MATCH ONE: HANDICAP
Joss & Dex Morant vs Donovan Rich
Joss & Dex Morant vs Donovan Rich
RECAP This match was one where Joss and Dex really wanted to show that they had been putting in the work. They used teamwork to keep Donovan in their corner, working the big man over and showing off their chemistry as brother and sister. Eventually, Rich took the lead of the match when he knocked Joss off of the apron. He turned at a charging Dex but Donovan caught him in a sidewalk slam! He pinned him but Dex kicked out. Rich tried a few more pinning attempts but Dex kept kicking out. Rich yelled at the referee, telling him that he’s getting paid to slow count! He then went and lifted Dex up for a powerbomb. While Dex was on Donovan’s shoulder, Joss leaped in the air from her corner as Dexter reached towards her and she tagged in. Rich hit his powerbomb finish but the referee didn’t start the count! Donovan was livid! The referee tried to explain that Joss had tagged herself in. Once Donovan realized what had happened, it was too late and Joss Morant leveled him with Sin City Escape - Flipping seated senton (aka Molly Go Round). She pinned Rich and got the three count for herself and her brother! WINNER Joss & Dex Morant METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 7:10 FINISHING MOVE Sin City Escape |
BACKSTAGE
We cut backstage to find Oliver Thurston-Knott slouched in a leather sofa once again. He is wearing his usual leather jacket and jeans, hair untamed. Beside him is Clara, the immaculate blonde, who is reading from a dossier. OTK runs his hand along her thigh, his hand grazing against the edge of her skirt.
OTK: What do you think?
Clara: I think.. I don't want to wait ten years.
He laughs, shaking his head from side to side.
OTK: I'm ambitious, baby, but Rome wasn't burned in a day.
She puts down the dossier on a table as the camera zooms in on its title - "The Ten Year Plan" - before drawing back out.
Clara: But there is one thing...
OTK: Yeah?
Clara: I trust you completely. Obviously. But how can we trust these other cells?
His brow furrows, leaning forward to look at her eye to eye.
Clara: We don't really know who is leading those operations, we haven't even MET them. Are they competent?
OTK: Our contact with them has to be minimal. It's the only way.
She sighs heavily.
OTK: If one of these cells is infiltrated by the FBI or whatever then it's too bad but at least the rest of us can press on. If we're all in regular contact, sharing information, coordinating plans, then one infiltration could bring down the whole revolution.
Clara: Yeah. I know. It's just.. I don't feel comfortable relying on anyone other than ourselves.
OTK: I like to think those who have reached our perspective will be equally proficient in executing it.
Clara: We hope.
Oliver smiles, taking his lover's hand and kissing it.
OTK: One day, we're going to - He's interrupted by a door flying open in the background.
OTK and Clara turn quickly as a tall, gaunt man enters. He is dressed in a bright yellow wifebeater, arms covered in tattoos and his bleached hair as unkempt as Oliver's own. He nods at the pair.
Clara: Who the hell are you?
OTK: This is Sad Max. I should have mentioned we have a new recruit.
She looks the newcomer up and down with narrowed eyes then turns back to Oliver.
Clara: Where do you find these people?
Before OTK can respond, Max steps forward with his hand raised.
Max: Hey lady, I can hear you. I don't wanna get off on the wrong foot but like -
OTK: Stop talking now.
The new recruit rolls his eyes but does as he's told. Clara smirks.
OTK: Thanks for coming but first, learn to knock. Second, I'm sending you down to Independence Pro with Huck. Spread the message, continue our growth. You may well be required on Freedom or Liberation as well so await my instructions.
Max: Right, sure... so what am I doing tonight?
OTK: Hang around, I might have a job for you. We'll see what happens.
The ROTTEN leader glances over at his Tag Team Championship belt slung over the back of a steel chair.
Clara: Kash, Banks and Vega.
Max: Weren't they on the YMCMB roster?
Oliver snorts, running his hands through his hair.
OTK: You only live once. Max: I actually died in December. The paramedics brought me back to life.
Clara: Don't waste this one, eh?
OTK: Oh, we'll make sure that doesn't happen.
We suddenly cut to static.

Tim Anderson catches up with Lizzie Jones backstage. She’s not exactly thrilled by it, either, but she graces him with her presence for a few moments.
Tim: “Lizzie, glad to catch you, I was hoping to ask about tonight’s match. You’re due to team with Helena Noir and Jord-”
He stutters to a stop as she pulls the microphone toward herself.
Lizzie: “Shut up, Tim, let me ask the questions. First up, wasn’t Strange Bedfellows back in January? Yet here we are, doing the dance again, this time with trios? “
She scoffs.
Lizzie: “All this does,Timmy, is proves facing Dexter Morant meant nothing, which I knew beforehand. It means Strange Bedfellows itself meant nothing, even though I won both of those matches. Do I get a title shot? Of course not, I get jammed into a tag randomness.”
A shrug, there’s no disguising her feelings.
Tim: “Well no, not yet, but surely a win here will help your cla-”
She fully removes the microphone from his grip now.
Lizzie: “My claim? Really? Who here has a better claim than I do at taking Kaia on next? Just me and her, 1v1. Well? Who?”
Of course, she doesn’t offer him the microphone back and he is smart enough to stay quiet.
Lizzie: “Whatever, you want me thoughts? Yay for tag trios, boo for my opposition team, blah aaaaaaaand etc. We’re done!”
She drops the microphone and heads off, leaving Tim to pick up the pieces.

MATCH TWO: TAG CHAMPIONSHIPS
ROTTEN RULES
Kasey Kash, Julio Banks & Brady Vega vs ROTTEN
ROTTEN RULES
Kasey Kash, Julio Banks & Brady Vega vs ROTTEN
RECAP Kash, Banks and Vega were all standing in the middle of the ring when OTK stood at the top of the entrance way. He had a microphone in hand and the tag team championships on each shoulder as he pointed toward the ring. OTK: It’s ROTTEN RULES, as always. You three? You have to fight ALL of ROTTEN in a hardcore match with me as the referee. Suddenly surrounding the ring was all of ROTTEN. Micaela, Huck, Sad Max from earlier, Cassius Curry, EVERYONE! Kasey, Julio and Brady had no idea what to do but they were surrounded in the ring with a plethora of people who had weapons. First it was Kash who was laid out by Micaela, who cracked him over the head with a bat! Julio tried to escape but the big man, Sad Max, grabbed him and chokeslammed him onto a trash can. All that was left was Brady Vega, who was sprayed with a fire extinguisher from Huck. OTK slowly made his way to the ring with Clara by his side, and trailing behind him was an automated chair that had the laptop that Rory was watching from on it. OTK soon rolled into the ring as he walked over to Brady Vega and placed his boot on top of his chest. OTK: You’re the referee now, Max. Make the count. Max dropped down and counted to three and the bell rang!! ROTTEN were still the Liberty Tag Team Champions. They celebrated as OTK and Clara celebrated in the middle of the ring with a kiss. OTK then raised the mic up to his mouth one more time. OTK: You think this is something? It’s nothing. Like I said earlier, Rome didn’t burn in one day. All of this? Is just a taste of what’s to come. Heed my warnings. We are ROTTEN and we can’t be stopped. He dropped the microphone and they kept celebrating as they threw their three opponents out of the ring and the scene cut away. The feed cuts to backstage where Jennifer Yang is taping her fists as she gets ready for her match against Jacob Daniels. As usual, she looks focused but there’s a different air about her tonight. A sort of nervous energy that no doubt feeds on her worries, not just about her opponent with a reputable record but also her current rival Alex Reeves.
Jennifer Yang: I’ve seen what Jacob Daniels is capable of and so I hope I’ve prepared enough to overcome whatever he’ll be throwing at me in the ring. It will be no easy feat, I’m sure, but it’s one I’m willing to give everything I’ve got to ensure victory.
She shifts her body weight from foot to foot, partly trying to kick away the nerves.
Jennifer Yang: But that’s not all I’m planning to do. Unlike last week, this time, I’ll be more careful about where my back is facing. I don’t want to get caught by Alex again. Instead of laying down a direct challenge, she chose to blindside me. Attacked me when I was not looking.
She shakes her head.
Jennifer Yang: Well, you’ve got my full attention now, Alex. What are you going to do about it? Strike me when I’m down next?
She gets closer to the camera.
Jennifer Yang: Or face me like a woman this time so we can settle this once and for all?
With a serious look, she puts up her taped fists in a fighting stance before the scene fades to black.

BACKSTAGE
The cameras open to similar metal panels adorning a hallway, with LED lights that strobe both sides and illuminate the hall with certain ominous flickers. The same vision we had the previous week only it is seen from a different perspective. If it weren’t a real place this would seem like a fantasy of sorts from a sci-fi meets horror movie, yet all we see is the back of high heeled pumps echoing across the floor, before climbing up to the top of the head of Liberty’s own Kaia Grainger.
She seems hesitant to knock on the door as we hear rummaging coming from behind it before we see her turn and look towards the camera and then look away again as if it weren’t there at all and we were watching this in secret. Sliding a hand through her hair, she wears an all white ensemble that seems to gleam in the darkness of the hallway before finally the door opens up only for the camera to follow it further inside. A number on the doorways frame as Kaia ducks inside.
Behind the lens is a woman, whose now gray hair has turned and almost white, of Native American descent it seems as Kaia comes inside to sit.
Woman: “You are troubled”
The woman states as we see Kaia’s face turn towards her. A somber expression appearing.
Kaia Grainger: “Only slightly.”
She states before folding her hands together to sit in her lap, very prim and proper as she always appeared to be.
Kaia Grainger: “There’s a change in the light and I feel it coming and yet there seems to be not much I can do about it.”
She responds and while most of the time she wouldn’t be so forward with some of the beliefs she holds onto she seems to be gesturing to something more personal.
Woman: “Not a change in the light. . . A change in you.”
She speaks, as Kaia listens to the vague and obscure reference being made, the camera doesn’t stay much longer to explain exactly what she means.

We cut backstage and Donovan Rich is Standing outside of Liam Callaghan’s Office.
Donovan Rich: Damn. I blew it again….
The big man is pacing back and forth. Clearly growing more irritable the longer he waits, Rich decides that he’s waited long enough and swings the door wide open.
Donovan Rich: Liam bruh look…..
The Free Agent abruptly stops talking. And the camera pans around to the desk in the center of the office. Sitting at the desk is Liam of course and leaning on a corner of the desk is Ari Parker. Both have wide eyed expressions on their face due to Donovan storming in unannounced. A grown is painted on Rich’s face and he starts taking deep breaths.
Donovan Rich: Yo! What is this? You got me out there fighting for my damn Livelihood bruh. And you in here trying to get in some pants?!
Donovan slings a stack of folders off the desk. Ari hops up from where she was sitting and backs away from the altercation. Rich grabs a nearby monitor and slams it on the ground.
Donovan Rich: I’m trying to feed my daughter. And you in her what? Trying to bust a nut? You lucky none of those matches was against you. I’d happily beat your ass for a contract.
Liam stood up, his usual calm demeanor washes away as his eyes are on fire.
Liam Callaghan: What the fuck? We’re just friends talking. But this is what you want to do? Come in here and make assumptions? Fuck you!
Liam starts to walk towards Donovan but Ari stops him.
Ari Parker: Liam, he isn’t worth it. Stop.
She looks over and rolls her eyes at Donovan. Liam takes a deep breath and exhale before nodding.
Liam Callaghan: You’re right.
He looks over at Rich now.
Liam Callaghan: You said you wanted a match? You’ve got it. This is your last opportunity in Liberty. If you lose? You’re gone forever. No more chances. Not on Liberation or Freedom. You’re done.
Donovan smiles and nods his head. The Heftyweight straightens his shirt, smoothing some of the wrinkles out of them. He backs away towards the door eyes locked on Liam the entire time.
Donovan Rich: Say no more. That’s all I needed to hear. You don’t know who you messing with. You done had you’re little laugh week after week. We’ll see who’s laughing once I get my hands on you.
Donovan backs out of the rooms and slams the door shut leaving a surprised looking Ari, and an angry Liam left in the mess of an office.

MATCH THREE: SINGLES
Jennifer Yang vs Jacob Daniels
Jennifer Yang vs Jacob Daniels
RECAP At the sound of the bell Yang tries to use her speed with rapid attacks and keeping distance. A series of quick, swift kicks to Daniels knee starts to slow down the big man slightly but seems to enrage him more so. Yang then makes the mistake of lingering too close to Daniels who rocks Jennifers jaw with a huge big boot. Jacob keeps on the pressure by steamrolling Yang in the corner with a huge clothesline. Daniels then tosses Yang from the ring. Daniels jaws with the official for a moment before sliding out of the ring after Jennifer Yang, who is slowly getting to her feet. Daniels goes for a body avalanche but Yang moves and pushes Daniels into the ring post. Jennifer doesn't lose a step as she whips Daniels into the guardrail. Yang takes a moment to try to hype up the fans but gets speared into the ring apron by Daniels who only seems to be more angry after Yang attacked him. Jacob rolls in to break the officials count. Once back outside the ring, Daniels throws Yang against the guardrail, leaving her in a clumped pile. Jacob pulls Jennifer to her feet only to chokeslam her on the thin mats outside of the ring. A sick smile comes to Daniels face as he now drags Yang back into the ring and makes a quick cover that only gets a two count. Daniels lifts Yang up and drives her down with a tilt-a-whirl slam that leaves Jennifer holding her back in pain. Daniels quickly follows up with three hard elbow drops across Yangs chest. Rather than make the cover, Daniels boots at the head of Yang in a mocking manner as Jennifer Yang barely stirs on the canvas. JD then goes for a big boot as she stirs but Yang ducks it and gets JD with her #YANGVICTORY (Victory roll from anywhere, can be used as a finisher). She holds on tight and gets the three count!!! JD looks shocked but he simply shakes his head and leaves the ring. They then checked on Jenni as Reeves laughed. Alex then walked to the ring, ready for her upcoming match. |
BACKSTAGE
The camera fades to TJ Techniques, who is seen exiting one of the locker room doors backstage. The Freedom Champion turns and doubles a double take when he sees the camera in his face.
Cameraman: TJ! TJ! can I get a couple of quick words with the champion?
TJ Techniques: Of course. You know I always have time for the people. What's good?
TJ motions for the cameraman to back up a bit. Once the cameraman is at a comfortable distance, TJ readjusts the Freedom Championship on his shoulder while he fields the question.
Cameraman: So, we all remember the friendly wager last week between yourself, Kaia Granger and Mighty Sparrow...
TJ Techniques: Boy do we ever...
TJ tries to stifle his laughter before the cameraman continues.
Cameraman: The winner of the match got to pick the loser's theme song. You won the match and now Sparrow has to come out to the theme of your choosing. But I've got to ask. Are you really going to make Sparrow come out to the Backstreet Boys?
TJ Techniques: You damn right I am! Hey, I was all good with me, Sparrow and Kaia going out there and having a great match. And that's exactly what we did. But my man Sparrow was the one that wanted to spice things up and make a stipulation. So as as far as I'm concerned, sorry Sparrow, but you're gonna have to hold that L. Besides, did you see what he was gonna have me coming out to if I lost? Country, man. Country. Now country's aight. It's cool, it's cool. But that ain't exactly my bag, you know? I mean, the least he coulda done was hooked me up with some Luke Bryan or one of these newer country acts. Hell, I would have even accepted Honkytonk Badonkadonk. But this match was gonna stick me with Tracy Byrd's "Lifestyles of the Not So Rich and Famous". Come on, bruh.!I can't get busy to that. I can't bob my head to that. But I know what he can bob his head to: so BSB, baby!
TJ lets out a cackle before composing himself.
TJ Techniques: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. That was uncalled for.
Cameraman: You're never going to let him live this down, are you?
TJ Techniques: Absolutely not...
The cameraman tries to stifle his laughter before TJ continues.
TJ Techniques: Oh yeah and uh, correct me if I'm wrong, but there's no expiration date on this bet, right?
Cameraman: I don't believe so.
TJ Techniques: So that means that we could hear Sparrow coming out to "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" for a good minute, right?
Cameraman: It seems that way.
TJ Techniques: Well then I hope Sparrow's career here is a long and prosperous one!
Finally, TJ and the cameraman have a laugh over the situation.
TJ Techniques: Aye man. All jokes aside, Sparrow's my dude and I'm happy to be teaming with him tonight. Hopefully the results of this tag team match will be different than the last time we teamed up. But even just the match itself is different because this time, we got Kaia Granger in the house! That's right, people, you're looking at Freedom's Finest on one side of the ring. The King of New York, the United States Champion and the holder of Old Glory himself, the Freedom Champion. Standing across the ring from us are three people that are good in their own right. I'm talking about Lizzie Jones, the Mommy-Choker-Outer Jordan Parker-Kane and of course, Helena Noir. Now JPK, you already know how I feel about your you so I'm just gonna skip over you and zero in on hating ass Lizzie. That's right. Oh, you thought I forgot? You thought I forgot the slick shit that came out your mouth a couple of weeks back? If I'm remembering correctly - and my memory is getting pretty damn good - you laughed at the thought me winning that Elimination Chamber. You scoffed at the notion of me being a threat in the match. In your eyes, I wasn't worth the effort of you doing your due diligence. I wasn't worth being taken serious. Liz. Lizzie. Lisbeth. Let me ask you a question real quick. Just a simple question, this won't take long.
TJ slowly looks over to his Freedom Championship... then slowly looks back to the cameraman... then slowly looks back to his Freedom Championship... before slowly looking back to the camera.
TJ Techniques: Do you think you made a bad met there? But don't you worry. You have a chance to to make up for it tonight. Not only do you actually get a chance to beat me, but you also get to beat a team that also consists of the US Champ and the King of New York. Even if it's JPK or Helena that get the pin or the sub, bragging rights are on the line for you. So the question is, are you gonna step up to the plate? Do you have what it takes to defeat a team of not one, not two but three champions? I cannot wait to find out.
TJ Techniques: Then there's you, Helena. Once again I say it seems like the two of us are destined to do this. It's like the powers that be wanna see us face off in every combination imaginable. But I know what you want. You know what I want. The only match we both want to see is the two of us, one of one, with Old Glory on the line. We're gonna get what we both want very, very soon. But this right here? Tonight? It's just one last stop on the way to the match that every Freedom fan is dying to see. I exited the Chamber with this Championship by beating you. You got one over on me on the very next show in a Tag Match. We're gonna see which side comes out on top tonight.
A beat.
TJ Techniques: I hope that the opposition tonight is ready to catch fades and catch feelings, because that's on the agenda for Kaia, Sparrow and myself. We don't just wanna walk around and profile and pose as champions. We want to prove why we're worthy champions and going out there and dropping the three of you right where you stand will be how we do it. But it ain't gonna be easy because y'all won't make it easy. Good. We like that. We want the challenge. We accept the challenge that y'all are gonna bring and we'll meet it head on. But in the end, guys, in the end... it's gonna be the guys and gal with the gold that are left standing tall. Now peep that.
BACKSTAGE
Sparrow: Life is funny. One moment you’re goin’ out to the ring, expectin’ to do your level best and try and win a wager between you and two of the other champions, the workhorses of the Freedom brand at LIberty Pro...And the next minute... The next minute.
Mighty Sparrow until now has not been on camera. In fact he has been entirely narrating this out of view. The very second he prompts however, the camera tilts to the side on the KONY Champion...Who is...
...Dressed like a member of a boyband.
Okay, scratch that. He’s dressed like a member of a boyband stitched together some old performance gear and tried to turn it into what had to be only the vaguest idea of what a professional wrestler wears. Perhaps to his credit, Mighty Sparrow has decided that if he has to honor the bet made with TJ and Kaia? He has to go as they say... “all in”. His usual wrestling briefs? Instead of the usual black with flaming bird designs are just white on white embossed. Ring boots? A weird glossy white that matches his trunks in exact hue but not so much in material? Oh and let’s not forget the sleeveless white pleather number that was either stolen from a boyband member or a rhinestone cowboy. Your pick.
Of course he DOES have his championship with him, sitting at a jaunty angle on his shoulder.
Sparrow: ...The next minute you’re teaming with said champions, Kaia Grainger and TJ Techniques in a six-person match against all our opponents...Contenders really, for the titles. I would be remiss to not admit I am a bit worried. ...No, not because I chose to dress the part if I really goin’ to come out to Backstreet or...N*SYNC, or...Look whatever TJ has planned tonight, I’m doin’ it. No, no...I am a bit feelin’ the stress because of my particular opponent on the other team. Of course I’m all for challenge, but while Kaia has her eyes on Lizzy, and TJ on Helena... Jordan? Well, there’s one of two ways he might have taken recent events.
Tellingly? The King of New York refuses to actually put what those recent events are into the ether. Just like the last time he mentioned Jordan, Sparrow refuses to talk about the personal goings-on between of the “friends” Liam and Jordan’s wife Ari. Well...For the most part. He decides to talk around it because at this point it has to be addressed, if only in relation to his upcoming challenger.
Sparrow: Either it doesn’t do much for his upcoming performance, this bit of drama that, if you hear things neutrally, is just fluffed up...Or, and I suspect it really is the latter? Jordan will picture my boss’s face on my body tonight as well as at No Man’s Land II.
Pause for effect.
Sparrow: Which, y’know would be weird because Liam’s hair is nicer than mine, like it’s a good head of hair, if you get what I sayin’? I do think I have a nicer goatee--actually, has anyone ever seen Liam with a goatee? If he had an evil twin, what if they both shaved clean? Furthermo--
The champions rambling thoughts are interrupted as the man is set to challenge him for the KONY, Jordan Parker. In his ring gear and a plain black ts-hirt .
JPK: No, don't stop on my account. Please continue to tell everyone how I am and feeling. How I am going to react tonight. Your clearly very good at this prediction thing?
Sparrow watches him for a few moments, eyebrow quirked up. He shrugs his shoulders and mutters in a low tone, ‘I’m low on the batting averages, so you ain’t wrong if that was sarcasm’.
Sparrow: Well thanks for making it to the proceedings. I thought I would have to sit here and talk about nothing forever. Look, what you really want me to do? You’ve been kinda MIA talkin’ about our match comin’ up. Not that I don’t get why, but I don’t really wanna talk about your personal life and been tryna avoid it at all costs for the most part. Like...What do you wanna do? Ladder? Iron Man? What’s the play here?
Before Jordan can properly give an answer and the two men can have a conversation, security comes to keep them from one another. Whether the staff suspected the two were going to come to a heated argument before their match or this might have even been management’s doing is a whole other question but the camera quickly cuts away.

MATCH FOUR: SINGLES
Alex Reeves vs Chase Hunter
Alex Reeves vs Chase Hunter
RECAP The match started with Chase and Alex hooking up in the middle of the ring. Alex soon put Chase in a headlock before Chase shoved Alex into the ropes. Alex came back and went for a clothesline but Hunter ducked it and then hit the ropes himself. Alex turned and Chase dropped her with a hard clothesline. As Alex gets to her feet, Chase goes for another clothesline but she takes him out with a superkick. Chase stumbled up to his feet and Alex drove a knee into his gut before dropping him with an implant DDT. Alex goes for a pin but Chase refuses to stay down and the two get into a back and forth battle, trying to outdo the other until Chase dodges a second superkick attempt from Alex and slaps Alex into an effective hammerlock. Before Alex has a chance to attempt a reversal, Chase takes her out with a belly to belly suplex Hunter went for the cover but Alex kicked out at two, refusing to give up in the early going. Chase got up and stalked Alex, waiting for her to get up to her feet. Chase decided to climb the top rope, looking to go for something big, especially from someone of his size! Alex stirred and Chase leaped off of the turnbuckle but Alex saw it coming a mile away and she dropped Chase with a brutal enziguri counter that took Hunters head off. Alex goes for the cover but Chase managed to kick out at two. Alex picked Hunter up and whipped him to the ropes but he countered and whipped Alex instead. She bounced off of them and Chase connected with a cross body block that sent her to the floor and then Chase followed her out with a flip over the ropes just as Alex began to get up and Hunter took Reeves out, sending them both crashing to the ground. The referee begins to count the two out and Chase manages to get back into the right at the seven count. Alex made her way back in at the nine count, just before the ten. Chase picked Alex up and lifted her for a suplex but she countered and landed behind his back. Chase turned and Alex dropped him with an enziguri. Chase is out of it as Alex stepped back into the corner. Chase stood back up onto his feet and Alex charged, nailing Chase with a brutal Leaping leg lariat - All you Knee’d! She pins Chase and gets the three count and the win! WINNER Alex Reeves METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 12:19 FINISHING MOVE All You Knee’d POST MATCH Alex had her hand lifted in the air by the referee but she pulled it away and began to stomp away at Hunter. She then grabbed a chair again and went to work on the big man, looking to prove a point! But she didn’t see Jennifer limping to the ring. Jenni soon found a burst of energy as she got into the ring and she tackled Reeves! The two fought back and forth. Alex tried to counter but she couldn’t, Yang was on a mission! Yang nailed her with #BEHUMBLE (Wristlock springboard cutter)!!! Jennifer then collapsed to a seated position in exhaustion. She looked at Alex and shook her head. It’s clear things between the two are far from over. |
BACKSTAGE
Backstage we find Kaia Grainger ready for her match. She’s built up a smile and looks to be much more in tune with her own spirit than what we previously saw before. She looks lively and ready to go as she begins to speak.
Kaia Grainger: “Freedom, what’s good?! We’re here again in Boston, Mass to bring you another beautifully glorious show!”
Kaia begins bouncing in place, her hair tied into two braids as she wears a boxing like robe in her signature white, her title sitting on her waist as she lowers the hood of that robe down and she rolls her neck.
Kaia Grainger: “Tonight is another special show, because once again I’m sharing the ring with the boys, I’m talking TJ Techniques and The Mighty Sparrow, Only this time we’re on the same side and we aim to go mono y mono . . . or well tres y tres with the team of Lizzie Jones, Helena Noir, and JPK.”
Kaia smiled at this clearly ready for action.
Kaia Grainger: “I know these two guys, my fellow champions of Freedom know what’s up when it comes to this bought, they know we have to bring it and bring it hard, but then again last week’s showing showed you that we do exactly that each and every time we come to the ring. Call it whatever you like but this team is the team to beat.”
She paused momentarily before settling down.
Kaia Grainger: “As for the team of Lizzie Jones, Helena Noir, and Jordan Parker-Kane. You can’t deny their talent. Lizzie and I may not have the most agreeable of situations, but I think despite all the battles we’ve been through she knows just how proven I am and I know that she and I will meet again, just like we have been. As for Helena, she’s someone I admire and respect. Can’t hate her stride and I Know she’s looking to show us all that while some may think she’s had her time, she’s still got more than anyone has ever given her credit for. As for JPK, well lets just say I admire the guy. He made a pretty big come back and he’s looking to continue in his stride.”
There’s a brief shrug of her shoulders.
Kaia Grainger: “We know what’s coming next, we know we’re all prepping for the battles we’ll face at No Man’s Land II. The question is, who’s going to be striding into it with their hands raised tonight. I know I’m ready for this fight and those that have yet to come, because I plan on continuing this reign and remaining your United States Champion.”
She aims a balled up fist at the camera, but it isn’t at all close to connected before she jogs off ready to march on to the ring.

BACKSTAGE
Things open up with what appears to be the backstage area of the Matthews Arena, the oldest multi-purpose athletic building still in use in the world and the current home for Liberty's Freedom. The security camera catches Liberty Co-Owner, and acting GM for Freedom, Liam Callaghan walking down the hall. He is on his phone, talking to an unknown person. The camera isn't able to pick up anything that was said on the call. He stops just outside a door with his name on it, marking its designation for his office/dressing room.
The camera appears to adjust and focus on Liam as he stands outside the room as he finishes his call. After a few moments the light above him flowers, causing Liam to look up at. Liam appears to end the call as he's seen pocketing the phone, just as the fluorescent bulb flickers out, leaving the area just about the door in slight darkness. With an annoyed huff, Liam turns to open the door and the lights in the entire hallway start to flicker.
Liam looks back at the flickering lights, that all suddenly go off, using the hallway and the screen into total darkness. The sound of heavy breathing is heard over the speaker's, but no words were spoken.
"You Were Warned"
Flash across the screen as the lights in the hall come back on and Liam is half-sitting up against the opposite wall of his door, head slumped over. The door wide open papers all over the hall and coming from the open door. An overturned office chair half out the door. The chair is suddenly shoved out, slamming into the wall just next to Liam, breaking into pieces
From the office steps a hooded figure. Dressed in all black, with a black hoodie. The figure glares down at Liam for a.moment, before stalking away out of frame, the person's face never seen.

MAIN EVENT: SIX PERSON TAG
Mighty Sparrow, Kaia Grainger & TJ Techniques vs Lizzie Jones, Helena Noir & Jordan Parker-Kane
Mighty Sparrow, Kaia Grainger & TJ Techniques vs Lizzie Jones, Helena Noir & Jordan Parker-Kane
RECAP Lizzie Jones and TJ Techniques start this six person tag match off. The two meet in the middle of the ring, both talking to each other. A confident Lizzie Jones slaps Techniques across the face hard to the surprise of the crowd. TJ rubs his cheek with a grin, but after a moment the Freedom Champion hits a superkick, sending Jones to the mat! TJ goes for the cover but Helena Noir is into the ring, breaking the count up at two and saving her tag partner from defeat. TJ remained in control of Lizzie as he lifted her from the mat by her hair and hit a lightning quick suplex. Not satisfied, he lifted her again and this time hit a german suplex, folding Lizzie up and holding on for a pin. Fortunately for team of #1 contender’s, Lizzie's foot was near the ropes and Helena reached over, grabbing her foot and placing it on the rope, pointing it out to the referee who stopped counting. Techniques shouted at his teammates that they needed to have his back, but as his back was turned, Jones rose to her knees and hit a low blow on the champion of Freedom as Jordan Parker had the referee distracted. Lizzie ascended to where she was seated on the top rope where she hit a missile dropkick on TJ as he rose to his feet. Jones picked up a two count after. As Lizzie picked Techniques off the mat, he pushed her away and then hit a spinning forearm, sending her flying across the ring. TJ had the momentum when Kaia Grainger reached over the top rope, slapping the back of Techniques and forcing a tag. As Grainger entered the ring with a smile. TJ thought he had momentum but he gave Kaia a nod to go ahead. This momentary lapse though gave Lizzie the chance to tag in JPK! Parker stormed the ring and leveled Grainger with a clothesline to the back of her head. Techniques then stepped out of the ring and sighed as he got to his corner. Grainger fought back momentarily, but Parker was too strong, hitting a running DDT on Grainger. Parker went for the pin but Lizzie Jones yelled into the ring, instructing him that 'we aren't done' yet. Parker followed her instructions, lifting Grainger up and this time hitting a stalling suplex that drove all of the air out of Kaia upon slamming her down. Lizzie again gave orders, telling Parker to now go for a cover. This time the cover only equaled a two count. Grainger showed tenacity, firing off lefts and rights from her knees to the stomach of larger opponent, staggering him enough to create space for herself to make it to her feet. Kaia then ran and hit a spinning kick that sent Parker back into his corner. He reached his hand up, tagging in Helena Noir. Kaia Grainger held her lower back and turned, tagging in KONY Champion, Mighty Sparrow. Noir wasted no time in running Sparrow over with a shoulder tackle. Helena dropped an elbow onto the chest of Sparrow, picking up a two count after. Noir waited for Sparrow to rise to his feet and when he did, Noir connected with a running knee that caught Sparrow straight in the face but at the same time, Sparrow somehow pulled off a kick to Noir’s face at the same time. Both of them were out of it. Eventually they both made tags and in came Kaia and Lizzie Jones! The two battled but Parker became impatient and wanted to fight Mighty Sparrow, so he got in the ring and charged the corner and took him out. TJ Techniques was having none of this and he got in the ring and took out JPK with Set 'Em Straight (Busaiku Knee Strike)! TJ didn’t see Helena Noir in the ring now and she took out the Freedom Champion with her Fondu Au Noir DDT! Kaia then sent Helena out of the ring! She turned and Lizzie Jones went for The Calamity (Running single leg front dropkick) but NO! Kaia ducks it! Kaia then took her out with Star Shine- Handspring Cutter! She then pinned Lizzie and got the three count and the win! The bell rang and the champions won! It was now Kaia, TJ and Mighty Sparrow all in the ring with their opponents on the outside. All of them stared each other down as the feed went off the air, ending the last Freedom before No Man’s Land.
