a victory for GEW. WINNER Junior Hardy METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 19:00 FINISHING MOVE The Legacy Breaker |
BACKSTAGE
Cait Flanagan lounges on a couch in her dressing room, her feet kicked up on one arm and her head resting on the other. She’s dressed in her ring gear and is touching up her manicure, seeming more interested in her nails than in the camera invading her space. The cameraman coughs politely, and Cait fixes him with a cold gaze.
CAIT: I’ll speak when I’m good and ready to, thank you.
Rolling her eyes and muttering something about rude help, Cait holds one hand up to the light to make sure she hasn’t missed a spot or smudged anything. After a few moments, she switches to the other hand, then blows on them lightly to help the sparkly green polish dry.
CAIT: There. Now I’m ready. Tonight’s card is all about Liberty Pro versus GEW, although I can’t quite gather why I’m supposed to care. Because several people work in both, and both happen to be based out of New York City? Maybe?
Shrugging her shoulders, Cait sits up gingerly and snaps for someone’s attention. One of the tech crew comes out and moves a small table with a portable nail dryer on it closer to Cait, so that she can set her hands inside and make sure her manicure is ready to go for later.
CAIT: This is the part where I’m supposed to say something about Liberty being the best, but I’m not terribly concerned with that either. I’m in a battle royale tonight, and as always, my concern is first and foremost with myself and increasing my odds of winning. My secondary concern is going to be making sure Bianca Page does not win. Because for someone who calls herself “classy”, she’s engaging in the same kind of tactics that I use, and we all know that she’s determined that I am not “classy” - whatever that means.
CAIT: I’m getting very tired of her thinking that she can interfere in my business and get away with it. Thanks to her interference, I now have Dollar Store Kanye breathing down my neck, insisting that I admit his value, when apparently he’s not even valued enough to warrant a spot on the card tonight. So I think between myself and Brady Vega, Liberty Pro knows which one of us brings in money and which of us is all flash.
Taking her hands out of the dryer, Cait inspects her nails once more, frowns, and then puts them back in.
CAIT: I don’t care what it is - Queen of New York, Liberty in the Bank, rearranging Bianca Page’s horse face into something more aesthetically pleasing, breaking Brady Vega’s phone so he’ll stop tweeting me - my goal is always the same. I play to win.
CAIT: The difference between me and everyone else though? I’m not pretending that I’m doing this for any other reason. You can tell me you’re doing it for Liberty, or for New York, or your kids, or your father’s brother’s wife’s cousin’s former roommate, I don’t care. Whatever reason you think you’re doing it for? You’re all the same as me in the end, my darlings. I’m just honest about it, that’s all.
This time, as Cait takes her hands out of the dryer, she appears satisfied and shuts off the machine. She gets up off the couch and looks into the camera, tossing her braided red hair over her shoulder.
CAIT: You’re dismissed, thank you.
With that, she shoves the camera aside and walks out as we go elsewhere.

??: December 12th, 2018. I get booked in a small company out in Kentucky cuz they had an extra shot in an over-the-top battle royale. February 17th, 2019. I wrestled in an over-the-top battle royale for small place based in Manchester ya know. Loved to have me the owner said, over-the-top battle royale he tell me, ya know. Not only was I first eliminated, but the airport lost my luggage and my Uber driver forget to pick me up. I used to wrestle for a company based in the south called YoungBloods. Ya wan’ hear what happen then? Guess. Go ‘head and guess. Over-the-top battle royale and some stupidness happen and gone over the top I was, quick as ever. Quick. AS. Ever..And ey? Y’all ent believe me!? WELL I HAVE THE VIDEOS AND PICTURES!
Backstage at the Garden, Liberty Pro’s resident Master of the Kick, Mighty Sparrow is standing by in X-Men inspired ring-gear, specifically Gambit. Black wrestling tights, blue kick pads with scarlet flaming aces to the hue of Remy Lebeau’s chest armor. Sparrow begins walking back and forth, in shot and out of shot as he points to a nearby tablet screen that has been made to prop up. The video playing is a young version of the wrestler, clad in a wrestling mask as a female wrestler grabs him and launches him up over the ropes. Curiously, a Wilheim stock scream has been dubbed over the video as Sparrow flies. Cut to another video clip of Sparrow being eliminated, this time the trademark ‘Yaaa-hoo-hoo-hoo-hooie’ scream often heard from Goofy of Disney fame. At one point one of the early clips sees Sparrow eliminated early, and so he drops on his knees and shakes his fists at the ceiling. This time, the infamous Darth Vader ‘NNNOOOOOOO!’ has been dubbed over him.
Sparrow clears his throat and points at the tablet.
Sparrow: Not only did I lose righ’ there but I just checked my phone and found out m’main girl Gwen couldn’t make it that weekend cuz she and she Unks...Uncle, had a tag match. It’s bad news when I does have to be in these kinda matches, you see. BAD. NEWS. Ya see wha it is I sayin’ brethren? Bad news. Bad. News. So...The only conclusion I can draw to handle this kinda thing with so much talent in one ring?
Sparrow rummages down, before lifting up a shirt that reads very plainly ‘#NotoriousKICKEverybody’. Simple. To the point. Red lettering, clear and concise.
Sparrow: Everyone. Everyone can get it here. Nathalie Genevieve been havin’ tough times coutin’ loss after loss? As she man say, everyone has them and I sure she ain’t ‘bout to have ‘em for long.. Kickin’ she anyway. Donavan wan’ dedicate this to his sweet baby girl. Ey, all respect to ya partner. Take a big man to be a great father and I see that. I kickin’ ya anyway! Kickin’ he anyway. RINGSIDE
“No End in Sight” by Killswitch Engage plays, and out comes Melissa Reeves. The former Liberty Champion hasn’t been seen in a Liberty ring since 2018, but that doesn’t stop her getting her fair share of cheers.
She rolls into the ring and pumps the fans up a bit, before she is handed a microphone and the music dies down.
Melissa: “Wow, New York, it’s been a while. I know that...officially, anyway, I’m out here to represent the other guys, but Liberty Pro still means a lot to me. It’s the place I had my most successful spell in recent times, where I held the top title against ten defences and took on any challenges that came my way. I look around and I see the same familiar Liberty in place, and a totally different beast in others.”
Reeves looks around for a moment, just soaking up the moment.
Melissa: “But this isn’t about reminiscing. This is about business and tonight’s business is battling Kaia Grainger.”
That name gets cheers.
Melissa: “We’re not strangers, she and I, but this is our first time getting in the ring together. I know that she’s one of the best Liberty has to offer, her success speaks for itself. But this is going to be Melissa Reeves in a Liberty ring, the very ground where I took on so many greats - and where I defeated them. To some this GEW thing, it’s an invasion, but for me this is a return home.”
She gives a warm smile, she’s enjoying the moment.
Melissa: “A true test, even if we’re way too early in the night. The former champion, me, against one of Liberty’s best now. Let’s see which of us will walk away with the victory. But not for GEW, not for Liberty and not for this interpromotional rivalry. Na...let’s do it for the fans. What do you say, Kaia?”
Melissa drops the mic, still smiling, and poses a little for the fans before she heads to the back.

MATCH FOUR: GEW & Liberty Pro King (or Queen) of New York Battle Royale
Julio Banks vs “Classy” Bianca Page vs Nathalie Genevieve vs Cait Flanagan vs AJ Jenkyns vs Joss Morant vs Avery Smith vs Donovan Rich vs Rick Benson vs Mighty Sparrow vs Morgan Payne vs Kasey Kash vs Honey
Julio Banks vs “Classy” Bianca Page vs Nathalie Genevieve vs Cait Flanagan vs AJ Jenkyns vs Joss Morant vs Avery Smith vs Donovan Rich vs Rick Benson vs Mighty Sparrow vs Morgan Payne vs Kasey Kash vs Honey
RECAP Cait Flanagan walks down to the ring carrying a baseball ball wrapped in barbedwire and she looks ready to use it. Julio Banks is second out, carrying a chair. The bell rings and Julio drops the chair, finding he was much faster without it, especially since Cait began swinging wildly with her bat. She managed to snag him in the side at one point, but he hit a dropkick to her knees after, causing her to drop it. Bianca Page slides into the ring, and takes Julio out with a knee trembler, but Cait takes him into the ropes with a knee. She tries lifting him over, but he battles back, kicking her in the midsection and then spinning into a neckbreaker. He's taken down by a hard right from Julio, followed by a forearm. He, too, tries to lift Page over the top. A minute in and Donovan Rich is the next one out of the gate. He walks out holding a neon green kendo stick, wrapped in barbed wire. He springs to the ring, tossing the kendo stick into the ring, before sliding in. Picking it up, he smacks it across Julio's back, which brings him down. Another WHACK to his back while he's on the floor. Cait takes him down from behind with a russian legsweep. Next up is Rick Benson and he runs down into the ring and he begins to take everyone out. He’s a ball of energy, avoiding weapon shots as he puts anyone in his way onto the ground. Nathalie Genevieve is the next one out, who slides in and starts throwing rights with Bianca Page. Rick Benson charges at them but they both duck and throw him over and he’s the first eliminated. Eliminated: Rick Benson They then keep on battling in the corner, where Nathalie uses an array of kicks to keep him there. She springboards up and knees him in the chin. Cait and Donovan roll around on the ground, trying to take control, which Donovan seems to be making a game of. Cait fights between laughing, and wanting to tear his throat out. This was a match, after all. Mighty Sparrow runs out to the ring holding another trusty chair and slides in. He takes a moment, trying to decide who would be the best option to go for, but Julio Banks, still feeling the effects of the barbed wire, trips him down with a leg sweep. The chair goes flying under one of the turnbuckle posts. By this time, Bianca Page has switched positions with Nathalie, now pummeling her in the corner. Donovan and Cait are now in the opposite corner. Donovan scoop slams Nat down to the mat, and climbs up to the second rope. Thinking fast, Cait grabs that trusty barbedwire baseball bat, and cracks Donovan to the side of the head. He falls, tumbling to the ground below. Eliminated: Donovan Rich As AJ gets into the ring, he immediately strikes Bianca Page in the head. She falls to the canvas, and then uses the ropes to stand up. Page is leaning a little too far into the ropes, so much so that AJ cracks her with the lead pipe like a follow-through baseball swing that sends Page over. Eliminated: Bianca Page Joss Morant is the next person out, holding a red Nightfall chair which she promptly flattens Cait Flanagan with. Julio spears her to the floor just after and the two brawl. Mighty has AJ in a headlock, following up with a huge backdrop. He tries to backdrop AJ out of the match completely, but AJ uses the ropes to slingshot himself. He still eats a backdrop, but a backdrop in the ring rather than out. Cait rolls to the side, trying to regain herself and check her next target. The minutes seem to be coming faster and faster now, as yet again, the buzzer goes off. Avery Smith hops out from behind the black curtain, carrying a chain. She goes to town on everyone in sight. Nathalie Genevieve, ding. AJ Jenkyns, ding. Mighty Sparrow, ding. She’s taken out from below with a tackle from Joss Morant, trying to get the chain out of her hands. They wrestle for it, and anyone left looks on, most trying to jump on Smith. From the huddle, they all separate into different pairs, and it's all out war. Kasey Kash steps out, and he looks mighty mean. His weapon of choice is brass knuckles. He slides in and Julio Banks is standing directly to his left. He runs at him, using those brass knuckles on his hand, Kash rocks Julio with a european uppercut, sending him up and over. Eliminated: Julio Banks Cait Flanagan runs towards him, and receives a hard right hand to the gut with the brass knuckles hand. He grabs her around the neck with both hands, dragging her over to the ropes and pressing her body against it, trying to get her over. He reels his arm back, using that chain fist again to complete into a lariat, sending Cait over, as well. Eliminated: Cait Flanagan Honey's music hits, and she wastes no time at all in running to the ring. She's carrying an entire silver trash can, but she doesn't plan on using it. She tosses it over the ropes, miraculously soaring through the air and hitting nobody as it lands in the ring. Unafraid, she runs right towards Kasey, catching him with a head scissors, and applying an armbar. She knew it wouldn't eliminate him just yet, but she needed to tame the beast. Nathalie was trying her best to lift Avery above the top rope, though Smith was doing a great job of fending her off. Mighty was hitting Joss with a spinebuster down to the canvas, continuing his assault, before being punted in the face by AJ. The buzzer sounds and the last entrant, Morgan Payne jets to the ring, holding a damn lighttube. She doesn't slid in with it, but instead sets it in the corner for later use. She slides in the ring, taking Nathalie and sliding her right into the chair in the bottom corner, the one Mighty had dropped there earlier. This allows Avery to pick up a kendo stick and clobber AJ over the head with it, sending him right over the top rope. Eliminated: AJ Jenkyns Kasey has been slipping away from Honey for quite some time now, and as he does, she kicks her leg up, kicking him in the face and re-positioning herself. She twists his arm into a wrist-lock, before grabbing his face into a single-knee facebreaker. Joss has taken time out to check on Nathalie, who had been thrown into the chair face first. Morgan is using the kendo stick from earlier to keep Mighty in the corner, until he's hit from behind with a chair by Avery. She uses the chair, pressed against both Morgan and Mighty, lodging it so that both competitors are in the corner, the kendo stick between them and then Avery jumps! And splashes into the corner, which hurts herself a bit with the chair, but sandwiches the chair, the barbed wire kendo stick, and the two competitors in the corner. Kasey Kash has become angry, being handled by Honey using submission maneuvers and evasive techniques. She comes at him with a heel kick, which he ducks, he uses his steel chain-wrapped hand to hit her in the back of the head. Honey stumbles forward, which allows Kasey to pick her up into a spinning spinebuster - to the outside of the ring. Honey drops all the way to the ground below, hitting the apron with a sickening thud on the way down. Eliminated: Honey Kasey turns around, with a sick smile on his face. When he turns he gets a flying forearm from Nathalie, followed by a kick to the chest from Joss, and Nathalie elbows him just after to get him against the ropes. Nathalie then hits a shining wizard on Kash. The force is able to send Kasey over the top rope, and almost sends Joss over. She goes over the top but lands on the apron. Eliminated: Kasey Kash Morgan, moving away from the duo of Mighty and Avery, picks up the trash can tossed in by Honey earlier. As Joss is getting to her feet, he smashes it across her head. Joss falls off the apron and to the ground below. Eliminated: Joss Morant Nathalie then grabs Morgan's head, giving her a snapmare down to the mat. She looks to connect with a running senton but Morgan moves out of the way. She spins around to eat an elbow from Morgan before she takes her out with a snap DDT. Morgan attempts to throw Natahlie over the top but Nathalie fights back, flipping over and landing on the apron instead. She gives Morgan a kick from the apron, but Payne follows it up with a short lariat that sends her below. Eliminated: Nathalie Genevieve Morgan turns back around, and eats a superkick from Mighty Sparrow, which floors her. Avery is also still in the match, who catches Mighty from behind into a rolling german suplex. Mighty uses the turnbuckle post to help himself to his feet. Once he's up, Avery runs across the ring, but Mighty lifts her up and over. Smith doesn't fall though, she just lands on the deadly apron, where so many have perished before. Mighty grabs hold of her head, giving her a few right hands before stepping back. He gains a bit of a run, and smacks his feet right into Avery's face. Avery instantly falls from the apron. Eliminated: Avery Smith The last two standing, Mighty Sparrow and Morgan Payne stare at each other from across the ring. The chants and cheers from the Liberty & GEW crowd get louder and louder, before Morgan goes on the attack. Payne clotheslines Mighty down to the canvas, but he uses every bit of energy he has to kip up, and catch Morgan as she comes at him with another closeline. He takes Morgan down to the ring with a reverse STO, before rolling out of the way. As they both stand up again, they stare at each other again. CRACK! The light tube that Morgan herself brought to the ring, is shattered across her skull. Donovan Rich, back into the ring, picks Morgan up and tosses her over the top rope. He looks to Mighty, and spits in his general direction, before sliding out of the ring. He walks backwards up the ramp, giving the impression that he's throwing a total fit, more than likely from being one of the first eliminated. However, what's fair is fair, the rules only stated the participants are eliminated by being thrown over the top rope, and with that, Morgan is eliminated. Eliminated: Morgan Payne The bell is sounded, and Mighty Sparrow looks out at the crowd, unsure of how to feel about the win. He had fought hard, actually lasted the longest in the ring, but he was still slightly confused as his hand was raised. His feelings about it fade into positive ones as he hears the chants and cheers from the crowd as it’s announced that Mighty Sparrow is officially the King of New York! A smile runs across his face as he raises his hand in the air now and the fans chant him on. WINNER Mighty Sparrow METHOD Elimination MATCH LENGTH 41:12 FINISHING MOVE N/A |
PREVIOUSLY RECORDED
In a pre-recorded piece we find Liberty’s own Kaia Grainger starring in a series of video vignettes, a few clips from matches that she’d partaken in over the last few months including the one where she won her US Championship, training sessions, and even some clips of her work for Danger & Play. All collectively ending with a sudden appearance of the Champ herself standing in front of a plain background, her US championship resting easily on her shoulder as she pats it slowly.
Kaia Grainger: “Good evening all you Kings and Queens, and what a special night this is, none other than the crossbrand super show known as the Kings And Queens of New York.”
A loud roar can be heard from those who are watching whether virtually or in the limited attendance as she smiles broadly to the pop for the event.
Kaia Grainger: “I would just like to say that I called this a while back when I mentioned a business partnership of sorts. You could just say this boss lady knows all about business dealings.”
That smile spread even slightly further, before she pulls it in and begins to speak again.
Kaia Grainger: “Its been quite a while since I won the Liberty US Championship, I admit its been rather disappointing that I haven’t been able to defend my title just yet, especially when such an event like this comes up, but its understandable isn’t it? A GEW vs Liberty event of course we’d need a GEW Wrestler to take me on and boy did Jade deliver on that promise.”
Pausing she seems to be gathering her thoughts before glancing back towards the screen and smiles again.
Kaia Grainger: “Melissa Reeves is no joke, slouch, or any other word you might use to describe a slacker. Not only a former Liberty Champion she’s also been the Millennium Champion, Cloud Gate Champion, and the list goes on. You hear the name Melissa Reeves and Champion seems to be attached to it in some way, shape, or form consistently. That’s a lot to take on when it comes to a Rookie whose career only began a few months ago and normally if that rookie weren’t me I’d say it might be too much of a challenge.”
She laughed at her own notion.
Kaia Grainger: “Yet, I haven’t backed down from a challenge at all since coming to Liberty Pro, and I’m certainly not going to now. I’ve faced some of the best Liberty has to offer save for Helena Noir herself. I was in the ring with twenty-nine of Liberty’s best and came up just short of the prize. After that, I faced a multitude of opponents from Scotty Latimer to Tyson Gregory and Brien Storm. Some of those weren’t won in the best light, but that’s only to prove my point that despite the challenge seeming greater than what most might consider my abilities, I’ve risen and overcome that. Yet some would say Melissa is the pinnacle of all those challenges I’ve come to face so far and . . . you’d probably be right.”
She stopped before patting her title.
Kaia Grainger: “But this belt right here has already proven that I’ve got what it takes to rise to a challenge. Two matches in one night and did it with relative ease. The logical next step is to continue to prove myself against those who have already done so. To go toe-to-toe with some of the greatest competitors the wrestling world has ever seen and that naturally leads me to this. Another proving ground for the Lightbringer to show you that everything you thought you’d known about her up until now was merely you being blinded by a light.”
She giggled at that before shifting her belt from one shoulder to the other.
Kaia Grainger: “I will always respect the hell out of Melissa Reeves regardless of the outcome, but I do certainly crave the challenges as they come and tonight I aim to shine my brightest light yet. Stay tuned.”
She winked as the screen filtered into a bright ambient hue of white before fizzling out.

The scene cuts backstage to Kace Matthews, who is prepping for his big match. He has a bag in hand and he pulls a wig on it and puts it on. It’s a blue wig, and he’s clearly mocking Carmen.
Kace Matthews: Yo! It’s gucci Kace Matthews! Are ya’ll ready for me to show ya’ll why I’m the gucci mang!?
He laughs before throwing the wig off and rolling his eyes.
Kace Matthews: Jokes aside, I know Carmen is tough but tonight? I have to prove that I’m still one of the best that GEW has to offer. That I’m the cream of the crop! That I’m the future of the Matthews name but also… That I can make my own legacy.
He nods confidently.
Kace Matthews: I’ll do just that tonight. Carmen? You don’t stand a chance against me. I’m going to use every trick in the book to take you down. Got that? Good!
Kace walks away and the scene cuts out.

MATCH FIVE: SINGLES
Kaia Grainger vs Melissa Reeves
Kaia Grainger vs Melissa Reeves
RECAP As the bell rings, Melissa Reeves and Kaia Grainger nod to each other out of mutual respect and then the two begin to circle around, each almost daring the other to make the first move. Kaia decides to do just that, but Melissa held the experience advantage and this played into her hand perfectly as Kaia tried to tie up but Melissa slipped away and transitioned to the back of Grainger and wrapped her arms tightly around the fan favorite before lifting her up and dropping her on her chest. Melissa expertly moves towards the head of Kaia who was still on the mat and wraps her arms around her, looking to wear down the more inexperienced opponent and squeeze the fight out of her slowly. Kaia refuses to submit and Melissa knows there's no point in keeping the hold on for much longer and finally releases it. Kaia was having a hard time finding her confidence against someone as experienced as Melissa, and it shows big time as she tries to trip Melissa who was picking her up, but moved much too slowly, giving Melissa a read on it. The veteran steps on the fingers of Grainger forcing her to give a blood curdling scream before Reeves pulls her boot away and picks up Kaia and hits a back suplex that sends a loud echo throughout the venue as Kaia hits the mat. Reeves goes for a pin attempt this time but only picks up a two count. Melissa keeps her cool and keeps her focus on her opponent, but this time Kaia was ready to show that she wasn't going down so easily as she finally successfully trips up Melissa who stumbles forward. Kaia gets up and hits her with a dropkick to the back that sends Reeves tumbling between the middle and top rope and out of the ring! Reeves stands up promptly, knowing a count out loss would crush her more than almost anything but as she stands up, Kaia was already prepping for what was next and she runs towards the ropes and leaps over them, flipping in mid air and landing directly on the chest of Melissa Reeves at ringside as the fans begin to cheer for the high risk move that paid off for Grainger. Kaia slides back into the ring and Melissa staggers to her feet and just beats the ten count, sliding back into the ring at nine. Kaia sees how exhausted Melisa looks and drops down and goes for a cover but only picks up a two count, giving Melissa a few extra seconds to recover. Just as Kaia thinks the ball is totally in her court now, she gets ahead of herself as she attempts a suplex but the move was blocked and reversed as Melissa hits a suplex on Kaia now. Melissa decides to keep a hold of her opponent, hitting a second suplex but wait! That isn't enough. She continues holding on and stands up and hits a third consecutive suplex, this one with more impact than the other two. Melissa then works over her opponent with a crab submission, but Kaia is able to get to the ropes. With Melissa controlling the pace of the match nearly the entire way through, Kaia knew she had to do something. She attempts The Light but Melissa had it scouted. Reeves, however, doesn't waste any time to taunt or mock her opponent, knowing anything can happen and as she picks Kaia up...it does happen! Kaia pushes Melissa back and hits STAR SHINE! She makes the cover, pulling hard up on the leg as the referee makes the count to three and gives Kaia the upset victory! BACKSTAGE
All at once the public became agitated; a whisper began in a thousand voices: "War Games! Between Liberty & GEW!"
A smile came on their faces, they gazed like sheep at their phones and scrambled for any available tickets.
Upon hearing of the coming clash between the favourites of the New York public, the city responded with cultish fervour.
The very expensive bets parading around the place, and the record viewership for tonight spoke volumes.
And who would not have been excited when the whole town came to Madison Square Garden?’
At this moment, one who needs no introduction, the shining Precious Pepper Vain.
Living up to her title's name, the Liberty Pro Anarchy champion is captain of Team GEW.
What a curious journey that had been.
The GEW upper brass watch Liberty like vultures circling a sick buffalo, and they noticed PPV. And they took a chance on her.
Though highly rated, she was not, in most people's eyes, the wrestler with the ability to elevate a new federation to the highest level.
And clearly the only parties to believe that were herself and Maybelline Moss.
But not only did she have the audacity to choose a destination as if she were the star who can change things, she barked about it.
She was vocal about the disrespect of people treating her like she's not that bitch.
Now she was GEW's captain.
Wrestling loves a superstar.
In the eyes of the 'what have you done for me lately' public, PPV’s rise to double champion status squarely put even more pressure on her to lead her side to victory for GEW as their captain.
But that is far from her mind right now.
Crouching in her locker room, Precious has on a pair of goggles and yellow Marigold cleaning gloves as she vigorously scrubs her Anarchy title.
At her side is industrial grade disinfectant, and a large bucket.
The water within appears hot enough to strip the skin off an elephant.
Looking at the title strap as if it were coated in toxic waste, Precious dips the title in the water and lets it soak.
After a quick knock, in strides Dante Chapel who grows more puzzled with every step, watching Precious wash the title with barely an acknowledgment to his arrival.
Dante Chapel: "Uhh... I know Covid-19's an issue but this is something else."
PPV: "This has nothing to do with Covid, boo."
Dante Chapel: "Ok, Miss OCD. So, uh, what is… all this for?"
Pulling out her glittering prize from the water, Precious rises to her feet appearing satisfied. Drying off her title with a towel, she slips off her gloves and goggles and displays her belt on her shoulder.
PPV: "Do you know where this title has been since I lost it in August, Dante?"
Dante Chapel: "After how many times it changed hands? Hell no."
PPV: "Exactly! It changed hands countless times. And for the love of God, I do not know how clean all those hands were. Then not only do we know it's been won in a restroom, it was in a trashbag that was bursting to the brim. The cherry on the cake is it was in the clutches of Tamsin, who smells like rotting beef crossed with a teenager’s trainers. Just thinking about it is nauseatingly repulsive."
Dante Chapel: "Well! When you put it like that!"
Precious puts her nose to the title, breathes in its clean scent, then sighs contentedly.
PPV: "Much better. Now, you know why I called you here."
Dante Chapel: "An inter...view…?"
PPV looks at him, eyes unblinking, hand outstretched. Recognising all she wants is his mic, Dante hands it over.
Dark eyes glitter above a thin smile. Precious twirls the mic in her hand and gazes at the camera.
PPV: "The pinnacle of wrestling matches - Madison Square Garden. If you're looking to be a professional, this is really what you're aiming at. This stage. This significance. For 40 years the best fighters in the world have graced this place."
"A holy garden of professional wrestling… where only the upper class of the wrestling world is allowed to tread."
"The stars themselves need to hear of PPV if I’m to make it to the summit of pro wrestling. So how fitting we have a match to remember on this very stage. Tonight has far-reaching consequences."
The drone of the awaiting crowd ached in the background.
PPV: "Most of them out there, the young included, will spend the final 40 minutes of the show watching a spectacle they will tell to their grandchildren."
"War Games is a special kind of match. It will make all others seem futile and small. It can chew you up and spit you out."
"Mind, spirit and body must all be tested. Glory is yours for the taking if you value it. Because in all the horror, it offers a chance. One pure, simple chance to honour your team, to crush the skulls of your enemies, and to ensure your place in wrestling folklore."
"I’m optimistic about our chances. Team GEW is going to do very well this evening. I can feel it."
Precious half smirks.
PPV: "Tonight will not be gentle for either side, but if you were to listen to Team Liberty, you wouldn’t believe it."
"Top of our game and more skilled than they expect. It doesn't take a scholar to see we've the stronger team. And lemme tell you, it's very interesting. There's a lot of layers to this match, but going into them all would take up too much time.."
"All you must know is the anger of Jade Night, and every scrap of might she could call on, is what rains down on us tonight. We face the stern resolve of Helena Noir, the dynamic duo of The Pride... and two rookies who've wrestled 10 matches between them."
Precious titters with a shake of the head.
PPV: "How irresponsible. Now don’t start putting needles in the PPV voodoo doll just yet, my negative friends."
PPV: "I like Melanie. She's a clever girl. A former Anarchy champion to boot.Your progress is admirable. Alex is talented and so on and so forth. You're both beginning to win fame. Many, many people try to break into Liberty Pro and fail miserably. You should be proud of yourselves. But War games at MSG is no place for a rookie to break their teeth into. I would know. I lost a molar fighting a hellacious match at Guerilla Warfare in Union. I fought fucking SANTANA in a deathmatch. I've been in the cage with an old rival. All in the space of a couple of months. War Games isn't a playground. Long term scarring, mental or physical, is a real possibility."
"Jade Night should know that, but she sure is shameless. Yeah, Jade. I see your senses have truly left you. I’m sure you had some wits before you got them all knocked out of you. All that's left is hot air."
"If we could harness all that hot air, we could make a furnace to power the whole of New York. How Liberty does not buckle under the weight of such arrogance I will never know."
"Because throwing two rookies into one of the rawest matches in the sport on the grandest stage of all is asking for trouble. War Games. GEW vs. Liberty. Madison Square Garden. Likely one of the biggest matches they'll ever enter, and neither of them have 8 matches to their name. That should tell Melanie and Alex a lot in itself. She thinks that your only purpose is to follow her orders. That you are swords to be wielded and then put down. And if you happen to break? So be it. There will be two more to take your place, and the crowds will take to them."
PPV shrugs.
"And in making that mistake, she reveals the true errors of her ways.Jade does not understand. She doesn't really understand… who we are. The GEW Team that will stand ready in that ring tonight have all competed with the big players wherever we have gone. Wrestlers across the country know us all by sight and reputation; our names are continually in the newspapers and on men's lips!"
"Latimer and Kross are in their element in a match like this. Old Man Latimer is iron in blood and bone. He would fight until there was nothing left for him to fight with, and then still fight on.Kenny adds another layer of cake to our attack since, love him or hate him, violent matches are his speciality."
"Cole? She's as much a veteran as anyone. She has been blooded and tested against the likes of Mel Reeves and others of her ilk time and time again. And was not only able to fight them off, but claimed a title and crushed plenty who stood in her way."
As for X and I? We carry three titles between us. GEW's premier title lies with X, whilst I'm killing it here and in Valiant. I ran the gauntlet, he's laid waste to every challenger he's had.
"Do you understand just what manner of slumbering beasts your shamelessness has awoken?"
"We are monsters beyond your imagination."
"Mark me. Jade Night will have her share of the proceeds from this match before long. Her fair share."
Steadfast in her belief, GEW's captain moves towards the door with relaxed focus, like a predator watching for prey.
PPV: "Enough talk. I will delay Jade’s defeat no longer."
"We'll settle this with our fists rather than our mouths."
She lets her own satisfaction bleed into her grin, And goes to meet her comrades.

Carmen Cambridge vs Kace Matthews
Carmen Cambridge vs Kace Matthews
RECAP Carmen Cambridge was doing what she does best-talking trash as the bell rings, but Kace catches her off guard early as he grabs at her blue hair, trying to rip it off as he promised on Twitter! Carmen screams and pulls away from him, but Kace gets a few strands of the blue hair and places it in his palm and blows it at her arrogantly, causing Cambridge to scream and run at him, but Kace ducks between the middle and top rope, causing the referee to ask Carmen to step back. Cambridge shouts at the official, telling him that it's a no disqualification match which prompts the referee to step aside, but as he does, Kace catches Carmen in the face with a super kick that sends her twirling around for a few moments before she falls flat on her back! Kace jumps on top of her but the Liberty star kicks out at a two count. Kace tries ripping at her hair again, but this awakens Carmen enough to get her wits about her and instead, she kicks Kace low which draws boos from the crowd, but it's absolutely legal in this type of match. Kace drops to both knees and cradles his precious area as Carmen stands up and screams that he isn't man enough to beat her. She gets in his face, grabbing his cheeks in her hand before she slaps the taste out of his mouth. She then pulls him up and dumps him through the middle ropes and to the floor. Kace stands up, resilient as ever, but unknown to him, Carmen is charging towards the ropes and she dives through them and takes him out with a headbutt to his chest through the ropes! The fans go crazy as Carmen drapes an arm over his chest but Kace manages to kick out at a two count. The Gucci Girl wasn't happy with the count and she lets the official know, but he reminds her that he's just doing his job and that he's administering fair counts on both ends. Carmen turns back around and Kace has a chair in his hand! He cracks her in the stomach which doubles her over. He then licks the chair before ramming it right across the back of the former champion! Carmen is down, but was she out? Kace decides not to go for a pin, but instead pulls a table out from under the ring. He slides the table into the ring and then slides Carmen into the ring right after the table. Unfortunately for Kace, Carmen was back on her feet as he slid into the ring and she hits him with a low dropkick that sends him to his back again, holding his face. Carmen says it's time to set the table as she pulls the table up and opens it up, setting it up in the middle of the ring. The Gucci Girl puts Kace on the table and tells him 'night night boo boo' before scaling to the top turnbuckle! The fans cheer as Kace quickly leaps up to his feet and runs over and pulls on the top rope, causing Carmen to lose her balance and fall to a seated position. Matthews wastes no time in pulling the table closer to the corner and then joining Carmen on the top turnbuckle. He hooks her for and connects with KACE THE THIEF off the top rope and through the table! Carmen was out cold as Kace hooks the leg, hurting himself as well and scores the three count! As Kace was announced the winner, it takes a minute for him to get up from the wreckage and as he does, he sees Carmen is still down and out. He gets a smile on his face as he slides out of the ring and goes under it and returns with a giant pair of clippers! He slides back into the ring and pulls Carmen's body from the wreckage and then holds her up to a seated position as the Gucci Girl is still out. He holds the clippers up and snips off some of the ends of her blue hair and holds them up for the world to see as they cheer and he lets her slump back to the mat, shouting that he told her he was taking that blue hair before he exits the ring as the referee tends to a still out cold Carmen. The skies over New York City were gray and the wind seemed to be trying to knock Aviva Miller’s black beanie hat off her head. She and her tag team partner Bobby Bradley were walking along the Brooklyn Bridge, dodging the occasional cyclist as they made their way over the East River toward Brooklyn.
AVIVA: It’s really too bad that we’re here in November, rather than December. When the Rockefeller Center tree is up, and the stores have all their windows decorated, and there’s lights strung across all the streets? It’s so gorgeous. I don’t celebrate Christmas, but I still love it.
BOBBY: You don’t have to celebrate something to recognize the beauty of it. That’s my take on a lot of things, like art for example. I don’t know what any of it means, but it sure looks good!
Being a native of Winnipeg, Bradley is used to the cold weather, just wearing a hooded sweatshirt and jeans. Aviva is wearing a black peacoat and jeans with knee-high boots, her golden brown hair loose over her shoulders.
AVIVA: Before we leave, maybe I’ll take you up to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. But, speaking of things we recognize but don’t celebrate, Bobby and I are here to take on the Liberty Pro Tag Team Champions, the Girls of Summer. As good as Coral and Nami are, Bobby and I will show them that we’re better, even though we haven’t been teaming together as long.
BOBBY: Well it’s hard to ever be able to have more chemistry than twins, they’ve been together their whole life and Aviva and I have only been teaming together for a month. We have, however, matched them in being champions, so we had to have done something right. GEW brought in these championships and while we certainly weren’t the favourites going into the match, we nevertheless walked out with them and taking on the Girls of Summer in their house, I daresay we won’t be the favourites again.
AVIVA: So clearly we’re not the types who let something as silly as not having the odds in our favor get us down. The Girls of Summer were tag team champions in 2017 when Liberty closed, and they’ve remained champs since the company’s re-opening. I believe in us, though. We make it work, no matter what. We give everything we do a hundred percent effort, and that includes winning this champion versus champion match to show that GEW is the premiere company in this city!
BOBBY: Well we can certainly make a case for the tag team champions at the very least. As my lovely partner alluded to, we’ll never match the Girls on experience, but one thing that we have proven since coming together is that we can adapt. We work well together and have been putting in the time since winning the gold in not just fighting as a team, but just getting to know each other. Neither one of us have been in this business for long but we’ve both worked every day to get to where we are and we haven’t let up at the first taste of success.
AVIVA: So while we wish Coral and Nami the best of luck tonight, my partner and I are determined to be the ones with our hands raised in the end. Now, there’s a great restaurant at the end of this bridge that we can stop at before we head to the arena. What do you think, are you hungry?
BOBBY: I’m always hungry, sounds great. We’ll see you in the ring Girls, surf’s up!

The cameras open up in a locker room shared by the Liberty Pro Tag Team Champions, Coral and Nami, aka Girls of Summer. They’re dressed as one might expect in matching gear, and sharing wary expressions as they talk to the man himself, Nathan Callaghan.
Nami: We’re just saying that there’s something fishy going on. We don’t blame Jade, okay. We don’t.
Coral: She really seems to care about Liberty, at least…
Coral trails off, giving Nathan a look that’s open to interpretation for sure, hands moving restlessly over her gear and her shiny Liberty Pro title belt where it rests around her waist.
Nami: We just hope everything else goes smoothly. There’s more than pride at stake, and this gut feeling something is up won’t go away.
Nathan’s voice is deep as usual, though the tone is warmer and less dismissive than is often heard from the man.
Nathan Callaghan: Is this what I think it is? Is this you two telling me to be careful?
After a pause, the pair nod in unison.
Nami: It’ll make us feel more at ease if you just say you’ll watch your back while we’re out there. We can’t do it for you when we’re in the ring.
Nathan Callaghan: Fine, fine. You’re worrying over nothing, but if it makes you feel better.
He claps a hand on their right shoulders, and then steers the pair towards the door.
Nathan Callaghan: Just take care of Robert and Aviva. I know I don’t need to remind either of you not to underestimate them just because they’re not from Liberty, the superior company. Go on, make me proud out there.
The cameras focus on Nathan as the Girls of Summer leave, his animated expression from dealing with them fading after they disappear, replaced by a more intense and thoughtful look before the camera fades out.

Show day had finally arrived and it was time for GEW to prove what they have been saying all along, that they are the superior company in New York.
Kendrick walked through the loading garage door seeing a few people around with the staff shirts on; he just gives them a smirk as he passes them. He gets closer to the back door when out of the corner of his eye he sees people that are wearing Liberty shirts. He pauses and takes a few steps to them and grabs one of them, throwing them against one of the walls of the garage they were in. He picked him up as he fell down and threw him against it once more before ripping the shirt off. This caused the other man to run off.
Kendrick walks to the back door and slings it open ripping posters down as he passes them causing staff members to back up. Though he grabs one and throws him against the wall to make sure he gets out of his way. Kendrick rips a camera off of its stand and turns it on placing it on a table as he sits on a chair and leans up against the wall the chair was backed up against.
Kendrick Kross: The fact that we are even having this discussion and this show is a disgrace. Everyone knows it and knows it damn well that GEW is the best company here in New York.
Kendrick shakes his head and laughs as his face seems to be emotionless. Staff members see him and seem to refuse to come anywhere near him.
Kendrick Kross: Look at it, our captain has the Liberty Anarchy Championship. This is where I ask Helena, who in your company has a GEW Championship? No one? I didn’t think so.
Kendrick laughs a bit but then he goes back to the same emotionless face.
Kendrick Kross: I know how bad you want to get after Scotty as well Helena. So I wouldn’t be surprised if you want to focus on him. But from where I am we have no personal vendettas. We don’t have someone that we want to focus on.
Kendrick crosses his legs and takes a breath as he looks each way still seeing how empty the hall seems to be.
Kendrick Kross: This is where we do what we came to do, and that’s to show not just Liberty but the world that we aren’t going to play second fiddle to anyone. This team was set up so we could win this War Games match. The true Kings and Queens of New York are GEW. That’s not just a statement. That’s a damn fact that you’ll find out tonight.
Kendrick gives the camera a final smirk and chuckle as the camera fades.

MATCH SEVEN: TORNADO TAG
Girls of Summer vs Robert Bradley & Aviva Miller
Girls of Summer vs Robert Bradley & Aviva Miller
RECAP This match features tag team champions versus tag team champions, and it is definitely not a let down. The Tornado Tag style means that all opponents are in the ring at the same time and each team still manages to work together early on. Coral and Nami land some impressive double chops and show an early offensive gain that is quickly neutralized when Robert and Aviva hit double-clotheslines taking the surfer girls off their feet. They high five one another but quickly things settle as they begin to battle their own respected opponents. Coral takes on Robert, while Nami goes after Aviva. Robert and Coral eventually splash out through the ropes (no pun intended) to the floor beneath leaving Nami and Aviva in the ring, Nami has been backed into a corner where Aviva sends her flying across the way and follows up with a corner clothesline that sees Nami plummeted into the corner. Aviva slowly backs up and hits Nami with a low dropkick before pulling her out, taking to the ropes she leaps off with a high flying leg drop that goes for a pin, but it was short-lived as Coral has somehow made her way back into the ring. Robert seems to be recovering though its unsure of how he was put down as the cameras had been following Aviva and Nami at the time, but Coral is quick to take advantage of this situation by whipping her fellow California girl Aviva down to the mat with a neckbreaker, she doesn’t cover however as she sees Robert slide back into the ring and she runs to dropkick him back out but pays for her efforts as he moves and she finds herself gripping at the rope only to have Robert pull her the rest of the way out and take advantage of the misstep. Slinging Coral into the barricade he leaps up onto the apron only to dive off with a power double-axe handle. He tosses Coral back into the ring and joins the other three downed opponents. Checking on his partner he smiles as he sees her recover and then he goes to work on Coral once again lifting her up and planting her down with a stalling vertical suplex. The crowd seems entranced by how smooth that transition once, before making a pin attempt, that sees Coral kicking out in 2.5 seconds. The audience in attendance seems torn between the two teams as both represent their companies with equal impressive nature. As Nami and Aviva have finally recovered Robert has continued his assault on Coral and almost attempted to hit her in the face (which she really doesn’t like), he gets a hard slap for his efforts and he laughs at that, but Coral was only a deterrent as she points behind him only to see him turn to see Nami charging in his direction, Coral being no stranger to her tag team partners moveset kicks Robert in the back of his knee giving Nami just the range she needs to nail her running high knee. Aviva moved to intercept but Coral was having none of it, hitting her with a side kick that stopped her in her tracks as Nami locked in the surprise three. The scene opens up to GEW’s first (and former) Resilience champion Jennifer Yang pacing backstage. She looks troubled, as if wrestling with a million thoughts at once. Yet she’s all dressed in her ring attire and looking ready for her match tonight. Hesitating a little, she finally looks up and approaches the camera. She gives it a cool smile.
Jennifer Yang: Normally, I’d be all excited to represent the company I work for. And I am. In this case, it’d be GEW and I’m so honoured to be picked for a match against the rival, Liberty Pro. I mean, this event is bound to happen some day. That’s what happens when you’re in the same region. And really, I am… very honoured and humbled to be a GEW represent in this match against Liberty’s Max Cerrano whom I’ve found out to be a very skilled individual. Someone I could even learn from. But of course that’s not all I’ve come to hear about when it concerns a guy like Max.
She looks away for a second as a scowl forms on her face.
Jennifer Yang: Nonetheless, I will treat him fairly in the ring tonight. Nothing will stop me from doing so. But with that said, I know I’ll be heading into dangerous territory. That’s what Max does. And worse still, what’s on the line in our match is Liberty’s own Gotham championship. And that’s what Max will be fighting for. But what about me?
Again she looks away, feeling more frustrated than before.
Jennifer Yang: I trust GEW. I’ve trusted Miss Moss and now I trust Ms Campbell. But the Gotham championship? That’s not GEW. I’m sorry but I still don’t know why I’m fighting for a championship that belongs to another company. I was advised to do it to take it away from Max, like some sort of punishment. Is that really it? I mean, I’d be glad to help stop those who go out of their way just to wreak havoc and corruption. Like what I did with AJ Jenkynx before GEW took a break.
A thoughtful look crosses her face.
Jennifer Yang: But that’s different… I know what AJ did. And it was personal. And he’s in GEW. Not Max. It’s not my place to stop him… or is it?
She inhales and exhales.
Jennifer Yang: I can’t help but be back and forth with this, but believe me, I have made up my mind. As much all those thoughts have bothered me, it made me realise that there was no need to worry about all that. There was no need to doubt Ms Campbell or my abilities or why I was booked in this match with Max for the Gotham title. It’s never even about the title either.
She looks directly at the camera with growing confidence.
Jennifer Yang: Because it all doesn’t matter in the end. Whatever decision that put Max across from me tonight, he will no doubt treat me as the enemy. Because I’m the one who stands in his way. I’m the obstacle he needs to overcome. As long as I’m here, he can’t get to the Gotham championship he wants. And because of all that, he will show me no mercy. So the only thing I can do is to do the same. Nothing less, nothing more.
She nods before turning away to leave the place.

BACKSTAGE
The cameras cut backstage to find Alex Reeves sitting on a production box with her legs dangling over the edge. Alex seems to be lost in thought for a moment and doesn’t immediately notice the camera before her, already dressed for her match later in the night her black and red wrestling tights I highlighted with touches of gold for the occasion. Her fingers are tight with matching red and black tape which she seems to be picking at a little either because she’s anxious to begin the night because she’s bored.
It doesn’t take Alex long to realise there is a camera before her, she looks up in pairs down the lens for a long second before breaking into a wide smile lifting her eyebrows just a little. She runs a hand through her hair and ensures that she looks just how she wants to before she begins to speak.
ALEX: “So here we have it, not too long ago Jade came to me and she asked me if I would be willing to do whatever it took to prove that I was on her side. And since that happened she has approached a few others to ensure that they are on side as well, however we all know that the only reason we are being led to victory tonight is because of me. I don’t care who the team leaders are on the other team I don’t care about precious Pippa whatever and definitely definitely don’t care about “THAT Cole King”... that nobody more like! When I made my debut in liberty I did so with the claim that I was here to make a difference, that wasn’t just empty talk, I’m not the Tyson Gregorys of liberty and I’m not the Jennifer Young’s of GEW what I am is a woman who is more than capable of backing up her words.
This show is nothing more than another way for people to spell out all of our ego as if it means anything to the rest of us, it’s the same tired faces with the same old words and I know I say this week after week, but that’s only because it’s true week after week. It’s like nobody actually listens to anyone, unless they’re saying what they want to hear. I’m not here to do that, I’m not here to kiss house, I’m not here to make friends, I’m here to ensure that wrestling actually has a future and so long as places like GEW exist giving handouts to nobody is just in hopes of filling some seats, the rest of us have to work twice as hard to get noticed. Because GEW isn’t a place that just takes on new talent, they’re not about giving those fresh faces A first chance. They were when they first opened but now they become just like everywhere else.
And now I’m not saying liberty doesn’t do the same, but they’ve never claimed to be all about homegrown talent. At least at liberty you’re aware that you have to deal with people that think they’re better than they are, people that should’ve retired years ago, people that honestly have backs laid and make the company look bad. You know who you are and you know who I’m talking to and let’s not forget the fact that Xavier has decided to team for GEW - someone who was actually there from the beginning, but still isn’t given the headline team leader role. Instead it’s given to someone that is so plastered all over everywhere, that if she is-Gregory actually did get it on the world may actually fucking implode from the shit explosion of ego and circle jerking that would happen.”
Alex then jumped off the production crate, smooth her hands down her leggings, adjust her hair and smile for the camera. You can’t help but notice the sarcastic smile behind the obviously not genuine one put on for the camera. She glances left down the hall and then right down the hall, then she brings her focus back to the camera, yeah that’s right she has more to say.
ALEX: “ so you can focus on the kings and queens, you can pretend that you have any investment in how the company does, but the fact is you’re willing to trample all over that same homegrown talent to get your name at top billing. And people like Miss Moss and whoever her replacement is, allow you to do that. Jade maybe a bit of a tyrant on occasion but she always follows up on what she says, that’s why I’m gonna make sure that we win tonight. Because when I say I’m going to do something just like Jade, I actually fucking do it. So how about the rest of you follow my lead and actually do some fucking wrestling tonight because honestly, we’ve got them beat with one hand tied behind our back.”
And with that Alex hands on her heels, and walked off down the hall.

MATCH EIGHT: GOTHAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Max Cerrano versus Jennifer Yang
Max Cerrano versus Jennifer Yang
RECAP This match opens up with a bang! Jennifer runs forward, ducking under an attempt to clothesline her by Max, catching his shoulder and countering with a hard hitting swinging neckbreaker, taking him to the ground. From the ground, Jennifer tries to counter the Gotham Champion’s size by having him on the ground, using a plethora of submissions to keep the champ down. Jenn tries to end the fight early with an arm bar, only to have Max power out of it. Transition after transition happened, the Nightfall veteran is showcasing her amazing technical abilities while Max counters her with his own technical skills. Finally, it was Max who emerges victorious in the exchange, countering a shining wizard attempt with a hard elbow strike to Jennifer’s temple, crossing behind her and making the ring shake from the impact of her body as he executes a textbook snapdragon suplex! Still, even with the impact that could have ended the match, Jennifer wasn’t down and out. She was moving to her feet as Max charged her but the former GEW Resilience Champion surprised him with a flying arm bar, taking him to the ground as she wretched his arm, struggling to snap on the move, but when she did? She felt that victory was within her grasp, mere inches as she tried to force Max to submit only to watch that in grasp victory slip from her palms as he managed to use his strength to crawl to the ropes and grab the bottom one, the ref forcing her to break the hold. Rolling to his back, and getting up, Max refuses to look weak despite the pain going through his arm as he leaps up and moves to try and hammer Jennifer with a springboard meathook clothesline that she ducked under, grabbing his arm and whipping him towards the corner rope, running after him, but as he hit the turnbuckles, he was stepping onto the second, then the third, building momentum as he backflips off of it, and behind her, and as the bewildered Jennifer turns around? SUPERKICK! Visibly stunned, Jennifer drops to the ground and Max goes for the pin but no! Jennifer kicks out after two! Max tries to keep momentum and looks to pick Yang up but she pulls him down! She gets up to her feet and when Max gets up himself, she drops him with #BEHUMBLE (Wristlock springboard cutter). She goes for the pin but at the two count, Cerrano gets his foot on the ropes and the referee notices it. Yang can’t believe it, she thought she had the match in her grasps. Jen stalks over Max, waiting to hit him with another #BEHUMBLE but when she tries, Max hits her with a thumb to the eye. The referee yells at Max but Max tells him to shut the fuck up. Max then hits Jennifer with Kill Your Masters - Flatliner transitioned smoothly into a Koji Clutch! Jennifer tries to struggle out of it but she can’t. Max yanks hard on the hold and Jennifer finally taps out. The bell rings and Max is announced the winner but he yanks the hold in one more time for good measure, calling Yang unworthy GEW trash. He then grabs his Gotham Championship and exits the ring. WINNER And sti.ll Gotham Champion… Max Cerrano METHOD Submission MATCH LENGTH 13:32 FINISHING MOVE Kill Your Masters |
BACKSTAGE
The scene opens up from earlier today where we see Liberty Pro wrestler, Tyson Gregory, sitting in one of the seats in the lower bowl of Madison Square Garden. Gregory is in high top Jordans, dark blue pressed jeans and a black hoodie with the Liberty Pro logo on it. He watches as the ring and staging for the Kings & Queens of New York show is set up. Tyson looks out the side of his eyes, seeing the camera as he lets out a sigh, leans back and puts his feet on the back of the seat in front of him.
Tyson Gregory: Tonight I’m taking on someone that I’ve been in multiple companies with. ECWF, Valiant and I’m sure others. But it takes an interpromotional match between GEW and Liberty Pro to finally get us in the ring and facing off. You know, it has to be a pretty impressive feat to have never faced off, I mean the odds have to be almost overwhelming against this but yet here we are. I will say this cause I give Michael a decent amount of shit cause he’s only really been around for a cup of coffee or two but he has above average skills in the ring. It’s just a shame that it all gets entirely looked over due to the verbal diarrhea he keeps pumping out at the pace that it would back up anyone’s sewage.
A smirk comes to his face.
Tyson Gregory: He wants you to think he’s a big deal in GEW when he was there to blindside X at the end of their last show before going on a like three month hiatus. Guess what Mikey? Everyone who cares about GEW has forgotten about that. You see how they are all focused on the big tag match that you didn’t get picked to be on? Which is surprising since Kross was barely in GEW and he made the team. I guess he’s just a bit less annoying than you or something, can’t be sure since I don’t really pay attention to his emo tweets. But let’s get this back to you and me here. I remember when I won that Valiant Championship and you were one of the first people to tweet at me saying you were gonna take the belt from me and blah blah blah…
He lets out a sigh, bringing his feet down off the chair.
Tyson Gregory: So I do an open challenge, hand out championship opportunities like damn Halloween candy and where are you? Where did Mikey go? Oh that’s right, you brought in your girlfriend and made a tag team that is limping along so much so that you now added Kenzie to it to be a three on two match. Where did the bravado go? Where was the strong words you lead with? Suddenly you become a tag team wrestler when you’ve had countless opportunities open to you to try your hand against me? And now I see you’re going the route of Pepper Vain and wanting the Lionheart Championship? You did see what she said about that right? She could challenge for it anytime she wanted and it would be an easy win. But she wanted the challenge of facing me for my title. Granted, she lost… Everytime she faced me… But that just proves that the current Lionheart Champion knows her title is beneath me. So is that why you’re aiming for it instead of going to the top of the mountain?
A laugh escapes Tyson as he shakes his head.
Tyson Gregory: Yes, I know this is a lot of Valiant talk for a Liberty Pro show… And yes that is what this is since GEW is on hiatus. But that’s the only even ground we have right now. I’m splitting time here and there while Mikey is trying to make his made up nickname stick by taking every booking he can under the sun. So unless you want me talking about ECWF where Mikey was the bitch boy to Genocide and made some more than questionable tweets on his previous Twitter account, it’s what I can go with.
He holds up his hand now.
Tyson Gregory: And yes, I know I can go for the low hanging fruit that is the guys poorly shaped head. Dear lord I feel horrible for his mother and pray he was a C section and not a natural downstairs blowout birth. His depth perception must be terrible with having to turn his head completely to one side to see off to the side. You know what? Let’s just get this match over and done with so I can focus on matches that really matter. Just know this Michael, this is our end game and Ironman dies at the end… Because you suck ass 3000.
Tyson winks at the camera before getting up from his seat, walking by the camera and down the steps as the scene fades out.

BACKSTAGE
As the camera cuts backstage, Michael Marou is seen with his manager, Emily Johnson. Emily stands off to the side just a bit, as Michael looks into the camera. Dressed ready for a fight in his trunks and his signature “Fuck Failure” tshirt, he starts to speak.
“I guess I’m supposed to go on record and talk about how GEW is so much better than Liberty. How we have the better roster, the better fans, the better management... we’re just better all around.”
Michael starts to laugh slightly, because even he doesn’t buy that bullshit.
“Here’s the deal though. I’m not gonna do that. I don’t have a dog in this fight. I haven’t even had my first match in GEW yet. Now while I am proud to represent GEW, and I hope the company does well tonight, that’s not why I’m here. I’m not here as a brand loyalist, or as someone looking to take down Liberty.”
At this point, Marou holds up his index finger toward the camera.
“I’m here for one reason. I’m going into this match because Ms Moss is the one that signs my paychecks over in GEW, and she asked me to. And because of that, for the first time ever, I’m going to step into a Liberty Pro Wrestling ring. Not only that, but I’m stepping toe to toe against Tyson Gregory.”
Michael smirks, knowing that he’s in for a hard fight.
“I’ll be real. Tyson and I have no history. We’ve just barely stayed out of each other’s way. We were in ECWF at the same time, but never stood against each other in the squared circle. We are both top stars of Valiant, but haven’t quite bumped into one another yet. I haven’t locked up with the guy yet, so liberty gets that first showing. Props to you guys.”
Emily stands in the background, taking in every word her client says. Michaels face grows more stern as he drops his voice slightly.
“I give Liberty props for that, because this match might just steal the show. Here’s what I can tell you about Tyson. He’s held championships in more companies then I’ve even wrestled in. He’s got a win/loss record that puts mine to shame. He’s in the top 5 of every place he steps foot in. He’s no slouch. He’s definitely not an opponent to take lightly.”
His voice drops again, speaking quieter but very clearly.
“Now let me tell you about myself. I debuted in wrestling in 2015. I wasn’t ready yet. I had the fighting skills, but didn’t realize exactly what wrestling was all about. I took a break from wrestling. I honed my craft. I trained. And this year, I came back to take the wrestling world by storm. Now I work in Valiant. GEW. Dystopia FC. Uprising. And I’m a top guy in each of them. The Ironman of Wrestling. God-tier talent.”
He smirks once again as he strokes his own ego. Even Emily can’t help but grin.
“Tyson I hope you didn’t make the mistake of brushing me off. I hope you didn’t think that because your list of accomplishes topples mine with ease, that I wasn’t worth preparing for. I hope you know EXACTLY what you’re getting into when you step into my ring. I’m not going to fight you for company pride. I’m going to fight you, because you’re the next rung on my ladder to greatness. You just better pray that your surgically repaired shoulder holds up. I plan on ensuring that it doesn’t.”
With that, Michael gives a wink to the camera as he walks away. Emily shuffles off behind him as the two get ready to head to the ring for the match.

MATCH NINE: SINGLES
Michael Marou vs Tyson Gregory
Michael Marou vs Tyson Gregory
RECAP At the sound of the bell, Gregory and Marou circle up with the both of them trying to get a feel on the other. Once they go to lock up, Marou drives a knee into the midsection of Gregory, quickly following it up with a second driving knee that staggers Tyson into the near corner. Michael closes the gap and hooks Tyson in a Muay Thai clinch and starts to pepper Tyson with multiple knees. Tyson does his best to block the strikes but soon get overwhelmed when a series of them connect to his face. He then pulls in Tyson and lifts him with. Stalling suplex before dropping him in the middle of the ring. He makes the cover but only gets a two count. Marou questions the referee but then starts to hammer down strikes on Tyson before the official warns him about the close fists. Michael let’s Tyson get back to his feet before hitting him with a big belly to belly overhead suplex. Tyson makes the veteran move and rolls out of the ring before Michael can try a pin. Marou follows Tyson out and looks to run him into the ring steps but at the last moment, Gregory is able to spin it around and send Marou shoulder first into the steps. Tyson pushes Michael face first into the ring post before rolling him back into the ring. He then springboards into the ring, driving an elbow into the chest of Marou but only gets a near fall himself. Tyson is quick to pull Michael up hitting him with a series of knife edge chops that immediately redden the chest of Marou. He follows up with a jumping knee to the side of Michael’s head, that drops him to a knee. Tyson backs up a step before superkicking Marou in the head. But rather than go for the cover, Gregory rushes the ropes, springboarding off the top with a moonsault only to have Marou catch him, dropping him with a big powerslam! Michael follows up, trying for a Kimura to get the submission win but Tyson fights the hold. They two engage in some mat grappling with Marou trying to lock in the Kimura. But Tyson proves to be just squirrelly enough and somehow manages to lock Marou in The Stockade (Chickenwing over the shoulder crossface). Gregory rears back, trying to put more pressure on the shoulder joint of Marou. But to his credit, Michael shows a ton of resiliency, refusing to tap out and making it to the ropes to break the hold. He goes to pull Marou back his feet but is met with a spinning back fist for his trouble followed up with a big spear! Marou makes the cover but only can get a two. Frustration starts to show now as Marou thought he had it won. Michael is able to connect with a big gutwrench powerbomb but only gets a two count. Marou shows some frustration going outside to get a chair. He lines up Tyson for a chair shot despite the referee’s yelling. Before he can swing the chair, Tyson boots him in the midsection, causing him to drop the chair. Gregory is quick to pick it up and swings it back to hit Michael but the referee pulls it from Tyson’s hands! He turns and argues with him before turning back to Marou who levels Tyson with his Corporal Punishment superkick! Marou drops down for the cover but just before two Tyson gets his foot on the bottom ropes! Marou can’t believe it and starts to argue with the official about the count before pulling Tyson slowly to his feet. He now looks to go for the Court Martial (sit out pile driver) but as soon as he starts to lift Tyson, he slides out and is able to drop Michael with The End Of Your Sorrow (Lifting single underhook DDT)! Tyson rolls up Michael and is able to get the three count! WINNER Tyson Gregory METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 17:12 FINISHING MOVE The End of Your Sorrow |

RINGSIDE
The sounds of 'Your Favorite Drug' by Porcelain and The Tramps filled the air. None other than 'YOUR Favorite Drug' Xavier Laroux emerged from the back only to be joined by that mixed reaction he had grown so accustomed to. Standing proudly at the top of that entrance ramp, Xavier was dressed and ready to go. A pair of tattered and worn denim jeans and a GEW t-shirt completed his look. Draped across his shoulder was that GEW Grand Championship.
Making his way down the ramp and into that ring, Laroux popped up to his feet, that oh so arrogant smirk plastered to his features. Being handed a microphone through the ropes by a ring attendant, Xavier made his way to the middle of the ring to speak up.
Xavier Laroux: Tonight, we put this shit to rest. Tonight, Pepper leads Team GEW into battle against Team Liberty. All the back and forth shit talk. All the lilrun-ins. This shit all gets settled tonight. And lemme tell you, we are fuckin primed and ready to WIN!
Laroux nodded as to agree with his own words before continuing on.
Xavier Laroux: See, GEW is my place. My one place in this world where I stand head and shoulders above everyone else. Sure there was some negative feelins but that's been worked out. When it comes down to it, GEW is my sanctuary and I will fight for it till the last breath leaves my body. And I'm willin to bet that every one of my teammates feel the exact same way. But there's a difference between and them.
Lowering that microphone for a moment, he brought his free hand up to run across the top of his head.
Xavier Laroux: As much as this is bout provin GEW is BETTER than Liberty, it's bout somethin more for me. After this match, everyone else split back off to continue chasin their own goals. Everyone cept me. Even after all the dust settles and the rubble is cleared away..my fight continues. My fight against Jade Night.
The smirk Laroux wore only grew that much larger, this time taking on a noticeable devious tone to it.
Xavier Laroux: No matter what happens tonight, Jade, you are STILL my problem. And I'm gonna continue doin everythin in my power to make sure you realize just how badly you fucked up this time. See, ain't nobody in this business can hold a grudge like I can. Sure, I can keep my mouth shut, play the part I play but when it comes down to it? I DON'T forget. If I'm wronged, you can bet your ass Ima get my getback in one way or another. Jade, enjoy tonight. Tonight, I fight for MY GEW. But as soon as that final bell rings, I'm comin right back for fuckin throat.
Laroux dropped that microphone before ducking out of the ring and making his way back up the ramp. Stopping at the top, he pulled the GEW Grand Championship from his shoulder before raising it high proudly. Nodding his head, he disappeared to the back.

HEADLINE: RESILIENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
Freddie Hjalmar vs Andrea Kleine
Freddie Hjalmar vs Andrea Kleine
RECAP The Champion and challenger stand toe to toe in the middle of the ring as the fans were eating up this dream match about to come to reality right in front of their eyes. Andrea was a proud champion, and this was going to be one of her biggest challenges to date. The fans were mostly behind Kleine, who has built a solid fanbase in Grand Endurance Wrestling, so you can imagine their distaste for Freddie as he starts the match by abruptly ending their staredown by poking her in the right eye! The champion stumbles back, temporarily blinded which Hjalmar capitalizes on immediately by hitting a spinning roundhouse kick! The champion collapses and Freddie goes for a cover but Andrea gets her shoulder up just in the nick of time, showing what resilience is all about. Hjalmar looked appalled at the official but he was smarter than to let it distract him. He stays on Kleine, dragging her to the side of the ring where he steps on her throat and pulls on the top rope for leverage to choke the life out of her. The referee counts to four and the challenger wisely breaks the illegal hold. Still in control, Freddie pulls her back to the middle of the ring and hits a cartwheel into a standing moonsault on his fallen opponent but Kleine again gets the shoulders up. The fans cheer her on as Freddie looks disgusted at what he thinks is their lack of taste. As he pulls her to her knees, she retaliates by pushing him away. Hjalmar backs against the ropes and rebounds off of them but as he returns to the champion, she has a surprise for him in the form of a dropkick. Andrea knew he was far from finished so she decides to head to the high risk area aka the top rope. As Freddie stands up, Andrea leaps into the air and hits a big time dropkick that sends the challenger flying across the ring! Andrea scrambles over and pushes him to his back and covers, failing to hook a leg but Freddie wisely drapes a foot over the bottom rope, which the referee sees and stops the count. Dissapointing for Andrea of course, but the rules are the rules and she stands back up, waiting for Freddie to do the same. She wouldn't have to wait long and as Freddie made it to his feet and Andrea was all over him. She runs at him and leaps as high as she can into the air, taking his head under her arms as she drops him with a spinning ddt, driving his head into the canvas. That had to be it for the first fall...but no! Freddie kicks out at two and Andrea's face shows it all as she was growing angry, but despite her age, she was also remaining focused. She leans down to pick him up but Freddie pulls her forward and sends her into the middle rope where her eyebrow catches a rope burn and drops her. Now that right eye was still stinging from the poke and the rope burn and Freddie was determined to put her away. He measures her up as she slowly makes it to a knee and then BAM! As quick as he began the motions, his bicycle knee strike that he calls The Thorn connects! He makes the cover and picks up a three count and the first fall of this match! FREDDIE HJALMAR (CHALLENGER): 1 ANDREA KLEINE (CHAMPION): 0 The fans boo as Hjalmar motions to his waist that he's only a fall away from walking away with the GEW Resilience Championship. But among the posturing and showboating, Andrea has slowly recovered to a knee. She crawls towards a distracted challenger and rolls him up! The fans can sense it here as the referee drops to make a count but no! Freddie kicks out at two and actually beats a still hurting Kleine back up. Freddie aggressively runs at her for another Bicycle kick, but this time Andrea is able to avoid it and as Freddie crashes and burns, Andrea hits a jumping enziguri kick to the side of his head! She goes for a pin but again only scores a two count. For everything she has done so far, she just couldn't seem to keep the challenger down. She pulls at her hair, wondering what she could do but what she doesn't see is Freddie crawling to the corner. He stealthily stands to his feet and begins to remove the turnbuckle covering but the referee sees him and spins him around, much to the fans delight! The ref grabs the turnbuckle pad and warns him not to use the exposed turnbuckle, but Freddie doesn't listen and as Andrea runs at him, he lifts her up and drops her face first on the exposed turnbuckle! The referee immediately calls for a disqualification! Freddie can't believe it! FREDDIE HJALMAR (CHALLENGER): 1 ANDREA KLEINE (CHAMPION): 1 Now with everything evened up, the entire match hung on the final fall. Would Andrea retain, or would Freddie find a way to do what no one has been able to since she won the Resilience Championship: Wrestle the title away from her? Despite his ignorance to the rules, or his disregard of them, Freddie has the champion in a precarious position now and he knows it. She was barely conscious and he knew it. He yanks her to her feet and drops her with the Ex-Voto! He holds on for a pin attempt but somehow Andrea gets a shoulder up again! The fans couldn't be more relieved, knowing that Freddie had almost literally stolen the Resilience Championship. An 'Andrea...Andrea....Andrea' chant breaks out and Freddie shouts at the fans that she can't beat him, it isn't possible! He picks her up again and there's still life in her...she slaps him in the face which stuns the challenger before she lifts him up and drops him down to the mat with a brutal looking driver into a pin. 1 2 ...... NO! A kickout by Hjalmar! Andrea was shocked, hurt, but still hopeful. She didn't fight as hard as she has to lose it here and as Freddie was on the mat, trying to gain his senses, Andrea moves in for the kill. She pulls him to the center of the ring and attempts to apply her go to Indian Deathlock which has put down more than a few challengers. Freddie scratches and claws, trying to find a way out before its totally synched in, but he can't! Andrea applies the hold right in the center of the ring. Freddie tries reaching for the ropes, but after realizing he was much too far away, he has no choice and begins to tap out, giving the third and deciding fall to Andrea Kleine! FREDDIE HJALMAR (CHALLENGER): 1 ANDREA KLEINE (CHAMPION): 2 WINNER Andrea Kleine METHOD Submission MATCH LENGTH 33:04 FINISHING MOVE Indian Deathlock |

Scotty Latimer: War Games…..that's what we are calling this?
The scene fades in and outside in the parking lot stands Scotty Latimer.
Scotty Latimer: War Games….sounds kind of fun doesn't it? Two teams battling out for what did Pepper say crowns? She wants a crown? I guess Xavier or Kendrick wants the crown too right? That's fine, you can have your crowns and I can damn sure promise you I'll do what is necessary as your partner to get that for you. But what does Scotty Latimer want….thats easy, to make a statement and cause chaos. Because that's what happened in a match like this right? People buy the tickets to see chaos, to get that holy shit moment. Well I promise you all that you will get that moment.
Scotty rubs his jaw then looks back into the camera.
Scotty Latimer: Jade you put a guy like me inside something like this. What do you think Helena and her crew are going to silence me? Put an end to my shenanigans? No….nah what you did was seal your meal ticket, your chosen champion and the rest of her team inside something that they can't escape with a guy that you personally decided to screw around…...because I wasn't in your plans to win a battle royal and become number 1 contender. So you resolved that by booking a tag match where if the other team won they get put in the title match with me and your girl. And you actually think that was fair to me? That all the blood, sweat, tears, and bullshit like me getting stripped of a championship I never lost, you thought I was going to let that slide? I was just going to be the good Scotty and hey I had my chance and lost congrats to Helena for pinning the person who wasn't the number 1 contender and retaining her title.
Scotty was getting a little worked up.
Scotty Latimer: What happens in that match tonight is on your head, and Helena guess what? You are playing my game. What happened last week? You honestly think I would just let you walk in and lay me out? I saw you coming. I wanted to put yourself in that comfort zone Jade has tried oh so hard to keep you in. When the time is right? I'll get my one on one match, and you two will be begging for me to challenge. Thats right Liberty Pro is going to beg Scotty Latimer!
Scotty keeps being worked up.
Scotty Latimer: So it doesn't matter who the supposed number 1 contender is, because until I get my one on one match it's me. But that's later….it's about tonight. The Rogue Nightmare promises you all a holy shit moment? You're going to get it. Scotty Latimer promises that someone on his team will get a crown? Someone will get it. And I promise you Helena Noir that when you face me one on one…..you're looking at the guy that will destroy you, and embarrass you, and become what I should have been a long time ago, the Liberty Champion.
Scotty walks away abruptly as the scene ends.

BACKSTAGE
The main event of “Kings And Queens” was quickly approaching and, with that, the final battle between team LPW and team GEW. The stakes were high, things got quite tense in the past months between the Twitter trash talk, show invasions and all that jazz. Pride was on the line, but despite all this, Helena Noir looked rather calm as she sat on the floor, somewhere backstage. Not that she was known to show her emotions, but you’d think that, after having been in the front line in this war since day one, she would feel some pressure. That didn’t seem to be the case or, if it was, she hid it very well.
Helena Noir: Congratulations GEW, you won.
She spoke those words who arguably left the fans confused in a cold and calm tone, no sarcasm in them.
Helena Noir: You got the most eyes you ever had on your product, in a time that would, otherwise, have been dead for you, with no weekly shows produced and your main stars shining elsewhere. The fans would have possibly forgotten about you guys, and instead, the spotlights are on you tonight, kudos.
Raising her glance from the floor, she looked straight into the camera.
Helena Noir: I’m sure Moss and Cambell are more than satisfied with these two hours of fame, I’m sure that right now they are gloating about how, with a little help from our beloved Nate I’m sure, they accomplished to drag Liberty in this war. A war that, let’s be honest, Liberty has nothing to gain from and everything to lose. Facts don’t lie, Liberty already is without a question bigger than GEW and that’s not even a knock on the roster. We’re talking about a company that, on and off, has been established for three years and another one who has only just begun. We are talking about a company that airs his shows from iconic locations such as the Hammerstein Ballroom and the MSG while the other is stuck in the -sigh- Moss Center.
I could go on and on, but I’ll only say this. Nine out of ten people in this main event are under contract with LPW. Think.
A pause to let her words sink in.
Helena Noir: I’m not measuring dicks here, I’m just putting things into perspective. No matter how much you yell from the roof and all over social media that it’s not true, Liberty IS a notch above GEW. Will it get to the same level, eventually? I have no doubts, but it won’t be tonight, and it won’t be at our expenses.
At this point, the Liberty champion stood up to her feet.
Helena Noir: For two weeks I saw you claiming how you will finally prove that GEW is better than Liberty, backing your claims with whacky theories, threats, empty promises and reciprocated ego strokes. An almost perfect make-up to cover the underlying fragility inborn in your team. And yet, the cracks are right here for an attentive eye to see.
She cracked the slightest of smiles.
Helena Noir: The captain argument, the unhealthy obsession you five share with me, the blind rage that drives you and will inevitably lead you to make mistakes in that ring, your egos and the pathological and desperate need to be the one.
The Liberty champion shook her head.
Helena Noir: Inside that cage, there is no I, there is no need for a captain nor a second in command. With ten people in that wicked structure, there’s no room for your giant size egos. When that bell rings, you have to realize that you’re in there on borrowed time, that you have no time for personal beef or vendettas. This is the difference between you and us. You are five people, we are a team.
Picking up her title from the floor, Helena wore it around her waist.
Helena Noir: I’m leaving you with one simple question, one I want you to answer once the match is over, once you’ll see the Liberty and the Liberty champion standing tall over your broken body. Was it worth it?
Helena Noir: You guys made this bed, now it’s time for you to lie in it. Welcome to New York City, welcome to my Queendom.

RINGSIDE
The fans are buzzing for the main event but suddenly a small pocket of people start booing. This wave of boos spreads across the arena as more and more fans turn and realize ROTTEN are coming through the crowd en route to the ring. Oliver Thurston-Knott has a megaphone in one hand and a brick in the other. He is followed by Clara, Ivy, Evie and the group's latest recruit Micaela. Rory is hanging back a little, handheld camera filming the rest of ROTTEN as they stride purposefully through the audience. OTK lifts his megaphone.
OTK: Testing, testing.
It works. Various fans are trying to get in their face but it seems they are under strict order not to respond - all remain stoic and fixed on reaching the ring. OTK climbs over the barricade and is immediately met by a couple members of the ringside crew. The ROTTEN leader forces a weak smile then turns back to make sure his comrades have reached the barricade safely. They climb over and the group just brushes through the crew members, ignoring their protestations, and enters the ring. With a glint of madness in his eye, OTK raises the megaphone again.
OTK: Listen, we’re not scheduled to be here tonight but we couldn’t miss an opportunity to reach a bigger audience. Forget the monarchist title, it’s Liberty and GEW on the same show. That’s a lot of impressionable people so no wonder *they* didn’t want us on the card. It’s obvious we are being deplatformed - they are trying to suppress our message. But do you know what that means? It means they know we’re dangerous… and believe me, we are.
He chuckles lightly whilst glancing down at the brick in his hand.
OTK: I hope everyone has enjoyed the show so far because there will be no main event.
Boos sound across the arena, someone even launches a plastic cup towards OTK but it only reaches the ropes. Oliver wags his finger patronizingly while the other members laugh.
OTK: Calm down, the show isn’t over. I’m going to use that time to explain the structures of your oppression and how we the people will dismantle them. I will reveal our Ten Year Plan to change Western civilization forever. There will be no more wrestling tonight, only learning.
Ivy and Evie clap for their leader, big smiles across their faces.
OTK: But if anyone tries to interrupt this session then we will use whatever force we deem...
Before he can finish his sentence, a dozen security guards come racing down the entrance ramp. They surround the ring as OTK barks instructions at his comrades. As the guards roll in, ROTTEN charge forward, stomping away at the first to enter but they are quickly outnumbered. OTK goes to throw his brick but a guard manages to grab his arm and twists it behind his back. The group is lost amidst the sea of security but they struggle nonetheless, limbs flailing wildly as they are dragged out onto the entrance ramp and restrained face down. The cheers of the crowd can barely mask the profanity-strewn vitriol from ROTTEN. With their arms now zip wire-tied, the group is marched into the back and the show can go on as planned.

Helena Noir, The Pride (Chase Hunter & JD), Alex Reeves & Melanie vs Cole King, Pepper Precious Vain, Scotty Latimer, Kendrick Kross & Xavier Laroux
RECAP The WarGames match starts off with four competitors, two on each time. On Team Liberty is Helena Noir and Jacob Daniels. For Team GEW, is Xavier Laroux and Cole King. The bell rings and the WarGames begins with Jacob and Cole charging towards each other, while Helena and Xavier meet on the other side. On one end, Jacob has Cole in a headlock while Xavier tries to hit Helena with his pop up powerbomb on the early going but she takes him out with a quick hurricanrana. Jacob pulls Cole down and starts to pummel her in the face but Cole counters with a rake to the eyes of Jacob. Cole sprints towards Jacob and takes him out with a knee strike. She then turns towards Noir and tries to turn her attention to her but Jacob Daniels is back up and he levels King with a big boot. Helena watches this go down and is distracted, giving Xavier the chance to shove her towards the ropes and when she bounces back, he takes her out with Narcoterrorism (Bicycle Knee Strike). With Cole and Helena Noir both out, Jacob and Xavier collide in the middle of the ring. The two men who have gone to war many times over the years, even over heavyweight championships, throw strike after strike at each other before Jacob gets the lead. Jacob lifts Xavier up for a suplex but Xavier drops behind Jacob before kicking him in the nuts. Jacob drops to his knees, holding onto his midsection before Xavier picks him up. Xavier then throws Jacob to the ropes and he pops Jacob up in the air and hits another Detroit Is Burning. Xavier Laroux is the only man standing in the ring when the timer for the next participant in the match starts to count down, with the crowd counting down as well. 5… 4… 3… 2… 1… And it’s Alex Reeves who is making her entrance down to the ring with a steel chair in hand. She sprints down and the referee unlocks the door to the massive cage that is covering two rings. Alex enters the ring and Xavier charges her but Alex slams the end of the chair into Xavier’s gut. Xavier keels over and Alex slams the chair into his back. Xavier crashes to the canvas before Alex picks him up and throws him over the ropes into the second ring. Alex goes to follow Xavier but Cole King grabs her from behind and drops Alex with a reverse DDT. King then grabs the chair and goes to slam it onto Alex’s head but Jacob grabs it from behind. Cole turns and Jacob throws the chair into her hands and Cole catches it. Jacob follows it up with a big boot into the chair, colliding it into Cole’s face. Cole falls to the canvas. Jacob helps Alex up and the two begin to double team Cole with several stomps and kicks. Helena gets up and enters the other side of the ring to stay on top of Xavier. She picks him up and whips him into the turnbuckle before charging him and hitting him with a spear into the corner. Helena waits for Xavier to get up and when he does, she charges him and hits him with her Fondu Au Noir Cradle DDT and Xavier tumbles to the canvas in a heap. Meanwhile on the other side of the ring, Jacob slingshots Cole straight into the cage and when Cole crashes down to the canvas, Alex leaps off of the turnbuckle and hits Cole with a double foot stomp to the chest. Team Liberty has complete control of the match when the two minute timer gets to five and the countdown begins. 5… 4… 3… 2… 1… The next entrant for Team GEW is out next and it’s none other than the Anarchy Champion, Precious Pepper Vain! She sprints down to the ring with a shopping cart full of weapons as the referee opens the door. Precious throws in several chairs, a chain, a trash can and a kendo stick into the ring. She then grabs a barbed wire 2X4 from the cart and gets into the ring. Jacob charges her but Precious slams the barbed wire 2X4 into his face, cutting him open before he hits the canvas. Alex goes for a superkick on Precious but she ducks it and she slams the 2X4 into Alex’s back. Precious then hits the top rope and hits Jacob with her Collapsing Star. Jacob is bleeding from taking the 2x4 shot earlier and PPV can do nothing but laugh. She helps Cole up and tells her to focus on Alex and Jacob before she grabs the kendo stick she threw into the ring and walks over and enters the other ring. Before Helena can counter Precious, Precious slams the kendo stick across her face and the fans are in disbelief at the crackling sound. Helena goes crashing hard to the canvas before Precious helps Xavier up and hands him the kendo stick. Xavier starts to slam the kendo stick on Helena’s back over and over, leaving red marks there as Precious goes to the other ring and helps Cole do work on Alex and Jacob. Cole is putting in work on Alex as Precious picks Jacob up but Jacob starts to fight Precious off as the two battle back and forth. Once again the timer is winding down as the crowd counts along… 5… 4… 3… 2… 1… Team Liberty member and former Anarchy Champion, Melanie, runs down the ramp towards the ring. As Melanie approaches the cage door. Precious Pepper Vain, who is locked up with Jacob Daniels, starts throwing haymakers to beat Jacob off of her. Jacob fends off Precious’s assault but steps out of the way, giving her a clear path to Melanie who just stepped into the ring. Precious doesn’t even hesitate, she charges towards Melanie, ready to spear her opponent only Jacob’s offer of a free shot wasn’t legit. He hooks Precious around the waist and heaves her over his head, over the ropes and into the cage with a brutal belly to back release suplex. As Precious crumbles to the canvas, all tangled in the ropes, Jacob points down at her and laughs. Then Jacob grabs Precious by one hand and drags her out of the ropes where both he and Melanie begin stomping away at her mercilessly. Xavier and Cole both see the two on one assault but are unable to break out of the current situations to lend a hand. Xavier tries to get to Precious but Helena Noir takes him out with a chair that had been brought into the match earlier. Cole meanwhile is having problems with Alex Reeves and as soon as it looks like he’s about to get the upper hand, Helena comes in to help Alex and they both take Cole out by grabbing both of his hands and whipping him up and into the steel cage. Alex grabs King’s head and shoves it into the cage once more for good measure as Helena goes back to continuing her assault on Xavier, stomping down onto his back and head several times. Helena then climbs the top rope and leaps off and drives her elbow straight into Xavier’s back as Team Liberty has full control of the match so far but can’t get a pin until all ten participants are in the match. Jacob pulls a beaten and bloodied Precious to her feet before locking in a full nelson. He nods towards Melanie who pulls out a pair of brass knuckles. Melanie adopts a ready stance and winds up to throw a wicked haymaker towards Precious’s jaw, only Precious mule kicks and hits Jacob with a low blow, causing him to release the hold. Precious darts out of the way but Melanie is able to stop just short of Jacob’s jaw before he crumples to the canvas, holding his crotch after the low blow. As Melanie looks down at Jacob, Precious grabs her from behind and plants her with a full nelson facebuster. Wasting no time, Precious rolls Melanie over, straddles her and rains down punches while screaming at her. Melanie does her best to defend but she’s still dazed from the facebuster. Precious continues to get the better of her but it’s short lived as Jacob struggles to his feet and nails Precious with a HUGE big boot to the jaw that knocks her off of Melanie. Jacob then collapses back down, holding his junk while taking a moment to catch his breath as both Melanie and Precious try to get their wits about them. The countdown clock begins again. 5… 4… 3… 2… 1… The fourth member of Team GEW now makes their way down to the ring and it’s none other than Kendrick Kross. Kendrick springs down to the ring with a fire extinguisher. He gets inside of the ring and Helena Noir charges him but Kendrick sprays her with the extinguisher, blinding the Liberty Champion. Helena stumbles to her feet and Kendrick slams the extinguisher into her head, knocking her out and busting her open. Alex takes the opportunity to leap off of the top rope and take Kendrick out with a missile dropkick that connects with the extinguisher, making it crash into Kendrick’s face. Alex goes to go to work on Kendrick still but Xavier catches her with a punch to the face that completely obliterates her. The camera then catches Xavier and it’s now clear that he has one of the chains that entered the match earlier wrapped around his fist. Xavier begins to stomp on Alex before a recovered Jacob takes him out from behind with the kendo stick that was being used earlier, sending Xavier over the ropes. Jacob then enters the other side of the ring with Xavier and goes to work on him. Cole King grabs Alex and lifts her up and throws her toward the steel cage, which she collides into. Cole grabs her and does it a second time and Alex is stumbling around on her feet. Cole grabs her to throw her into the cage a third time but Alex bites Cole’s arm hard, showing her aggressive side. Cole yells out in pain before letting go and Alex kicks her in the gut before dropping her with a DDT. Kendrick is back up and he takes Alex out with a superkick. He then gets into the other side of the ring and he grabs Jacob away from Xavier and drives a knee into his gut. Kendrick then lifts Jacob up and him and Xavier hit a double powerbomb on the multiple time heavyweight champion. Suddenly the countdown begins again. 5… 4… 3… 2… 1… Chase Hunter is the last member of his team to make his way down to the two rings surrounded by the cage and he has a barbed wire bat in his hand and the bat says “Detroit Tigers” on it, it’s clearly repping where Chase is from. He gets to the ring and is let in by the referee before the referee shuts the door. Precious has Melanie down and she gets up once she sees Chase but he slams the bat into her stomach and Precious falls back down next to Melanie. Cole sees Chase and charges him but Hunter slams his barbed wire bat into Cole’s midsection before slamming her in the back with it. Xavier and Kendrick don’t notice Chase as they continue to work over Jacob in the other ring. Chase and Helena both get into the other side of the ring and Chase slams the bat into the back of Kendrick as Helena takes Xavier out with an impaler. Chase then slams the bat onto Xavier’s chest for good measure. CHase Hunter goes to the other side of the ring and helps Alex up to her feet. He hands his bat to her as Helena and Jacob are now working over Kendrick and Xavier in the other ring. Alex goes to slam the bat into Cole’s back but she rolls out of the way and has the fire extinguisher in hand. King sprays Chase and Alex with it, blinding both of them as she was playing possum. Cole grabs a trash can and she throws it on top of Chase’s head. She then grabs the bat and begins to hit Chase with it over and over, indenting the trash can in the process as Chase drops to the canvas. Cole continues to work Chase over when Alex Reeves comes out of nowhere and slams a steel chair and slams it into Cole’s back. Finally, the countdown begins one last time. 5… 4… 3… 2… 1… The fifth and final member of Team GEW and the last man in the match is Scotty Latimer He makes his way down to the ring, holding a table in each of his hands. Scotty throws the tables into the ring before getting in himself. Alex is still working over Cole and she doesn’t notice Scotty coming up behind her and he slams a chair into Alex’s back. Scotty then gets into the other side of the ring and he helps Xavier and Kendrick fight off Helena Noir and Jacob Daniels, giving them a numbers game. Xavier and Kendrick double team Jacob, hitting him with a double suplex as Scotty takes Helena out with a german suplex that sends her flying across the ring. In the other ring, Chase’s bat is lying on the canvas, an equal distance from both Precious and Melanie as they struggle to their knees. They make eye contact with the bat and then with each other and the race is on! Both of them push to their feet and dive for the bat but when the smoke clears and they both regain their footing the bat is squarely in Precious’s hands. She smiles twirling the bat in a circle before pointing it towards Melanie. Melanie’s eyes widen but her focus dials in as instead of backing down she waves for Precious to bring it. PPV rushes forward and swings the bat at Melanie but Melanie’s survival instincts kicks in and she leaps towards Pepper Vain, screwing up Precious’s trajectory and catching the bat under her arm so that she’s got it trapped just above the handle where Precious’s hands are holding it. Melanie grimaces from taking the blunt of the barbed wire shot to the ribs but now that she has the bat locked in place she headbutts Precious hard in the forehead, splitting Precious’s already bloody head even more. Precious staggers but doesn’t release the bat so Melanie follows with another headbutt, this time the force knocks Precious to her knees and leaves Melanie a little woozy. Once Melanie recovers she pulls the bat from beneath her arm and with both hands raises it high over her head, ready to bring it crashing down into Precious’s bloody skull. Melanie draws a deep breath and winds up but just as the bat’s about to come crashing down, Scotty Latimer comes out of nowhere and hits Melanie with his Final Wave! Latimer makes the quick cover for a count of three, making Melanie the first elimination in the match and giving Team GEW an edge with one extra person on their team. ELIMINATED: Melanie Precious looks up at Scotty with a devilish grin before she grabs the bat and hits Melanie in the midsection. Melanie rolls to her stomach and Precious slams it into her back before the referee makes Precious back off. She pushes through them and hits Melanie one last time before backing away and Melanie is pulled from the match in a heap and the fans are booing Pepper Vain. Precious and Scotty then get up and set the two tables next to each other side by side. Before they can use them, Chase and Alex come from behind and Alex tackles down Precious. Alex picks Precious up and slams her face first into the cage over and over. Chase meanwhile is choking Scotty with a kendo stick that he picked up. Chase then stops choking Scotty before he slams the kendo stick over his back several times, leaving massive red marks on the big man’s back. Kendrick Kross comes into the other side of the ring to assist Scotty, taking Chase out with a big boot but he doesn’t see Alex, now with a chair and she slams it across the side of Kendrick’s head. He’s knocked out as he crumbles to the mat and Alex pins him. ELIMINATED: Kendrick Kross While Alex is busy eliminating Kendrick Kross, we have Cole King working on Chase Hunter. Cole has the Detroit Tigers bat that Hunter had brought into the match and she yells out, ‘THIS IS FOR NEW YORK!’ And she hits Chase in the head with the bat, taking the big man down as the thud is heard across the arena. Cole pins Hunter and the referee starts the count and it goes to three! ELIMINATED: Chase Hunter Alex goes to save the pin but shows up too late and Hunter is eliminated. Alex is going wild on Cole now, throwing several punches her way, keeping her down. She then locks Cole up in her submission finisher but PPV throws a chair on top of Alex and then comes flying off of the turnbuckle with her collapsing star and she takes Reeves out! PPV then pins Alex and the count hits three! Allex Reeves is done but PPV took a brunt of that move by dropping down onto the chair. ELIMINATED: ALEX REEVES It’s now Precious Pepper Vain, Scotty Latimer, Xavier Laroux and Cole King up against Jacob Daniels and Helena Noir, who are in the other ring. Jacob has managed to get his hands on a chain, which he’s wrapped around his fist, as Helena has managed to get her hands on a chair. They scream for Xavier and Cole to bring it, as they are the two on their team still standing. Xavier and Cole get into the second ring and before they can do anything, Jacob lays out Cole with a shot to the face with his chain wrapped around his fist. Helena slams the chair into Xavier’s head but while this went on, Precious got up. She climbed the cage and before Helena and Jacob could notice, Precious leaped off and took Helena and Jacob out with a wicked cross body splash and the fans began to chant, “holy shit! Holy shit!” Scotty is back up to his feet and is the only man standing with all the carnage that has gone on. He grabs Jacob and throws him into the other ring. Meanwhile, Xavier Laroux picks up Chase’s Detroit Tigers bat that’s still in the ring. He lines up Helena Noir, who is still getting up to her feet. As Xavier goes to swing it, JD shoves Cole King in the way and she takes the shot to the face from the bat. Xavier looks in surprise before Helena hits Xavier with a kick to the gut her cradle DDT. Helena then collapses down onto Cole King and gets the three count, eliminating her, but Team GEW still has a three on two advantage. ELIMINATED: Cole King Precious is still out of it from her leap from the top of the cage as Helena gets into the other side of the ring. She grabs a chair and slams it into Scotty’s head, knocking him off of Jacob, who he was doing work to. Helena and Jacob are clearly exhausted as they were the first to entrants of the match. Xavier is now up to his feet and he enters the other side with the kendo stick, slamming it across Helena’s back and snapping it in half. Xavier then grabs Jacob and whips him into the ropes. When he comes back, X goes for his Narcoterrorism but JD ducks it! WHen he turns, JD levels him with a superman punch. JD then grabs X and drops him with Bombs Away (Scoop Lift Spun Out into a Reverse STO). Jacob pins Xavier and picks up the three count, eliminating Xavier, who had lasted as long in the match as Jacob and Helena up until now. ELIMINATED: Xavier Laroux The match is now a two versus two with Helena and JD going up against Scotty and PPV. Jacob is going to pick Scotty up but Precious is back up to her feet and she pulls Jacob off of him. The two fight back and forth, trading blow after blow but Jacob starts to get the lead as he hits Precious with several right hooks. Jacob grabs Precious and nails her with Bombs Away (Scoop Lift Spun Out into a Reverse STO). Before he can pin her, Scotty grabs Jacob and hits him with The Final Wave. Before Scotty can pin Jacob, Helena comes out of nowhere and hits Scotty with a running knee strike. Noir stalks over Latimer and when he gets up to his hands and knees, she hits him with a running single leg dropkick. Helena pins Scotty but he kicks out before the three count. All four competitors lie there for a moment before Helena gets up and grabs a chair. Precious gets up and Helena decks her with the chair. Scotty gets back up again and he hits Helena with another Final Wave but before he can pin, Jacob comes out of nowhere and he nails Scotty with a spear. Jacob is about to pin Scotty but Precious is back up and she grabs Jacob and drops him with a cutter right on top of a chair that was lying on the canvas. Precious pins Jacob and gets the three count, eliminating him from the match and leaving Helena Noir on her own against Scotty and Precious. ELIMINATED: Jacob Daniels Before Precious can make a move, Helena slams her in the face with a chair. Helena then grabs PPV and rolls her onto one of the tables that had been set up earlier. She then slams the chair onto Scotty a few times for good measure before she picks him up and puts him on the second table. Helena then looks up towards the top of the cage and the fans are going absolutely wild. Helena starts to climb the cage before she gets to the top. She looks down at Precious and Scotty before she sets up for a shooting star press! Helena leaps off and performs the move to perfection as she falls down fifteen feet and lands on Precious as Scotty manages the strength to roll out of the way! Helena stays on top of Precious and the referee begins the count and he counts to three, eliminating the Anarchy Champion. ELIMINATED: Precious Pepper Vain The fans are going nuts as Precious is dragged out of the ring by medical officials. The match is down to just Helena Noir and Scotty Latimer and the pitch of the crowd is at an all time high. Helena and Scotty both stumble to their feet and trade blows. Scotty manages to get an advantage before he whips Noir towards the ropes. She comes back and takes him out with a shining wizard but she doesn’t make the pin as she lies there, catching her breath after hitting the move in desperation. Helena struggles towards Scotty and gets an arm over him and the referee makes the count before Scotty manages to kick out just before the three. The fans are going nuts as Helena looks on in shock but Scotty has had the slight advantage, as he was the last entrant for his team and Helena was one of the first four who started the match. Helena manages to get to her feet first, using the ropes to pick herself up. She holds herself up with the top rope as the fans are going nuts. She yells at Scotty to get up and he finally begins to stir. When Scotty gets to his feet, Helena charges him and goes for her big time desperation move, the Dalecarlian Horse! She charges but NO! Scotty catches her and turns it into The Final Wave (Bladrunner). Scotty drops down onto Helena Noir and pins her and the referee makes the count before counting to three. The bell rings and Team GEW are announced the winners of WarGames. ELIMINATED: Helena Noir The bell rings as Nathan Callaghan and Ms. Campbell are both standing at the top of the ramp clapping. Jade Night then steps forward and looks at Nathan and Cambell, uneasily but Jade reminds the two that while GEW won the main event, Liberty won more matches, six to five. Nathan reminds Jade that he still gets to keep on directly working with Ms. Cambell when it comes to Liberty and GEW relations, causing Jade to roll her eyes. Inside of the ring, Scotty Latimer picks up Helena’s Liberty Championship and holds it in the air. He then tells her he’s coming for it and drops it over her as GEW reigns victorious in the big WarGames match. The show then fades out.
