MATCH ONE: SINGLES
Alex Reeves vs JPK
Alex Reeves vs JPK
RECAP Reeves starts off strong, taking the fight to JPK and putting on quite the display of skilled chain wrestling, it’s immediately obvious she has had excellent training, true to form to being a Reeves in the ring, she holds the power in the match from early on. JPK gains some power back with some heavy handed moves which sees him cautioned by the official, as JPK is being cautioned, Alex comes up behind and shoves him into the ropes, snapping a kick to the back of his head as he bounces off, she drops down and hooks the leg, but JPK is able to kick out at two. As soon as the official stops the count, Alex begins to argue with him, insisting that it was clearly a three count. But the official assures her otherwise, JPK tries to take advantage of the distraction and whips Alex off the ropes, but she ducks the clothesline and takes him down with a swinging neck breaker. Alex draws back to the ropes and measures him up for a cradle DDT, but as she comes off the ropes for her momentum, she missteps and kicks the back of her heel, the slight stumble is enough for JPK to telegraph the move, dodging her and then taking her down with cutter! He pins but gets a two count! He then stalks Reeves, looking for something big but a masked figure is standing ringside. JPK is distracted and Reeves takes him out with Leaping complete shot - Sweet Dreams. She pins and gets the three count and the win. The Parking Lot! And something just pulled up. But it’s not a limo. It’s not some big truck or even a cool motorcycle. That’s for other people. No, this is a small car. Nothing extravagant. Two doors on each side and a bland, boring blue. There are no superstars here. Only The Losers Club.
One door opens, and in rather unorthodox fashion, Ronnie Ward gets out first after pulling the seat forward to allow Ralph Adler and Kasey Connery out with him. Ronnie stands ready. Poised. A big night ahead of the group, a heck of a challenge against one of the most fiendish groups in all of wres-- oh, wait a second. He turns, with a smile.
Ronnie Ward: Thanks for the lift, mom!
His mom waves back, as she pulls back. Ralph lets out a huge sigh of relief.
Ralph Adler: I’ll tell you what...it’s nice to be back in California but man, your mom sure does talk.
Ronnie Ward: Yeah, she’s like that.
Ralph Adler: I’ve never known a woman to have so many baby pictures of her son, just, on hand. Speaking of which, what’s that?
Ralph points down at the contents of Ronnie’s hand. In this instance, a little box with a handle on it. Ronnie shrugs.
Ronnie Ward: Oh, it’s a lunchbox. Mom packed me some lunch so I wouldn’t go hungry.
Ralph Adler: How old are you now, Ronnie?
Ronnie Ward: 29.
Ralph Adler: ...Yeah.
Ronnie Ward: Okay, well she said she’ll be here to pick us up at about 11, so…
Ralph Adler: Wha--what? Sorry, what?
Ronnie Ward: She’d pick us up. Give us a lift back home!
Ralph laughs, but not in a ‘that was funny’ kinda way, more a ‘aw, aren’t you cute’ kind of way and puts his hands on Ronnie’s shoulders.
Ralph Adler: Ronnie, all due respect, I am not celebrating beating ROTTEN in a cramped car with you and your mom. We’re home, it’s a wrestling show, I’m going to the afterparty to get fucking wasted. You do you, but I’m gonna live a little! Now come on. Let’s go kick these guy’s asses.
Ronnie nods as Ralph proudly leads the charge. KC has been stood very quietly the entire time, as she is wont to do, until now, where she finally begins to follow Ralph. But before she does, she turns to Ronnie.
Kasey Connery: Hey. Your mom’s cool.
Ronnie Ward: Thanks! Hey, uh...I can give you a lift home if you’re not going with Ralph? Well not me, obviously, but--
Kasey Connery: Sure.
Ronnie Ward: Great. Uh, yeah, great! Ralph’s right though- let's go kick ROTTEN's butts.
Ronnie and Kasey leave our view, to catch up to Ralph, as we fade out.

The Losers Club (Ralph, Kasey, Ronnie) vs ROTTEN? (Xavier Laroux & Lena Skye)
RECAP Lena Skye was in the ring alone with Xavier Laroux nowhere to be found. The referee told her that the match needed to go on, so he decided to ring the bell. The match was now three on one and Lena didn’t stand a chance, as Ralph, Kasey and Ronnie all attacked Lena at once. The three beat her down before hitting their big finish! Cameras were quick to catch up with 'YOUR Favorite Drug' Xavier Laroux as he walked that hallway with intent. It wasn't exactly clear where he was headed but it seemed important. More so than the match he never showed up to.
Obviously curious about this, the man holding the camera reached out to stop Xavier's walk. Laroux turned around, a near desperate look in his eyes.
Cameraman: What's up with leaving Lena high and dry out there like that?
That former look was washed away as his brow lowered, Xavier being visibly bothered by the man's questioning.
Xavier Laroux: You don't get it, do you?
The simple bothered expression slowly grew into one of annoyance.
Xavier Laroux: Let's get one thing straight. Huck was the only part of ROTTEN that I stayed for and now he's gone so it's what the fuck ever. I never gave two shits bout the message. Hell, half the fuckin time I didn't even understand what the fuck they were goin on about. My involvement with them was simple..means to an end..the end of Chuck Matthews.
Breathing in deeply, Xavier reached up, running his hand across the top of his head, an off laugh slipping free from his mouth.
Xavier Laroux: Nobody..notta goddamn one of you here understands. Y'all see the shit I'm doin..the fuckin lengths I'm goin to to rid this business of that vile fuckin..thing. There's nothin I won't do to accomplish this goal.
Laroux backed up, leaning against the white wall behind him, letting it support his weight. Bringing his hands up, he covered his face with them, rubbing it vigorously. His hands dropping to his sides, he brought his head back against the wall as he sighed out in frustration.
Xavier Laroux: Yet..people think I'm the problem. They throw out words like paranoid..delusional..outta his fuckin mind. I don't get it. I'm doin the right thing whether any of you wanna admit it or not. And when the time comes? I either finally take him out or he fuckin launches this master plan. I want every last one of you to know that you were wrong. Wrong bout me. Wrong bout Chuck. Wrong bout EVERYTHIN!
That last word being yelled out, he shoved off of that wall.
Xavier Laroux: As hard as this has been..there's progress. But most importantly..I'm learnin. And the best thing I've learned? Some problems can't be punched away.
There was just a hint of malice in the smirk that flashed across his features. Xavier reached out, shoving the cameraman out of his way, urgently walking towards his destination.

RECAP The bell rings and Yang starts off strong, taking the fight to Joss and putting on quite the display of skilled chain wrestling, it’s immediately obvious that Yang is looking to show off her new confidence for a second week in a row. Backstage, Lizzie Jones is in the office of Jade Night. Jones is quite obviously unhappy.
Lizzie: It’s a joke, right?
Jade is unmoved.
Lizzie: You pair me up with the guy I just beat, against two idiots that can’t keep their dick swinging contest out of my way. You’re kidding, right?
No answer.
Lizzie: Fucking say something, damn it.
Jade: Are you done?
Lizzie: Nah… nah, I’m far from done.
Jade is about to reply, when Liz cuts her off.
Lizzie: But you know who’s done? They are. Thanks for nothing, ‘boss’.
Shaking her head, Jones turns back to the camera. Behind her, Jade is angry at being ignored, but does interfere.
Lizzie: Yeah, it’s all one big joke, ain’t it? Cole thinks it is. Cole thinks he can do what he likes then run the hell away when I call him out. Fucking Cole, you useless fuck, I’m going to make you regret mindlessly barging into my business. And Coby? No guy calling himself “Quik” is ever going to be anything but a joke.
Huffing, she heads out of the office, leaving Jade to face the camera. She gives a little shrug, before the scene cuts.

MATCH FOUR: TAG
Coby Quik & Cole Gregory vs Lizzie Jones & Donovan Rich
Coby Quik & Cole Gregory vs Lizzie Jones & Donovan Rich
RECAP Coby Quik and Cole Gregory look ready to team up against the unlikely pairing of Lizzie Jones and Donovan Rich. But Donovan stops at the entrance way when making his entrance and he takes a seat, refusing to make his way to the ring. Once again, we find ourselves with another handicap tag match because of someone from ‘ROTTEN’ not wanting to compete. Lizzie Jones doesn’t care though and tells the referee she doesn’t need Rich and to start the match. The bell rings and Jones charges Quik. He puts up a fight against her but she soon takes over and hits him with a dropkick. She then hits a running bulldog before whipping Quik into his corner and telling him to tag Cole in. Cole decides to tag Coby himself and get in the ring. He charges Lizzie and goes for a clothesline but she ducks. Cole then counters with a Pele kick. He has Lizzie on the defensive but she hits him with a thumb to the eye! The referee tells Lizzie to watch herself but she’s lost it by now, seeing this whole thing as a waste of her time. She low blows the referee! Cole can’t believe it but Lizzie hits him with a low blow too before rolling out of the ring and retrieving her belt. Coby tries to confront her but Jones lays him out with the US Championship. The bell rang and the match was called a DQ win for Coby and Cole. Lizzie then looks up to the ramp and sees Donovan. Donovan stands up after the bell rings and demands a microphone. Even with it the boos from the audience drowns out his voice. He smiles patiently and paces around the ring shaking his head. Rich: What’s the matter bruh? Angry because I didn’t join Lizzie in that ring and join in with her bullshit? No. You’re angry that I didn’t play your game. Some things are just bigger than a match. Some things are more important than dancing for the management here. That’s always been the way of ROTTEN. And regardless of dumb ass rumors that’s the way it always will be. My comrades did everything they could to make sure me and my baby girl were secure. And I will spend the rest of my life fighting towards their goal. OUR goal. Rich stops pacing and looks around the arena. Eyes wide and staring into the audience, he smiles again the jeers resurging. Rich: Like I said already, just because a few of us are somewhere else doesn’t mean we’re gone. This isn’t the END of ROTTEN. This is a brand new beginning. The second chapter. Part two. And what you just witnessed was the symbolic representation of that rebirth. Not just for ROTTEN and our message. Our plan. But for me as a man as well. From this moment on you will refer to me as Don Melor. Donovan Rich was the name of a man who folded on his morals. Donovan Rich was the name of a man willing to be used by the system. Donovan Rich is the name of a man who doesn’t exist anymore. He….. may as well be dead. And with that Don Melor drops the microphone and rolls out of the ring a chorus of boos following behind him. BACKSTAGE
There was a sense of feeling that came with the utter calmness of Kaia Grainger as she made her way down the hall of the Webster Bank Arena, there was a confident stride we’ve yet to see from her in previous weeks though it lacked any sort of arrogance. The bounce of her high ponytail, tied back with not a single hair out of place, a white halter crop, matching shorts, and rhinestone tights that went straight into her knee high boots.
This strut accompanied by a thoughtful expression as she crossed her arms over her frame and meticulously tapped those well manicured fingers in syncopation just before her eyes officially met that of the viewer screen. A smirk accompanies her as she does so.
Kaia Grainger: “Momentum, those were the words I heard spoken about what I would’ve gained had I come out victorious at the last Freedom show. . . Momentum”
The second time she repeated the word it appeared she was more thoughtful in how she was saying it, there was more emphasis placed on the measure of the words.
Kaia Grainger: “I know this in itself is supposed to be part of the currency in the biz, and trust me there is a particular vibe I rock in Boss Lady Realness, that extenuates a knowledge of currency. We are all after all out here trying to garner our own type of wage in the world aren’t we? Thus, the momentum I’ve gained must appear to be all too valuable in my chase for the Freedom Strap.”
Kaia gave a soft smile once more before shaking her head at that notion.
Kaia Grainger: “No. See the particular weights and figures that most give credit too don’t exist for me, I don’t consider this one time that I was able to capitalize to give me any sort of edge, because it's different circumstances. I was working with someone I hold near and dear as a friend, against two of the best competitors in the business today, who possibly didn’t mesh on the same level. After all modeling shoots do require a little bit of cohesion and artistic vision hmm?”
She let out a light laugh to that.
Kaia Grainger: “My point to my friend TJ Techniques is that I don’t even remotely consider us even nor do I think I’ve got some advantage to hold over his head when it comes to this title chase. The particular light that I see doesn’t have room for things like pride and vanity. Instead, it shows a clear and direct path to a particular destination and that is the Two of us, at Day Or Reckoning II, and furthermore. . . it only makes us a little closer on that win-loss scale when facing one another since you now hold two over my head, if we’re being technical.”
A wink was given then before she spoke further.
Kaia Grainger: “Nevertheless, despite the path on the road remaining clear, there is one more particular we have in store a little closer to projection. Dex Morant. At times a tag team pair, at times a solo extraordinaire. What a coincidence that my path continually finds those who seek arrogance or brashness as a prerequisite. I too was trained by one of the best in the industry and her teachings have gifted me well here in Liberty Pro, with my tenure as United States Champion as well as in my current positioning. Don’t be misguided by good fortune, young Dex. There is more to life than just that.”
A soft but affirmative laugh given as she continues on her backstage path.
Kaia Grainger: “Just do not fear what light brings you, most find that blessings are often feared until they are revealed. Consider it a sign from the stars.”
A wink was given then just before she walked past the camera and we saw only her backside as the scene slowly began to fade.

Kaia Grainger vs Dex Morant
RECAP This match started off with high intensity, as Kaia Grainger was looking to prove worthy of her title shot, while Dex wanted to prove that he can hang with someone of Kaia’s caliber. Dex scored a schoolboy on Kaia in the early going, yanking on her tights as he did so but the referee caught it. Dex and the referee argued and this gave Kaia the chance to take advantage. Kaia took control of the match until she hit Dex with an enziguri that sent him flying back and taking out the referee. Dex took advantage of the referee down as he thumbed Kaia in the eye and then dropped her with a double arm DDT. Dex exited the ring and entered with a chair. When Kaia got to her feet, Morant went to level her with a chair but Grainger superkicked it right into his face. She then hit Star Shine- Handspring Cutter when he recovered. She pinned him and the referee started the count and it went to three! Grainger picked up the big win! WINNER Kaia Grainger METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 5:54 FINISHING MOVE Star Shine |

Sparrow: In every story there’s a main protagonist. The hero of the story. The one everyone wants to count on, the one who you know will pull it out in the end because that’s who they are.. He ain’t gotta be the strongest or the fastest, but sometimes he is. There’s always that one factor, that one bit of somethin’ or another that she does better than everyone else. She. He. They. The hero comes in many forms, in many states, but they are always main character of the story. For Freedom brand? That’s TJ. That’s me partna’ as they would say in Trinidad. Me bana as the Guyanese does say.
The Liberty Pro King of New York champion speaks with a certain sense of unease. As the camera zooms out on him it’s no surprise why. His right arm has been wrapped from shoulder to wrist with kinesio tape. Likely from a recent show at Frontier Grappling Arts where both he and TJ also compete. Mighty Sparrow flexes his right hand intermittently with every few words, as if trying to gain some strength in it.
Sparrow: The Freedom champion had something of a set back ain’t? Well...It’s hard to call it a setback when Kaia pins you because the three of us been competed against each other and we been competed together so set back ain’t the word to use. Nah. A hiccup might be better for it but loss is nothin’ but a teaching opportunity. Like I lose tonight, you know what that teaches me Teej?
The West Indian Whirlwind pauses as if expecting the Freedom champion to actually answer. Of course given that Mighty Sparrow is alone...No answer comes.
Sparrow: It teaches me that as until proven otherwise? In Liberto Pro I am still your second. That ain’t a hard truth to swallow y’know. That’s why I dropped that funny little gif on social media. Rock Lee, Naruto, trading hands back and forth. You know anime, yes? Whose the main character? Who is the character who, while entertaining enough to have his own spinoff show, when it comes to the main show...He only happens to be on the side. They still partners, they still friends, still that ride together, die together trip but...One always has to know. In your domain, in your place, where you are toughest, strongest, where you reign supreme... Am I enough?
Sparrow shrugs his shoulders nonchalantly but there is this twinge, this slightest edge of worry that racks every part of his body, every inch of his skin. This underlying tension. Aggression and fierceness that might have been all bubbled up for Michael Marou, stewing for other defenses that may come if he even passes through the Ironman? Lacking. Slacking.
Sparrow: I ain’t know ya know. I had more to say, I had more that was in my head but these have just been passing thoughts giving more anxiety than anything else. The last time? The last time we were in a competitive match, champion versus champion versus champion? I lost. Ain’t no lies about it, ain’t no sugarcoating it, ey boy. I came close...Close, got too close to the sun and that knee. That...knee. I ain’t just got rocked ya know, I got clocked and if I ain’t careful it could happen all over again in one swoop, minus one Lightbringer. So...Take out Kaia. Boom, she ain’t in the equation. What happens here? Can you afford another competitor lickin’ at your heels right now? Another partner in crime? Maybe it’s good we don’t all despise each other, makes for a sensible kinda thing. ...All hypotheticals, ain’t Teej? Because at the end of the day. It ain’t no matter of me sayin’ See me. It’s all if I’m good enough that I see you.
The KONY champion punches through the air with his taped up arm and moves the championship on his left shoulder before he walks off. All the same? He’s still a tense bundle of nerves.

Precious Pepper Vain vs Michael Marou
RECAP At the sound of the bell, Pepper offers Marou a handshake with a smirk but Michael scoffs and waves her off. Both Michael and Pepper walk out and circle each other for a moment, feeling each other out before going to lock up, but Pepper drops down and drives a knee into the midsection of Marou. She drives a second knee into his midsection before turning and hitting a backhand chop to the chest of Michael. Marou winces at the chop and Precious tells him “You really should stop following me into every company I’m in. Followed me to Valiant, GEW and now Liberty. You gotta shape your own identity, boo.” An enraged Marou charges her but PPV follows up with a second one and Michael is getting riled up even more now. He starts to walk up on PPV but she is quick to hit him with a kick to the midsection. As Marou staggers, she kicks him in the small of the back with a thud, she then snapmares him over and hits another kick square into his spine. With Marou down, PPV starts to stomp and drop knees to the shoulder area of Marou, trying to keep him down on the canvas. PPV makes a quick move to try to lock in the Red Riot but Marou kicks back and is able to roll Vain off of him. They both get to their feet and PPV hits a big jumping knee that knocks Marou into the corner. PPV backs up and comes charging in, looking for a double knee strike but Marou catches her. He muscles her up and takes her down hard with a sit out powerbomb that leaves both competitors down on the mat. They both slowly get to their feet, with PPV telling Marou “Man if you fought like this all the time , you woulda beat Tyson.” This enrages Marou further and he charges PPV recklessly, which she dodges before she grabs onto Michael from behind and tries for a German suplex but Marou uses his size advantage to stay on his feet. He throws two back elbows that knock PPV off his back. Marou turns and takes PPV over with a gutwrench suplex. He keeps a hold of her and takes her over for a second suplex. Marou hangs on again and takes PPV for a third gutwrench suplex! He makes the cover but can over get a two count. He hits the top rope and looks for something big but when he leaps off, PPV rolls out of the way! She then takes advantage as she takes Michael out with Killing Stroke - Straight-Jacket Suplex! She pins and gets the three count! WINNER Precious Pepper Vain METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 12:34 FINISHING MOVE Killing Stroke |

“Well now… this IS fun, isn’t it?”
Chuck’s soft voice is heard before the scene opens to the man himself, sitting on a steel chair in a lone spotlight. The area around him is dark, giving no indication as to where he actually is.
Chuck Matthews: “I suppose that cat is out of the bag then, isn’t it? Everybody demanding to know my purpose here, wondering what vile scheme I have in mind, what terrible plot I’ve concocted for Liberty Pro Wrestling… I suppose now you have it.”
He sucks in his cheek for a moment, pondering his next words.
Chuck Matthews: “I haven’t been completely honest, I suppose. All this time here, I’ve been telling you I’m here for one final run, just to see if I can still do it.”
He gave a shrug.
Chuck Matthews: “And in all fairness, that IS true. I’m getting older. My mind is sharp, but sooner or later, my body isn’t going to be able to keep up. Once upon a time, I was one of the greatest wrestlers in the world. Multiple-time world champion, collected tag titles like they were baseball cards, won Wrestler of the Year awards, Match of the Year awards, main events, sold out huge arenas, wrestled all over the world… I’d be outright lying if I said there wasn’t a part of me that didn’t want a small taste of that, just one more time.”
Chuck taps his finger against his knee in a strange rhythm that seemed to make sense only to him.
Chuck Matthews: “So I considered the thought. Spoke to family, spoke to close associates. Spoke to Mr. Callaghan. He and I go back a ways, thought maybe he’d have something to say. As it so happened… he had a particular problem he was hoping to get some help with.”
He looks up at the camera.
Chuck Matthews: “Little group called ROTTEN.”
The mastermind shakes his head.
Chuck Matthews: “So we struck a deal. I’d get the contract I wanted, I’d get the matches I needed, and in return, I take care of his ROTTEN problem for him. He brought in Grace van Beek, and the two of us got to talking. Problem solved…. Right?”
Cold, empty eyes lock onto the camera, staring deep into it, a hollow stare that could penetrate even the viewers on the other side of the screens.
Chuck Matthews: “While I will not speak for Miss van Beek, I will certainly speak for myself. I was asked to dismantle ROTTEN. As far as I’m concerned, their leader has been dispatched, and it’s only a matter of time before the group falls apart without that guidance. Now… that leaves the remaining members with a choice. You can each take what you’ve learned here, go your separate ways. Enjoy your contracts here in Liberty, bring your talents to Millennium, whatever you’d like. I won’t bother you. I don’t care. My job is done, and I’m free to go back to focusing on this last chapter of mine in the wrestling world.
Or… you can scramble. Retreat, regroup, figure out what your next move will be as a unit, and keep this ROTTEN charade going. Of course, that’s entirely your prerogative, you’re welcome to do so. But understand that if you do, my job of dismantling ROTTEN will not be complete, and you will leave me with no other option except to take the rest of you down, one by one.”
He lets out a sad sigh, knowing that this very may well be the path they choose.
Chuck Matthews: “My advice? Quit while you’re ahead. You had a good run… pissed off a lot of good people. You’ve turned a lot of people in this company against you, and now you’ve got the sharpest mind in the business planning your downfall. Tell me… is that really the fight you want to pick? Sure, maybe you’ll hold your tag team belts a while longer, maybe you’ll get a few more shots in against Liberty, against Millennium… but how long do you really expect this to last? With all the enemies you’ve made, with all the money and power and brains working against you, just how do you expect to keep up?
What happened to Mr. Thurston-Knott was not an act of vengeance. It wasn’t an act of greed, or malice, no, that’s not my style, nothing like that at all. Consider it… a display. A reminder of exactly the kind of man I am, and the kind of things I can do. Mr. Thurston-Knott was your fearless leader, the mastermind behind ROTTEN’s plans. He was unbeaten, an untouchable revolutionary with resources, with numbers, power, and a freight train of momentum behind him. And yet, despite all of that... I took him out in a week. Now, if I could do that, with such ease, with such conviction, to HIM...
Imagine what I could do to any of you.”
He offers a soft smile to the camera.
Chuck Matthews: “I’m sure you’ll make the right call.”

Helena Noir vs Chuck Matthews
RECAP Staying ringside of the match is Precious Pepper Vain, who orders her manager, Gus, to announce the competitors. Gus announces Chuck as “The Smartest Man In Wrestling” when he makes his way to the ring but when Helena makes her entrance, he calls her “The Dog of Liberty Pro”, which causes the fans to boo. When Helena enters the ring, Gus smartly leaves and sits next to PPV on the commentary table. The bell rings and the match starts, with Chuck and Helena locking up. The two veterans are showing off their skills but also their brains as they counter each other step by step. Ringside, match commentator Samuel Griffin asks PPV why she attacked Helena the other week. She explains she needed an alibi for what she was really doing that night. Sasha Taylor asks what, and Vain says, “oh you know, the usual, fraud, racketeering, money-laundering, the occasional heist…” Samuel tries to press her on the truth about Helena, but she says “the less you know about it the better…”, and she returns to commentating on the match. The heated match up between Matthews and Helena continues on, but Helena is definitely a bit sharper as the time goes on. She looks as if she is about to finish Chuck off with a big finish but Gus circles round to the other side of the ring and pulls up to the apron with a steel chair, gathering the ref’s attention as he seems to be going to attack Helena. Before Noir dispatches him, Vain rushes the ring and lays her out herself from behind. Chuck has no idea what happened, but he takes advantage of the situation as he waits for Noir to stir to her feet. When she does, he charges in and nails Hollywood Impact (Spear)! Freedom continues as its champion, TJ Techniques, is standing by next to his locker room. There's no pomp and circumstances. There's no theatrics. He's not in the mood to sugarcoat anything. So he get straight to the point.
TJ Techniques: Look, y'all know me. Y'all know how I get down. I've never fronted. I've always stayed true. I've always kept it a buck and gave respect to those that deserved it. Quiet as kept? I probably gave respect to people that didn't deserve it, too. I gave it to the people that continued to lie on my name. I gave it to the people that talked out of both sides of they mouth. I gave it to people that tried to sneak diss on the low. I don't need to name names. Y'all know exactly who I'm talking about.
If you can put two and two together, it's obvious who TJ is referring to.
TJ Techniques: So what I'm gonna do is come out here and give respect where it's due. Precious Pepper Vain got herself a win over me and Helena Noir last week in a tag team match. But more importantly, I wanna single out the woman that got that pinfall last week. The woman that's gonna be facing me in the not too distant future for Old Glory right here.
TJ gestures to the Freedom Championship, which he's wearing proudly over his shoulder.
TJ Techniques: I'm talking about the woman that pinned my shoulders to the mat and that's you, Kaia.
TJ claps it up for the number one contender.
TJ Techniques: You went out there and made it happen, didn't you? You did what you had to do. That momentum you got from winning the 4-Way #1 Contenders match? Well, girl, you just added to it an a major way with a major win in a main event. You got one over on me and as much as I hate to lose... as long as it's to someone like yourself that shows respect? Then I'll hold that L with no problems.
TJ puts his hand up, indicating that he's about to make another point.
TJ Techniques: But don't worry. I'm not gonna do you like others did me. I'm not gonna brush off the loss as it simply being "just a tag match". I won't pass the buck and shift the blame to my partner last week. I won't get in front of this camera and give you the old, "well gee, Kaia, you got a win over me in a tag match, but can you really beat me one on one?" I'm not gonna do you like that. I know you're official and if there was anyone out there that still doubted you after all this time? You made em into believers last week.
TJ Techniques: Our time will come Kaia. But you, Mighty Sparrow? Brother, your time... is now.
The Freedom Champion shifts his attention to tonight's opponent.
YTJ Techniques: You know I gotta get in that ass, right? You know I gotta shake off that loss last week, right? Of course you do. You know I gotta come for you. You know I gotta bring that action. I've got some pent up frustrations due to some recent developments here and elsewhere. Unfortunately for you, my man, you're teh one that's standing across from me tonight. Which means that you're gonna be on the wrong end of this when it's all said and done. It's nothing personal, though. You know you're my guy. We've teamed up before and be it here or elsewhere, Dope Kicks will become a thing. Or maybe we'll settle on Technical Might. Who knows. But when we do link up and make it official? All tag team divisions far and wide will put on notice.
TJ lets the thought of him and Mighty Sparrow entering the tag ranks hang out in the air for a bit. He continues.
TJ Techniques: But that's down the road. Let's refocus on tonight. Sparrow, I've had nothing but respect for you from the jump. You're style is on point. Your fits are always hard. The way you carry yourself is admirable. When it comes to this wrestling thing, I do aight. I'm no Best in the World. Never claimed to be. But I do aight for myself. But when I peep your style and see what you can do inside that ring? It pushes me to be better. It pushes me to up my game. Shoot, you even got me in the kitchen trying to up my cooking game with your Searing With Sparrow series.
He lets out a chuckle.
TJ Techniques: Whether it's verbally said or not, I feel like you're always pushing me to be better. I hope that in turn, I've inspired you to do the same. This match tonight, it's not title for title. But when you look at that card and you see my name next to yours, I hope people see what that represents. Whether we had gold around our waists or not, you and I are both champions. This a match that's been on my wish list for a minute. I imagine you feel the same. So this one right here? We gotta show up, show out and show & prove what we're really all about. When we go out there tonight and we lay it all out on the table, we're not just doing this for Liberty Pro and giving them a great main event. We're not just doing this for the fans out there in the crowd. Nah, it's bigger than that. When we go out there and we go all out? We're doing this for the culture. "For the Tribe," as my man Dante Cutler would say. Win, lose or draw, it's all love, bro. It's all love. So let's go out there and show them how we do this.
