BACKSTAGE
Gina Van Zyl is sitting in the locker room lacing up her boots, she looks up and sees the camera, she is surprised at first but then flashes a big smile.
Gina: Oh, hello there! Younline of faith me off guard. I'm just finishing up getying ready for my match, I honestly can not believe I am wrestling in America!
She pauses to take the moment in, she exhales and smiles.
Gina:This is a dream come true for me! Ever since I was s a little girl I wanted to wrestle, I wanted to be in a ring entertaining fans.
She slips her elbow pads on and pulls up her knee pads.
Gina: Without a doubt this is the largest crowd I have wrestled in front of, I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. My opponent Hope WIlliams has a lot more experience, she is a veteran, but I am not going to let that intimidate me.
She looks into the camera
Gina: This is my opportunity to show the fans what I am capable of, my opportunity to show the management of Liberty Pro that they have a potential superstar.
She pauses
Gina: But that doesn't mean I am taking Hope lightly, I have done my homework on her, I know she's a very tough competitor and I am a rookie. But I also know that she has her glaring weaknesses.
A slight smirk forms in the corner of her mouth.
Gina: In just a few minutes I will make my debut, in just a few minutes you all be amazed.
She smiles at the camera and and speaks in her native Afrikkan
Gina: Welkom by die vertoning (Welcome to the show)
She opens the locker room door and walks out.

MATCH ONE: SINGLES
Gina Van Zyl vs Hope WIlliams
Gina Van Zyl vs Hope WIlliams
RECAP Gina and Hope have a clean match, with Hope taking control early in and over powering the rookie in a couple of lock ups, bringing her down to the mat with various takedowns and holds, she get a quick pin in early but Van Zyl kicks out at two, from there the match takes a swing in his direction and Gina is able to pick up momentum fast. A spine buster followed up by her signature standing moonsault only sees a two count though and the rookie slaps the mat with frustration. Gina swings Hope off the ropes but she sees it coming and comes out with a hard kick to her temples, Gina wobbles for a moment and Hope locks in for a suplex but then Van Zyl battles her way out of the hold, bringing her off the ropes once more he then follows up her Cape Town Crush (Canadian Destroyer)!!! Van Zyl drops down and makes the pin and she picks up the three count, getting a HUGE win in her debut match over the veteran! WINNER Gina Van Zyl METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 5:13 FINISHING MOVE Cape Town Crush |

A smile from Kendrick comes across the screen as the camera fades in. He looks straight into it keeping his eyes deadlocked onto it.
KENDRICK KROSS: So it hasn’t exactly been bad for me the past couple weeks. I’ve technically held the Anarchy Title yet lost it as well. Was Grand Champion in GEW for a bit before it closed as well. But my only real goal right now? Winning that Anarchy Title and keeping it. Having a two match win streak going? That’s definitely a start. And Ava. Tonight makes it a 3 match streak.
Kendrick smiles a bit as he clears his throat and walks down the hall from which he was standing.
KENDRICK KROSS: Ava you’ve never had a match against me and really you haven’t exactly been on a roll. That doesn’t stop tonight either. Doesn’t matter how I take you out tonight what matters is the W. Something that the 2 people I have to go through to make sure I win that title. Momentum is on my side and will be staying on my side.
Kendrick pauses a bit as he slows down and leans against the wall outside of the door heading into the locker room.
KENDRICK KROSS: Ava, I hope you’re ready for this match and have prepared well. Because if not well then you won’t have a chance. Not that you had one in the first place though. It’s time to really get my career on the upswing and this win continues that.
He smiles a bit before waving to the door then rolls his eyes as he walks in and slams it shut.

BACKSTAGE
ackstage at Liberation, we see Honey and Derrick doing their pre-match planning session. They are sitting around a table, just talking about everything they can, because BFF is more than just a fun team name. We catch them as they’re talking about Derrick’s relationship with Honey’s cousin, Mimi.
Honey - I can’t believe you’re trying to take Cousin Mimi all the way to South Carolina!
Derrick - Not you too! It’s totally fair. Why do I gotta move all the way down to Miami, when Liberty and The Lair are up here in New York?
Honey - Yea, but if you came down to Miami, I could make you Honey Burgers and we could have more teamy meetings like this!
Derrick laughs and shakes his head.
Derrick - Yall Smiths are wild on this! Clearly, I ain’t ever gonna win on this front.
Honey looks at Derrick with a big pseudo-innocent smile, as if the Smith girls were not a united front on this topic.
Derrick - Anyways, let’s focus on the match for a second. It’s coming up in a few minutes, so it’s good to get focused.
Honey - I agree! We can put our plan to get you to move to Miami another time!
Big eye roll by Derrick as they change topics.
Derrick - Well, tonight we got the Gotham Champion and his number one contender in a tag team match, CVO.
Honey - Wow, we sure do face a lot of champions, Teamy! We’ve beaten two different tag champions, you faced Libby Pro Champion Tamsin last week, and now we face Maxxy Cerrano! Libby Pro really thinks a lot of us, huh?
Derrick - It looks like it, Teamy, but stuff like this doesn’t last long. Sure we beat ROTTEN, but that was by DQ. We almost had them by pinfall, and we should be tag team champion right now, but that’s not what happened. Sure Tamsin and I faced, but I lost and Tamsin was frustrated half the time with the guest ref, so it wasn’t even a completely fair match either way. We have had a lot of great opportunities lately, but we need to start capitalizing on them.
Honey’s face gets a bit more serious, but still optimistic, as she puts a hand on Derrick’s shoulder.
Honey - And we will, Teamy! Promise! We are doing our best, and it isn’t our fault ROTTEN is… well… ROTTEN, but it’s like you said, we had them beat even before we won by DQ! Even in a match that wasn’t fair to either you or Tamsin, you pushed her to her limits like you always do! We’re a team of besties that happen to also some of the bestie wrestlers in this company! Max and Ruby can say all they mean things they want on Twitter, but at the end of the day, we’re just tip-top compared to them!
Derrick feels more reassured now as a smile on his face. Honey is just so infectiously positive that you can’t help but feel happy and excited when she’s around. In fact, you can get kicked out of Halo for not being happy around Honey, so it’s literally a crime in some places.
Honey - That’s what I like to see! You know, my dads always told me a happy teamy is a tip-top teamy, so we’ve already got that over CVO to the Max!
Derrick - You’re right about all of it, Honey!
Honey - Even about you moving to Miami???
Honey’s eyes get all doe-eyed, as if trying to convince Derrick even more, but all he does is laugh it off.
Derrick - Okay, maybe not all of it, but you’re right about us constantly proving we’re the best and how Max and CVO are not a team that’s even supposed to last. CVO may be vulgar as hell, but she’s never once been shy about how she’s only here for gold and Max has what she wants.
Honey - And Maxie has done nothing but talk about how he isn’t going to let anyone take his Batman title, not even his teamy partner! That doesn’t sound very teamy to me! How are they gonna be able to beat Beastie Friends Forever if they aren’t even besties for a minute? It just doesn’t make sense.
Derrick - Spoken like a true war strategist, Teamy! Max and CVO are good even great individual wrestlers, and neither of them would be considered padded matchups in the eyes of anyone who truly watches this product, but tonight, it’s just a bit of divide and conquer and we’ll basically be the top of the Tag Team, Liberation, and Gotham divisions all at once Teamy!
Honey - And you did say we were going to hold all the gold in 2021, didn’t you, Bam Bam?
Derrick - Yea, I guess I did say that, didn’t I...
Derrick and Honey put their pointer fingers and thumbs on their chins like they’re thinking really hard about how everything is just coming together for them. Derrick breaks the pantomiming to finish his promo.
Derrick - I guess that just has to start tonight then!
Honey - I can’t wait to show Cousin Mimi all of our new title belts when you move to Miami!!!
Derrick rolls his eyes.
Derrick - You need to move on from that idea! I ain’t moving to Miami!
Honey does not believe this one bit as she smiles.
Honey - If you say so, Teamy!
They begin to laugh as the scene fades away!

MATCH TWO: SINGLES
Kendrick Kross vs Ava Ryan
Kendrick Kross vs Ava Ryan
RECAP Before the match started, Ava demanded it be hardcore rules. Kendrick shrugged and told the referee to make it happen and it did!! The bell rang and the match between Ava Ryan and Kendrick Kross was a back and forth one, with Ava showing that she was up to the task of fighting in a hardcore setting. Kross eventually took control when he nailed Ava in the face with a trash can. He pinned her but Ryan kicked out. Kendrick grabbed Ava and threw her out of the ring. This gave her the chance to grab a fire extinguisher from under the ring and she sprayed Kendrick in the face with it, surprising him. Ava slid the blinded Kross into the ring and she then hit him with a cutter! Ryan looked to go for the pin but Kross kicked out! Ryan couldn’t believe it. She told Kendrick to stay down and slapped him in the head. Kendrick wasn’t giving up though and she grabbed a chair with his free hand and slammed Ava in the face with it! She was out! Kendrick then hit Coup De Gras and picked up the huge win heading into his number one contender match for the Anarchy Championship! Precious Pepper Vain flicks through a classic novel in "Shogun" by James Clavell, thrilling, infused with mystery, she returns to where she last left off. Spending her evenings wading through a good book is no small pleasure of hers. She raises her head.
PPV: “If you live in reality it can be quite difficult speaking to delusional people. I’ve come to find most wrestlers in the business today are AFRAID of reality. If you’re one of them, I doubt this is something you want to hear, but just listen. Wrestlers love deceiving themselves. They live in a fiction where what happens on Twitter matters more than what they do in their company. My proof for this?”
The final GEW Grand champion lightly jerks her head back.
PPV: “Look no further than the last episode of Liberation. If you want to know someone’s true character, pay less attention to what they say. Just watch what they do. CVO and I fought on equal terms last week but whoo! Read her rants and you’ll be told a story of domination like no other. How she threw me around like a ragdoll. How she bravely fought off me and Kendrick Kross at once.”
She giggles, but catches herself.
PPV: So what makes someone lie so blatantly? Aside from blind hatred? Engagement. Engagement is the new cocaine and Twitter is your standard wrestler’s drug of choice. CVO’s no different and figured few of our colleagues outside Liberty watch our shows. Or at least the ones she wants to please. So she’ll deny reality and live in delusion. She'll stare at her phone and tweet out her dream scenarios as if they happened. She wants a hit of likes and the truth can’t get in the way of that. Even if she didn't beat me bloody like she said she "wanted". If you speak truthfully to delusional people they will become offended, just like CVO became offended at reality when I corrected her. All in the hopes of getting a pat on the head from those she looks up to.”
“And it’s no different with the quietest Liberty champion we've had yet. Put Tamsin behind a phone and she’ll bury you under a tsunami of tweets. But when the cameras are rolling? When she’s meant to put on a show and look larger than life? Barely a peep. Nobody ducks the cameras better than our Tammy. Liberty fans will be shocked to hear how talkative Tamsin supposedly is when all they see is a chick go to the ring and leave every week. You’re shit outta luck if you wanna hear your top champion speak on the actual show. You have to get a Twitter account for that. You still won't know what she sounds like, but she doesn't care abiut that. Unless I'm the one who'll finally get her to say something memorable. She hasn’t strung together two sentences on Liberty programming since last summer, but she’s the one asking me what do I do?”
Precious chuckles. She rolls her shoulders, drawing attention to her reclaimed Anarchy championship.
PPV “I cannot be the only wrestler in the world who doesn't believe in fictions. I’ve been a champion in every company I’ve been in. Record breaking reigns nearly everywhere I go. And every week you’ll see me on their shows as a pillar of the company. Not a week goes by without my presence being felt. My name being heard. Maybe that's why I'm looked down by these Twitter wrestlers. They don't care about the show. The actual product. They only see what they see on their feeds. They're too busy getting high on likes because their digital world is their reality. Meanwhile I find value in getting results. Being Anarchy champion. Because I don't need to believe in fiction."
Rising to her feet, Precious raises her Anarchy championship with her.
PPV: "Y'know, there's a little bit of precedence for tonight's main event. The last person to be both Liberty Pro champion and Anarchy champion is Mel Reeves. Next is Precious Pepper Vain. Arriverderci."
Smirking, Vain takes her leave.

BACKSTAGE
We cut backstage to Helena Noir prepping for her upcoming tag match when her partner, Jade Night, walks up and waves.
Jade Night: Hey champ, are you ready for this?
Jade takes a deep breath and exhales slowly.
Jade Night: I sure hope I am. I requested this one, you know? I have to fight him again…
On her second match in 24 hours, the former Liberty Champion looks still pretty banged up from last night’s Freedom main event. Her neck and the right shoulder seem to bother her particularly, consequences of a bad landing when Kaia tossed her outside the ring.
Helena Noir: I’m not 100%, but I can pull through.
Noir finally raises her eyes to Jade, noticing a certain nervousness in the former General Manager. Standing up from her seat, she places her hand on Jade’s shoulder.
Helena Noir: You look tense. Try to relax, take deep breaths.
Jade pauses and closes her eyes before taking a few deep breaths and exhaling slowly. The nerves seem to fade away somewhat and she nods her head.
Jade Night: I’m feeling better. And the training we’ve done this last week? I’m starting to feel like myself. All we can do now is just go out there and do our thing. Let’s show the Laroux’s that you and I aren’t anything to mess with.
Jade smiles warmly and nods.
Jade Night: I won’t let you down out there.
Noir smiles back and quickly replies.
Helena Noir: You never did, and I know you won’t start tonight.
Jade took a seat and thought over things for a moment before she looked back over at Helena.
Jade Night: I really do appreciate all the support you’ve given me. I don’t know what I would’ve done without you and then Alex Reeves sticking by my side.
Jade let out a light laugh.
Jade Night: That Alex sure is something though, huh?
Helena Noir: Must be running in the blood…
Her lips curl into a smile. It’s no secret that there’s always been a deep respect between Noir and Melissa Reeves, even admiration from the Swedish born for Mel’s talent. A talent she apparently sees in the young Alex as well.
Helena Noir: She still has a long way to go, but she’s definitely on the right path.
Jade nodded in agreement.
Jade Night: That’s true. I’ve helped her a bit already. Given her as much knowledge as I can. But I don’t know… She might need more help from somebody other than me.
She shrugged her shoulders before standing back up.
Jade Night: Anyway, enough small talk. Let’s head out there?
Helena Noir: I can’t wait to wipe that smug look off Xavier’s face.
The presence of the former champion by her side and her words seem to have had a positive effect on Jade. Far more confident than she was before, she exits the room. Helena follows right behind her.

MATCH THREE: TAG
Jade Night & Helena Noir vs Cause & Effect
Jade Night & Helena Noir vs Cause & Effect
RECAP In the early parts of the match, Helena and Jade good control in the early flows of the match and show a surprising amount of chemistry for two people who have never teamed before, using a lot of team moves and chain style wrestling to keep Xavier down; the unamused Laroux is able to fire off some offense but continues to find himself a victim of the numbers game as Helena and Jade keep Xavier in their corner away from Gabe. Helena tosses Laroux over the top rope and he takes the official down with him. The girls then follow him to the outside trying to check on the referee. That’s when Gabriel Laroux strikes, chair in hand he swings for Jade and she DUCKS! Unfortunately Helena is not so lucky and as Jade ducks, Helena takes the full force of the blow. RINGSIDE
Just like it happened on Freedom last week, the camera looks out over the crowd as Xavier and Gabe rest after their tough bout. The camera looks to the skybox and, sure enough, there’s the Smartest Man in Wrestling himself, looking out at the scene. He’s front and center, in clear view behind the glass, sipping a drink. He sets his glass on the table beside him and scratches his chin, deep in thought. This time, the door behind him opens to show Sean Callaghan appear, just as Liam had on Freedom.
Chuck stands, as was his habit, and greeted Callaghan warmly. Just as on Freedom, they seemed to be discussing something on jovial terms, with Chuck motioning towards the ring, where the Laroux brothers still stood. Gabe spotted the scene unfolding, and smacked the back of his hand to Xavier’s shoulder, getting his attention before pointing up at the box. Xavier looked visibly annoyed at this; Chuck had already been intervening in Valiant affairs, and Xavier had suffered a beatdown conveniently when Chuck made his appearance in GEW. Xavier storms out of the ring. In the skybox, Chuck and Sean shake hands and Callaghan leaves, allowing Chuck a moment to relax before sitting down to see the next match.

BACKSTAGE
Brianna Clark: So tonight, here I am on Liberation! I was brought over, surprise!
Brianna Leigh Clark grins at the camera and does a bit of a shrug, looking around in the little side hallway she’s posted up in. Her gear is bright, a vivid red since we’re getting close to Valentine’s Day, and she’s got a nice matching ribbon threaded through the braid she’s got her hair in tonight.
Brianna Clark: Well it was a surprise to me, I found out about it the same time everyone else did. So Cait Flanagan, it’s you and me tonight, and I’m not sure how you feel about it…
She looks this way and that, then laughs softly.
Brianna Clark: I suppose she may have a bit of legit beef with me, considering what happened on the Freedom before last. I was a Champion! Well, at least for a bit and fair enough. It was exciting, it was thrilling, and there was no way I was passing up the chance to try. I want you to understand that I can see why you were frustrated after the back and forth uh. Well, the Kendrick thing. That… I can get the frustration, I’m abundantly able to see how it is. I haven’t forgotten how he’s been, he did the same sort of thing to Melanie.
Brianna shakes her head and takes a deep breath, letting it out slowly.
Brianna Clark: People like to say that this business isn’t personal until it is, so if you want to take what happened personally, I’m not going to try and argue you out of it. From observing you so far, I might think you’d do the same… but I’m also not speaking for you. So, I’ll meet you in the ring tonight, we’ll have our match, and sort it out that way.
She waves off the camera and it cuts elsewhere.

Cait Flanagan vs Brianna Leigh Clark
RECAP Cait Flanagan and Brianna Leigh Clark meet up in the middle of the ring and lock up but BLC is too strong and shoves Cait away. BLC continued to use her strength to keep Cait down at the beginning of this, hitting her with a plethora of suplexes and eventually a powerbomb! She gets several near falls but Cait swipes Brianna in the eyes, blinding her and then taking her down with a swinging neckbreaker before lifting her up and taking her out with a snap DDT. Cait stomps on Brianna, telling her to stay down. She then lifts Bri up and whips her into the corner before charging in and hitting her with a leaping body splash. Cait then follows it up with a running bulldog. Cait then waits for Bri to stir and goes for her Irish Goodbye - Double underhook piledriver (Pedigree) but Bri has it scouted and she flips Cait over her head but Flanagan lands on her feet! Brianna then hits the ropes and she comes back and she levels Cait, who just turns around, with Incoming! (Shotgun Double Knee). Cait is completely laid out and Brianna collapses down on her in exhaustion. Brianna gets the three count and the win, picking up her first victory on the Liberation brand! CVO: “Sometimes, we forget why we do this.”
Speaking aloud as she stood propped up against one of the entrances to the arena, arms crossed beneath her bust, her eyes watching the ring below, fans passing by her. A few stopped, dumbstruck that she was just there. She signed what they offered up for her to sign as they passed by, she even posed for the occasional selfie, throwing up ‘v’ for victory with each snap of the camera. She did love her fans at least, if nothing else. When she had a moment? She looked back to the camera.
CVO: “Most of us do it for them. We do it for them, because they’re the ones who pay our bills, who make our dreams a reality. They’re why we’re allowed our dream at all, if we’re being real about it.”
A small child, let down by her father, ran over to CVO an’ gave her trunks a tug to get her attention. Half turning, she saw the tot and crouched down, sweeping her up and into her arms!
CVO: “Who let you out of their sight, you little dumpling?!”
Getting a coo out of the child, she was immediately pointing to her mother and father, too shy to speak. CVO didn’t mind, she just grinned and shifted her in her arms to take the next picture!
CVO: “You rootin’ for me out there, Tiger?”
More shying away, the auburn haired brawl just grinned and crouched, setting her back down before looking back to the camera.
CVO: “...Just remember that. At the end of the day, no matter how we’ve come? We do it for them, if we’re doing it right.”
With that said, she went back to schmoozing with her fans as the camera faded out.

BACKSTAGE
Xavier storms through the front lobby, followed closely by the camera crews. He bumps past staff, moves quickly as concession stands and merchandise booths zip through his peripherals. He even ignores a few fans who spot the wrestling star as he walks. His eyes are locked forward, heading straight for a very specific door. Xavier practically kicks open the door to the skybox, and Chuck stands, looking behind him at his new guest. He smiles warmly.
Chuck Matthews: “Ah! Mr. Laroux, what a sur-”
Xavier Laroux: “You smug son of a-”
He grumbles the last, vulgar, word, simultaneously cocking his fist back and smashing it into the mastermind’s jaw. Chuck stumbles a few steps, taken by surprise at the sudden blow. He straightens up, rubbing his jaw with a small chuckle.
Chuck Matthews: “Well… I suppose you’ve been wanting to-”
Xavier won’t let him get a word out, sending a nasty right hook to Matthews’ temple and sending him back, tumbling over his cushioned chair. Xavier vaults over the back of the chair, sitting in Chuck’s seat. He reaches over, taking the man’s drink and taking a sip of it as Matthews pushes himself up. He spits some blood from his mouth. Chuck looks as though he’s about to say something. Detecting another remark, Xavier sets down the glass and stands, delivering a vicious kick to Chuck’s ribcage that puts the industry’s brightest mind on his back. Laroux stands over Chuck, looking down at him.
Xavier Laroux: “The fuck are you doing here?”
He bends down to slap Chuck across the face.
Xavier Laroux: “Hm? More business, right? More tests?”
Another slap. Chuck laughs, smiling up at X, revealing the blood staining his teeth.
Chuck Matthews: “You really have no idea-”
Xavier Laroux: “What you’re after? Yeah, so I keep hearing.”
He grips Chuck by the hair, pulling him up. Chuck still refuses to fight back, getting up with a wince of pain at his hair ripping at the roots.
Xavier Laroux: “And that’s why you’re gonna tell me.”
Chuck’s smug smile never leaves his face.
Chuck Matthews: “A magician never-”
Xavier grabs Chuck by the neck, rushing him forward and smashing Chuck’s face against the glass of the skybox. Far below, the ring can be seen, awaiting the next competitors. The crowd all have their eyes locked on the box, looking at Chuck’s face, pressed against the glass.
Xavier Laroux: “Talk.”
Chuck Matthews: “Such a nasty temper…”
Xavier pulls Chuck’s head back and, with a furious roar, smashes it into the glass again. A spiderweb cracks across the glass, drawing a shocked collective gasp from the audience below.
Xavier Laroux: “Ain’t gonna hold forever… Talk.”
“That’s ENOUGH.”
The skybox door bursts open again, and the room is suddenly filled with security. Xavier swats furiously at them, but the numbers are far too big and they pull him away. Sean and Liam Callaghan enter the room, the former looking livid at Xavier’s actions.
Sean Callaghan: “Are you out of your fuckng mind?”
Xavier sputters, as if in disbelief that Sean would blame HIM for taking the fight to Chuck Matthews. Chuck straightens his jacket and smiles at Liam as the Callaghan son hands him a cloth for his bleeding lip. Sean looks to him.
Sean Callaghan: “Are you okay?”
Chuck waves him off.
Chuck Matthews: “I wrestled for over a decade. I’ve certainly had worse.”
He smiles, though still looks a bit psychotic with the red soaking his gums. Sean rounds on Xavier.
Sean Callaghan: “Mr. Matthews is here as a guest of myself and of Liberty. I don’t care what your issue is in other companies, but here, we DO NOT attack fans, and this man here is in attendance as a fan.”
Xavier Laroux: “He’s here to take your fuckin’ company. This smarmy fuck is up to something, and nobody seems to give a shit ‘cept ME.”
He tries to jerk himself free, and takes another swing, eliciting a panic from the guards and the Callaghans. Even Chuck seems a bit wary, and takes a few cautious steps away from the cracked glass window.
Sean Callaghan: “You have COMPLETELY lost your mind. Look at yourself. The man can’t even show up at a show without you losing your shit and trying to put him through a window?”
Chuck holds his hand up.
Chuck Matthews: “It’s completely understandable, really.”
He eyes Xavier with a sympathetic look that only seems to make Xavier angrier.
Chuck Matthews: “He still blames me for all that’s been going on…”
His expression slowly returns to a calm smile.
Chuck Matthews: “But if you must know, I’m here on business. I’m scouting.”
Xavier Laroux: “Scouting.”
He narrowed his eyes, staring coldly at Chuck.
Sean Callaghan: “Mr. Matthews has been given the opportunity to check out both Liberation and Freedom. As a GUEST.”
He glances at Chuck.
Sean Callaghan: “Speaking of… have you made your decision?”
Chuck Matthews: “Not quite, but I’ll have an answer after tonight’s events.”
He nods respectfully at Callaghan. Xavier looks from the brothers to Chuck.
Xavier Laroux: “What the fuck kinda decision are you talking about?”
Liam Callaghan finally speaks up from his corner.
Liam Callaghan: “Which show he’d prefer to be assigned. Chuck Matthews is the newest member of the Liberty roster.”
Before Xavier could reply, BAM! Cain Ellis comes from out of nowhere and he drops X with a huge big boot! He’s knocked out as Cain looks over at Chuck Matthews and nods. Matthews’ simply grinned as he nodded back before Cain is ordered to leave by Liam and Sean and the monster does just that as the scene cuts away.

She reluctantly agreed and Max had his way with Honey to start the match. He showed off his technical skill before dropping Honey with a snap suplex. Cerrano then tagged CVO in and told her to go finish the job. She rolled her eyes before attacking Honey. She had control over her for a bit but eventually, Honey countered and hit CVO with a hurricanrana. Max yelled at CVO, telling her to get her shit together. Derrick tagged in and he and Honey took out CVO with a double powerbomb. Derrick pinned but Max broke it up before it could get to three and he called Derrick a worthless little bitch. This caused Derrick to chase after Max but he exited the ring. Derrick followed and when he got out, Max shoved him into the ring post. Max got on the apron and CVO came to and tagged in. Max then took out Honey with a superkick. Derrick got back in the ring and Max hit him Headhunter - Sliding D! It’s now being realized that it’s just Derrick alone with Max and CVO! Voice: “Of Monsters and Men”
Came the voice of one Ahalya Patel, as she sat sprawled out on a New York City rooftop, something she’s made into a typical thing over the past few weeks.
Ahalya Patel: ”Great book if you take into account the essence of trying to humanize what it means to be a monster. Quite drastic in its telling of someone not knowing their own strength or how to actually utilize it though, and effect that may or may not apply to my opponent this week in Caine Ellis. We’ve heard the lines, A Trial By Fire, but what does that mean to most. Many approach flames with apprehension, most are afraid to get burned and then you have those who love the flames just a little too much, who are drawn to them for the heat and elegance. Pyromania at its finest. . . but then the same sentiments are offered to most facets of eternal life right? Fire and Brimstone to equate to the evil nature and dark tendencies of men.”
She pauses briefly before lowering the signature hooded sweatshirt we’ve grown custom to seeing her wearing before she flickers a smile.
Ahalya Patel: “It begs the question still, what does all of it mean. Is it supposed to be some kind of test that’s worth passing? Is it supposed to draw the daunting eye because a man who appears to be a monster has remained unbeaten by everyone who opposed him. The trial by fire supposedly reminiscent of their judgment day?”
She laughs once more.
Ahalya Patel: “Eh fuck all that noise. Caine, its easy enough to see why many of those who have faced you have found you intimidating, they aren’t sure how to take someone who embraces his darkness so easily, who offers a path of pain and destruction no matter what in the ring. I get why you’ve been on such a tear and why you’ve been so pulverizing against those who opposed you. Freddie Hjalmar had a similar thing going prior to you entering the ring against him, and then suddenly after that you’ve managed to derail every single foe you’ve come across with impressive endeavor. It’s something someone like me notices, but its also something someone like me knows how to take head on and show you that not everyone is worried about the destroyer of worlds.”
She pauses now the smile fading into a more serious tone.
Ahalya Patel: “I’ve come to Liberty Pro with one thing on my mind Caine and that’s to show everyone that even though they’ve tried to forget the name Ahalya Patel, that my talent and my rise can’t be declined not by anyone at any point in time. This mami knows how to go to toe with the biggest, the baddest, tall or short, whatever the bill may give and do it with pertinence. I’m not someone who needs to cash in a receipt she didn’t even win to hold a title, I’ve earned my shine and while you may think this trial by fire is going to go in your favor, Mr. Destroyer of Worlds I have another decider for you. Me continuing to be that chick that I am, and making sure you have a fight you won’t just be walking out of with the same gloam overcasting your very nature. I’m going to make sure you remember the day you entered the ring with me, the Lionness. . . the Indian Queen.”
She begins to stand now.
Ahalya Patel: “You asked if I offered a fight the others you’ve faced couldn’t offer and well you should’ve already known that answer before you even asked the question or you wouldn’t have posed it to begin with. Time is ticking on that path of destruction Caine, and it stops with me.”
With that she nods and bids adieu to the camera before pulling her hood back up and the scene staying on her until she becomes a smaller and smaller figment on the frame just before it fades away.

BACKSTAGE
We cut backstage to Honey and Micaela standing next to each other with other ROTTEN members around. Honey looks uncomfortable as Micaela tries to sweet talk her.
Micaela: Do you see how they have treated you, Honey? You’re a former Liberty Champion but they’ve all forgotten that. They’ve left you at the waist side… They’ve let you simply become a shadow behind Derrick La’Bell.
Honey tries to respond but Micaela continues.
Micaela: Join us. Join ROTTEN, where you will be one of us, where you will get what your talent deserves. Most of all? You’ll be somewhere where you are appreciated.
Honey’s eyes widen as she thinks it over but she slightly shakes her head.
Honey: I-uh… I can’t turn my back on my friends.
Micaela: Where are your friends right now? Huh? ROTTEN is right here.
Honey: No! I can’t!
Micaela finally gets frustrated and she knocks Honey to the ground. She starts to stomp on her but HERE COMES DERRICK LA’BELL WITH A CHAIR! He swings it at Micaela and the rest of the ROTTEN members with her but they all play the smart move and leave. Derrick kneels down and checks on Hoeny.
Derrick La’Bell: Honey! Are you okay?
Honey coughs slightly and nods.
Honey: I’ll be fine. Thank you.
Derrick looks up with a fire in his eyes, looking around to make sure everything is now safe and clear.

Ahalya Patel vs Cain Ellis
RECAP The bell sounds and the fans are hot as Ahalya Patel circles the ring with Cain Ellis. The Queen of India peppers Cain with a couple of kicks to the thigh before he backs Ahalya up into the corner with a collar-and-elbow. Ahalya turns it around at the last minute and gets him with a few more thigh kicks then backing away to create some space as they circle again. A Greco-Roman lock happens with Ellis overpowering Patel and backing her into the ropes, forcing a break, but not before he gets her with a few clubbing shots to the side of the head. More circling and Patel gets Ellis with some more thigh kicks, outside and inside, anytime he gets too close, but he swats at her with clubbing shots to the back. They lock up again and Cain backs Lya into the ropes once more to force another break and Patel goes right back to her kicks, looking to chop the near 300-pounder. Going to the well one too many times, Patel tries for another thigh kick, but gets too close and Ellis grabs the back of her neck, raining clubbing blows down with his free hand. Once she breaks free, Ahalya goes right back to the kicks and she ends up backing Cain into the corner where she starts to throw some wild forearms at him. Patel backs out once the referee starts to count her and then eggs Ellis on. She ducks underneath a grabbing attempt and they circle, but Cain finally catches up to Lya and backs her into the corner, throwing some clubbing lefts and rights at her. Cain doesn't let Ahalya out of the corner as he starts to get his first real offense in this match and brutalizes Patel with the strikes. She slumps to the bottom of the corner and Ellis chokes her out until the referee forces a break then Cain just kicks her right in the face. With great ease, Cain picks Ahalya up and throws her into the opposite corner, running in with a big boot. A snapmare puts Lya in the center of the ring and Cain hits her with a big boot! After a few moments, Ellis tries to pick up Ahalya but Patel tries to scramble away, throwing some kicks at that weakened leg, but Ellis powers through these ones and shuts her down with some well placed stomps to keep her on the canvas. Picking Ahalya up, Cain throws her to the outside, and climbs out after her, lifting her up once more before throwing her into the ringside barricade. With Patel slumped in the corner of the barricades, Ellis backs up, and then rushes in with another knee to Ahalya's head. Again, Cain backs up and runs in with another knee to crush Ahalya against the barricade. He goes for a third time, but Ellis only crashes into the barricade as Patel just rolls out of the way. She's up to her feet and Ahalya rolls into the ring, trying to collect her bearings for a moment as Cain slowly recovers, clutching at his leg. Before Cain can get into the ring… CRACK! Xavier Laroux slams a chair onto the back of Cain Ellis. Cain turns and glares at Xavier and Xavier can’t believe it! He turns tail and RUNS but Cain Ellis follows! The referee doesn’t know what exactly to do with the chair shot and then Ellis leaving… So he calls for the bell and calls it a no contest! Ahalya rolls her eyes at the entire situation, clearly she isn’t pleased as she wanted to test herself against Ellis. WINNER No Contest METHOD N/A MATCH LENGTH 13:49 FINISHING MOVE N/A POST MATCH Eliis makes his way backstage but as soon as he crosses the curtain, there’s Gabriel Laroux to tackle him down! Gabriel and Xavier beat down Cain but the monster soon shoves them both off of him! It’s an all out war backstage until, not just the backstage staff, but Sean Callaghan and the roster are there pulling everyone apart. Xavier is able to spit in Cain’s face and this only enrages him! Cain shoves a half dozen people off of him and he dives in and spears X and begins to throw lefts and rights but even more people come now and pull Cain away! They are finally pulled in opposite directions as the scene cuts away. |
BACKSTAGE
Another starting shot in the back. Liberations been buzzing, but it’s missed the crucial element. It’s catalyst.
The cameras focus in on Liberty Champion, Tamsin. She’s finishing the rest of her match prep - stretching her legs out in a hallway close to gorilla.
As gracious enough to speak once again. Yet still she keeps it short.
She says there’s a million and one things she’s already said about PPV. She says that there’s portably another million she could pull out right now.
She kicked her leg off of a production crate and snatched up her prized possession, that belt that validated her as the absolute best in this company.
She shoulders it, saying that tonight winners and losers won’t be dictated by what we have to say to each other.
A pause, a momentary beat as she glamours into the shine of her belt. She simply finishes her time stating that the very title she holds, what PPV has yet to every clutch and call her own....
That belt does her talking for her, and it’s going to ring in loud and clear.

BACKSTAGE
We cut backstage to Sean and Liam Callaghan sitting down in a VIP room, watching the show on the flat screen.
Sean Callaghan: Fuckin’ no contest? You kiddin’ me!?
Liam Callaghan: X always seems to get himself involved in shit.
The two share a laugh before continuing on.
Sean Callaghan: So, you wanted to talk business?
Liam Callaghan: I did. I know we only drafted these rosters last month, but with everything going on? We might need to mix it up a little bit. New signings, some people let go… I think we should discuss some trades.
Sean furrowed his brow.
Sean Callaghan: Trades huh? We’ll see about that. Let’s just enjoy this main event.
Liam Callaghan: Exactly my point. One of these two I just might want on my brand.
Sean Callaghan: Oh yeah?
Sean points at the camera.
Sean Callaghan: Fine. We’ll talk. But not in front of this shit.
Liam Callaghan: Agreed.
They order the cameras out of the room and the scene cuts away.

She covers Tamsin again but she kicks out at two. Precious grabs onto Tamsin and looks to go for a running knee strike but Tamsin rolls through and ends up hooking Precious in a Boston Crab! She torques and twists Precious’s legs, trying to get her to submit. She pulls at her hair and fights to get free, kicking at Tamsin but she holds on tight. Precious finally reaches the ropes but more damage was done to her legs now. She uses the ropes to get to her feet but as soon as she does, Tamsin clotheslines her up and over the top. Precious lands in a pile outside the ring, using the guardrail to help stand up while Tamsin hits the far ropes, comes back and suicide dives through the middle ropes and takes them both into the guardrail! Both are slowly moving as the official makes his count. Tamsin is the first to her feet and she pulls up Precious, only to drive her back and ribs first into the side of the ring. The Liberty Champion follows up with a snap suplex on the outside before going into the ring to break the count. Tamsin heads back out and goes for a suplex but drops Precious ribs first onto the guardrail. Tamsin backs off a few steps then charges in with a running knee to the side of Precious’s head, leaving her hanging on the rail almost lifeless. Tamsin drags her back to the ring and rolls her inside. Tamsin makes the cover but Precious kicks out at two, causing Tamsin to scoff and shake her head. Tamsin pulls Precious to her feet and sends her into the far ropes but when PPV comes back, she leaps in the air and grabs Tamsin into a guillotine! She locks her legs around Tamsin and pulls back on her head and neck. Tamsin fights the hold but Precious has it locked in deep, yelling out with each pull on his neck! She takes her Liberty Championship and levels Cait with it. PPV is up on her feet now and looks to go for retribution on Tamsin but noooo! Ahalya Patel is in the ring and she takes out Precious with En Femina (540 High Kick). Tamsin wastes no time and tries to do the same she did to Ahalya last week! She charges and goes for Veto but Ahalya ducks it! When Tamsin turns around? BAM! Another Em Femina, this time on Tamsin.
