BACKSTAGE
The scene cuts backstage where the Anarchy Champion, Dylan Shepherd is seen in his locker room. The championship belt sits near the door as he is stacking up some Lego blocks, currently unsure what is being built. He keeps placing pieces, not looking at the camera.
Dylan Shepherd: Okay so we got the Socialites, which the name in itself is ridiculous for this industry since we are like what, four generations removed from this being a side show act at the circus and you want to call yourselves the Socialites. That’s fine, you being the Socialites of wrestling and that’s like being the hot waitress at Dennys. You still work at Dennys you Grand Slam serving bitches.
He lets out a chuckle and shakes his head before turning and looking at the camera.
Dylan Shepherd: Now before you get all high and mighty with the you’re a wrestler too talk, yes… I am. I am a Devilishly Handsome one at that. I have a natural gift at causing pain, discomfort and joy all at the same time. But you don’t see me tying a pretty bow on it and being some prissy priss where what my team name is my entire personality, do ya?
He turns back to the legos.
Dylan Shepherd: I took these out cause I didn’t think I needed them tonight. It being a tag match and all and not my more specialty in hardcore. But normal matches will do, I’m still trained in all that technical skills stuff. No real drop off if I don’t get to bring some toys in the ring.
He lets out a sigh.
Dylan Shepherd: Look at that. Forgot a foundation Lego. This whole building isn’t on solid ground. It’s almost like that piece was Avery and she hasn’t shown up yet. Am I being too subtle? You know, I’ll try my best at this but if she don’t show, well, that’s going to make things a bit harder for myself, huh?
He pushes over the legos and shakes his head.
Dylan Shepherd: Unfortunately for the Socialites, this match isn’t about them. This match was booked with Avery and myself as partners when we just faced and will probably face again. So it doesn’t matter about that foundation, it doesn’t matter about the Socialites. All that matters is me, Avery and her thirst for my Anarchy Championship. So sorry for everyone thinking this was something more than that. See you out there.
He gets up and grabs his belt on the way out of locker room.

The Socialites walk up to Dante Chapel in the interview area. Both Vanessa and Danielle smile at Dante.
Vanessa Page:Yes, you’ll do. We couldn’t in good consciousness let that lanky pathetic uggo Tim Anderson talk to us.
“Diamond Princess” Danielle Page:What my sister is saying is you are hot.
Dante chuckles.
Dante Chapel:Thank you, ladies. Getting a compliment from two beautiful ladies always makes my day.
Vanessa Page:When Danielle and I heard the resurrection of Liberty was happening we got very excited because it was a chance for us to wrestle at home in New York but we knew Liberty’s first go around was any indication that we would fill a void in the tag team division.
Dante Chapel:What would that be, ladies?
“Diamond Princess” Danielle Page:As we have been saying since we signed Liberty we knew that despite those silly Girls of Summer say over on Freedom that it was V and I that are the true top team in Liberty no matter which brand.
Vanessa Page:Which obviously starts with us becoming Liberty Tag Team Champions. So you can go ahead and put us against a new team that was just thrown together or a team that has worked together for years it will be no different to us.
“Diamond Princess” Danielle Page: Us winning the tag team titles will only be the beginning of our plan here in Liberty. Byeee!
Vanessa walks away and Danielle motions for Dante to call her as she walks away.

MATCH ONE: TAG
Socialites vs Dylan Shepherd & Avery Smith
Socialites vs Dylan Shepherd & Avery Smith
RECAP For the beginning parts of this match, Dylan and Avery seemed to get along and they even had the Socialites on the ropes for a bit. But things took a turn when Avery tagged herself in when Shepherd was getting backed into a corner by Danielle Page. Avery was on fire, she took down Danielle and she took out Vanessa as well! Avery really wanted to prove herself here but Danielle got her with a poke to the eyes. The Socialites took back control of the match and they almost ended with a double clothesline but Avery ducked it. She came back from the ropes and she took The Socialites out with a kick to each one! Smith then went to her corner to tag in Dylan but he wasn’t there!! Avery turned around and BAM! Dylan laid her out with his Anarchy Championship! He held the belt over her and told her she could never touch his championship. He then exited the ring and the Socialites were able to get the pin and the win. WINNER The Socialites METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 6:32 FINISHING MOVE Belt shot to face |
BACKSTAGE
Freedom’s own Syn is walking backstage, dressed in a Misfits hoodie that’s way too big for her and a pair of ripped jeans. She’s happily slurping her drink through a straw when a baseball bat enters the frame just beneath her chin and stops her dead in her tracks. On the other end of the bat stands Nathan Callaghan, cautiously eyeballing the interloper.
Nathan: I know you. You come here looking to mess up my show? Did Lily send you?
He lets the bat float upward, gently raising her chin.
Nathan: Where is he, huh? Where’s the fat man? I know he’s part of the plan.
Syn: I’m just here to…
Nathan: Shhhhh.
Nathan begins to sniff the air.
Nathan: I’m onto you. I know he’s here.
Nathan spins and swings the bat, crushing a trash barrel that was directly behind him, sending garbage in every direction.
Nathan: AH HA!
He scrunches his brow as he realizes all he’s done is make a mess.
Syn: You know he couldn’t have fit in there, right?
Nathan pivots and the bat goes right back under Syn’s chin.
Nathan: Don’t sass me little girl. Why’s that sweatshirt so big? What are you hiding under there?
Syn’s brow arches.
Syn: Because it’s not my sweatshirt and I’m pretty sure I can’t fit another person under here, let alone a four hundred pounder who’s at least a foot taller than me.
Nathan uses the bat to poke at the extra material of the sweatshirt while Syn rolls her eyes.
Nathan: Dear god you’re tiny.
Syn pushes the bat away from her midsection with a glare.
Syn: Are we done here?!
Nathan: No!
The bat goes right back under her chin, this time lifting her head even higher.
Nathan: What’s in the cup, are you even old enough to drink?
Syn: I’m twenty-two!
Nathan: Yeah, okay. Easy there Taylor Swift.
Syn: And it’s not booze, it’s a freakin’ boba tea.
Nathan snatches the drink from her hands and slurps through the straw before making a face.
Nathan: That’s fucking disgusting!
He takes the cup and tosses it into the trash heap as Syn watches, crestfallen.
Syn: I just bought that.
Nathan: I did you a favor, kid. Now tell me why you’re here.
Syn lifts her hand, displaying her backstage bracelet.
Syn: Because I was invited.
Nathan squints at it.
Nathan: Looks authentic. Who invited you?
Syn: Becky.
The bat prods a little harder.
Nathan: So you’re with them?
Syn: No, I’m with her. This is her sweatshirt.
Nathan’s brow furrows.
Nathan: Wait, you’re with her, with her?
Syn nods and smiles brightly but as Nathan bursts out laughing that smile fades.
Syn: What’s so funny?
Nathan puts a hand on her shoulder to support himself as he laughs. After taking a moment to catch his breath he responds.
Nathan: You took the temperature of this place, saw how much hate she generates and decided that dating her was the way to go?! Kid you just painted the biggest bullseye on your back. Congratulations, you’re now officially the easiest way to get to her. You’ve got guts though.
He taps her on the shoulder with the bat and she immediately snatches it from his hand, shoving it up between his legs, stopping just short of his nether regions. Nathan inhales sharply and smiles down at her.
Nathan: Easy now. Let’s not do anything you’ll regret.
Syn arches her brow.
Syn: I’ll regret?
Nathan clears his throat and shifts uncomfortably.
Nathan: Fine. Anything we’ll both regret.
Syn spins the bat away from his crotch and then shoves it back into his hands, leaning in close as she does so.
Syn: You owe me a boba tea.
She releases the bat and walks away as Nathan calls after her.
Nathan: I can see that bullseye from here!

Madeline Mason: “Commander.”
The camera opens to Madeline standing at attention, saluting someone off camera. The camera circles around and the fans erupt into applause at the imposing Reaper, a fan favorite from Valiant Pro, and a fellow agent of SABER Security Solutions. Reaper waves off her gesture.
Reaper: “Ain’t your commander anymore, Mason. No need for that.”
Madeline Mason: “Force of habit.”
She looks from the near-seven footer, down to Chloe, who barely comes up to Reaper’s waist from her seat in her wheelchair.
Madeline Mason: “You got my report?”
Chloe Collins: “I felt it may be important to have some extra muscle. Added precaution, of course.”
Reaper rolls his neck, which cracks audibly, and he shrugs his shoulders to loosen up his joints.
Reaper: “Solid work on your part, uncovering the Society plot. Unfortunate that we couldn’t get to it quicker, we could have stopped it before it started.”
Madeline shakes her head.
Madeline Mason: “If I’m being honest, I feel like it was almost by chance that I came across it… there were a lot of barriers. Like Nathan was covering his tracks.”
Chloe barely glances up from reading her tablet; it appears she’s uploaded most of her files to a handheld device, rather than lugging around a briefcase full of paper files.
Chloe Collins: “Covering tracks is typically an indication that one doesn’t want others to know where he’s been. There are a lot of skeletons in Nathan Callaghan’s closet. We need to dig them out. Where are we with Lily Callaghan?”
Madeline Mason: “Not far. Getting into Freedom shows isn’t easy.”
Chloe Collins: “You took out an Iranian arms dealer in his living room without raising an alarm, and you’re telling me that you can’t get into a wrestling show?”
Madeline Mason: “I’m not prepared to shoot my way out of a wrestling show.”
Chloe opens her mouth to respond, but cedes the point.
Chloe Collins: “Fortunately for you, we may have business with Freedom very soon. That said, this battle between the Callaghan’s is heating up. Keep on your guard, I expect Lily Callaghan will be looking to retaliate for what happened last night. In the meantime… work the sons. They know more than they’re letting on.”
Madeline Mason: “And the Society?”
Chloe Collins: “They’re crafty. They’re finding ways to get into Freedom shows, and if THEY can do it and we can’t… I want to know how.”
Madeline Mason: “Yes ma’am.”
Reaper: “Something’s not right about it. Callaghan and Balfour don’t play nice together. Callaghan has to have something on her… something that’s keeping her in line.”
Madeline Mason: “What do we have on Balfour?”
Chloe Collins: “Quite a bit.”
Reaper frowns at the mention of Becky.
Reaper: “Becky Balfour was a person of interest in one of our… ongoing investigations.”
Chloe Collins: “One which may require revisiting.”
Madeline and Reaper both turn to the head of SABER. Chloe scrolls through her tablet, not looking up at either of them. They wait expectantly for more on this train of thought, but instead, Chloe finally slips her tablet into its case and smiles.
Chloe Collins: “I’ll put some people on it. In the meantime… you have your instructions, yes?”
Madeline nods.
Madeline Mason: “Dig up Nathan Callaghan’s secrets, find out what the Callaghan sons know, find a way into Freedom shows, all while containing the Society threat, watching out for new threats from Lily Callaghan, and continuing to excel as an active member of the roster in order to maintain unrestricted backstage access. Got it.”
Chloe Collins: “You make it sound so easy.”
Madeline Mason: “All in a day’s work.”
Chloe Collins: “Outstanding. And I believe you have a match to prepare for in the meantime. Good luck.”
Reaper rests his hands on the handles of Chloe’s chair and at her nod, the soldier wheels her down the hall, leaving Madeline behind, looking… somewhat anxious for what lies ahead.

Markus FK vs Callie Buchanon
RECAP The match between Markus FK and Callie Buchanon was an intense affair and it was clear that these two didn’t like each other, especially since Callie kept calling Markus ‘icky’. The two competitors went back and forth for a bit until the fight spilled outside of the ring. Callie took control by shoving Markus FK into the barrier. She then grabbed Markus FK and whipped him into the steel steps. Buchanon picked Markus FK up and slid him into the ring and pinned him but FK kicked out after two. Callie waited for FK to get up and when he did, she charged toward him, going for Callie-fornia Dreaming (Regal Knee), but Markus countered it into a roll up but Buchanon kicked out after two. FK popped up and he hit Callie with a swinging neckbreaker. Markus FK went to pick Buchanon back up but Callie thumbed him in the eye, before telling him to keep his icky hands off of her. When it looks as if Callie was about to take control of the match again, an angered and slightly blinded Markus FK charged her and nailed her with the Frei Train - Running Lariat! Markus rubbed his eye that was thumbed earlier, shaking off the pain and going for the pin and he picked up the three count and the win. KAREN WILLOW: “Alright scrubs listen up.”
Karen Willow stands as tall as she can, looking at the camera with her arms folded across her chest.. Her typical wrestling gear switched out for a camouflage version instead, with O-10 just visible under her arms. Karen’s wearing her familiar hoodie and baseball cap, “IVD” visible on the brim before she lets out an exasperated siiiiigh.
KAREN WILLOW: “First and foremost, let’s talk about Freedom so we can get it out of the way and focus on the good stuff. The Society showed up and made a mess of things, and now people have hurt feelings. They’re sad their precious main event got ruined, but let’s look at everything that happened. A quick recap if you will.
They spared you a Michael Marou match, so really you should be thanking them for that alone. And sure they ruined a main event, but last I heard your own talent is doing that already so why are you guys even upset? Is it because it was Balfour instead of Blyss? Just get some hair dye and you’re good to go.”
There’s other differences, but Karen either doesn’t know or doesn’t care as she “hmph”s. There’s really no way to describe it, but you know what I’m talking about here.
KAREN WILLOW: “Now I get there’s this whole ‘Freedom vs Liberation’ thing brewing, but let’s be real here. The Society isn’t the problem. They’re gonna disappear to follow MCR on tour soon, so Liberation needs actual talent that can stick around instead of fold like a dollar bill. And since Derrick Late for the Bell is silent, and the champs are silent, and everyone’s silent, I guess ol’ Karen is gonna step in and show these chumps how it’s supposed to be done. And it all starts with tonight’s match.
Antoinette. Anty. Ants Don’t Dance. She’s someone who should be getting the spotlight instead of the devil’s rejects. She’s done things in the business, comes from a decent wrestling family, has limitless potential. Honestly we’re pretty alike, except my wrestling family is Taryn and we’re not going down that road. I chose to go to Napa Valley while she chose the Grappling place, and it worked out well enough for both. I can respect her. Even like her.
That said? I’m gonna beat the bricks off her.”
There’s that irrepressible smile of hers, eyes twinkling with the slightest hint of mischief as she turns her cap around. It’s a small thing, but Karen treats it with gravitas, adding a dramatic flip of the hair as she poses momentarily.
KAREN WILLOW: “It’s nothing personal, I promise. But as self proclaimed Alpha and Liberation’s only real hope, I’ve gotta be able to back it up in the ring. And that means being able to beat whoever they put in the ring with me, whether it’s Ant or Derrick or Becky Balfour after she’s done ducking a straight challenge from me. So while Ant seems nice, aside from the boyfriend with a dumb name, I’ve gotta do it to em. To show that I’m not just all talk.
So when I’m done dealing with Ant, I’m calling out Becky, and Seth, and Warwolf or whatever his name is. I’m letting them know that they can take a break and relax. Liberation’s in good hands already, and we don’t need them hanging around. Didn’t need them a year ago, or 2020, or ever. Liberation already has their best right here, and if anyone wants to prove me wrong, I’m not a hard girl to find.”
With that, Karen

MATCH FOUR: SINGLES
Karen Willow vs Antoinette
Karen Willow vs Antoinette
RECAP Karen started off the match by trying to bait Antoinette by verbally barbing as the pair circled each other, Antoinette gave her a smirk and shook her head, obviously letting the comments roll off her back. Antoinette pulled Karen into a lock up and despite the struggle, Antoinette pulled her in and with a sweep of the leg that slammed her down onto her back, driving her knee into the gut of Karen, before pulling her back up for a release German suplex that sends Karen flying across the ring. Antoinette was showing off her confidence here in the early stages of the match. Ant went to pick Willow up but Karen rolled out of the ring, not giving Antoinette a chance to keep her momentum. Antoinette leaned over the top rope and called for Karen to get back in the ring. Willow jumped up and used the apron to propel herself, hanging Antoinette up on the top rope, Antoinette fell back and clutched her throat as Karen slid back into the ring and began to stalk her opponent. Antoinette got to her hands and knees but Karen slid in and grabbed Antoinette, locking in a rear choke hold. As she wrenched on the hold Antoinette’s arms grab for the ropes that are just a little too far away, when Antoinette then started to throw elbows back but is not connecting it looks like she may tap. But an elbow followed by a headbutt caused Karen to break the hold and grab at her nose, Antoinette got to her feet, shaking it off as Karen sat back on her heels, Antoinette took her down with a bicycle kick and moved back up to her feet. Coming off the ropes she lands a second hard kick to the face of Karen, then dropped for the cover, only getting the two count before Karen kicked out. The two women went back and forth here for a few minutes now before they took each other out with a clothesline. They both began to stir when NV Payton came through the crowd! She hopped the barricade and jumped onto the apron. Ant went to swing at her but Payton dropped and the distraction was enough as Karen hit Ant with a rollup! Antoinette can’t escape and Karen got the win! Another week and NV cost Antoinette another match. What’s going to give between these two? WARREN CORBETT: How does that saying go again…making a deal with the devil?
SETH LAWLESS: But I think in this case Liberty Pro is left wondering who the devil really is…
Two familiar voices are heard through the darkness, though it takes a moment for our scene to fully kick in. Static, followed by what sounded like the tuning of a 1950s television. More static. Then, two figures standing side by side.
WARREN CORBETT: “Ever since the first time #TheSociety stepped into a Liberty Pro ring, we were hated. It seemed every person would tell you something different if you were to ask them why. WHY is #TheSociety hated so much? Personally, I don’t believe we’ve done anything that bad. Are we really as evil as everyone says we are? Latimer said it was because we tried to push ourselves down everyone’s throats and couldn’t take a hint - so we’re disliked because we wanted the Liberty Pro fans to like us? Right. Another keyboard warrior said it was because we’re ‘bums’ and ‘tramps’, which is simply the same judgemental behavior we faced the first time around, is it not? When you think about it, all we’ve really done in Liberty Pro is prove just how much we deserve to be here, while supporting one another. If that’s a crime, then lock us up right now and throw away the key.
He held both hands out, extending his wrists to the camera with a straight look on his face. He slightly bent his head, as if asking the camera to arrest him.
SETH LAWLESS: There’s an interesting phenomenon that happens when the public views you as the enemy. You’ll garner so much hate that eventually the tide will flip in your favor. Somewhere along the way it becomes cool to like them despite their despicable nature. There’s an array of people, even here in Liberty, that have done far worse than we ever did. But with us, it’s different. There was no point in time when it became cool to be a Follower, you were always seen as dirt. Despite the way we’ve represented this company in the past, you people always shat on us. Tag titles, Trios titles, and those were just belts outside of Liberty Pro itself. We bled over and over again for this company just to be thrown in the trash!
Seth leaned his head to the side, spitting off camera. The same way the people would spit down at them. As he turned back to the camera he shook his head from side to side.
WARREN CORBETT: But you know what, Liberty Pro is our home. No, more than that. LIBERATION is our home. Despite what these people and this roster have done to us over the years, despite our stories past with Nathan Callaghan, when he came to us with a proposition we knew we had to take it. Nathan said a lot, but what rang true most for us was that Liberation was in trouble. Liberty Pro needed help…help that only #TheSociety could provide. So YOU’RE WELCOME, Liberation! We still found it within our hearts to answer the call. WE’RE here, not those people whose names you chanted over ours!
SETH LAWLESS: You know for me to get back into this business was a big step. I honestly was lost as hell
Seth extended his arm towards Warren, and Warren took it into his as they crossed arms.
WARREN CORBETT: And lost no more, brother! We are Found. Tonight we begin anew, but with the same stink from yesteryear upon us. You all forgot what we can do in the ring, so let us show you. First, the Wolves of Legion…Becky is more than capable of handling herself but we’ll support her against our deal old friend, Melissa Reeves. LIBERATION is the dominant brand, and now that we’re back, it’s going to be more obvious than ever!

BACKSTAGE
We open on the Liberty Champion backstage, standing in front of a Liberation banner. He his his championship tossed over his shoulder as he looks at the camera with a look of disappointment.
Derrick: There is nothing wrong with a quality loss...
Derrick kisses his teeth as he tries to swallow his pride.
Derrick: I already said Melissa Reeves is a pioneer in Liberty and an all-star in her own right. She's known worldwide as a bad ass wrestler, and there is no shame in taking an L from her. I could say that my mind wasn't right, because I allowed myself to get into heated twitter fights moments before my match or because I was more focused on Freedom than my match, but that's some corny shit I wouldn't get caught saying. Facts is that Melissa was the better wrestler last week and she earned her dub over me, and that's why there's nothing wrong with a quality loss...
He looks down at his title, and his fce looks almost depressed as he continues.
Derrick: Except for the fact that I'm the Liberty Champion, and I shouldn't be losing exhibition matches on any given tuesday like that.
The pain in his eyes from feeling like he's letting Liberation down.
Derrick: That’s two losses in a row, whether the first one had an interference or not. I'm supposed to be the number one wrestler in this company, but I'm in last place in terms of wins and that doesn't look good for a brand rep, let alone the top champion. I could be doing better, I SHOULD be doing better, and now, I stand across the ring from the woman who gave me my biggest blemish in Liberty Pro.
Derrick pauses, thinking back to "Season 3" when Brianna Leigh Clark beat him on the season premier. Liberation 46 feels like a liftime ago, but a lot of the Liberation roster still remembers and heckle him about it to this day. He was able to fight back and became Liberty Pro Champion, but BLC beating him in his debut was his rock-bottom, and now in what feels to be his darkest moment as Champion he feels like he's back in that same place.
Derrick: Brianna Leigh Clark is an absolute monster. In no way am I going to take that credit away from her. Two years ago, I should have beaten you, but I let my ego get in the way and I live with that loss everyday. I'd end up getting my win back and doing everything in my power to win championship gold again and again in this company, but BLC was the driving point for all of that, because I never wanted to lose a match I should have won ever again.
He pauses for a moment.
Derrick: I'm in a slump. I acknowldge that, but I'm done with quality losses. I'm done with not being the champion you all deserve. I've got a roster breathing down my neck, ready to take this Liberty Championship away from me, but I'm not about to let that happen. I'm not about to let people doubt my title reign or my position as a corner of this company.
He looks at his title with a smile.
Derrick: BLC, you're my girl. I respect the hell out of you. I know you've learned a lot since the last time we've faced off, but despite my slump, I've still got so much I'm ready to show yall. I gotta prove to this roster that I'm exactly who I say I am, and it all starts with me beating you in this ring tonight, Bri. Good luck to you girl, and remember... there's nothing wrong with a quality loss!
Derrick looks at the camera with a look of determination and excitement as he walks off camera.

MATCH FIVE: TAG
Wolves of Legion vs #TheSociety (Seth Lawless & Warren Corbett)
Wolves of Legion vs #TheSociety (Seth Lawless & Warren Corbett)
RECAP The match started off with Kassandra and Seth in the ring. The two locked up and Seth whipped Kassandra into the ropes. Kassandra bounced back and Seth went for a clothesline but Kassandra ducked it and bounced off of the ropes again. Seth turned and when he did, Kassandra jumped up on top of him and hit him with a Lou Thesz Press. Kassandra began to pummel Seth in the face with several punches before Warren got into the ring and shoved Kassandra off. This caused Danae to get in the ring and she dropped Warren with an enziguri. On the outside, Becky Balfour jumped up on the apron to distract the referee and it worked as Seth slid in and took Danae out with a big boot before sliding out of the ring. Warren picked Danae out and tossed her out of the ring before Warren and Seth began to stomp at Kassandra. They hit her with a quick double suplex and Warren retreated back to the corner as Becky dropped down from the apron and the referee had his attention back on the match at hand. Seth tagged Warren in and then picked Kassandra up. Seth then whipped Kass to Warren and he dropped her with a thunderous clothesline. Warren pinned Kassandra and only got a two count before Kassandra kicked out. Warren began to taunt Kassandra before he set her up in a powerbomb position. Warren lifted her up and when he did, Kassandra countered the powerbomb into a hurricanrana driver! Warren and Kassandra both lay down on the mat, clearly exhausted. Kassandra, after several moments, got her arm over Warren's chest and the referee began the count. Kassandra picked up a two count before Seth charged into the ring and broke up the pin. Danae then got into the ring and she dropped Seth with a cutter! Danae then tossed Seth out of the ring and the referee yelled at Danae to get out. Danae retreated to his corner and Kassandra began to crawl towards the corner. As Kassandra almost made it, Warren grabbed her by her ankle. Kassandra stood up and then knocked Warren down with an enziguri. Kassandra then dove and tagged in Danae with a hot tag. Seth had gotten back into the ring by now and Danae took Seth out with a superkick that sent Seth out of the ring. Warren started to get up to his hands and knees and Danae looked to line him up, going to some kind of kick. Just as Danae went to charge, Becky jumped up on the apron. Danae charged her and dropped her down with an elbow to the face. Seth Lawless then hopped onto the apron and Danae took him down with a dropkick. Danae then turned and Corbett leveled her with his Battle Ax [HIGH IMPACT, Spinning Spinebuster]! He pinned her and before Kassandra could make the save, Becky grabbed her by the foot from the outside of the ring and the referee didn’t see it. Warren picked up the three count and the win! Brianna Clark: Hey Derrick, it’s been awhile! Now before I get rolling about this match we’ve got, here’s a little refresher about my feelings about Derrick La’Bell. Back when he held that briefcase? I said that ‘Derrick isn’t like a lot of other wrestlers I’ve faced or been around. He’s kind of humble? Kind of knows himself, is aware of who he is. He was straight up, no screwing around when we had our match. But the thing is, afterward he didn’t try to belittle me. He didn’t try to make excuses about why he lost either. He was respectful and then he moved on. That’s like a cool breeze on a hot day, honestly. Really rare in a business that thrives on people talking themselves up while trying to shove you back down the mountain, right?’ and you know what? That’s still true.
TinkerHulk herself, Brianna Leigh Clark is walking down towards the ringside area ahead of her match, looking good in her newest ring gear and with a smile on her face, that happy bright grin of hers, as she keeps talking to the camera keeping pace with her.
Brianna Clark: He also knows how to man up and apologize if he’s wrong. Like… damn, that’s rare isn’t it?
A nod, before she pauses to let some people go by pushing various backstage crates and so on through, and she turns the corner, her steps getting quicker.
Brianna Clark: Right now, as hack as it may sound, there’s a storm brewing in Liberty because of Nate and his… hell. Is she his ex-wife or… well, that’s thorny, but she’s got revenge on her mind and he’s already slapping back. Anybody that knows Nate, knows he’s an escalator.
She puts her hands over each other, palm to palm and then starts moving them apart, snickering just a little, not missing a step.
Brianna Clark: What I mean by that is, if you attack him, he not only attacks you back, but he goes up that extra step, or higher. His goal is to make you regret coming for the king, and serve you up as an example to the next person. I just… well, we’re going to deal with things as they come but I’m going to put this out here into the Universe in front of you and everyone else.
She smacks her hands together and points up at the ceiling, actually coming to a stop so she can level a very serious expression as she speaks.
Brianna Clark: Don’t come to me, looking to join any sort of trash team. I’m not interested in The Society or whoever is slapped together to fight them. But what I am going to do, when it’s needed, is have the back of the people that have earned my respect. People like TJ Techniques, Emery Layton, Sparrow, and Derrick La’Bell. That’s not a threat, unless you know you’re about to fuck up.
She subtly lifts one shoulder in a shrug, which serves to show off how powerfully muscled she actually is - that TinkerHulk thing? Little Lady Hoss? She’s earned those.
Brianna Clark: So don’t fuck up.
The most adorable smirk then as she starts walking again, heading towards the gorilla position with confidence in her stride.
Brianna Clark: See you out there Derrick, this is going to be a great match against someone I couldn’t respect more, and dammit, we both deserve it!

Brianna Leigh Clark vs Derrick La’Bell
Brianna Leigh Clark vs Derrick La’Bell
RECAP Derrick La'Bell is out first, and he looks locked in, looking to pick up some momentum after his last few losses, especially as Liberty Champion. When the bell sounds, Derrick wasted no time as he gave Brianna clubbing forearms in the back of the head before taking Brianna down with a snap DDT. Derrick pinned Brianna but the female hoss kicked out after one. Derrick picked Brianna up and went to whip her into the corner but Brianna’s power was too much as she countered and tossed Derrick into the corner before charging in and spearing him. Brianna then grabbed Derrick from behind and nailed him with a tossing German suplex. Brianna pinned La'Bell but Derrick managed to kick out just before the two count. Derrick looked like a man on a mission, meanwhile, Brianna seemed a bit surprised at the energy that La'Bell had but she didn't let it phase her. Derrick got to a knee and Brianna hit him with a forearm, Derrick got back up, and nailed Clark with a thunderous headbutt. The smack is sickening as Brianna tumbled outside of the ring. Derrick followed and he picked Brianna up and he whipped Brianna into the post face first. Brianna crumbled to the ground before Derrick picked her up and Derrick hit a spinebuster on BLC on top of the steel steps on the outside. La'Bell picked Brianna up and rolled her into the ring before covering her. The referee counted to two but Brianna kicked out just before the three count as she got her shoulder up. Derrick got up and looked frustrated before Brianna started to stir but Derrick charged in and nailed her with a brutal shot from a knee! La'Bell lifted Brianna up and he tossed BLC into the corner and then climbed the turnbuckle and Derrick started to punch her in the face as the fans count along, but suddenly Brianna slid her arms under La'Bell’s legs and she pulled him out of the corner in the air. Brianna ran with La'Bell up in her hands and she dropped the big man with a running powerbomb pin, showing off her strength. The referee made the count but La'Bell managed to get his shoulder up before the three count. Brianna looked impressed that Derrick kicked out of such a devastating move. Brianna stomped at Derrick a few times, telling him to stay down. BLC went to pick La'Bell up but Derrick threw a few elbow shots into Brianna’s gut before he charged and tackled Brianna to the outside and they went battling around the ringside area, and Derrick began to hit Brianna with everything he had. La'Bell threw Brianna into the post and then started to dismantle the table. Derrick put Brianna on it and picked her up, he’s looking to go for something big but Brianna headbutted La'Bell. Derrick is dazed and Brianna picked him up and powerbombed him through the table! The fans couldn’t believe it! Brianna dropped to the mat outside exhausted as the referee counted. Bri rolled in at five but what’s this? Derrick began to stir! At eight he was up on his feet! The referee called nine but right before ten, Derrick slid in! Bri couldn’t believe this but she charged him and pinned him but Derrick kicked out. Brianna then stalked over him, waiting for Derrick to stir. When he got to his feet, BLC charged and went for Incoming! (Shotgun Double Knee) but Derrick caught her instead, popped her in the air and demolished her with Prodigy in Motion (Spirit Bomb/ Pop-Up Sit-Out Last Ride)! Backstage, Tim Anderson catches up with Melissa Reeves.
Tim: "Hello Melissa, it's been a very long time."
She smiles and nods, moving away from the wall she was leaning against.
Melissa: "If it isn't Timmy. Still here, I see." N
ow it's his turn to nod.
Tim: "I am, and now so are you. Back after, wow, a few years!"
Melissa: "That's right, Tim. Back after this long, but it feels like home again. We got Nathan butchering his job, we got Callaghans causing trouble and The Society on the rampage. I even have a match against Becky Balfour. Guess we teleported right back to 2018, huh?"
Tim laughs.
Tim: "Feels like it, seeing you two main eventing again."
Melissa: "I know, Timmy. Thing is, it's not 2018 anymore, is it?"
He shakes his head.
Melissa: "No, exactly. It's 2022 now and facing Becky here, now, it's not the same. She's not the champion. When did she last even get close to a title? Her stock has fallen since then. That's why she's up to her old tricks. They're supposed to be this formidable team, The Society, but they've proven in the time since I was here that they're not."
Tim goes to speak, but she cuts him off.
Melissa: "Becky Balfour in 2022 hasn't evolved. She's the same. But Mel Reeves? Aaahh she went on to cement a legacy in both Millennium and Underground since then. I took on other foes, new rivals, made new allies too. But Bex? She's just dredging up the past."
She raises a finger.
Melissa: "Of her first Liberty run, at least. Let's not forget how she was disposed of by Lizzie Jones second time around. Maybe it's not just her stuck in her ways, Nate might be too. I think I speak for most of us, though, when I say we're bored of The Society. They had their time but it needs to be accepted that it came and went."
She shrugs.
Melissa: "Like I said, here in 2022, they're just not the same threat. So tonight, you know, I fully expect them to show up. I'm sure they'll prove me right by doing the same things they always used to do. But I'm not here to war with them. I'm not here for a stupid brand war. I've done that. I've beaten that. I have nothing to prove to them, Nate or anyone for that matter."
Tim again tries to talk, but no luck.
Melissa: "I'm here for one thing and one thing only, my legacy. I'm here to score big wins, face new opponents and take titles. Now, the fact is that facing Becky can't give me any of those things. So I'll fight her, this once, and I'll give her that spotlight. But after tonight? I want nothing to do with her."
She points at the camera.
Melissa: "Which means, Rebecca, don't do anything stupid tonight."
Reeves scoffs.
Melissa: "If you can manage that."
Then she walks away, leaving Tim with his question never asked. Poor Tim.
Poor Tim.

Max Cerrano vs Jackal
Max Cerrano vs Jackal
RECAP It doesn’t take long for the competitors to start trading really heavy shots that turn into a heated contest, drawing cheers from the energetic crowd. Max eventually has Jackal backing into the ropes before tossing her to the other side. On the rebound, Jackal ducks Max’s lariat attempt, only to bounce back into a well-timed spinebuster. Max wastes no time to hit the mounted elbow strikes, leaving Jackal dazed. Max stands to pick up Jackal who fights back hard but gets punished with a huge foot stomp. As Jackal tries to crawl away, Max pulls back in for triple gutwrench suplexes that impress the crowd. But when Max goes for the pin, he only gets a two-count. The match resumes with Max in the driver’s seat with Jackal slowing down more and more, until Max misses an enziguri. To the crowd’s amazement, Jackal capitalizes with a stiff elbow before throwing him hard into the corner. As Max sinks down, Jackal charges at him with a devastating cannonball senton. The fans cheer as Jackal drags Max out of the corner before looking for some kind of submission hold. But Jackal only manages to lock in one leg in the hold, which becomes a half Boston Crab, which eventually allows Max to break out and escape, though not without a lot of struggling. It looks like Max is hurting on one leg which Jackal takes advantage of with a chop block. As Max falls on his knees, Jackal throws heavy shots at him before taking him down with a tiger suplex and a cover. But Max kicks out at two. Jackal now tries to aim Max’s bad leg but somehow he’s able to thwart her plans with a knee strike that obliterates her. Jackal rolls around on the mat in agony, clutching her face. Max struggles to his feet and limps over to pick up Jackal for a suplex. But due to the bad leg, Max crumbles down on one knee which allows Jackal to escape his hold safely. The referee is concerned with what’s going on with Max’s leg, so he doesn’t see the masked man who reaches under the ropes and trips up Jackal and she hits the canvas. She then turns and looks at the person in confusion. Suddenly, the man takes off the mask and it’s Xavier Laroux! The man who has been obsessed with Chuck Matthews for well over a year is back and he is after Jackal for some reason! Jackal is then taken down with a dropkick by Max. Cerrano then hits her with Headhunter - Sliding D! He goes for the pin and he picks up the three count and the win! Max Cerrano’s streak continues! Max grabs his Gotham Championship and walks by Xavier, who he rolls his eyes at. Xavier gets in the ring and stalks over Jackal, yelling out ‘I’m onto you!’ When Jackal gets up, Xavier takes her out with Narcoterrorism (Bicycle Knee Strike)! The crowd is booing but Laroux simply looks out to the crowd and smirks before declaring, ‘I’m back!’ WINNER Max Cerrano METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 13:23 FINISHING MOVE Headhunter |
BACKSTAGE
"We don't play by the rules..."
The camera opens up to the three members of The Society standing by a chain linked fence just outside the venue. Seth has both arms crossed with a grin, Warren was right next to him, a soul-less glare straight ahead, and in the forefront was the bright haired Becky Balfour. The camera cuts to static and then starts in on a close up of Becky's black boots before it slowly moves up her fishnet covered legs and finally rests on her 'Sweet as Syn' shirt before cutting again and showing Becky standing behind the other two members.
Becky Balfour: Freedom. How free is it really? You can ask Michael Marou or Jackson if you want, but I don't think you'll get an answer from them. There's actually still a good chance that they're in a hospital after what Seth and Warren did to them.
Balfour smiles as both men turn their heads to gaze at her. She wears a sadistic grin, clearly reveling in the revelation that they were behind the opening match attack at Freedom.
Becky Balfour: We aren't signed to Freedom, but we really don't give a damn. Nathan Callaghan signed a deal with the devil to bring us back to Liberty, and as much as he wants to think he's in control? I think he knows that no one pulls our strings. We act on our instincts, and last night...we feasted on the weak. Who knows if you will see Marou or Jackson again, but that wasn't enough. Your main event was a tale of two contenders, but how strong did they look by the end of the night? By my count, they needed half the locker room to come save their asses, because they knew what was going to happen. Casualties of war. Zero apologies.
Balfour spits onto the ground beside her.
Becky Balfour: But tonight? This is OUR turf. Melissa Reeves. We go back to the very beginning of Liberty. Remember those times? When you and everyone swore I was trash? And what happened? I kicked your ass on an almost weekly basis. The more things change, the more they stay the same. I was supposed to be banished from Liberty forever, but the moment Nathan needs me? I'm back. We're back. And THIS is happening again.
I'll do you a favor. Don't come for a match tonight. Come prepared to bleed for their sins. The sins of Lily Callaghan, and every single member of both rosters that have chosen to cast a blind eye to the voices that need to be heard. Melissa Reeves isn't here for anyone but herself. The selfish shall be left behind, shells of their former selves. This isn't about winning. It isn't about losing. It's about getting our message across.
Seth & Warren: The message. The message. The message.
Both men continue to repeat the same two words as Becky finally steps back in front of them.
Becky Balfour: The message. No more, will we sit in the shadows and allow THEM to look down on us. No more, will we remain quiet when the world is shouting at us. No more, will the privileged and pacifists spoil our soil. No more.
THE SOCIETY: No more.
Static cuts the pictures of the three members out as we hear their laughs before the screen cuts to black.

BACKSTAGE
We cut backstage to Nathan Callaghan pacing back and forth as he talks to someone on the phone.
Nathan Callaghan: Goddamnit, I know I still had Xavier Laroux under contract but I didn’t know he would return tonight AND go after Jackal. I need that jacked up bitch for backup security! Especially with what The Society did at Freedom last night. There can’t be any retaliation. The night is almost over though. Send me a few more people.
Nathan scoffs at the reply he hears on the phone.
Nathan Callaghan: What do you mean there’s a labor shortage? Jesus Christ, these kids don’t want to work nowadays. Uh, do you know if that one mean bitch I hired a couple of years ago is still around? Tristin Keyes or whatever? What do you mean you don’t know her? She was the Grimes fucker or whatever, wasn’t she?
Nathan sighs as he listens onto the other end.
Nathan Callaghan: Meh. It’s fine. I have Seth and Warren patrolling around and soon enough, I’m sure Becky’s followers will start following me or whatever, since I’m their new leader and all of that, you know?
Nathan chuckles and shakes his head.
Nathan Callaghan: Anyway, I’ve gotta go. If you don’t have no one else for me, then I’ll have to round up the roster. Talk to you later.
Nathan hangs up the phone with the mystery person before the scene cuts away.

MAIN EVENT: SINGLES
Becky Balfour vs Melissa Reeves
Becky Balfour vs Melissa Reeves
RECAP Before the match begins, Becky is clearly trying to get Melissa out of her game as she runs her mouth, but the two time Liberty Champion seems unbothered by her attempts. Becky steps up and Melissa laughs with a shrug of her shoulders, matching Becky’s squaring up, as Becky goes to shove Melissa, Reeves grabs her wrist and twists it at an unnatural angle that sends Becky to one knee. Melissa follows up with a stiff knee to the face that rocks Becky, but using her awareness she brings her own elbow down over Melissa’s raised thigh, she strikes several times quickly and the pain causes Melissa to drop her wrist and draw back with a growl. Becky gets back to her feet as Melissa backs into the corner, Becky charges Melissa, who is unable to move out of the way as Becky turns into the jump and crashes her body into Melissa’s ribs, trying to cause as much damage as possible. Becky keeps on trying to target Mel’s ribs, trying to hurt her early on but this one backfires as Melissa grabs a handful of hair and tosses Becky across the ring by it following up with a stomp to the back of the head, Melissa grinds the sole of her boot on Becky’s head as she eats the canvas, Melissa taking full advantage of the officials count. It’s obvious that there is no love lost between these two women. As Melissa backs off, Becky rubs at her chin and jaw with a shake of her head. Melissa chuckles as Becky gets to her feet, but her laughter is short lived when Becky dives across the space between them and nails Melissa with a spear, taking her down to the canvas she mounts her and instead of going for the usual strikes to the face, Becky instead starts to land hard punches to those same ribs she was targeting earlier. She then drives her knee into Melissa’s ribs and once again, the official is forced to step in and as Becky tries to back off, Melissa catches her with a hard kick to the side of the head. Melissa is on her feet as Becky gets to a crawl and Melissa wastes no time in hitting her Facial Deconstructor (Codebreaker). Dropping down, Melissa goes for a pin but Becky gets the shoulder up just before three, Melissa looks down at her and shakes her head, she grabs her by two handfuls of hair and bounces her head off the canvas. Melissa tries to grab Becky by the hair again but the referee gives her a warning and this is enough for Becky to headbutt Mel right into the face! This causes Melissa’s lip to bust open. Melissa’s bottom lip is pouring out blood at first and the official tries to check on her but Melissa slaps his hand away and insists she is good to go! Melissa and Becky finally lock up, but Melissa is starting to feel the pain in the ribs that Becky has been targeting the longer the match goes on and looks a little uneasy on her feet. Becky pulls Melissa in for a knee shot to her ribs and then goes for a suplex but Melissa twists and comes off Becky’s shoulder to land on her feet! But Becks was expecting that one and with a quick hop she kicks Melissa hard in the stomach and bounces her off the ropes into a jumping double stomp, Melissa moves but still takes half the hit, leaning Becky to bounce off the ropes and fall back. As Melissa stumbles back Becky kips up and leans into the ropes, letting out a scream directed at the crowd she then nails Melissa with Hear Me Out! Becky then rolls her up for the pin but NO! Reeves kicks out right before the three count! Becky can’t believe it but she stalks over Melissa now. Melissa begins to stir when suddenly, the lights shut off. This is like the situation that happened at Freedom last night! When the lights come back on, standing at the entrance way is Lily Callaghan! How did she get in here!? Lily Callaghan: You wanted war? You wanted to POISON ME!? Here’s some poison for you, Becky. Lily drops the mic and from the back comes Dante Locke and Blyss Lockhart, dragging Seth Lawless’ limp body. But it’s not just over yet, as Caroline and Sparrow drag out the much larger Warren Corbett and he is unconscious. Becky looks furious! She’s screaming and yelling at the referee to do something. While the referee is distracted, Scotty Latimer slides into the ring with a baseball bat in hand and he cracks it over Becky’s back! The referee didn’t see it! Scotty rolls out of the ring and Becky is about to drop to her canvas but Melissa catches her with a second Facial Deconstructor! Melissa pins Becky and the referee sees the pinfall going down! He drops down and makes the count! One… Two… THREE!!! DING DING DING!!! Melissa Reeves picks up the huge win and #TheSociety has felt some payback for what happened at Freedom. Derrick La’Bell and a few other members of the roster charge out to get rid of the Freedom members but they make their way out through the crowd, including Lily Callaghan. Melissa looks around and shakes her head and sighs, clearly not wanting to have nothing to do with this foolishness. Melissa and Derrick then catch each other’s gaze. Derrick nods at her and yells, ‘One more time!’ And Mellisa nods back. Then the show then ends. WINNER Melissa Reeves METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 21:43 FINISHING MOVE Facial Deconstructor |
