MATCH ONE: SINGLES
NV Payton vs Dianna Bellerose
NV Payton vs Dianna Bellerose
RECAP NV Payton was clearly on a mission here as she was not happy giving Antoinette her first ever win in Liberty. The young rookie dodged everything that Dianna had thrown at her and the veteran became frustrated. In her frustration, she went for a big boot but Payton grabbed Dianna by her leg and yanked her to the ground. Payton then locked in "Knee Jerking Jealousy" (A Bridging Single Leg Boston Crab) and that's all she wrote. It only took a little over a minute for NV to show the world that she meant business. BACKSTAGE
Seth Lawless is backstage in a gold suit along with a gold tie. He’s also wearing a gold top hat. He shoots a smile at the camera.
SETH LAWLESS: Gold isn’t it pretty?
He smiles as he looks up at the ceiling. He quickly looks back at the camera.
SETH LAWLESS: I was gone for a long time. I honestly didn’t think that I would ever come back to wrestling. It’s funny heartbreak does that to you. But life does that as well. Sometimes you look at things in a different light and you wonder if you’ll ever go back to something that you once loved…
Seth laughs a bit then shakes his head.
SETH LAWLESS: What the fuck am i saying? God damn some pussy shit?
He laughs again as he looks back at the camera.
SETH LAWLESS: Tonight in a few mere moments. I get to go for gold once again. You know it’s funny I knew I’d be in this moment against the Girls of Summer, and I want that gold to go with this suit. The Society needs this gold, we need it to succeed. I know we are with Nathan and hell the Girls are as well but we are fighting for the same thing. And the right team will win.

MATCH TWO: SINGLES
Callie Buchanon vs Antoinette
Callie Buchanon vs Antoinette
RECAP Callie Buchanon was looking to rebound from a few losses, while Ant was trying to keep her momentum going. Callie was aggressive at the beginning, using dirty tactics to keep Antoinette down, including holding onto a sleeper hold for a four count, then shoving Ant’s neck onto the bottom rope and then stomping on her back. Buchanan was absolutely relentless in this one and the fans were letting her have it for it. The fans cheered for Antoinette to get back into it but every time she tried, Callie hit her with another cheap move, like a thumb to the eye and pulling the referee in front of her to save herself from a hit but that backfired as Antoinette accidentally took the referee out with a superkick. Ant now controlled this portion of the match, hitting a few big moves before a clothesline sent Callie out of the ring. Antoinette then turned to the referee to try and stir him awake. It finally started to work as Callie slid into the ring with a chair in hand. Antoinette turned and Callie was ready to slam her with the chair but she saw the referee stirring to his hands and knees! Buchanan slammed the chair on the canvas and then threw it at Ant, who caught it, and then Callie dropped to the canvas on her back. The referee was now up and he saw Antoinette with the chair! He immediately called for the bell and Callie won by DQ! She quickly slid out of the ring and laughed as Antoinette called her a cheater and told her that this wasn’t over. Nathan Callaghan: “I just need to know where your loyalties lie.”
After the words are spoken, the scene opens in Nate’s office. He sits at his desk, looking across at his visitor. The camera circles around to show Madeline Mason sitting in her wrestling gear, arms folded across her chest.
Madeline Mason: “My loyalties?”
Nathan Callaghan: “I saw what happened on Freedom. As much as I’m pleased to see that Lily couldn’t keep a hold on your organization, I can’t help but wonder… are you about to cause problems for me like you do her?”
Jackal tilts her head, reading Nathan’s expression. A small frown crosses her face.
Madeline Mason: “You know why we’re here.”
Nathan stands and circles his desk. He swings his baseball bat nonchalantly at his side.
Nathan Callaghan: “That’s the problem though, isn’t it? I don’t know why you’re here. Now I know SABER did a lot of work in Valiant, kept people safe, did your little investigations here and there. We know your team is as good as they say they are.”
He brings the bat to a rest on Madeline’s shoulder. She looks at it out of the corner of her eye, but otherwise makes no motion.
Nathan Callaghan: “And that makes you a potential threat. I can’t have you turning on me like you did my ex-wife.”
Madeline scoffs.
Madeline Mason: “Lily Callaghan didn’t have a contract with us. Syn did. Reaper is in Liberty because Lily signed him to Freedom and thought that meant she had an ace up her sleeve. Syn got protection through SABER. We honor the contracts. It’s not good for business if people think they can just throw money around to buy our services. If we accept the contract, we’re bound by it until the job is done.”
Nathan Callaghan: “So Syn gets the contract, not Lily. But in the meantime, Collins has Reaper signed to Freedom, which puts him at the mercy of Lily’s booking. Not your boss’s best play. You think she won’t make his life miserable?”
Madeline Mason: “I think he’ll be able to handle whatever Lily Callaghan throws at him.”
Nathan Callaghan: “You’re very confident.”
Madeline Mason: “I know my team.”
Nathan removes the bat from her shoulder, but doesn’t re-enter her field of vision, choosing instead to remain behind her.
Nathan Callaghan: “Your team… right. You and Reaper… you have history. How do I know that you two aren’t planning something?”
His grip tightens around his bat.
Madeline Mason: “Different assignments. Reaper was brought in to protect an asset. I’m here to investigate a potential threat.”
Nathan Callaghan: “Me.”
Madeline Mason: “Potentially.”
The muscles in Nathan’s forearm twitch. He raises the bat, keeping it aimed towards Jackal’s head. She keeps her eyes locked forward. She was calm. Collected. Nathan gritted his teeth, but even he seemed a little unsettled by how undeterred Jackal seemed.
Nathan Callaghan: “And if you determine that I have nothing to hide, and it’s that bitch over on Freedom that you need to worry about?”
Madeline Mason: “Then we deal with the problem. That’s what we do.”
Nathan lowers his bat. He slowly steps back around Jackal, taking his seat at his desk.
Nathan Callaghan: “I think I’ve heard enough for now.”
Madeline nods, and stands. Nathan raises his bat, touching the end of it to Madeline’s chin.
Nathan Callaghan: “But I will warn you, and any of your SABER compatriots who come sniffing around my company: Raise as much hell on Freedom as you’d like, but the second you start trouble on Liberation… I will bury you. Are we clear?”
Madeline remains stoic.
Madeline Mason: “Do what you must.”
Nathan removes the bat and waves her off. Madeline turns and leaves the room, closing the door behind her. There’s silence for a moment while Nathan rubs the bridge of his nose. He groans. Nathan glances down at his cell phone, sitting on the corner of his desk. For a minute, he looks lost in thought. Finally, he picks it up and dials a number. It rings a few times, before an unheard voice at the other end answers.
Nathan Callaghan: “Good, you picked up. We need to meet.”

BACKSTAGE
“Man, and here I thought we were gonna wrestle ‘round these parts…”
A light chuckle follows those words, coming from the mouth of the Liberation wrestler, Nina. The Snakebite is sitting on the floor, back against the wall and looking at the ceiling, already dressed in her ring gear.
Nina: “Instead, here we go again. Another pissing contest, another tale of two bosses fighting for power. We all know how this ends, don’t we?”
Nina lets out a sigh, shaking her head.
Nina: “Folks will pledge their allegiance to this or that leader, claiming they’re the right side while making up reasons why the others are the wrong one.”
Airquotes on right and wrong.
Nina: “Just a load of crap to justify that they’re doing this for convenience. Shit like this goes on for months, and having one of the boss’ hands up your ass and letting them maneuvering you like the fucking puppet you are, is gonna get you places. At the expense of those who decided not to take a side, because they’ve been through this shit before. Different places, different actors, different motivations, same old story.”
Her tone is dejected, almost resigned.
Nina: “Just look at the names involved, you’ll see the same collection of leeches, coattail raiders, power hungry cunts. Get used to their faces and names, folks. Those are the people you’re gonna see main eventing in the months to come, turning this whole thing into a shitshow of backstage attacks and interferences. Shit, they literally put a bounty on someone, what the fuck has this place become, a western movie?”
Frustration and anger can be heard in her voice, creeping in for a brief moment as she pushes up to her feet. After taking a deep breath, she regains her composure and continues.
Nina: “Anyway, I’m supposed to talk about my opponent, right? Karen Willow. What do you want me to say that you don’t know already? Y’all see what she brings to the table, y’all can google her name and find out her accolades, y’all remember how she had won the Battle Royale before Kross did what Kross does best, being a pussy and cheating to win.”
Adjusting her “Chicago Fight Lab” leather jacket, Nina continues.
Nina: “She’d deserve me to praise her, she’d deserve me to say that I’m looking forward to our match, and I’m honored to share the ring with her.”
She shrugs her shoulders, looking back at the camera.
Nina: “But at the end of the day, it doesn’t fucking matter, does it? We could go out there, put on an instant classic, give these fans the best ten minutes of their night and what they’re gonna talk about at the end of the show is what Nathan did to Lily, or vice versa. Even my opponent at the PPV realized it, right Caroline?
Show me something new... A shame what you actually showed me was more of the same. You congratulated me and jumped on the bounty, in the same sentence. You welcomed the challenge, you put the focus on what we are meant to do, wrestling, and then immediately claimed your spot in the cloying Callaghan drama.
I hope it goes well for you. I hope it does to everyone involved. May y’all be successful and end this dick-measuring contest as soon as possible. And, most importantly, I hope that when the dust has settled, I don’t have to find another company to work for because the selfishness of few has killed the place. Yet again.”
With that said, Nina walked away.

MATCH THREE: TAG
Xavier Laroux & Jackal vs Danae & Kassandra
Xavier Laroux & Jackal vs Danae & Kassandra
RECAP Jackal absolutely dominated in the beginning portion of this match, showing off her size and strength but every once in a while, Xavier made passes at her from their corner. Jackal, usually focused and determined, became distracted by this and it gave Danae and Kassandra the chance to take over. They showed their amazing teamwork, keeping Jackal in their corner and hitting her with several combination moves, including a double suplex. The tide turned back when Xavier pulled Danae out of her corner and slammed her into the ring post. This distracted Kassandra and Jackal took her out with a back body drop. Jackal soon stirred and Xavier tagged himself into the ring. He then gave Jackal a ‘friendly’ teammate tap on the butt, which she seemed none too pleased about but she didn’t let it get the best of her, staying stoic as she exited the ring. Kassandra charged the corner and X dodged it. Kass ended up hitting Jackal with a forearm but Jackal came right back at her with a headbutt! Xavier then took Kass out with Narcoterrorism (Bicycle Knee Strike)! He pinned but Danae came into the ring to break it up but NO! Jackal leveled her with a filthy spear! The count hit three and Xavier and Jackal won! Xavier grabbed Jackal’s hand and raised it in the air before glancing over at her and giving a wink. What is going on? Jackal looked just as confused as everyone else. WINNER Jackal & Xavier Laroux METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 12:23 FINISHING MOVE Narcoterrorism |

As Kendrick is walking out of the locker room with his manager Chrysalis by his side as he runs into a camera that is now directly in his face. He rolls his eyes as he pushes it the man behind the camera back giving space between the two of them.
KENDRICK KROSS: How about you watch where you’re going? Surely you can see me or are you literally that blind?
Kendrick rolls his eyes and looks at Chrys then focuses back on the camera pointed at him.
KENDRICK KROSS: But while you’re here might as well say that Erik Malone has no idea what he’s up for tonight. I’m not in the best of moods at the moment which doesn’t bode well for him. It actually is going to cause a lot of problems for him.
I wonder if you remember when I showed up in Valiant, Erik. When I took you out? That was a fun time and the same thing is going to happen tonight. Only this time it’ll be in an actual match. This time it’s going to be on record as me getting a 3 count over you. And it’s going to be oh so sweet.
Almost as sweet as the special prize I’m gonna receive.
Kendrick’s face goes from a scowl almost to a grin now.
KENDRICK KROSS: This special prize better be worth what I went through last show. Outlasting everyone. And playing it smart by taking out Karen Willow while she wasn’t paying attention. I’m sure that is still burning her at her core too. Sucks for her though.
This night isn’t going to go bad for me. I am going to make sure of that. Erik, after tonight you’re going to wish you were never in a match with me. It’s going to be nice seeing you on your back after me getting the three.
Now as far as this special prize goes. It better be a great one. Otherwise it isn’t going to be pretty for anyone. Guaranteed.

Kendrick looks at her with a big grin on his face.
CHRYSALIS: We’ll see you out there Erik.

MATCH FOUR: SINGLES
Karen Willow vs Nina
Karen Willow vs Nina
RECAP This match was intense, to say the least. There was no handshake to start the match and no kind words, just two intense women trying to get out here and get this match over with. Nina dominated the first half of the match, showing off her defensive abilities by dodging every attack that Karen threw at her before taking over with a plethora of takedowns and submission holds. Nina was showing the Liberation crowd why her defensive and submission skills were truly elite. Things turned around though when Nina went for her Snakebite (axe kick) finish but Karen moved out of the way! Karen then hit Three Dog Night (Rolling German Suplexes) and then followed it up with Kaboom! (Exploder Suplex)! She Had all the momentum in the world here. She soon stalked over Nina, waiting to go for her Wolf Fang Fist, a move paying homage to the character Yamcha of Dragon Ball Z. Nina began to stir and WAIT! Chrysalis, Kendrick Kross’ manager, was on the apron! The referee ordered her to leave but she gave him a hard time. While this was going on, Kendrick Kross was in the ring and BANG! He leveled Karen Willow with a chair shot to the back! Clearly he wasn’t appreciating the trash talk from Karen all week! Kendrick quickly exited the ring and Chrysalis dropped off the apron. Karen stirred and Nina, who didn’t see what was going on, nailed Karen with Snakebite this time around and followed it up with a pinfall victory. RECORDED EARLIER
We open on the streets of New York, within a mostly deserted area at what feels like the stroke of midnight. The darkness is everywhere, only allowing light from various lit fire rings across the horizon. The shadows of a bridge towers across the top of the shot. Numerous people move in the background, all bundled up in jackets against the cold night. Voices stir, and suddenly one of the unnamed hooded figures walks towards the camera.
Warren Corbett: All war is deception. Deceptions can involve false maneuvers, feigned attacks, misleading orders of battle, and creation of deceiving indications of strength or weakness in attempts to influence an enemy's actions. We may have been deceitful in making Lily believe we’d stay away from Freedom, but we’ve always been truthful of our true intentions. At No Man’s Land, we reminded the world why the names of #TheSociety are forever etched across the Liberty Pro history books.
Warren pushes his head back, stretching his neck a little while keeping his gaze transfixed upon the camera. His clothes are simply dark pieces of cloth in the darkness.
Warren Corbett: Lily would probably like us to feel nothing but shame. Shame for what we’ve done to her boys, shame for the chaos that has ensued since we’ve been the poison in Liberty’s veins, and shame at who we are. She’s got it far wrong. We don’t feel shame for our decisions, and least of all, we’re not ashamed of the people we are, or where we’ve come from. Despite the judgment of others, we’ve proven we belong at the top.
Seth Lawless cracks his neck as he walks up from the background to join his brother in arms. He puts his hands together as he speaks.
Seth Lawless: The warehouse is where I felt alive again. I wasn’t sure if I wanted this. But blasting the Callaghan’s over and over again made me realize that I need this. That I need this family.
Seth claps Warren on his back and smirks.
Seth Lawless: We all knew that tonight was going to happen. We all knew that a collision course with the Girls of Summer was going to happen. It needed to happen, because The Society is back and better than ever. We have spilt blood, we have risen and now all we have to do is climb that final rung of the ladder and win gold again.
Warren Corbett: Coral, Nami - let’s not play this game of throwing petty insults back and forth, we know you, and you know us. Our history goes back as far as the history books themselves. I know you think you two have an everlasting hold on those belts, but we both know that’s not true. Becky has given us the honor of representing our Family in this match, and we will not fail!
Seth smiles again.
Seth Lawless: Look, I’m not going to run you down because that does nothing for either of us. All I want is to have a damn good match. I want us to blow the roof off and let the best team win.
The figures in the background begin to move again, and a third member walks up. Naturally, the figure reveals her hood, as Becky walks up between her brothers.
Becky Balfour: Did you think I wouldn’t attend? Nothing could stop me from supporting my brothers. Tonight, once again we reach a new pedestal from which to spread the Message!
She extends both arms to her sides, putting one each around the two mean to her sides. Becky pulls the boy in close, signifying their combined front. From behind, each dark figure left in the background begins turning towards the camera and walking up. When they get close enough for the lens to make out their faces, they put their hoods down in the same fashion that the three members of #TheSociety had.
However, their faces aren’t familiar in the way that Warren, Seth, or Becky’s were. They are random people, and slowly, they begin to crowd around our three in the front. #TheSociety do not flinch or turn behind, they open the newcomers with open arms. New Followers to join the solid front put up against the rest of the world.
Together, they would rise again.
Blackout.

Blackout.
MATCH FIVE: ANARCHY CHAMPIONSHIP
Dylan Shepherd vs Lochlan Rivers
Dylan Shepherd vs Lochlan Rivers
RECAP Lochlan Rivers and Dylan Shepherd both wanted to show the world how hardcore they could be in this one and I’ll tell you, they both left little doubt. Lochlan, for being a nice guy, really had an edge in this one. He used a fire extinguisher early on to blind Dylan, before clonking him on the head with it! Dylan was bleeding from that blow on the early going but it was almost as if with every shot from a weapon that Shepherd took from Rivers, he became more and more energetic. Dylan refused to stay down despite taking a beat and eventually, he stared down Lochlan, blood in his eyes, with an intense look. This was probably due to the fact that Lochlan had the Anarchy Championship in hand and was looking to clobber Dylan with it, but Dylan yelled at Lochlan, telling him, ‘NO ONE TOUCHES MY BABY!’ Lochlan tried to hit Dylan with the championship but Shepherd ducked it and then grabbed a bag of something that was left on the floor from earlier in the match. He swung it in his hand, almost like they were nunchucks, and when Lochlan turned around, WHACK! Dylan hit him with the bag on the head and Rivers went crashing down. Dylan then slammed the bag down onto Lochlan over and over, beating his body with it. With a devious smile on his face, Dylan poured the contents of the bag onto the canvas and what was it? Legos. Of fucking course! Dylan picked Rivers up and dropped him his first with Big D Driver onto the legos! He pinned and got the hard fought victory, retaining his Anarchy Championship. KENDRICK’S PRIZE ANNOUNCEMENT
“Bad Company” by Five Finger Death Punch blared over the PA system as Nathan Callaghan made his way out to the entrance way.
Nathan Callaghan: Kendrick Kross, I told you I’d present you with a gift. Something major, something huge, for you big win at No Man’s Land III. Well? Your gift is the first shot at a new championship. While Lily and I do not get along, we both agreed on something that is best for business, which is an interbrand singles championship.
The fans started to cheer in excitement as Nate continued on.
Nathan Callaghan: If you defend that championship successfully three times against the opposing brand in enemy territory, you turn the championship back in and receive a shot at the Liberty OR Freedom Championships, whenever, wherever you want.
The fans explode at the announcement.
Nathan Callaghan: Now, this championship will be called the Noir Championship, named after Helena Noir, former Liberty Champion and CanAm Champion, and something I’m announcing now, the first soon-to-be ever Hall of Famer of Liberty Pro.
The fans now cheered their loudest.
Nathan Callaghan: Helena, while we never saw eye to eye, she proudly represented Liberty throughout it’s existence, throughout all of the turmoil, she bled this company. She also represented it with the CanAm Championship, a title that was first a cross brand title between Empire and Liberty, before becoming part of GWA’s history. That is why this championship is named after her, it represents her reign as CanAm Champion and Liberty Champion. It represents her hard work that paid off with a Liberty Championship reign. Now, you’re all wondering, who will Kendrick fight? Well, it could be one opponent, it could be two or three. That’s up to me to decide and also for Lily to decide on who she wants to throw in. Now Kendrick, let’s see you show the world why you’re the possibly first ever Noir Champion.

Markus FK: I told myself when I came back to the ring that things were going to be different this time. A young guy who found success way too early in his career - left out to dry when his tag partner suddenly retired...that was tough for me to deal with, because truth be told, I never was the greatest wrestler. His strengths shielded my weaknesses, and on my own I floundered. The business chewed me up and spat me out.
The big man runs a hand across his chiseled jaw, adorned with a well sculpted beard as he pauses for a short moment.
Markus FK: So here we are now, 2022. Dragged into other people’s mess, then finding myself on the outside looking in. I’m a far better wrestler now than I was then, even after my time away, but I think it’s fair to say that things haven’t really fallen into place for me here yet. I need to make some noise. I need to remind people what I’m capable of. To put it bluntly, I need to take a scalp. After that battle royal, sitting on the outside for a few moments in complete shock before finding my way to the back I whispered to myself that the next person they put me in that ring with was gonna be in for a goddamn world of pain. It just so happens that it’s gotta have to be our Gotham Champion, Brianna Leigh Clark.
Another pause, as Markus seemingly nods to himself at the prospect of going toe to toe with the strong, fearsome champion later tonight.
Markus FK: While there are definitely some people on the roster who I’d enjoy hurting a hell of a lot more than Brianna, there is perhaps no one more perfect for me to wrestle tonight. Whether you win or you lose against Clark you’ll know you’ve been in a fight, and on the flipside, whatever happens tonight, she’ll know she’s been in one with me too. That works just fine for me. This is going to be a launchpad for greater times, by hook or by crook this time I will rise.
An assured air about him now, Markus stares straight through the camera lense, as if talking to his opponent tonight face to face.
Markus FK: Bri, you deserve to face the best version of Markus FK there is, and tonight...you’re gonna get exactly that. See you out there.

Tonight Coral and Nami are wearing the same style gear they wore for the TLC match they won the last time they were seen, and this if anything laid down how serious they were taking their upcoming match. Matching colors of course, blues, oranges, peach and taupe like a beach sunset, they still managed to be pretty even as they laid identical serious expressions out towards the camera.
Coral: We should be the Main Event tonight, hands down. The Headliner and the Main tonight aren’t even title matches and ours is. The Liberty Tag Team Championships are important, we work damn hard to keep them important. People want what we have, and they want it badly enough to put themselves through hell to prove it, like Wolves of Legion and the Socialites JUST DID.
Nami: Now this isn’t our first dance with The Society, nuh uh. We still wonder if Seth ever made it right about beating up that priest, but you know he doesn’t have a lick of common sense and he’s rude.
Coral: Hella heckin’ rude.
Nami holds up her hands, shaking her head despite the little wink she threw towards her twin sister and tag team partner.
Nami: Just… understand, alright? No matter what combination of Society mess gets served up tonight, we’re gonna be ready. Coral’s cleared to compete, and I’ve got to say it. Anybody that thinks we didn’t keep getting better since the last time Liberty was in the black, are willfully blind. We are so far above what we were, it’s unreal.
Coral: Trust us, we know. We can hear the bullshit now, THAT hasn’t changed. We aren’t underestimating them. We know for a fact that this business with them, it is and always has been a numbers game. They can come together any which way, and do well enough. If things aren’t going their way, they are not above swarming like some nasty ants and getting the job done that way.
They shuddered in complete sync with each other, then Nami sighed deeply before speaking again.
Nami: Listen real close, and realize this. You fuck with us, you cheat us, you will not know rest until we get ours, and these are facts too. There’s a reason we are and have been THE STANDARD in Liberty Pro for tag team wrestling. We will outlast you fucks, we always do.
Coral: See, it’s just that easy. Be respectful, and we will be back. You dudes aren’t big on that, but this time… you gonna learn.
They nodded, Nami mouthing ‘we’ll see you after’ at the camera, obviously for someone watching, and the pair took off towards the curtains.

Backstage and ahead of her match a little later on, Melissa Reeves is sitting in her locker room. She’s joined by her younger sister, Alex. Though not signed with Liberty, the younger Reeves has recently made a return to wrestling too and it seems the sisters are running through strategy.
Melissa: “Exactly, and that’s when you reverse the pressure, turn their own weight against them.”
Alex nods and smiles, but it fades when she notices the camera. She points it out to Mel, who turns to see it.
Melissa: “Right on cue. Watch this.”
The elder sister stands, approaches the camera and puts her game face on.
Melissa: “Dex Morant, that’s who I face tonight. Should it have been Erik Malone? Maybe so, and I think the fans agree, but instead we’re here.”
She offers a shrug.
Melissa: “That’s okay, I still welcome the challenge. One of Gavin’s students, right? Didn’t exactly wow at No Man’s Land, I’m sure he’s out to rectify that. Thing is, I’ve beaten Gavin, I can sure beat one of his understudies. No disrespect meant, I’m sure he’s plenty talented…”
Behind her, Alex rolls her eyes.
Melissa: “But tonight just won’t be his night.”
Reeves senior shrugs again.
Melissa: “Oh and Erik, buddy, I haven’t forgotten about you. Seems the booking here is destined not to clash us together immediately, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t accepted your challenge. We’ll go, sooner or later, and it won’t be like how things were for you elsewhere. Here you’ll face a stiff challenge, a decorated champion and young veteran.”
She looks back to her sister for a moment, then at the camera again.
Melissa: “We’ll steal the show, that’s our destiny together. See you guys soon.”

Girls of Summer vs #TheSociety
Girls of Summer vs #TheSociety
RECAP As announced earlier in the night, Seth and Warren were chosen to be the ones to represent #TheSociety in this match, with Becky being ringside to support her ‘brothers-in-arms’. The Girls of Summer controlled the early part of this match up, with Nami taking it to Seth Lawless, showing that there is still no love lost between these two groups. Nami and Coral both then kept Seth in their corner, hitting him with a double suplex before yelling out that he was a minister-beater, as he beat up the priest who was doing their wedding to Nathan Callaghan all of those years ago. The tides soon changed when Becky became involved, grabbing both Liberty Tag Championships and raising them in the air. The fans boo’d but this was enough to distract Nami. She confronted Becky, telling her to put those down and that they don’t belong to her. Becky refused, so Nami hit her with a hard right hook that sent Becky flying. But BANG! Warren Corbett speared Nami through the barricade near the announcer table! She was completely done for! Knocked out! Coral was furious. She went to exit the ring but Seth grabbed her from behind and took her down with a reverse DDT. Warren then tagged in and the two men nailed Coral with a double powerbomb. Corbett pinned Coral and the count was three! After a long reign, the Girls of Summer lost the Tag Team Championships to #TheSociety and this wasn’t the first time. Now what exactly does this mean? Because as Tag Champs, #TheSociety can now be booked on either show. This spells bad news for Lily Callaghan. Meanwhile, inside of the ring, Becky had both Tag Team Championships and she put one on Seth’s shoulder and the other on Warren’s. With the Free Bird rule, all three of them are now tag champs. We cut backstage to Dex Morant with Tim Anderson, ready for an interview.
Tim Anderson: Dex, it’s your debut night here in Liberation after being on Freedom during the return of Liberty Pro. How do you feel about fighting someone with the caliber of Melissa Reeves?
Dex smiled widely.
Dex Morant: I feel awesome. I told Nate to throw me to the fire and he did just that. A match with the greatest Liberty Champion this company has seen, in my opinion. And not just that? She’s a rival with my mentor, Gavin Grimes. I’ve seen everything that she can do and I honestly feel ready for her. I feel like I can now show that I can get things back on track here and show that I can hang with the best of the best.
Tim Anderson: Speaking of getting things back on track, what are your goals here at Liberation?
It didn’t take long for Dex to reply.
Dex Morant: There’s a lot of them but first and foremost? I want Dylan Sheperd. More specifically? I want the Anarchy Championship. I want to get down and dirty, I wanna be in the mud, the fucking trenches! I want to show the world how much grit I’ve got. That I can take anything you throw at me, even if it’s Anarchy. So Dylan? Just know that I’m coming for you. But first? First I’m going to put on a show with Melissa Reeves. Let’s do this.
Tim Anderson: Thank you for your time, Dex!
And with that, Morant walked out of the frame and the scene cut away.

"Don't go wasting your emotion. Lay all your love on me!"
We cut to the locker room area, where Avery Smith is seated in front of a mirror applying the finishing touches to her look for the night. Lost in her own little world, she's almost too busy singing away to notice the cameras emerging behind her.
Avery Smith: "Oh, hi there. Sorry, I was having too much fun with ABBA that I didn't notice you there. You know how it is, as soon as Lay All Your Love On Me gets stuck in your head it refuses to leave."
She carefully packs away all of her items which were laid out on the desk in front of her, such as hair straighteners and a stick of lipstick. She spins around on her chair to face the camera, smiling warmly.
Avery Smith: "Anyway, tonight is a huge night for me. For several reasons. Let's start with the obvious one. A main event match against the main Champion here on Liberation is a huge honour, but an even bigger opportunity. Can you imagine the reaction if I beat him? It'd stand me in great stead for a future opportunity, and to be able to call myself the face of Liberation? Well, as a Liberty original it would be a dream come true."
Avery almost tears up just thinking about it. Having grown up in Liberty Pro Wrestling, she would love nothing more.
Avery Smith: "Sure, I was unsuccessful in my pursuit of the Anarchy Championship. But I don't thrive in that environment anymore, I have my beautiful family to think about. But the Liberty Championship? Now that I truly believe I can do. And Derrick is going to get the best of Main Event Aves tonight."
Avery winks and flexes her right bicep, trying to look both cute and intimidating at the same time.
Avery Smith: "And to make things even better, tonight my beautiful fiancée Quinn will be in the front row with our boys cheering me on. I love you all so much!"
She blows a kiss and forms a heart with her hands.
Avery Smith: "Like I said, tonight is really important for me. I've changed a lot during my runs here, but this is definitely my best one. I've got responsibilities now, I'm hungrier to succeed than ever before. And actually, I'm just having so much fun. I could just dance all the time!"
Avery stands up and begins humming, and dancing, to the tune of Don't Go Breaking My Heart. The scene fades.

Dex Morant vs Melissa Reeves
RECAP Despite never fighting, it was clear that Melissa and Dex knew each other well. Dex from studying Mel’s matches with Gavin and Mel by knowing Dex’s moves and tendencies from being an understudy of Gavin Grimes. Despite Dex having knowledge of the former Liberty Champion, she was still the veteran of the match and it showed. She controlled the majority of it, and she almost won with Iron Lock (Heel hook) but Morant managed to make his way to the ropes and break the hold. Melissa backed off but as soon as Dex was back up on his feet, she was right back on him and she nailed him with a Reaver Slam (Angle Slam)! Melissa pinned but NO! Morant kicked out after two! He showed his heart and resilience so far in this one. Melissa smiled and nodded, she appreciated the heart and guts from Morant. She then stalked him, waiting for him to stir. When he stumbled to his feet, Reeves charged and went for Facial Deconstructor (Jericho's Codebreaker) but Dex dodged it! When Reeves turned, Dex grabbed her by her head and NO WAY! Morant nailed the vet with The Crowning (Headlock driver, adopted from Gavin Grimes)!!! It took a second for Morant to catch his breath but he draped an arm across Melissa’s chest and the count was about to be three but NO! Melissa kicked out just before the three! The fans were going nuts and Dex couldn’t help but place his hands on his head in shock. He almost had it. He then hit the top ropes and he went for Red X (630 Splash) but Melissa rolled out of the way. Somehow, Morant landed on his feet, showing his cat-like reflexes but it didn’t matter, Melissa nailed Magnitude Nine (Black Mass) from out of nowhere, knowing she needed this move to truly finish Dex off. The cameras find Brianna Leigh Clark, newly crowned Gotham Champion standing backstage waiting on her upcoming match, all ready to go with her gear just so and her title belt around her waist, gleaming in the low light. The serious expression fades and she gives the camera a bit of a smile before she speaks.
Brianna Clark: It still doesn’t feel real to me. That I finally did it, I slew the dragon, and I took the Gotham Championship. Well, maybe slew is too optimistic, if I know anything about the former King, it’s that he has a really focused view on what’s his so it’s probably just a matter of time before he wants this back. That’s fine, I welcome that, if I’m still holding it when that happens.
Her hand pats the golden plate of her title, then rests there at the top, thumb hooked behind it to push it out a little ways.
Brianna Clark: I really don’t have a problem in defending my championship either, I fully expected to, when the matches were first booked, but that was changed and here we are. Markus is a strong competitor and he’s looking to make a mark, to stake a claim, to show what he’s capable of, and if anyone on this roster understands that, it’s me. It wasn’t that long ago where that was my goal, and my focus.
Brianna looks up for a moment, then she snickers and shakes her head, a grin on her face.
Brianna Clark: I have to say though, it makes me laugh when people doubt how strong I am? It varies though, between the outright disbelief and the subtle little comments. Markus, I feel that the proof is out there, that there’s been no hiding what I’m capable of. When I say I could deadlift more than you weigh, and this goes for Marcus too by the way… I can. He at least knows it. I’m not so sure about you.
Now here’s that flex, Brianna’s bicep looking bold and ready to crash across someone’s head tonight. She starts walking, heading to the ringside area but throws out one more thing.
Brianna Clark: That said? I don’t think you’re a bad guy, not at all. I’ve enjoyed watching you and Ant here in Liberty, I’m aware of who you are and what you two do, and it’s… it’s frankly adorable and I wish you both all the happiness and success in the world. But understand, just because I uplift and support, doesn’t mean that I’m a doormat or a stepping stone. See you out there MFK!

BACKSTAGE
We cut backstage to Nathan Callaghan walking into his office. Walking up to his desk, he finds a note on it, words scribbled in rainbow colors.
Nathan Callaghan: What the fuck is this?
The words on the note say, “Give me Melissa Reeves.” Nathan rolled the note up and tossed it to the side.
Nathan Callaghan: I told the idiot to earn it.
Nathan then turned around and was startled to find Erik Malone standing behind him, and Malone had Nathan’s barbed wire bat in hand.
Nathan Callaghan: Jesus Christ, you creepy fuck! What do you think you’re doing!?
Malone doesn’t say anything and the lights go out and then come back on and when they do, Erik is gone.
Nathan Callaghan: What in the fuck was that? How did he get my baby?
Nathan looked around and the bat was on top of his desk on another note. This note was stained with blood and it said “Or else.” Nathan, who isn’t easily shaken, seemed a bit uneasy before tossing the note aside and trying to play it off.
Nathan Callaghan: Fucking weirdos. I only hired the kid because I felt bad that his sperm donor died. Though I kind of liked Gray. He was stupid but the fun kind of stupid.
Nathan rolled his eyes and shrugged before the scene cut away.

Markus FK vs Brianna Leigh Clark
RECAP Brianna Leigh Clark wasn’t just coming off the biggest win of her career but quite possibly, the biggest win in Liberty history, at least top five, right? Anyway, coming off a huge victory over Max Cerrano, she meant business, wanting to show that she deserved her Gotham Championship. But she was in for trouble tonight as there was a different side of Markus FK in this one. He was DOMINANT to say the least, showing off the strongman powerhouse that he truly is. He easily nailed a Gorilla Press Slam on Brianna before a several release German Suplexes, but this couldn’t put Brianna down. Eventually, Markus began to tire out, his stamina getting the best of him and that’s when BLC came at him with a flurry of clotheslines and slams. Despite their size difference, Briana was able to hit a freaking powerbomb onto Markus! She pinned but he kicked out! Markus stirred to his feet and BLC then hit The Lariat (Crooked arm lariat) but Markus didn’t go down! Brianna went for a second and this one dropped FK to his knees. Brianna then hit the ropes, and this time she went for Incoming! (Shotgun Double Knee) but NO! Markus literally caught her in mid air! He then set her up and nailed her with a powerbomb! But he didn’t let go! NO! He hit a second! He wasn’t done here and he hit a third! A more focused and determined Markus hit Go FK Yourself (Triple Powerbomb) and it was a perfect sequence. This one was clearly over as Markus pinned Brianna and picked up the three count and the win! It’s becoming clearer that Markus, a known tag team wrestler, is now coming into his own, as he just beat the Gotham Champion. RECORDED EARLIER
Recorded earlier in the week, we open in the locker room of Lair South Beach. Liberty Champion Derrick La’Bell is sitting on a bench after an intense training session with none other than his girlfriend and multi-time champion on wrestling, Mimi Smith. He’s cutting his wrist tape and trying to dry his sweat with a towel as he decompresses from the exercise. With a bit of heavy breathing, he begins to speak.
Derrick La’Bell: Two weeks ago, I legitimized my title reign. This week I cultivate a division.
He wipes some sweat off his face and begins to smile.
Derrick La’Bell: Melissa Reeves is the best there is when it comes to one of the faces of Liberty Pro, and I was lucky to beat her. She’s an absolute class act, even if she’s a bit of a hardass. However, I need more tests. I need more contenders and opportunities, and this time that comes in the form of Avery Smith.
He finishes taking his wrist tape off, balls it up and "Kobe"s it into a trashcan off-screen.
Derrick La’Bell: Aves is just as much a pillar of Liberty Season One as Melissa was. She was on the first episode of Liberation, she fought against #TheSociety, she was in the tournament to determine the first Gotham Champion, she has fought for the Liberty Championship, she’s a former Tag Team Champion with Emily Jackson, then she fought Emily Jackson for like 3 months straight, she feuded with the other pillar of Liberty Pro Helena Noir, she held the Anarchy Championship, she was on the first episode of Freedom, and she was in the battle royale to determine the King of New York. Basically, there isn’t a brick in the place she hasn’t touched…
He got a bit out of breath just listing off Avery’s roles in Liberty’s history. This makes him chuckle because it’s honestly an impressive resume.
Derrick La’Bell: And I’m not trying to hunt down Season 1-ers… (or am I?), but the point is that I want this title to represent the people who help carry this brand. From 2017 until now, everyone to ever hold the Liberty Pro Championship busted their ass and carried Liberty on their back. That’s the kind of contenders I want, people who are intertwined in the DNA of this company. Not just returning big names or exciting new signees, but those who started in opening matches, paid their dues the way, and have fought their way into main event recognition.
He pauses with a confident and competitive look on his face. The only thing he’s ever wanted is consistent competition, and now that he leads the top division in Liberty, he has the opportunity to build it up himself with this reign. It’s something he’s honored and proud to do, and that’s what brings so much excitement to this match.
Derrick La’Bell: Avery Smith, I’m super excited to face you. I think you fit that mold I was talking about. A few years ago, you were building quite the portfolio here in Liberty. I see a lot of similarities in your climb here as I have had, and that means you’re more driven than anyone can give you credit for. You’ve worked your ass off to come back to this company from motherhood, you’ve continued to fight for titles since returning, and now it’s time to make your impact on a bigger stage.
He spreads his arms out. Half of it to symbolize the big main event stage Avery would be stepping upon, but also to show just how big he is physically. The subtle flex is subtle, but it’s more so trying to invite her and anyone else to take their shot at him.
Derrick La’Bell: So bring me your absolute best, because I’m out here training with one of your training partner/sister’s best friends, and she’s helping me learn everything I can about you and your style that film and footage won’t tell me. I’m doing everything to make you and everyone else earn their spots up here and I-
Derrick is interrupted by a noise from off-camera. It’s the sound of a door opening and a voice calling out through the locker room.
Mimi Smith: Bam Bam, what’s taking you so long? I just ordered a pepperoni passion pizza and some bubblegum sodas on Uber Eats and we gotta beat them to the house! What could possibly be taking so lo-YOU BETTER NOT BE CUTTING A PROMO WITHOUT ME IN THERE!!!
Derrick’s eyes get big and he reaches for the camera.
Derrick La’Bell: Oops, that’s my queue… Good luck Avery! Can’t wait to see what you’ve got in that ring!
With that, the feed cuts off and the scene closes.

Avery Smith vs Derrick La’Bell
RECAP Tonight was a night about proving yourself and Avery Smith had the opportunity of a lifetime to do it against the reigning Liberty Champion. She came out guns blazing, charging at Derrick who tried to grab her but she dodged it. She then hit the ropes and came back and leaped in the air, going for a hurricanrana but Derrick looked to counter with a powerbomb but no! Avery countered back and powered through with a hurricanrana driver! The fans were cheering on Aves, the youngster of the Smith family. Derrick got to his knees but Smith grabbed his head and BAM! Snap DDT! He quickly got to his knees again but Avery was relentless and this time, she hit Smalltown Boy (high knee)! She pinned but Derrick kicked right at two. Smith soon went for "Spinning Around" - Wrist lock transitioned into a short-arm bicycle knee strike but Derrick easily caught her leg. He then lifted her up and slammed her onto the canvas hard. The tide had turned and despite Avery’s valiant effort, she didn’t stand a chance as Derrick dominated her. He first hit triple gutwrench suplexes before a gorilla press slam. Derrick then took his thumb and crossed over his neck with it, letting the crowd know that this one was over and he meant business. He picked Avery up and put her in the Let Go (Canadian Rack). Normally, someone would tap out of this one immediately but Smith refused! She had something to prove tonight but Derrick yelled at her to give up. Avery yelled back never! He kept the hold on her, intensifying it and the pain made Avery pass out. The referee noticed and rang the bell. Two things can be taken away from this match. First off, Avery showed the world the heart and determination she has. Secondly? Derrick is on a mission. Who will be the person to step up and challenge for the Liberty Championship?
