Vanessa Page vs Kassandra vs Coral

Vanessa Page vs Kassandra vs Coral
Danielle, Danae and Nami barred from ringside
RECAP With their partners banned from ringside, Vanessa, Kassandra, and Coral all look each other up and down. There would be no short term alliances formed however as all three women charge the center of the ring and begin to throw down! Coral, however, smartly drops down and slides out of the ring, watching Kassandra and Vanessa trade blows. Kassandra, being the veteran of the two and not afraid to bend the rules a bit, grabs Vanessa's hair and drags her down to the canvas as the referee was telling Coral to get back into the ring. This leads to Kassandra working over Vanessa for the next few minutes, until Coral decided to re-enter the ring and take advantage, being the freshest competitor in the match now. Coral nearly steals a win by rolling up Kassandra from behind but Kass kicks out. Coral screams and then scurries over to Vanessa who was still down. She tries to cover her but Vanessa also kicks out. This puts Coral in a tough spot because both of her opponents make it back to their feet and decide to target her next. They take turns forearming her in the face and Coral eventually falls down and crawls to the corner as Vanessa spears Kassandra and takes her down next. Now for the next few moments, its Vanessa's turn to take control. The Mic Drop brainbuster almost finishes Kassandra off, but the veteran has enough in her to get a shoulder up just before the three count. Coral is back in the mix now and she slides Kassandra out of the ring, wanting a shot at Vanessa on her own. Coral shows why she is a Liberty mainstay and even without her partner, she was putting in work! The fans actually get behind her for a moment due to how much momentum she has. With Vanessa down, Coral goes to the top turnbuckle and hits a senton! But before she can go for a pin, we look on the big screen and see all three partners of the girls brawling. It doesn't take long for that brawl to spill out onto the top of the entranceway. Coral neglects the pin, shouting at Nami to take it backstage when Kassandra sneaks back into the ring. She dumps Coral over the top rope and then yanks Vanessa up off the mat. Kassandra hits the WOLF SPIKE and makes the cover and from there it's all over with. BACKSTAGE
Coral looks super annoyed coming through the curtains to the back, her gaze going around to find her twin Nami standing back out of the way, KC on her hip as they look at the monitor. The not often if ever seen young boy waves at Coral with a Hi-C cooler in his hand, a sticky looking smile on him. That super annoyed look melts away at this, and Coral wipes the sweat off her face and arms with a washcloth before going to hug the little boy and nudge her twin. Despite her softened look and demeanor though, her words are a little harsh.
Coral: That match was wasteful. Can you imagine it?
A huff as Coral teases KC about taking a sip of his Hi-C before moving to snag a water bottle off a nearby craft table.
Coral: It’s bad enough that the vapid Greene twins are over in Valiant strutting around with tag titles… ugh.
Nami, who’s been silent until now shakes her head, wrinkling her nose adorably ala Bewitched, though she gently bounces KC and makes him giggle after.
Nami: Don’t worry about them. They may have titles now, but for how long? They’re lucky they’re even employed with how they are, but there’s no way they’re going to break our records. No fu… freaking way.
Coral nods but rolls her eyes, shaking her head for a second before she winds up again.
Coral: I know, you wanted an actual match against actual teams. Nami, it’ll happen. Besides, we’re going to get to face all of them eventually and prove what we always do.
She sighs, the adrenaline wearing off from the match and she winces a little as she tries to keep warmed up until she can shower and rest.
Coral: Come on, we’ve got to discuss some things, I’ll get cleaned up and we’ll take KC out so he can watch the rest of the show.
The twins link arms, teasing KC a little as they walk off and the camera cuts elsewhere.

RINGSIDE
Broken Dreams by Shaman's Harvest begins to play over the PA system as smoke fills the entrance
"What's that metronome I hear, perhaps the end is drawing near. You never hear the shot that takes you down"
"Now your dreams are memories.
Seems so true from far away.
Just like the smoke that fades
And makes no sound"
Eve O'Donnell steps through the smoke to a mixed reaction from the crowd. She strolls down the ramp, ignoring the fans.
"Out of time, so say goodbye
What is yours, now is mine
And I dream broken dreams
I make them come true
I make them for you
I make them for you"
The music continues as Eve enters the ring, she stands in the middle of the ring and motions for a microphone.
Eve O'Donnell: Alright, cut my music!
The crowd begins to boo as the music ends abruptly, Eve stands there for a few moments with a smirk on her face. She begins to speak once the crowd quiets down.
Eve O'Donnell: That's better, you're going to want to hear what I have to say. First off, allow me to introduce myself for those of you who don't know me. I am "The Goddess" Eve O'Donnell, I'm not here for you to like me, I'm not here for you to cheer me. I'm here for one reason, and that is to do what I do better than anyone else!
The crowd begins to boo loudly, Eve chuckles as she motions for more, finally she brings the microphone to her lips again.
Eve O'Donnell: To be honest I don't even know why I'm here on the "B show" anyway! I signed a contract with Lily Callaghan to be on Liberty, but it is what it is. It doesn't matter what brand I compete on, the fact remains that I am the baddest bitch in the locker room! I am the one everyone fears, I am the one no one wants to face!
The crowd begins to boo louder. Eve ignores them.
Eve O'Donnell: If you don't believe me, look me up. I have held titles in every company I have been in, I am the former and longest reigning WWR Battleground Champion, I am the current Slaugherthouse Brightburn Champion. I collect championships everywhere I go. It's only a matter of time before I hold a title in Liberty!
Eve makes a championship motion around her waist.
Eve O'Donnell: But you have to start somewhere right? Tonight it starts with a little piss ant named Antoinette. Unfortunately for her she drew the short straw, she gets to be the example, the proof that when I get in the ring, no one can hang with me.
Eve leans in the corner and smirks as she listens to the boos and jeers.
Eve O'Donnell: I have proven time and time again, nobody can out work me, nobody has the drive and determination that I have, I thrive under pressure, I fucking love it! Antoinette in just a short amount of time, you will see that unlike others? I back up my talk! I'm not one to run my mouth and not do what I say I'm gonna do! So if I say I'm gonna beat your ass Antoinette….it's going to happen!
Eve steps out of the corner, and looks into the camera.
Eve O'Donnell: Ant is a perfect nickname for you, they are annoying, they go where they don't belong, and in the end they get crushed. So, by all means lil ant step into my ring where you don't belong, it already annoys me that I have to even look at you. So that leaves me no choice but to crush you like the lil pissant you are! Tic toc bitch, your time is running out!
Eve tosses the microphone down, and exits the ring. She stops for a couple of moments to argue with a few fans who were heckling her. Finally she walks up the ramp and through the entrance as the camera slowly fades to black.

BACKSTAGE
“All I ever wanted to do was serve.”
The voice of Madeline Mason, “Jackal,” is heard in the darkness.
“My father was a Royal Marine. He spent twenty years in the service. He did his country proud. He was my hero.”
The word “DRAMATIZATION” flashes across the screen as the feed plays. A young blonde girl waves goodbye to a soldier as he climbs into a taxi. The background fades; the girl remains. A bedroom, with war memorabilia on the shelves, on the walls.
The scene changes. The young girl is older. She’s in uniform.
“My story was written long before I knew how to read it.”
A male soldier, shouting over gunfire, firing his rifle at an unseen enemy. The soldier falling to the ground, clutching his hip. The blonde girl, in combat armor, rushes to his side with her sidearm drawn. She takes aim and fires at the enemy with one hand, the other dragging the soldier to safety.
“I served my country, just as my father did. I lost friends. I lost family. But I made the world safer. I kept bad people from doing bad things. I did what was necessary. My only regret was that I couldn’t do more.”
There’s a heated argument going on, silent to the viewers. The woman looks irate, shouting at the soldier she’d just saved in the scene before. He appears bothered, but maintains his composure, sadly shaking his head and dismissing her. She looks ready to explode, but storms from the tent. The scene fades to the woman in her own makeshift bed. A man in a decorated uniform enters her tent, and she leaps to her feet at attention.
“Opportunity came where I least expected.”
The scene fades away, into Madeline Mason herself, not an actress, sitting in the locker room.
“Never in a hundred years would I have expected that my life, my experiences, my career choices, would eventually lead me to America where I’d be competing in a wrestling match. Like I said… opportunity comes where you least expect.”
She frowns. Madeline laces up her heavy boots.
“I asked for this assignment. I don’t think it’s any secret that I’m not just here to compete in a few wrestling matches. I think Miss Collins made it quite clear that I’m here on official SABER business. I have investigating to do. I have problems to solve.
That’s all my life has ever been, isn’t it? I help people. I keep bad people from doing bad things. And sometimes, you need to root out those bad people before you can stop them.”
She taps the heel of her foot anxiously.
“I’m not sure what it is I’ll find here in Liberty. Maybe we’ll get the answers we were sent here to find. Maybe this whole thing will turn out to be a dead end. But while I continue my work for SABER, I have work for Liberty to do as well. I have matches to take. I have opponents to fight. If all of this investigation turns out to be for nothing… at least I’ll have that. New experiences. New challenges.”
She pauses. Slowly, she stands, her impressive physique on display.
“New opportunities.”

MATCH TWO: SINGLES
Maxine Baxter vs Jackal
Maxine Baxter vs Jackal
RECAP Following up the chaotic opening triple threat, this second match was a high energy affair. Max knew she was outmatched physically but that doesn't stop her from taking it to the SABER SECURITY representative. Max hits a fast dropkick but Jackal just stumbles. A second dropkick sends Jackal back again, but as she bounces off the ropes, she charges forward and surprises Max with a clothesline. Jackal drops Maxine with a hanging, stalling fisherman's suplex and holds on for a pin but Maxine shows heart by kicking out. The last thing Baxter wanted was to start her career 0-2 after her loss to Seth Lawless, but Jackal was determined to make that happen. For the next few minutes, Jackal tries everything she can to put Max away, using her size advantage by displaying a wide range of power moves, but Max continues to kick out! The fans begin to rally behind her as she finally reverses a suplex. She ends up behind Jackal and goes for her BAXSTABBER but the very aware Jackal pulls away and Max crashes to the canvas. She slowly gets up, holding her back but Jackal just shakes her head. She plants Baxter into the Canvas with THE REGIMENT and from there the fans count along with the referee to the three, giving Jackal a very impressive and dominant win in her debut. BACKSTAGE
The scene opens up backstage of the Callaghan Warehouse in Brooklyn, live for the sixty-second episode of Liberation! As the scene opens up, we see Antoinette standing backstage, dressed in her ring gear for the evening. With a serious look on her face, she stands up tall with her arms crossed over her chest.
ANTOINETTE: “You see…I didn’t exactly do what I said I was going to do last time you all saw me…”
Antoinette frowns, tilting her head to the side as she scoffs out.
ANTOINETTE: “Not only did I lose my big “Welcome to Liberty!” match, but I also had to actually witness a real life BULLY try and intimidate one of the little ANTNATIOn members when she tried to buy a t- shirt!”
Being as overdramatic as ever with her shouting, Antoinette shakes her head and looks directly at the cameras.
ANTOINETTE: “I have a lot to go out there and prove tonight, especially after talking such a high game last time! And what better opponent to have tonight than Eve O’Donnell. Ya know…tonight is going to be a good night for more reasons than one. You see, with all of my matches and opponents I love giving the benefit of the doubt. Each time I step into the ring with an opponent I am lucky to get the chance to learn something new and give it my all! Especially in a place like Liberty? There is talent I’ve been watching and looking forward to getting the opportunity to face for some time! Eve, you still are one of those people regardless of your attitude problem.”
Antoinette smirks, giggling softly to herself as she nods her head.
ANTOINETTE: “You can threaten to beat my butt on social media all you want, you can passive aggressively wish me luck, it doesn’t change the fact that even though I respect you as a competitor, your attitude has made it very easy for me to want to walk into this match and let out all my frustrations I’ve been feeling. All the frustrations about letting down myself and my fans and my family. Every single frustration I’ve had about self sabotaging myself and my future because I’ve let losses get to me. Eve, tonight is about sending a message not only to you, but to everyone else who thinks I’m just an easy target here. For every single person who takes my kindness for weakness and looks at me not as a serious competitor and threat, but rather as some easy…insect to squash.”
Antoinette spits out fast with her words, shaking her head rolling her large, wide eyes. This is a new side of Antoinette, and it looks as if she’s as motivated as ever.
ANTOINETTE: “I may be queen of my antnation, but make no mistake about it, I am no squashable bug for all your enjoyment. I found myself at the top once and I know I’ll get there again. Liberty is a new home with new opportunities. I didn’t get my moment like I promised you all that we’d have, but tonight is that night. For all the weirdos and the people who felt like they didn’t belong. This…ANTWHOOPING Eve is about to get? This is for all of you.”
Antoinette says with a smirk, nodding her head before skipping out of the scene heading to her match.

MATCH THREE: SINGLES
Eve O'Donnell vs Antoinette
Eve O'Donnell vs Antoinette
RECAP The fans were cheering for Antoinette as the bell rang, and she didn't disappoint. Ant came out, showcasing her impressive speed, allowing her to avoid a clothesline attempt and then hit a spinning kick to the side of Eve's head in the blink of an eye. O'Donnell fell to the mat and crawled over to the corner, taking her time before pulling herself up and rubbing the side of her face. From there, Antoinette attempted to continue to use her speed to her advantage, going for a cartwheel splash in the corner but she missed and after she collided with the turnbuckle, Eve hit a Russian legsweep. Instead of going for a pin, she hit a few consecutive stomps to her chest for good measure. O'Donnell remained in control for the next few minutes, using whatever tactics she could to stay ahead. A timely rake of the eyes was enough to keep Antoinette down for a few moments. Antoinette fell victim to a sleeper hold, but was able to back Eve into the corner and ram her back against the turnbuckle to get the break. As Eve caught her breath, it gave Antoinette a moment to regain his own composure. Antoinette took advantage of O'Donnell being stunned, and hit a hurricanrana that drove her head right into the mat. A pin wasn't enough to put her away, but it didn't deter Antoinette from staying on the offensive. She picked up a second nearfall with a double rotation moonsault. Eve just barely was able to kick out. The tide of the match turned once again when NV Payton made her way down to the ring. Antoinette became distracted by this, especially when Payton jumped up onto the apron. Antoinette swung at NV but she dodged it and dropped down. When Antoinette turned back to Eve, Eve nailed her with Broken Dreams (Stunner)! She got the pin and the victory as the referee called for the bell. Dylan Shepherd: So here we go… The scene opens to Dylan Shepherd, the Liberty Pro Anarchy Champion, backstage at Liberation. He has a slick grin on his face as he pats the championship belt around his waist.
Dylan Shepherd: Ain’t so bad for a first night of work is it? Leaving with a nice shiny new championship to strut around in and all that fun shit. Not gonna go too much into that whole thing where Sparrow’s manager was flirting with me and getting me a bit distracted. I get it, I’m Devilishly Handsome and I’m going to have ladies trying to get my attention. That’s my bad.
He shrugs, that smile still on his face.
Dylan Shepherd: But I gotta get my attention on tonight with Avery Smith. And after doing some research, you know reading her Twitter and all that shit. I found that she’s a bit embarrassed being the first one eliminated first in the match. After her being all pep and sugar before hand with the people she likes to talk and how much it would mean to be Anarchy Champion again… Ooh.
He looks down at the championship around his waist and shrugs.
Dylan Shepherd: I guess you could come visit it every now and then? But in all seriousness, I do gotta thank Avery, Cait and Callie for beating on BLC for me until I got there to finish her off. They were the sundae that I was the cherry on top of. And you know, Avery seems like a sweetheart, so as much as it’s going to hurt me to do this to her, it’s going to hurt her even more in that match when I gotta drop her on her precious little head.
He takes the championship belt off his waist and puts it on his shoulder.
Dylan Shepherd: Keepin up appearances and all.
He winks at the camera and walks off.

Dante Chapel walked up to a determined Avery Smith, who was heading to the ring for her match. He stopped her for a brief moment.
Dante Chapel: Avery! Do you have anything to say about going up against Dylan tonight?
Avery looked over at Chapel and nodded.
Avery Smith: I have one thing to say. A lot of people forget the things that I have done here in Liberty Pro. I’ve won championships, won big matches at the supershows. I’ve done a lot. I’ve been here since the beginning. But it still isn’t enough. I’ll go out there and beat the Anarchy Champion. Then I’ll keep on moving up. This Avery Smith isn’t going to be like the one from before. Trust me.
She walked off, heading towards the ring as the scene cut away.

MATCH FOUR: SINGLES
Dylan Shepherd vs Avery Smith
Dylan Shepherd vs Avery Smith
RECAP The bell rang and it did not take long for Dylan to charge towards Avery, taking her down with a lariat. Avery was quickly back on her feet and as she lunged up towards Dylan, she caught him with a Lou Thesz Press. Avery threw a few punches to the side of Dylan's head before she picked Dylan back up to his feet. Avery whipped Dylan into the corner, forcing him to crash against the ropes. Dylan slouched in the corner and Avery charged in after him and attempted a spear, but Dylan leapt out of the way causing Avery to connect her shoulder with the steel post instead. Avery pushed herself from the corner and grabbed onto her shoulder in obvious pain. Dylan quickly went on the offensive and took advantage, grabbing Avery by her hair and then delivering several knees into Avery's chest before hooking his arm around her head and dropping Avery down with a DDT. Dylan attempted a pin, but Avery kicked out before the three count. Dylan got back to his feet, momentarily holding up three fingers, telling the referee that it was three, until Avery tried to push herself to her feet and recover. Dylan noticed and he reverted his attention back to Avery. The Anarchy Champion quickly took Avery back down with a running knee to the head. Avery laid on her back and Dylan began to drop a flurry of elbows down onto Avery’s chest. Dylan picked a dazed and confused Avery Smith up from the canvas and pushed her into the corner, driving several hard elbow shots into Avery's face. Dylan then followed this up by delivering a knee to Avery's gut before delivering several more. Dylan continued to control the match for several minutes, going for several pinfalls but Smith wouldn’t stay down. No, she was feeling different tonight. Her fight wouldn’t let up. The match changed when Dylan went for CANNONBALL! (Running Corner Cannonball with opponent on his back.) but Avery rolled out of the way! Avery wasted no time, hitting Dylan with "Spinning Around" - Wrist lock transitioned into a short-arm bicycle knee strike! She pinned and got the three count!! She celebrated her victory, knowing how much it meant to beat a champion. She then pointed outside the ring at the Anarchy Champion, saying that she’s coming for it. KAREN WILLOW
“Eighteen, nineteen, and twenty. All set!”
Karen Willow, god help us all, is backstage at Liberty. This time around she’s got a table set up, complete with clipboards and several names written down along with dollar amounts. Behind her is the card for tonight, some matches scratched out while others show odds next to wrestlers names. And in her hand is money-
Oh. It’s a betting pool. Neat.
KAREN WILLOW
“Alright, so that’s Derrick with 1:2 odds, Melissa at a surprising 3:1, Brianna as the odds favorite to win her match, and… NV at 2:1. And given her twitter timeline, that’s the one that’s gonna make me the most money if she wins. So might have to swing the favor in her corner..”
Karen trails off, lost in thought for a moment before shrugging to herself.
KAREN WILLOW
“Ah, she’s got it. Not like NV can’t handle herself out there. She’s fighting some dork named Markus Fork. If she loses I’d bully her for weeks.”
You missed her, didn’t you? I know she missed this place. It really brings out the best in her. Like the shit eating grin that adorns her face as she puts the cash away in the lockbox. Can never be too careful these days.
KAREN WILLOW
“Still might do it. I find myself with some free time as of late.”
And for a moment, the façade fades, the mask slips, and we see the real Karen Willow. The Karen Willow that glances off to the side, biting at the corner of her lip as she softly exhales. The Karen Willow who’s facial features soften, who can’t seem to face us. Closing her eyes, she lets out a short huff before opening them, that mischievous glint back in as she smirks.
KAREN WILLOW
“Probably not though. I’ve got bigger fish to fry. I’ve got mountains to climb and championships to attain, and I can’t do that acting on a whim and annoying people just to get a few laughs in. This isn’t 2019 and I’m just.. not that girl anymore. I’ve really grown and matured since then.”
You can tell she’s serious by the faux modest look on her face. Or by her history dating back to her last run here. For all her bluster she really has done quite a bit.
KAREN WILLOW
“2019, I made an impact here. 2021, I proved I wasn’t just a loud mouth, that I could back it up. And now, 2022? New year? I prove that I can fucking run this place as champ. Don’t care if it’s Derrick or Melissa or Max or whoever. I might be running everyone’s pockets and lining my own right now, but soon? Karen Willow’s coming, and I’m coming for the top.”
And with that, Karen grabs the lockbox, glancing around briefly before walking off with the cash. She doesn’t spare a second glance at the remnants of her illegal betting pool, instead moving through a set of double doors, giggling to herself the entire time.

NV Payton vs Markus FK
NV Payton vs Markus FK
RECAP Markus was heading to the ring but before he could make it there, NV Payton appeared from behind with a steel chair! She had cost Antoinette her match earlier in the night and now she slammed a steel chair in the back of Markus! The big man grimaced in pain but didn’t fall. NV slammed it in his back again, practically bending it in half. Markus dropped to one knee and Payton went to slam the chair down on his head, looking to cause some REAL damage but NO! Antoinette grabbed the chair away from behind! Antoinette isn’t known for using weapons on anyone throughout her career, but this was different. NV tried to hurt Markus. Antoinette swung the chair at Payton’s face but she ducked it before jumping over the guardrail into the crowd. NV then looked back at Antoinette and smirked before waving at her. Ant dropped the chair and shook her head before checking in on Markus. He seemed okay, just a bit shaken up. It appears though that this match isn’t happening. Brianna Clark: Hey Dylan Shepherd? Don’t forget what they say about crowns and resting easy, because you’re going to get sonned out there and you and I both know it. You might be cute enough to turn some heads, not mine, but some? Anyway, I digress though! Contrary to popular belief, I’m actually happy with that match - I wasn't expecting a gauntlet but I still ran through everybody until you, and almost you too.
She drops a wink then and the camera draws back to see her dressed and ready for her upcoming match, and she reaches up to double check her hair before she grabs up one of her signature ring jackets and stretches before sliding it on.
Brianna Clark: You might remember in the past, how much focus I put on gaining the Gotham Championship. I mean, wow. In my eyes back then, it was the biggest thing I could reach for. Now I’m not saying it isn’t still important because it absolutely is - as long as Max Cerrano holds it with a tyrant grip? It’s a thing to be chased after, as hard as you can. Because honestly nothing less than someone’s beyond best effort is going to get that thing off him.
A small sigh, but then she shakes her head and that sassy grin she’s capable of comes back.
Brianna Clark: The worst part about how full of himself Max Cerrano is, is the fact he’s really damn good. No matter what’s gone on, if you study him, he’s got a more solid foundation than he’s given credit for - not that he wants people to give him credit, he just hates everyone.
A shrug as she heads towards the door, a pause as her hand touches the frame.
Brianna Clark: Seth Lawless, remember him? I do. I remember that he’s a man who has that rollercoaster career path, full of ups and downs. He’s mad confident though, like nothing dents his belief in himself? He’s been humbled before though, and I gotta wonder if that eats at him. If that’s what’s causing him to look past me and Lochlan Rivers, straight at Cerrano, and declaring for that Gotham Championship. I mean, I’ve said it on Twitter. Good luck.
Her grin twisted, but it was still sassy as she held up an arm for a big flex.
Brianna Clark: None of us have a guaranteed outcome here, but remember - he’s watching us. You wanna get mad though? Watch the replay and hear for yourself exactly what he thinks about you. Being real, that’s been a huge motivator for me for the last few months. Showing him that he’s wrong about me. But… you’ll see.
A rueful look before she laughs and heads on out.

The camera comes into focus. It’s a lonely area of the building where Liberty stored extra equipment and props. The roster had no need to come here, and even most staff didn’t frequent this area once the show was up and running; all the equipment for the show had long been set up. It was strange, then, to hear a voice coming from the darkened hallways of the storage room. Even stranger still, that the voice belonged to Jackal, one of Liberty’s new signees, and an agent for SABER Security Solutions.
Jackal: “This is Sergeant Madeline Mason, calling with an update.”
There’s a voice at the other end, but the camera is too far to pick up on what it’s saying. Madeline doesn’t seem to notice.
Jackal: “I may have found something. I’ll send the full report with details, but… I have reason to believe Callaghan is making a move very soon.”
A short pause.
Jackal: “I can’t say for sure, but… this could be very bad.”
Another pause while the voice at the other end replied. Madeline nodded.
Jackal: “No, no backup needed yet. I need to look into this further.”
A pause.
Jackal: “Yes ma’am. I’ll get right on it. In the meantime… have the techs been able to track the numbers I sent?”
She frowns at the response.
Jackal: “No, I understand… it’s just very strange. There’s just not much we can go off of with his ex-wife, but we have plenty on Callaghan, and it just feels… off. None of this seems to match his methods, and it feels like he’s going to great lengths to keep something hidden.”
She runs a hand through her hair, looking flustered.
Jackal: “Could be. He’s in distress, as much as he says he isn’t. Ex-wife coming back out of nowhere is bound to have an effect… but I feel like there’s a piece missing here. He’s making some strange moves. And if this new development holds any weight… Liberty could be in trouble.”
The voice replies. Jackal sighs.
Jackal: “Absolutely. I’ll have the full report in tonight with everything I’ve uncovered.”
She allows a small smile.
Jackal: “Yes, of course. It’ll get done.”
The camera slips away before she can turn around and discover its presence. The show cuts back to the action.

Lochlan Rivers vs Seth Lawless vs Brianna Leigh Clark
RECAP Seth, Brianna and Lochlan start the match with a stare down. Seth talks the most trash as Lochlan and Brianna look at each other and smile. Seth then throws his hands up and tells them to bring it on and Bri and Lochlan charge at him and both begin to reign down strikes on the bald veteran. Seth pushes Lochlan away, but Brianna lifts Seth and drops him for an impressive body slam, shaking the ring as Seth arches his back upon impact and rolls towards the corner. Lochlan then gets the attention of Brianna and the two nod in mutual respect of each other before tying up. Brianna lifts him up next and hits the same body slam on Rivers as well! The fans go wild as she hits a legdrop. She goes for a cover but Seth is there to pull her off. From there, Seth returns the earlier body slam, hitting one of his own on Clark. Brianna tries to crawl away, but Seth lets her get to the ropes, just so he can put his boot on her throat and pull on the top rope for added leverage. The fans boo this dirty tactic as the referee begins to count. He gets to a 4 count before Seth breaks the hold, holding his hands in the air with a smile, not wanting to get disqualified. Seth's experience gives him an advantage here as he tells the referee to check on Lochlan and as the referee does, Seth is able to grab the top rope again and put his boot back on Bri's throat for another ten seconds, letting go just before the ref turns around. Seth gets a little too cocky however and Lochlan was back on his feet. He surprises Seth from behind, grabbing him and hitting Phoenix Rising! That's it! 1 2 .... Bri grabs Lochlan's foot and pulls him off of what would have been a sure win! Lochlan has words for Bri as they both stand up. He shoves Bri and she shoves him back. Lochlan then screams and leaps at Bri. The two stumble back and fall between the top and middle rope, spilling to the floor. They stand up and continue to brawl as Seth makes his way out of ring to join them. Max Cerrano notes about how chaotic this match has gotten as Seth jumps up on Bri and Lochlan but they shrug him off and towards the announce table. Seth hits his elbow on the table and stands up, irritated. He turns and looks at Max and slaps him in the face. The fans are on their feet now as Cerrano stands up. Bri and Lochlan then spill over into the table and bump Cerrano as well. Max has had enough and he begins to go off on all three of them, getting his shots in as the fans go crazy! Max drops all three and looks around as the fans boo before he decides he's seen enough, but not before getting an extra stomp in to Seth's head on the floor. Lawless was out! Bri meanwhile is rolled back into the ring by Rivers. With just the two of them in the ring, Lochlan can taste victory. He' stalking the groggy Clark who stumbles to her feet slowly. The fans are behind Lochlan as he charges at Bri. FROM THE ASHES...NO! Bri ducked it! She counters with the PUNCH INTO ROW Z! Rivers crumbles to the canvas and Bri hooks a leg as Lawless was still down and out on the floor. Bri picks up the three count and is the new number one contender for the Gotham championship! Pacing back and forth, The Liberty Champion goes back and forth in his private room backstage. Sitting in a chair in the corner of the room is his girlfriend, Mimi, just watching him pace around the dressing room. Derrick looks at his phone as he is currently in a heated Twitter battle with some key names on the Freedom Roster. Mimi stares at him with concern, as she raises a hand to stop him.
Mimi: Bam Bam, relax. You’re stressing me out just watching you go around the room like that.
Derrick tosses his phone towards his duffle bag and groans.
Derrick: Nah, I can’t relax.
He turns to his girlfriend.
Derrick: I am the Liberty Champion. I am THE guy for this brand. I’m supposed to be carrying us into Champion vs Champion matches and standing tall, because Liberty is nothing without Liberation. It’s why we are on episode 64 and Freedom is on episode 12.
Mimi: And you ARE all of that!
Mimi smiles at her boyfriend, but Derrick does not reciprocate. He’s still too aggravated to calm down.
Derrick: Am I though? How am I supposed to carry this company, when in a match that was supposed to UNIFY these brands, I end up falling short.
Mimi: Nobody could have seen your boss’ zombie wife return and invade the company! Who can predict a zombie invasion, Bam Bam?
Derrick pauses, because of how ridiculous Mimi sounded, but it isn’t enough to break his frustration.
Derrick: That's not the point, Mimi. It ain't about Lily. It ain’t about Blyss. This is about what these brands and their titles represent and the fact that that BOTH of Freedom's wins were dirty. I know people keep saying TJ didn’t know, he didn’t know, but look around. Blyss standing on the apron, but he don’t know? Lily Callaghan at the entrance ramp clapping, but he don’t know? Dude’s silent for almost a week about the match and then has the audacity to say I’m just having a tantrum. But he didn’t know, right?
La’Bell shakes his head.
Derrick: Nah, that don’t sit right with me. If the shoe was on the other foot, I would instantly be chewing people out, but instead, he just blames me and says I'm in my feels? That really sounds like an innocent party to you? I hope that entire roster knows we here at Liberation see them for what they are. They’re that dirty B Show that needed every helping hand they could find simply because Nate’s baby mama is mad. Furthermore, the fact that they walked onto the A SHOW, disrespected this company, this brand, and our titles in OUR ring is beyond dirty, and I speak for all of Liberation when I say they got a receipt coming.
He takes a deep breath, because he’s just honestly tired of being angry about the events of Liberation 63. Mimi looks up at him and grabs his wrist, and Derrick finally decides to take a seat next to his girl.
Derrick: I will say this though. If TJ was speaking the truth, and he really was oblivious to all the obvious shit going down, then fine. I forgive the man, I’ll take the moral L, because IF Teej is the man he says he is, then I know he’s gonna want to run it back just as bad as I do.
Mimi reaches behind her, grabs a bubblegum soda, and hands it to Derrick.
Mimi: You need to stop worrying about that other brand, Bammers. Plus… promise not to get mad… I may have watched Freedom last night while you were busy training and I can confirm that Teddy JS Technique DOES want to run it back soon, and had a WHOLE lot to say about Ms. Zombie Lady and her evil brain-eating minion. So, I think you’re safe to stop being mad about that now.
Derrick opens the bubblegum soda, takes a drink, and lets out a big satisfied sigh. Mimi places her hand on Derrick and smiles real big at him.
Mimi: Doesn’t Bubblegum Soda just make everything better?
Derrick nods in agreement as he takes another sip of the sweet elixir.
Derrick: Yea, it really does. And skipping over the fact you watch the rival brand, this soda also reminds me that, even though I feel like I let my brand down and I feel disrespected Freedom as a whole, I know this ain’t finna last. I've proven time and time again I do inevitably rise to the occasion and assert my dominance when it's needed, and that time has come once again. Tonight is the night I remind people why I am THE top champ of Liberty Pro, brand or no brand.
Mimi: Because you’re facing Mellie Reeves?
Another nod from the beast as he finishes the last of his Bubblegum soda and places it behind him.
Derrick: Absolutely! Mellisa Reeves is a pioneer of this company. Before it was me and Tamsin beating the shit out of each other all over NYC, it was Melissa Reeves and Becky Balfour doing the exact same thing. She’s the OG and I respect the shit out of Reaver for the foundation she laid out for this company. She used to hold this shit down in Season One, and now that she is back, there is nobody I would rather test my skills against. It’s like the old guard vs the new, and I know that when I beat her, nobody will be questioning my reign or my position in this company ever again!
Derrick takes a minute to reflect on his own rise in Liberty Pro. He thinks of when he started in “Season 2”, where he had just started making a name for himself in wrestling as a whole as he and former Liberty Champion Tamsin started their landmark feud. And how could he forget “Season Three” where he attained the Anarchy Championship, the Liberty in the Bank “Championship”, The Tag Team Championship with former Liberty Champion Honey, and then finally came full circle in beating Tamsin for the Liberty Championship. He had come such a long way from where he began and is proud to now be an established pillar of the company.
You can hear Mimi’s voice in the background as he continues to reminisce about his journey. Mimi starts to snap to break his concentration and bring him back from his flashback limbo.
Mimi: Derr…ick! Derr…ick! Derr…ick!
Derrick finally snaps out of it.
Mimi: Did you hear what I said?
Derrick: Nah, my bad, I was caught in like a mental montage or something. Repeat that?
Mimi: I was asking you if you were ready to go prove to everyone that my Bam Bam is the strong handsome man who carries Liberty on his back?
Derrick smiles and gives her a kiss.
Derrick: I’ve been ready. Let's go show everyone what the top champ on the best brand can do! WITHOUT INTERFERENCES THIS TIME!!!
Derrick and Mimi both stand up and head towards the door, but Mimi stops and grabs two more bubble gum sodas for the road!

BACKSTAGE
In a pre-recorded segment, Melissa Reeves is shown walking the streets of Brooklyn. Cut to her sitting on some steps in a quiet alley.
Melissa Reeves: It's been a while since I was in New York. Used to be home, used to be so familiar. Last week I was drawn here again. It wasn't the homecoming I wanted. She shakes her head.
Cut to footage of Emery Layton and her doing battle, with Emery ultimately victorious.
Melissa: It happens. You win, you lose, you then look forward to the next challenge. My next challenge is one Derrick La'Bell. I know you're all familiar with him. He is, for those who somehow don't know, the Liberty Champion.
Cut to images of him winning that title, way back in April of 2021. Melissa: Current champ vs former champ, I get it. We're here to draw eyes in, and we will. But it's more than that. She offers a very slight smirk.
Melissa: For me this is a chance to remind everyone who I am. Liberty's had a long history now. The roster assembled is fantastic, as good as anywhere else going. But before most of them were ever here, there was me. Before the company was big enough to draw these talents, there was me here - building it up. Before Anyone else here ever got a sniff at the Liberty Title, there was me holding it for damn near half a year.
She stands now.
Melissa: Now I'm back, here to reclaim my rightful place. Older, stronger, faster, better. I did it once before, I'll do it again. Tonight may only be a singles match but when I take that win, it's a step toward my end goal.
Walking toward the camera, she doesn't hide the smirk anymore.
Melissa: Just try and stop me.
End.

MAIN EVENT: SINGLES
Derrick La’Bell vs Melissa Reeves
Derrick La’Bell vs Melissa Reeves
RECAP The match began with Derrick La'Bell attempting a grapple with Melissa, but the savvy striker hit a kick to the midsection instead. La'Bell wasnt phased much by it, until he was hit with a second kick to the same area, this one bending him over. Reeves went for a ddt, but La'Bell pushed her away. Melissa now charged at La'Bell who tossed her up to the air, but Reeves had a counter ready, hitting a dropkick as she fell back down from the air. The battle between Liberty Champion and former Liberty Champion was off to a great start, setting the pace for the match. Reeves would hit a knee drop followed by a lightning quick leg drop on La'Bell, but a pinning attempt would only gain her a one count. The veteran pushed himself to his feet and blocked a spin kick attempt from Reeves. Holding one of her legs, he hoisted her into the air and dropped her with a modified powerbomb. Instead of going for a pin, La'Bell took the time to drop to a knee himself and recover a bit. The fans were already into this match, cheering for the both of them, but wanting Melissa to get up. As Melissa finally made it to her feet, she was leveled with a brutal clothesline from the larger opponent. Derrick went for a cover and picked up a two count. Derrick went for an elbow drop next but Reeves was able to roll out of the way, leaving both competitors on the mat. Reeves made it to her feet first and stepped out onto the ring apron. From there, Melissa scaled to the top turnbuckle and waited for Derrick La'Bell to make it to his feet. As he did, Reeves flew into the air and connected with a picture perfect flying crossbody. She hooked his leg in one fluid motion but only got a two count. Reeves got off of Derrick and remained focused. She knew she had a chance to close this match out. La'Bell groggily rose to his knees only to be grabbed quickly by Reeves and taken to the mat with a floatover ddt and pinfall attempt that again only earned Reeves a two count. The resiliency of Derrick La'Bell was on full display and Melissa was beginning to show signs of fatigue, but not frustration. She rolled off of him and to her feet, grabbing Derrick with her and pulling him up. As both were on their feet, La'Bell surprised Reeves by shoving her off of him. She then took two steps forward and was hit by a big boot that sent her to the mat. La'Bell fell on top of her and picked up a very close near fall two count. La'Bell rolled off of Reeves and surprisingly Reeves pulled herself to the ropes again, and scaled to the top but La’Bell followed. He grabbed Mel and he dropped her with a SUPERPLEX! The fans were going nuts over these two. Derrick got an arm over Melissa’s chest for the pin but she kicked out right before the three count. La’Bell picked Melissa up and threw her to the ropes. When she came back, he went for Prodigy in Motion (Spirit Bomb/ Pop-Up Sit-Out Last Ride) but she countered it with a hurricanrana! Derrick popped back up to his feet but Reeves dropped him with Magnitude Nine (Black Mass) out of desperation, as she was completely exhausted. She pinned La’Bell and picked up the three count and the win over the Liberty Champion! WINNER Melissa Reeves METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 19:10 FINISHING MOVE Magnitude Nine |
BACKSTAGE
We cut backstage to Nathan Callaghan sitting in his chair in his office. The room is pitch black with a singular light being shone down on him. He didn’t have his leather jacket or his bat, those were taken by Lily, along with his pride.
Nathan Callaghan: I gave you everything, Lily. And then what did you do? What the fuck did you do? You pretended to die so you could run away. You want to blame me and start some bullshit rumors? Like it was my fault you chose to do whatever it is you did the last ten years? It’s my fault you broke my heart and you broke your four boys' hearts as well? No. They’ll soon see your selfish ways. They’ll see your destructive ways.
Nathan scoffed and shook his head.
Nathan Callaghan: But you were just an innocent elementary school teacher, right? Right? No, I know your demons. I know what you’re capable of. You’re not here to help Liberty. You’re here to kill it and stick it to me. You’re here to kill MY CREATION!
Nathan slammed his hand down on the desk and practically growled.
Nathan Callaghan: But I won’t let that happen. No, I won’t let you kill this. I won’t let you have your way. If anyone is going to kill anything, it’s going to be me. You want to talk about poison?
The owner of Liberation began to cackle.
Nathan Callaghan: Poison is what I am? No. I am not poisonous. But I know what it’s like. I’ve been bitten by it a few times, especially here. And the worst poison of them all? I’m going to unleash it on all of you and when you all get infected by it and begin to die off one by one by it? Don’t blame me. Blame all of this on Lily Callaghan. So, for those of you who chose Freedom? I’m sorry you were steered there but your end is inevitable now thanks to Lily. Say goodbye to your livelihood and say hello to…
The lights of the room turn on and WHAT IS THIS!? Standing behind Nathan Callaghan is… Seth Lawless and Warren Corbett of #TheSociety! Suddenly, a woman’s laughter can be heard. Appearing between Seth and Warren now is none other than BECKY BALFOUR! The original three of #TheSociety is back together. Nathan began to laugh maniacally before the scene cut away. What a way to end the show.
