LIBERTY PRO WRESTLING PRESENTS...
LIBERATION: EPISODE THREE
LIVE ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND, 2017 FROM THE HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM IN MANHATTAN, NEW YORK

PRE-SHOW: MATCH ONE: TAG TEAM MATCH
Ivy Warner & Emily Jackson vs. Black Lightning (Romeo Black & Dick Lightning)
wrote:
The tag team match started off as a back and forth affair. Despite not working together before, Ivy Warner and Emily Jackson looked as if they were a well oiled machine as they connected with a series of double team moves. Romeo Black and Dick Lightning were no slouches though, as they showed that they were forming one of the best budding teams in Liberty Pro. The match continued back and forth until Romeo had Emily down. Emily finally countered him with an enziguri but as Emily went to tag Ivy, Ivy had left her corner to walk towards the ramp and yell at Felix Vialpando, who was standing at the entrance way taking notes. Romeo ended up dropping Emily with blackout before tagging in Dick Lightning, who hit her with Black Dynamite. Dick pinned Emily and got the three count for his team.
WINNERS: Black Lightning by pinfall @ 6:25
Romeo Black and Dick Lightning were declared the winners as the referee raised their hands. Ivy realized what happened as Felix laughed at the top of the entrance way. Ivy rolled into the ring to check on Emily, who was clearly upset.
BACKSTAGE
*the scene opens on a short and brief walk through of Vítor Matas mansion in Lisboa, before walking out to the backyard where Vítor Mata lay on a wooden pool chair next to a large rectangular pool with a waterfall nearby providing the calming sound of water rushing. Hes wearing a expensive Hawaiian shirt and a pair of tight fitting swimming trunks with a pair of sunglasses over his eyes*
A nine-time world champion, Tyler Chandler. Hard to believe seeing that the man has failed to pick up a victory so far. In fact he is the reason with The Society are unfortunately at the top currently. Like I said, he's a nine-time world champion, looking for a tenth. Yet he couldn't beat three goth kids. What makes anyone think he's going to beat me? I should be challenging for a title, not fighting the two failures I partnered with the first show. Nathan Callaghan, I want you to personally tell me why I'm not challenging for either the Liberty Champion or the Anarchy Championship.
*Vítor sits up in his chair and takes off his sunglasses and places them to his left. The look in his eyes is comparable to a snake bite, and begins speak in a assertive tone*
Right now I should be in the main event. Not your son, and not the other bitch, and if not doing that surely I should be gearing up to take the Liberty Champion for Becky Belfour, but I'm not doing that either. I give this brand recognition, that all those other idiots couldn't dream of get. This leads me to ask again, why I'm I not challenging for the Liberty Champion or the Anarchy Championship.? Now there's a new championship, The Gotham Championship. Guess what, my match isn't a tournament match for the belt. Why am I among the sludge of this company when I'm the best in this whole company. What does Alexis Mercer have? She yet to record a win, the same goes for her opponent, who is also your son. What does Ashleigh Powell have over me? It that she made Becky Belfour tap out? I could do that if I was blindfolded and paraplegic. This has lead me to tell you to give me a championship match, not request, but tell you. I want it next week, in the main event. I want it for Liberty Championship in a Cage Match, so the brainwashed filth doesn't interfere with my victory. If you you don't make this happen, I'll make it happen for you
*The camera fade to black and the phrase Vitória para mim, vitória por Portugal and the video officially ends.*
MATCH TWO: SINGLES MATCH
Ellie Poe vs. Larclan
wrote:
The match starts off with Larclan immediately on the attack as Ellie back pedals, parrying the striking attempts of her opponent with stinging leg kicks of her own. The leg kicks seem to have little effect as Larclan grimaces but continues to come forward, eventually cornering Ellie and forcing her to cover up after a series of strikes to the body. Timing Larclans strikes Ellies able to duck out of the corner and send Larclan stumbling into the turnbuckles with a dropkick to his back. As he bounces off the turnbuckles Ellie uses the ropes to hit a Tornado DDT, driving Larclans head to the canvas. But Larclan manages to spring to his feet as quick as Ellie does, showing no effects from the DDT he catches Ellie by surprise. She lunges at his legs but he counters quickly drops her with a snap piledriver.
He begins to set Ellie up for a leg trapped sleeper but shes quick to counter with a small package for a count of two. Both wrestlers scamper to their feet but Ellies a step ahead catching Larclan with a wicked enziguiri. The crowd buzzes as Ellie stalks her opponent, waiting while a groggy Larclan staggers to his feet. She launches towards him and drops her opponent with Black Rain (a Muay Thai flying knee strike). She goes for the pin and manages a two count before Society member Seth Lawless rips her to the outside by her leg. Seth hits a stunned Ellie with a left to the face before hoisting up and driving her to the floor with Detroit is Burning (a pop up power bomb). As the referee calls for the bell, disqualifying Larclan, a smiling Lawless stares down at his unconscious victim, smiling while taunting the crowd.
WINNER: Ellie Poe by DQ @ 7:47
Seth climbs into the ring and helps Larclan to his feet before calling for a mic. As the crowd screams obscenities at him Seth laughs and points down at the motionless Poe. Seth tells the fans that this was Nathan Callaghans fault. That Nathan played favorites and signed Ellie to a contract despite the roster being capped. That Nathan even went so far as to give Ellie the match she asked for while Seth himself was left off the card entirely. So Ellie paid the price for being the teachers pet and maybe now people will learn that the Society will get their respect one way or another.
RINGSIDE.
There was a hush over the ring until Backseat Freestyle rings out, which gets a heavy cheer as the rebellious Zeke Reed made his way onto the stage. He headed down to the ring, appreciating the cheers of the fans in a subdued way. He entered the ring, beckoning for a microphone. He got it tossed over to him, and he took a moment to listen to the roar of the crowd. He even let a smirk come onto his face for a moment before he told them to hush. When they did, the World Star brought the microphone to his lips.
Zeke Reed: Tonight, I got a chance to face against a man that came across the way from Empire Wrestling in Felix Vialpando. Were both hungry young men looking for our chance to sit at the table of champions. When we do, nobody will be able to deny our prowess. Tonight, this is a clash of the future. Im the Liberty Pro homegrown man while Felix comes from HKW and Empire, looking to make a new home here. So I take it that its my job to give him a welcoming present in the form of this L hes going to take tonight.
Zeke Reed: Thats not the sole reason Im out here. You see, we got ourselves an infestation. You all know, I know it, and everyone in the back knows it. Unfortunately, it came down hard on a girl that didnt deserve it. None of us deserves to be tormented by Becky and her crew, but especially not Ashleigh Powell.
A heavy cheer broke out from the name drop, to which Zeke nodded approvingly at. No matter how he might act or believe, theres a honest respect for the fan favorite.
Zeke Reed: Im not going to sit here in this place, my home, and watch as some crazy bitch, her lovesick bitch, and all of the other bastards that got drunk off the Kool-Aid. Melissas a little more passive, but she knows what has to be done. Ashleigh knows too. We all do, so Im dropping this right now. If anyone got beef with me, put it aside, because were going to put down a fake Society that dont know what the hell theyre talking about. I made a promise that I was going to stomp Becky out, didnt matter if her championship is up for grabs or not.
He pointed out to the crowd.
Zeke Reed: Yall dont want them here. Yall tired of seeing them act like theyre the victims or theyre high and mighty because they got numbers. But they dont know nothing about the war that Zeke f**king Reed is about to bring them. Im on that scorched earth mentality. Anyone in the Society that is out there, looking to try to reinforce a scared, little girls ego is going to get stomped out. I said on Twitter, but Im out here, giving you all the final warning before all of yall heads start meeting the goddamn concrete.
Zeke paused for a moment, looking down.
Zeke Reed: And if no one wants to stand with me, fine. Im willing to run an one man campaign against some stupid f**king pricks. I know how to work this, and I know what they fear. They fear people like me. Like Melissa. Like Carina and Ashleigh. And like my opponent tonight, Felix.
He stood resolute, his confidence not waning at all.
Zeke Reed: I promise you that by some will, by some way, Im going to handle this. Beckys not my champion. And her Society dont run this sh*t. Im going to have do what someone in their life didnt do and smack them out of this stupid damn dream.
Zeke turned to the camera.
Zeke Reed: Becky...you think I run my mouth too much? You better believe that it was better this way than whats about to happen. Youre going to have starting to pick your boys teeth up off the ground.
With that, Zeke dropped the microphone, leaving the ring to a robust crowd, who were behind at least his want to destroy the Society. The scene then faded to black.
MATCH THREE: SINGLES MATCH
Vitor Mata vs. Tyler Chandler
wrote:
Vitor Mata and Tyler Chandler tied up in the middle of the ring. Although they were nearly identical in size, Chandlers experience advantage gave him the upper hand as he pulled Mata into a standing headlock. Chandler dropped down, flipping the Pride of Portugal to the mat, wearing him down with the headlock. Vitor refused to give in, and after several moments, Chandler let go of the hold. Chandler stood up and bounced off the far ropes, returning and connecting with a dropkick to the face as Vitor tried standing.
Chandler slid under the bottom rope to the ring apron. He looked around him at the crowd behind him and waited for Vitor to get up. As Mata stood, Chandler jumped up onto the top rope, using it as a springboard and hit a flying forearm smash that sent Mata across the ring and rolling to the floor as the crowd came alive. Chandler stood to his feet with a grin as Mata made his way to his feet on the floor. Chandler ran to the far ropes and then charged forward, leaping over the top rope and hitting a flip onto Mata on the outside. Chandler slid Mata into the ring and went for a cover, picking up a two count.
Mata rolled to the corner and stood slowly as Chandler made a gun motion with his hand towards Mata, signaling he was going for the kill. He charged the corner and went for a flying body splash, but Mata dropped and rolled out of the way, sending Chandler crashing into the corner and crumbling to the mat. Mata used the time to recover, shaking the cobwebs loose. As both men reached their feet, Mata hit an impressive standing kick that rocked Chandler. Mata then grabbed Chandler in a suplex position. He turned his body and hit a suplex into the corner, giving the fans another reason to come alive.
Mata had a second wind and his confidence became evident as he shouted into the ear of his fallen opponent that he wouldnt let down Portugal and that he was the Pride of Portugal. The mistake proved costly as Chandler, with lightning quick speed, reached his right foot up and connected to the head of Mata as he was taunting. Chandler kicked up and hit a flying forearm smash to Mata, leveling him again.
Chandler could taste victory. He stalked Mata as he began to climb to his feet. Chandler ran towards him, going for The C.O.D. to finish the match but Mata was able to avoid it, sending Chandler to the mat.
The fans began cheering as Scarlett Highland made her way to the top of the entranceway. The rookie smirked as Vitor turned his attention to her immediately. Scarlett waved at him, before moving her eyes towards Tyler Chandler, who was getting back up from his missed finish attempt.
Mata dove towards the mat, driving his shoulder into the back of the leg of Chandler. Tyler screamed out in pain as Mata wasted no time locking in the Mata Lock! Chandler fought it off valiantly, but eventually he had no choice but to tap out, giving victory to Vitor Mata.
WINNER: Vitor Mata by Submission @ 14:22
The referee walked to Vitor after the match and raised his hand, only for Vitor to demand his hand be raised for a second time. Tyler Chandler was on the mat, in pain as Vitor looked back up the entranceway, moving towards the ropes. He leaned over and nodded his head at Scarlett Highland who nibbled on her bottom lip before turning and heading to the back, leaving Mata confused as to why the young woman had appeared to watch him.
MATCH FOUR: HANDICAP & SPECIAL REFEREE MATCH
Wren Sweet vs.The Brady Bros w/ Cami McGatha as Special Guest Referee
wrote:
Wren and Cami start off in the ring, Cami dressed in her official referee shirt looks more than a little uncomfortable and appears to be trying to talk wren out of the match down to the last few moments before the Brady Bros make their way down to the ring. Colt and Finn roll into the ring to a cheer from the crowd, Finn moves off to the corner to warm up and Wren steps back with a scowl on her face, turning to mouth something at Finn with a grin. Colt checks on Cami and the pair share a few words before she nods and calls for the bell.
Finn hands back at the start, instead of the boys both attacking Wren handicap style, he instead stays close to the ropes whilst Colt and Wren go at each other in the ring, the pair share a solid back and forth with Wren taking Colt down to the mat with a bulldog, bouncing off the bottom rope with a little hop to stamp down on the back of his head, she then turns to Finn to start mouthing off at him. Finn looks to Colt who rolls up to his feet but gives a nod to his brother who takes Wren down with a running spear from the corner her was standing in.
Colt backs up, again eliminating the handicap part of the match as Finn and Wren hit the mat with Finn in top, he jumps up to nail her with a knee drop, when he goes for a second wren rolls out of the way and gets back to her feet, the pair square off for a moment before Wren looks to Colt and yells at him to get involved in the match, he smiles and shakes his head.
Wren calls him a few choice words before she and Finn hook up, he gets the upper hand and takes her down to the mat with a leg sweep, pulling her back up into a belly to back suplex. Wren is a little slower to her feet this time and the pair lock up once more; it looks like Wren may get the upper hand this time, but Finn is again able to seep her leg and drops her, she slams the mat and yells in annoyance. From his spot in the corner Colt chuckles and Wren asks him if he thinks that's funny? Before he can respond Wren slides across the ring and nails Finn with a solid forearm between the legs!
Finn immediately hits the mat with a pained sound, doubling over as Wren pulls to her feet. Just as Cami is about to call for a disqualification, Colt stops her. He shakes his head and the pair share words, before anything can come of it, Finn just manages to get to his feet pulling his brother away the pair start to argue over the disqualification and Wren smirks, turning to Cami she winks at her, this only appears to anger Finn who goes to spear Wren, but she moves out of the way and he instead spears Cami down, knocking her through the ropes! Finn immediately gets up and starts to check on Cami.
Colt grabs Wren from behind and bounces her face off the turnbuckle, turning her around into his finisher, he then drops Wren on her head and with a quick roll up, Cami slides back into the ring to make the three count and he picks up the win.
WINNERS: The Brady Bros @ 15:43
Colt immediately releases and backs up, but he walks into Finn who is yelling at him for what happened, not knowing they just won, meanwhile Wren is now in Camis face as both teams argue among themselves.
A loud slap echoed through the air as Cami slaps Wren clean around the face, which prompts Wren to slam her down into the mat, Wren is now on top of a Cami but before she can do anything else, Finn grabs her around the waist and pulls her away, talking to her as he pushes her up against the ropes trying to calm her down. Meanwhile, Colt and Cami roll out of the ring and back up the ramp a little.
Finn and Wren stand together inside the ring, whilst Cami and Colt stand on the ramp, backing up towards the backstage area as they go. Wren is handed her belt and shoves Finn away from her slightly to thrust it up into the air, her other hand pointing between Cami and Championship gold.
BACKSTAGE
The scene cuts backstage to Sean Callaghan standing in his locker room, applying tape to his hands and wrist when Cass Baumer comes up with a microphone.
Cass Baumer: Sean, can I get a word?
Sean Callaghan: Yeah, whats up?
Cass nods and asks her question.
Cass Baumer: How does it feel to finally get out of the situation between your father and Brendan?
Sean scoffed and shook his head.
Sean Callaghan: I dont know. I dont care. Im just ready to move on and not be involved in that drama. I want to focus on my singles career. Ryan and Liam are at the top of the cards where theyre at. They were in big time matches at CWC Worldwide. I want that for myself as well.
Cass Baumer: Do you feel like youre slipping when it comes to your brothers?
Sean scoffed and shook his head.
Sean Callaghan: My loyalty to my father has been holding me back. Ryan was smart not to join here. Liam was smart to bail on Empire when dad was running it. But here I am Being an idiot.
Sean sighed and shook his head.
Sean Callaghan: Im done with it though. Im done with the drama. Alexis Mercer is going down and Im advancing in this tournament. Simple as that.
Cass Baumer: Thanks for your time and good luck.
Sean Callaghan: Thanks Cass, Ill see you around, yeah?
Sean smiled and nodded and Cass smiled back before Sean walked off and the scene faded out.
*A DAY IN THE LIFE*
A video package begins playing, showing Liberty Pro rookie, Scarlett Highland. Highland is wearing a pink and white print sundress as she clutches a pink purse with her Chihuahua, Jack Pettington's head poking out of it.
Scarlett Highland: What's up everyone? I'm Scarlett Highland and this is a day in the life of ME!
The font 'A Day In The Life of: Scarlett Highland' swirls across the screen. The next shot we were greeted with was one of Scarlett at a local Starbucks and a ten second snapchat style clip.
Scarlett Highland: I can never start my day without a Vanilla Bean Frap from Starbucks. Trust me, this is a must have ladies...and gents too!
The clip fades out into another snap-style video as Scarlett is taking pictures with fans in New York. Her voice narrates the scene.
Scarlett Highland: The fans can't get enough of me, and can you blame them? Free selfies and hugs equals free promotion. Come get your X's and O's!
Scarlett's high pitched laugh fills the screen next as the scene switches to a high end store in New York City, with Scarlett clutching a handful of shopping bags as she exits the store.
Scarlett Highland: I can buy whatever I want, but don't hate on me for it. I mean, I was born into money. Like...it's amazing!
Scarlett winked at the camera as it now switched to a live shot of her in the arena, ready for her match.
Scarlett Highland: Tonight, I wrestle Isabella Strickland, I think that's her name, right?
Highland held a hand up as she pulled her phone out and sent a snapchat out of her making a funny face as a filter with glasses and big lips took over her normal face. She then put her phone away.
Scarlett Highland: Sorry, my fans love my snaps. Anywho, tonight, Isabella and the tournament match. I've had a rough start in Liberty, but come on, it's because look who I've faced! First I had a match against someone who should be in a padded room. Ugh.
Her face twisted in disgust.
Scarlett Highland: And then...get this, I won against Ivy and she made excuses after. Like, not my prob that you brought dirty laundry into the ring. Wash yourself first next time.
Her now trademark high pitched laugh came next, as she tried to take on a more serious tone.
Scarlett Highland: And then I had a match with weapons and like, mad people in it...and that's not my thing. So in the only fair match I've had, I'm undefeated. I rock. Anyway, tonight Isabella Strickland is next. Now, she looks like she could break me in half, but Issy, Isaboo...Issa-wrap for you tonight.
A sly smile crossed her face.
Scarlett Highland: Oh and fans? Thanks for supporting me. I really enjoy you all living vicariously through me in the ring. I won't let you down when I advance in this tournament, on the way to the first championship of my career.
Her phone went off as she looked down, her eyes widening.
Scarlett Highland: Okay camera, get lost, I have snaps to send!
Scarlett shoos the camera away as we move away from the high strung rookie.
MATCH FIVE: TOURNAMENT MATCH FOR THE GOTHAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Sean Callaghan vs. Alexis Mercer
wrote:
As the bell rang Sean struck quickly catching Alexis off guard with a missile dropkick which sent her down to the mat. Sean picked Alexis back up to her feet and whipped her into the ropes but missed a clothesline as Alexis narrowly ducked under Seans arm. Alexis was able to counter this and hit a perfect swinging neckbreaker. Alexis covered Sean but he was only able to pick up a two count before he kicked out.
Both competitors would soon get back to their feet and Alexis was able to back Sean into the corner with a quick flurry of chops and punches without giving Sean a second to respond. Sean attempted to free himself from his position trapped in the corner but Alexis was unstoppable. She continued to throw chops and strikes onto Sean until the referee counted to four and this caused her to back out of the corner and let up.
As Alexis was distracted with the referee, Sean took the opportunity to blindside Alexis with a roaring elbow. Sean picked Alexis up from the ground and set her up for a powerbomb, which nailed with perfect execution. Sean then went for the cover but Alexis kicked out after two. Sean picked Alexis up, looking a bit frustrated as he did and she began to throw elbow strikes into his gut to counter.
The two continued to trade elbows and punches until Sean managed to get the upperhand by throwing a hard knee into Alexiss gut, followed by a perfectly executed inverted DDT. Before Sean went for a pin but Alexis countered by rolling Sean up with a small package. Alexis picked up the two count before Sean ended up kicking out. The two got up and traded more blows before Alexis whipped Sean towards the ropes. He bounced off of them and she bent down, looking to flip Sean over her back. But he countered this by nailing her with The Beantown Strike (a running knee strike to the head.) Sean hooked her leg for the cover and picked up the three count.
WINNER: Sean Callaghan @ 7:57
Seans hand is raised in victory as hes declared the winner of the match and he has officially advanced in the tournament for the Gotham Championship.
BACKSTAGE
Cutting backstage, Isabella Strickland is shown staring into the camera. A faint smile across her face; as weak as it is, its genuine.
Strickland: What a ride the world of professional wrestling offers. I started out as a humble wrestler, transitioned into training and wrestling, now? Ive got a football career in front of me. I get to say that Ive done it all. But thatd be a lie. Every year, I get closer to looking at a retirement date, but opportunities are opening up for me. I cant quit. I wont quit. So when I see that Im given a chance to win the Gotham Championship? Do you really think I care about how old Im getting?
She smirks and shakes her head.
Strickland: Of course not. Like a fine wine, things are just getting better for me, but thats only if I keep working hard. The day I wake up and think even for a split second that its time to hang it up...thats when Ill quit. But I havent had that day yet. Im only getting better. So you can walk into this like some young gun and think that youve got a bright future ahead of you, because, hey...you might. But right now? Im here. And Im a torch holder for the old guard.
Strickland crosses her arms; a soft chuckle following.
Strickland: I look at Scarlett Highland and I see a lot of potential. A rough start, but she can be molded and crafted into a great wrestler. But shes got time. She needs to grow. If she wants the help, Ill be there. But tonight, were standing across the ring from one another. Opponents. Shes cute, she might run her mouth a bit, but shes got potential. But...Gotham Championship potential?
Taking one step toward the camera, Isabella smiles
Strickland: That potential belongs to me.
A wink from Strickland as she walks off the camera; the scene fading out and jumping elsewhere.
BACKSTAGE.
The camera cut backstage to where Wren Sweet is stamping her way down the hall, it's not long after their match and she is still in her ring gear, when she reaches the locker room she shares with Cami, she swings it open to find it empty, an angry and irritated grunt escapes her before she turns and goes to March off, instead though she walks into Tim Anderson.
Tim Anderson: Wren, hi. I was hoping we could talk about-
Before he can finish, Wren grabs the mic from his hand and shoves him to one side, stepping up to the camera she stares down it and quickly adjusts her hair, putting a smile on her face she huffs out an exhale before addressing the audience.
Wren Sweet: Tonight, the Brady Bros
Wren says the name with a look of disgust, her lip curled and sarcasm practically dripping from her tone.
Wren Sweet: Showed the entire world that they are CHICKEN! That's right, you heard me. Chicken. Colt didn't even make a move to pin me until after his own brother speared Cami from the ring... Cami McGatha, his own girlfriend! The Brady's want you to believe they are the nice guys, the good guys, but the fact is, Colt is a horrible, selfish idiot who doesn't deserve Cami OR to ever come close to MY.. I uh, I mean our, tag team championships.
Wren pauses and lifts the belt up a little from her shoulder to dictate her point.
Wren Sweet: He even used his own brother, the one for whom he so badly wanted to avenge my PERFECT fair tactics in our last match, to get the win. Tonight, he may have pinned me and he might dance around on social media claiming he got the W.
Wren pauses again and shakes her head sadly.
Wren Sweet: But the only person to really get served an L tonight was all of you, when the Brady Bitches screwed you all out of what should have been an amazing match!
Wren shoves the mic back and Tim and shoulder checks him as she storms off down the hall.
MATCH SIX: TOURNAMENT MATCH FOR THE GOTHAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Isabella Strickland vs. Scarlett Highland
wrote:
The bell sounds and the two competitors meet in the center of the ring. Isabella Strickland displays the height difference as she calls for a test of strength with Scarlett Highland. Though, its more mocking than anything as Isabellas hand slowly goes higher and higher, way above Scarletts range. It draws a laugh from the crowd, but Highland isnt amused, putting her hands on her hips. Strickland calls for Highland to leap up and grab her hand, but Scarlett opts out and instead goes for a basement dropkick to Isabellas knee! The larger opponent stumbles down to one knee and gets driven to the canvas with a DDT. Scarlett goes for a lateral press pin, but Isabella powers out and tosses Highland over her head. The two get back up, staring down one another as Strickland goes in and manhandles Highland, tossing her around the ring with ease. But ducking a big boot attempt from Isabella, Scarlett pops up on the ropes for a springboard crossbody.
Rolling on, the match puts Highlands inexperience on display as she boldly charges in to take Strickland down. Despite being a rookie, Scarlett finds herself being able to hang with the veteran for a solid chunk of the match. Her impressive high flying ability is showcased as Highland connects with a beautiful moonsault off the top rope following a hurricanrana, but Strickland kicks out at two. Keeping her momentum, Scarlett goes up top and prepares herself for something big, motioning for Strickland to get up to her feet. As soon as Isy stands up, Scarlett takes off with a flying crossbody! Highland holds on with the press and the ref counts. One! TWO! THRE-NO! A last second kick out. Scarlet cant believe it and looks at the ref, but he informs her it was just a two count. But as shes disputing the call, Isabella Strickland slowly rises up to her feet behind Highland.
A German suplex attempt by Strickland is countered as Highland lands on her feet and pushes Isy into the ropes, rolling her back with an OConnor roll pin attempt. As the referee starts his count, Scarlett grabs onto Isabellas tights! One! Two! THRE-NO! Strickland kicks out and sends Highland into the corner, Isabella taps her knee and comes charging in, looking for her bicycle knee. But just as Strickland is running in, Highland gets her legs up and drives them right into Isys face. She starts wrapping her legs around Isabellas head and tries for her hurricanrana, but Strickland holds on! The Baltimore native throws Scarlett up and drops her right into the corner! Stunned in the corner, Highland cant protect herself as shes dropped with Stricken! The bicycle knee drops Scarlett and Isabella hooks her legs for a three count.
WINNER: Isabella Strickland @ 13:35
EARLIER TODAY...
A video played on the 'tron, showing Melissa Reeves at a signing event pre-show. She's shown talking to the camera as she signed a shirt.
Melissa: "So we're here at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan, a legendary venue when it comes to pro wrestling. And the fans, the fans are great here!"
She smiled as she passed the signed shirt back to a younger fan.
Melissa: "People often ask why wrestle? And you know, a big thing for me is the fans. This interaction, the energy you get from talking to the public...it can be uplifting. Inspiring, even."
She stopped to pose for a photo with a fan before exchanging a few words with her, and then turned back to the camera.
Melissa: "For me this is a huge bonus. Becky Balfour? You'd never catch her-"
She was cut off by small chorus of booing from the fans, which gave her cause to smile wide.
Melissa: "You'd never catch Becky out here, engaging with our audience and helping to inspire people. Like, I met a young girl about half an hour ago who told me that when she grows up, she wants to do what I do. Because women like myself - and others, of course - show that it can be done. Does Becky inspire anyone? I doubt it."
She shrugged.
Melissa: "So whilst she's off somewhere, probably moping about and feeling sorry for herself, I'm here having a blast and spending time with the most important people in the industry - our fans. And that? That is what a true champion should be doing."
A few fans began to chant "Mel for champ" which, again, gave her cause to smile.
Melissa: "Best believe when I win it, I'll still be here. Still mingling with the fans, still signing shirts and taking photos. I'll be here, representing Liberty Pro, giving the company a champion they can be proud of. And not just for the money, which is all Callaghan cares about. No, a champion that the fans will be behind and a champion that will fight hard but fair. End of the day, that's what we need here in Liberty: a true champion. And that's what I'll deliver."
She nodded to her own words and stopped for another photo, before the scene faded as she talked to the fan.
MATCH SEVEN: TOURNAMENT MATCH FOR THE GOTHAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Alicia Lukas vs. Avery Smith
wrote:
The match began with Avery and Alicia getting into each other's faces. A few barbed words from Alicia seemed to upset Avery and she shoved Lukas back, only to receive a forearm shot in return. Alicia quickly forced Avery up against the ropes before an Irish whip saw her catch Smith on the return with a power slam. Alicia pinned but Avery kicked out after one.
Avery quickly countered and grabbed the arm of Lukas and putting it in an armbar. Lukas screamed out in pain but refused to tape out. Avery yanked more and more, but a roll from Alicia broke the hold. She stood, holding the arm, and took a big boot from Avery in the process. A cover brought a two count before Alicia kicked out.
Avery got to her feet and motioned for Alicia to stand. She did, holding the arm again, and walks a harsh flowing DDT from Avery. Avery got another two count before Alicia kicked out. Avery dragged Alicia toward one of the corners and climbed up, back to her opponent. Before Avery could launch herself, Alicia stood and jumped at the ropes, knocking Avery off balance and out of the ring to the mats below.
Alicia climbed the turnbuckle and as she did, Jacob Daniels walked down to the ring and took a seat at the announcers table and he put on a headset to help call the match. Alicia shook her head before she leaped off of the turnbuckle as Avery got to her feet and Alicia took Smith down with a diving crossbody. Lukas yelled something at JD who simply laughed and clapped his hands together. Lukas went back to Avery and picked her up and rolled her into the ring.
Lukas slid into the ring and quickly applied the Lioness Lock onto Avery. Avery struggled and yelled in pain as she tried to reach the ropes. Avery had no luck reaching the ropes and JD got up from the announcer table and walked towards the ring. He looked right at Alicia and began to say something to her which caused Alicia to let go of the hold. Lukas and JD traded words and this gave Avery Smith time to get up. Avery grabbed Alicia by her wrist and turned her around before hitting her with Endgame (Wrist lock transitioned into a short-arm bicycle knee strike). Avery pinned Lukas and got the three count.
WINNER: Avery Smith by pinfall @ 10:35
Avery Smiths hand is raised in victory as she advances on in the Gotham Championship Tournament. Jacob Daniels meanwhile walks up the ramp, laughing as Alicia looks on from her knees as she holds her head, looking frustrated. When Avery looked to shake Alicias hand, Alicia drove her knee into Averys gut and hit her with a Go To Sleep, showing her frustration.
RINGSIDE[
As the scenes back into the arena 10 Toes by. Nipsey Hussle hits the PA System. Once the song hits the arena fills with boos as the man the theme song belonged to steps out onto the stage with a grin on his face. It was none other than the Undisputed SAP North Atlantic Champion Felix Vialpando who wore a grin as he looked out to the Liberty Pro crowd that booed him. He shrugs his shoulders and struts down the ramp as if he had purpose. Once he gets into the ring he is handed a microphone. Vialpando waits for the fans boos to die down before he begins to speak.
FELIX VIALPANDO: Is this really the welcome I get?
More boos.
FELIX VIALPANDO: Always knew you people needed to take notes on being good people and not full a shit, but my God. The notes needed for you all tonight is at an all time high.
Even more boos. Felix just waves him off as he adjusts his championship belts on his shoulders.
FELIX VIALPANDO: Okay, thats enough of that. Im not here for you people...Im here for me and ONLY me. So zip it!
This just made the fans angrier.
FELIX VIALPANDO: People have been asking me why for a while now. Why did you leave Empire Pro? Why did vacate the EPW Canadian Championship right after you won it? Why did you come to Liberty Pro? Why did you screw over Ivy Warner? WELL FOLKS
Felix looks around.
FELIX VIALPANDO: Ive stated numerous times why I left Empire Pro. I vacated the title because well...If I didnt have any respect for the title or the company I would have taken the title and brought it here. But despite what others might try and say I respect the championship y the company so I did not. I just wanted to be in a better situation rather than be stuck wondering how that machine functioned without a proper manuel.
He shrugs his shoulders.
FELIX VIALPANDO: And that brings me here to Liberty Pro. Here I am able to actually do something that matters to me and is quite frankly worth my time and efforts...And you know what that is you lab rats? Hmm? Do you? Thats educate you all on how useless each and everyone of you are. To make you better people. To make sure you all have the tools to know what it is good and what is bad because quite frankly I dont believe none of you know a damn thing! But thats okay...I have the notes! I have the knowledge! Luckily for you all, I am here and I can do this kind service for you all. As well be this companys main freaking attraction.
Felix smirks.
FELIX VIALPANDO: Why did I screw over Ivy Warner? Truth is...I didnt screw over Ivy Warner. Ivy Warner screwed over Ivy Warner!
Boos.
FELIX VIALPANDO: Its the truth! The truth I tell you! All she had to do was win that match! A match that was being called straight down the middle from the start! She lost fair and square. Believe me, its in my notes. My notes dont lie.
More boos. Felix holds up his index finger.
FELIX VIALPANDO: Dont believe me? Well look for yourselves! My notes say Im better than Emilio Vialpando. Its true.
More boos.
FELIX VIALPANDO: My notes state that Im better than Paz Guevara and I was the True EPW Canadian Champion. I sure proved that to be a fact as well being better than trash juice like Smith Jones no less.
Felix laughs.
FELIX VIALPANDO: But yeah, I guess sometimes people who live out their lives being garbage prevail and take pride in...Nevermind. Like I was saying, my notes tells no lies!
Felix looks around to the fans who boo him.
FELIX VIALPANDO: Why did you screw over Ivy Warner in the CWC US Championship Contender Battle Royal? BECAUSE SHE SCREWED ME! I would be the CWC US Champion right now if it wasnt for her! Its in my notes! So its true damnit! Just because she couldnt win a single freaking match I was officiating as good as any other referee she decides to screw me out of my chance to be a CWC Champion!? UGH!?!
Before Felix can continue his mic is cut, he taps on it several times but nothing happens.
??: Liar, Liar Pants on fire!
A female voice calls out in a sing song tone. Felix looks around obviously confused before the crowd erupts into cheers and Ivy Warner walks out onto the stage.
Ivy Warner: Now Felix, you've been telling nasty little fibs haven't you?
She clucks her tongue at him in a disapproving way.
Ivy Warner: Hush now, you had your turn!
She presses her finger to her lips when he tries to shout something up the ramp at her, the crowd laughs as she makes a pouty face at him, mocking his mic not working.
Ivy Warner: The aliens and I, went on a little hacking expedition and do you know what we found, Felix the Fibber? Hmmm...
Ivy slowly pulls her other hand from behind her back, showing that she is holding Felix's notes; he stops in the ring and holds his hands up. Shaking his head as Ivy brings her mic back to her lips.
Ivy Warner: Let's read some of these notes shall we? Ahem: Ivy Warner cost me the CWC US Championship? LIES!
As she yells the word lies, she rips the page from the notebook and tears it up, throwing it out into the crowd.
Ivy Warner: Scarlett beat Ivy fair and square? LIES!
She again tears the page up, when she flips it over to the next one she laughs a little and tilts her head.
Ivy Warner: Paz Guevara has the nicest-- oh, I don't think the aliens would approve of me reading this one out, now would they?
Ivy walks a little way down the ramp, holding the book up she stares down Felix who is now walking the ropes and calling for her to get in the ring.
Ivy Warner: These, are ALL LIES! You are a LIAR! LIES LIES LIES LIES LIES!!
As she starts to yell the word lies over and over she tosses the mic to the floor and rips up the book entirely, throwing it up in the air like confetti, as the pieces tumble down out of the air Ivy and Felix stare one another down.
Ivy Warner: It's only a matter of time now Felix... Cheaters, NEVER prosper!
Ivy kicks up the pieces of the notebook and backs her way up the ramp as the pair share words slung back and forth.
MATCH EIGHT: SINGLES MATCH
Melissa Reeves vs. Isla Carter
wrote:
Melissa Reeves looked to ground Carter early; Carter escaped and avoided a diving crossbody. They went back and forth before Isla tried a German suplex but Melissa threw elbow shots into her face to get her off before nailing a pele kick. Reeves then dropped onto Isla with a elbow drop before she ended up hooking a leg for a quick two but Carter managed to kick out. Both women got up and Isla scored with a dropkick that sent Reeves into the corner. Isla hit Melissa with an uppercut before stepping back and running towards her and hitting a diving corner splash into the corner.
Carter fired off with some chops before Melissa took her down with an enziguri. Mel tried to pick Isla up but Carter hit Melissa with a headbutt. Carter tried to pull Melissa towards her for a clothesline but Melissa used an armdrag to escape. Isla ran back towards Melissa and took her down with a spinning heel kick. Isla then springboarded off of the ropes and turned, going for a springboard roundhouse kick but Melissa leaped in the air and caught Isla with a Facial Deconstructor (Codebreaker) from out of nowhere. Reeves pinned Carter and got the three count.
WINNER: Melissa Reeves by pinfall @ 4:25
Melissa Reeves is declared the winner as the referee raised her hand in victory. As Isla got to her feet, the two women stared each other down before Melissa offered her hand. Isla accepted and shook Melissas hand and gave her a nod before she exited the ring, leaving Reeves alone to celebrate her hard earned victory.
BACKSTAGE
The scene cut backstage to Carina Eventide walking into her locker room. A confused look crossed over her face as immediately smelt something off.
Carina Eventide: Why does it smell like Tacos?
Carina walked up to a painting she did that was sitting down on a table and its surrounded by tacos. But that wasnt the only thing, whatever she had painted was now drawn over by a giant taco and at the bottom of the canvas it says, By Brendan Callaghan. Carina looked annoyed as she grabbed her Anarchy Championship and threw it over her shoulder.
Carina Eventide: This was the work of Brendan Callaghan. If he thinks his art piece is going to be outdone by mine, then he better think again. I will paint the ring with his blood tonight.
An amused grin ran across Carinas face as she thought about fighting Brendan later in the night.
MATCH NINE: TOURNAMENT MATCH FOR THE GOTHAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Jacob Daniels vs. Ashleigh Powell
wrote:
Ashleigh and Jacob come face to face in the middle of the ring. Ashleigh pushes Jacob back away from her, she then follows up with a big right hook to the face of Jacob. He staggers back for a moment before turning back to Ashleigh and Jacob flashes a quick smile as they reset and they come back at each other and lock up. They go back and forth trying to get the advantage in the positioning, with Ashleigh finally pushing Jacob back into the corner. Ashleigh has her hands in Jacobs face and the referee steps in to try and separate the two of them.
Ashleigh lets go of Jacob and backs away without any further incident. She has her hands up in a defensive manner as she backs up into the center of the ring. Jacob comes out of the corner and is able to twist Powell's arm with an arm wrench. He then takes her back and it turns it into a hammerlock. Ashleigh throws a back elbow and then manages to hook Jacob around the head before throwing him over with a headlock takedown. She keeps hold of Jacobs head and has him under her control in the middle of the ring. Jacob starts working his way up to his feet but Ashleigh maintains the side headlock.
He tries to push her off but she still doesnt let go. Jacob then counters by lifting Ashleigh up and dropping her back with a back suplex. Ashleigh is finally forced to let go of Jacob as they both start to get up. Jacob starts blasting away at Ashleighs midsection with a series of kicks to both sides. He then spins around and catches her with a spinning back kick to the stomach and comes back around with a lifting knee to the face. Ashleigh falls back against the ropes and then bounces back towards Jacob. He lifts her up onto his shoulders and then drops her down with a Samoan drop. He covers Ashleigh and goes for the pin. Ashleigh easily kicks out at two and starts to sit up.
Jacob puts her into a rear chinlock and uses his knee to keep her in place. Ashleigh turns to start and get up. Jacob turns his chinlock into a sleeper hold as they both end up standing in the middle of the ring. She reaches up and hooks Jacob around the head before dropping down with a jawbreaker. Jacob bounces off the mat and falls back into the ropes. Ashleigh charges in with a running high knee. She then hooks him around the head and spikes him down into the middle of the ring with a bulldog takedown. When JD gets to his knees, Ashleigh takes him down with a shining wizard. Ash pins and gets a two count.
Ashleigh goes to pick JD up but he fights her off with elbow shots. Jacob then grabs Powell and drops her with a belly to belly suplex. Ashleigh rolls to the far corner as both struggle to get to their feet. They both get all the way back up to their feet and charge at each other, and Daniels takes control with a wicked clothesline. It turns her inside out as he manages to make the cover. He gets a two count but Ashleigh kicks out.
With Ashleigh still down on the mat, Daniels grabs her and locks in The Gallows (Rings of Saturn). Ashleigh struggles but refuses to tap out. She tries to reach her foot to the rope but has no luck. Jacob pulls the hold tighter and Ashleigh screams out but still doesnt let up. Suddenly, Alicia Lukas runs down the ramp and jumps up onto the apron. She begins to yell at Daniels who lets go of the hold and gets up. Alicia drops down from the apron and Ashleigh Powell rolls up JD from behind and picks up the three count as the surprised Daniels kicks out right after three.
WINNER: Ashleigh Powell by pinfall @ 17:27
Ashleigh Powells hand is raised in victory as Alicia Lukas hurriedly retreats to the backstage area and it takes little time for JD to roll out of the ring and do the same. It is announced that Ashleigh Powell is in the final four of the tournament for the Gotham Championship.
EARLIER TODAY
We open on the crackling of a fire, the camera zoomed in on the hot flames, darting up every which way, untamed. It lasts mere seconds, before the camera begins panning out, a single figure crouching above the fire, staring at it. Easily, you could see the reflection of the flames just by looking into Warren Corbett's eyes. For now, he appears to be alone, which is slightly strange considering he's always appeared with #TheSociety.
Warren Corbett: "Liberty Pro has been one interesting ride since it's opening. Becky has done us all proud by carrying the Liberty Pro Championship the way she has, being a defending champion, standing up for those who never had someone as the face of a company they can look too. The Anarchy Championship was in my grasp, and yes, I didn't manage to close my hands around it. I'm not going to let it ruin me though, Carina Eventide has it for now, and while it'll still be there in my mind, I've got bigger fish to fry tonight. Originally, #TheSociety weren't on the card...despite being the Liberty Pro Champion, and the runner-up in the Anarchy battle royal. As any respectable champion would, Becky FOUND us opponents, cross-promotional opponents at that. Bridging the gap between Liberty Pro and the other CWC promotions, where everyone else was to afraid to suggest such a thing."
A small motion of his head, and for the first time, he was looking back into the camera. His facial expression looked blank, but somehow more serious than we've seen him before.
Warren Corbett: "For anyone who said Becky isn't marketable as a champion, take notes. She was quicker to represent our company, faster than anyone else, against men who were quick to hate her for now apparent reason. I suppose we're used to that though, aren't we?"
A small shrug, as he turns back to the flames.
Warren Corbett: "The thing about #TheSociety is that we all may spread the same message, we all may believe in the same cause, but it comes from a different place for each of us. Different backgrounds, teaching the same lessons, telling a similar story, but with a whole new skill set. For instance, becky and I are two completely different people, different kind of wrestlers. That's what makes #TheSociety dangerous, where I may be lacking, Becky surely isn't, and vice versa. #TheSociety are each their own, and one complete machine, all in one."
In the dark behind him, movement was heard. The silence between his words made the snapping of twigs and stomping of the ground amplify into the microphone. Warren either didn't notice this, or took no notice, though it seemed with each passing second, the sounds became closer.
Warren Corbett: "But then you look at guys like Jay Gallagher and Donovan Keane - don't you see the same person? Walk down the streets of California and you'll find a million more just like Keane and Gallagher. What exactly is setting them apart from each other, or from anyone else in the magazines? The same pretty boy child, living it up in the land of greed, Hollywood Pro, each with their own modelesque girlfriend...or are they dating the same one? I'm not quite sure, they all seem to look the same to me. Neither of them have any sort of substance to their actions, to their words, neither of them have any sort of purpose than to smile for the camera. #TheSociety has been put down, and forced to play second fiddle to the likes of these guys our entire lives, and you think we'd allow such a thing as for them to waltz into Liberty Pro and do whatever the hell they want?"
From behind him, a figure dressed all in black came marching up to Warren with his head down. You could only tell it was a man because of his broad shoulders. Again, Warren paid no mind, as the man walked up behind him, and simply stood there. A moment later, another figure came from the darkness, this one having long brown hair coming from beneath a hat, her head still pointing towards, as well. As Warren spoke, more people came from the darkness, dressed all in black with their heads down, and stood behind Warren.
Warren Corbett: "They've probably been doing just that their entire lives, with no sort of consequence. I said they didn't know our strife, didn't know what we've been through, and instead of asking, instead of trying to understand, I get a juvenile response of 'WELL YOU DON'T KNOW OURS'. So I ask, and again, they respond just like a child would, with meaningless insults. How about when they tried to accuse US of being the ones to victimize and target people. Not only did I offer up examples of how that is completely wrong, but I invited him to tell me his side of the story. I asked young Jay why it is he thought that, when in reality, WE have been targeted in Liberty Pro ever since signing. Young Jay felt it necessary to sling insults again instead of giving me an answer, instead of opening up a dialogue. And why? Because he's wrong, Donovan is wrong, and deep down they know that. Deep down they know they can't beat #TheSociety. We already know, through twitter, that they've been saying anything they want without consequence, even if it makes no sense whatsoever, even if they have absolutely no proof to back up their words. Becky and I made both these boys look like fools at every turn, answering their questions with truth and honesty, though it's almost as if you're speaking to a wall. Superficial people tend to be that way, you can't really get through to them because all they can hear is the sound of their own names being repeated over and over again in their heads."
Corbett stood upon his feet, the people behind him now growing into a much larger crowd. Still, they hold their heads down, their identities unknown.
Warren Corbett: "For a second, I feel bad for them. They'll finally be introduced to the sort of treatment that our Followers have put up with for a lifetime. They won't know what to do with themselves. At least Becky and I are used to it, at least we've already lived it. We know how to fight back, how to stand up for ourselves, and that's something they probably didn't count on. They're used to throwing their hollywood money around, getting what they want on mere good looks, but Liberty Pro doesn't operate that way. If it did, one of our much better adversaries in Melissa Reeves....Zeke Reed...or Alicia Lukas...would be champion..."
Warren nodded, as each and every one of them raise their head, and unzipped their black jackets. Each is someone we've never seen before, or maybe you did, passing them on the street without thinking another word. Every member of the crowd reveals a #TheSociety t-shirt, handed to them by Becky Balfour herself when they answered her call on twitter.
Warren Corbett: "But they aren't. BECKY IS. Here in Libery Pro, #TheSociety reigns, and the broken, the ugly, the forgotten, can RISE above the rich, the powerful, and the beautiful. We are one, and tonight on Liberation 3, we're gonna stomp you back to Hollywod. We are #TheSociety."
Cut.
MATCH TEN: SPECIAL ATTRACTION TAG TEAM MATCH
The Society vs. Nightfall Rising
wrote:
It looked like a mob scene on the outside as Seth Lawless, Larclan, and The Followers literally surrounded all four sides of the ring as the bell rang. This last minute addition tag match was a long time in the making as Becky Balfour and Donovan Keane started off. The two had been waiting for this moment for months, as they were promised a match at DARC that never occurred due to the sudden closure of the company. Just before they could make contact, Becky took a step back with a grin on her face. Walking backwards, she reached her hand back and allowed Warren to slap her hand, tagging himself in. Donovan was irate, shouting at Balfour, but he was cut off as Corbett mowed him down with a shoulder block.
Becky began shouting instructions at Warren from the ring apron, which prompted the big man to scoop Keane up and drive him to the mat with a running powerslam. Balfour instructed Warren not to go for the pin, so instead, the Machine of #TheSociety stood and placed his right boot on the throat of Keane and began choking him. After counting to four, Corbett broke the hold. He jerked Keane up and pulled him to Becky, tagging her in and holding Keane up for her. As Becky entered the ring, she hit an embarrassing slap, made to look harder than it was as Corbett shoved Keane to the ground after it. Becky went for a pin and scored a two count.
Balfour dropped to her knees and outstretched her arms, shouting FOLLOW US! right at the head of Donovan. Donovan rolled to his stomach and quickly leaned forward, connecting with a punch to Beckys face that knocked the blonde back, rocking her. The fans went crazy as the Liberty champion appeared to be in trouble. Donovan looked down at Becky and knew after months, he was FINALLY getting the moment he had waited for. He grabbed a handful of her blonde hair and pulled her to her feet, but Becky wasnt having it. The Liberty champion spit in Keanes face, which turned out to be a mistake as Keane kicked her in the stomach and then dropped her with a ddt. Keane, instead of going for a cover, tagged in Jay Gallagher. Gallagher quickly entered the ring and as Balfour stood up, the pair hit a double clothesline on her.
The chemistry and timing of Gallagher and Keane was evident as they remained in control of the Liberty champion. A few slams, a few quick tags, and some double team moves kept Becky at their mercy. Gallagher picked Becky up and moved towards his own corner again, tagging in Donovan Keane. Keane re-entered the ring and the pair hit a double suplex on Balfour. Keane went for a cover, and surprisingly, Becky was able to kick out at two.
Still in control, Donovan waited as Becky stood to her feet, stumbling around. He stalked behind her and locked in a sleeperhold. Becky stumbled around the ring, but eventually collapsed slowly. The referee raised her hand twice and it dropped. As he raised her hand a third time, Seth Lawless reached under the bottom rope and grabbed Beckys foot, placing it on the bottom rope. The ref dropped her hand again, and as it fell for a third time, Seth pointed to her foot on the rope. The referee told Donovan to break the hold as the fans booed the dirty tactic by #TheSociety.
Donovan stood up, backing away from Becky, but didnt realize he backed right into the Society corner. Warren clubbed Donovan in the back of the head, knocking him down, giving Becky time to crawl over make the tag. In came the fresh Warren Corbett. Corbett picked up Keane and hit a running backbreaker that shushed the crowd, sensing that Donovan was running out of fight.
Corbett picked Keane up and looked around the building at the fans. He lifted Keane from the ground and hit The Dane Axe (spinning high-impact spinebuster), knocking Keane out cold. Becky then began shouting that she wanted the tag. Corbett walked over and tagged the vocal member of #TheSociety in. As Becky entered, she aggressively picked Keane up from the mat. She screamed in his ear and hit the Hear Me Out (Reverse DDT). Warren stood between Jay Gallagher and the pin, as Becky picked up the three count, finally pinning her rival, Donovan Keane.
WINNERS: Becky Balfour & Warren Corbett #TheSociety by pinfall @ 19:00
As soon as the bell rang, The Followers along with Lawless and Larclan flooded the ring, filling it up instantly. Jay Gallagher attempted to enter the ring to save his partner, but he couldnt get past the wall of humanity in the ring. The Followers proceeded to lift Donovan Keane up, crowd surfing him before tossing him over the top rope to the floor, discarding of him without care.
Suddenly, a shrieking, haunting voice rang out throughout the venue.
Becky Balfour: Is that what you wanted to see?
The fans showered her and #TheSociety with boos. Still unable to see her due to everyone in the ring, they continue to hear her.
Becky Balfour: Two more of your beloved, fallen at our feet. Failing to deliver on the words that they promised. Letting you down...again.
Becky barked into the microphone for the followers to exit the ring, which they did, leaving only Balfour, Lawless, Corbett and Larclan in the ring.
Becky Balfour: Seth was overlooked, excluded from a championship tournament tonight. This is a former champion, someone who has given his life to entertain YOU...you leeches. You suck the life out of us, and demand demand demand, but when its time to support us, you fail...just like your beloved heroes.
Balfour looked to her left at Corbett and Larclan, before turning towards her fiance, Seth Lawless.
Becky Balfour: Seth will get his opportunity, we will make sure of it. He will earn it, unlike the two people that I inevitably have to defend my Liberty championship against.
Balfour looks to her Followers on the outside of the ring.
Becky Balfour: Give me my fucking belt.
The Liberty championship is passed through the hands of numerous followers before it is eventually tossed into the ring, over the top rope, falling at Seths feet. Lawless picks it up and stares at it, smiling before handing it to his fiancee.
Becky holds the championship up for the camera to get a close look at it.
Becky Balfour: Melissa Reeves, Zeke Reed...you both want this. You both guaranteed you would leave with it at our inaugural event, but what happened? Like Keane, Gallagher, and Powell...you failed. What makes our next match any different? Your greed, your selfishness, your lack of courage...all of it will be your downfall.
Becky looked around her.
Becky Balfour: And the fans? You...leeches. You have a chance to turn your lives around. Youre lost. Wandering around, following heroes that could care less if you even wake up tomorrow, but me...we? We will look out for you. You can join us...you can become Followers, and you...can share in on OUR successes.
Becky looked up towards the roof as business style cards began falling like confetti into the arena. A camera picked up a close-up of one of the black index cards with a white hashtag reading #TheSociety on it.
Becky Balfour: If you have one of these, or a t-shirt, you are one of us. Approach us. Come to us for help, we wont fail you. We wont become your weakened heroes. We will lead you
Balfour dropped the microphone as Down With The Fallen by Starset began playing as the group exited the ring, making their way towards the backstage area after what was a chaotic match.
BACKSTAGE
The scene cut backstage to Cass Baumer running up to Brendan Callaghan, who was prepping for his Anarchy Championship match with Carina Eventide and he has paint brushes sticking out of his pockets.
Cass Baumer: Brendan! Did you really draw a taco over Carinas painting earlier?
Brendan smirked and shook his head.
Brendan Callaghan: Of course it wasnt me! Just because I love tacos doesnt mean I would pull off a taco crime like that!
Cass eyes moved down to the paint brushes in Brendans pockets then up to his eyes and he notices. Brendan grabs the paint brushes out of his pockets and looked shocked.
Brendan Callaghan: Ughh.. How do those get there!?
Brendan tossed the paint brushes to the side and whistled innocently.
Cass Baumer: I think theres only one explanation to all of this
Brendans brow furrowed.
Brendan Callaghan: Well You would know! Youre the investigative reporter!
Cass Baumer: Exactly! Which is why I think you were set up!
Brendan Callaghan: YES!! I was! I was totally set up! Oh my God, Cass, youre a genius!
Brendan held his hand out for a high five and Cass high fived him in return .
Cass Baumer: Anyway, this case is open still but I can confirm youre innocent. Good luck in your match tonight!
Brendan Callaghan: Thanks! Heres a taco!
Brendan pulled a taco out from his other pocket and handed it to Cass before walking off. Cass looked at the taco in confusion and smelled it before she shrugged and took a bite.
HEADLINE: SINGLES MATCH
Zeke Reed vs. Felix Vialpando
wrote:
The two competitors rush towards each other at full speed and Felix goes for a clothesline but Zeke is able to duck under it and he bounces off of the ropes. As Felix turns around, he is met by a flying dropkick to his chest from Zeke that sends him flying to the mat. Felix gets back up quickly and he charges at Zeke who then drops him with a drop toe hold. Felix gets back up to his feet and charges at Zeke a second time. Felix is able to get the upper hand and he whips Zeke into the ropes. Reed comes back and he slides right through Felixs legs on the return and lands a dropkick that sends Vialpando bouncing chest first into the turnbuckle.
On the rebound, Zeke sneaks across Felix and climbs to the top rope, possibly going for a flying knee strike, but Felix turns around and quickly tosses himself into the ropes, upsetting Zekes balance. Felix steps away as Zeke attempts to keep himself on the top rope, but in a matter of moments, Felix runs up the turnbuckle and grabs a hold of Zeke and nails a quick superplex on him. Felix then goes for the cover and gets a two count before Zeke powers out of the pin. The two men get to their feet and Felix is met by an enziguri kick from Zeke which causes Felix to tumble to the mat. Reed pulls Felix up to his feet and Zeke tries to nail a left punch but Felix counters and knees Zeke in the gut.
Felix immediately sets up for an exploder suplex, but Zeke hooked the leg in order to stay in position. Reed landed elbow after elbow before finally breaking free from Felixs grip. Zeke grabbed Felix by the head, and, using all of his momentum, connected with a sitout jawbreaker that sends the challenger stumbling back a few feet. Reed seizes the moment and charges with a shoulder block, which was all that Zeke needed to get Felix down onto the mat. Zeke then bounces off of the ropes and throws himself into the air, going for a running shooting star press but Felix got his knees up just in time and Zeke is left clutching his gut as he rolls around the mat.
Felix pulls Zeke up by the shirt and synched in a headlock before wrapping his arms around Zekes chest and nailing a perfectly executed German suplex. Zeke clutches his back before Vialpando then lands a few hard stomps right to the back of Reed before picking him up and connecting with a hard backbreaker. Felix then goes for the cover after the backbreaker and gets a two count before Reed kicks out. Felix wastes absolutely no time in going back to work. He has Reed set up for another suplex, but once he lifts the number one contender up, Zeke lands back on his feet! He then hits a hard kick right to Felixs leg and sends the Vialpando down to his knees. Zeke then hits a modified Silence is Golden on Felix, taking him down from his knees. Reed goes for the cover but Felix kicks out after two.
Zeke rolls off of Felix quickly, and the two men are both up and they start swinging at each other with all they have. Neither of them are able to gain an edge so they both go their separate ways, bouncing off of the ropes. Felix goes to toss Zeke over his head, but Zeke connects with a fallout dropkick to the crowds delight. Zeke goes for the cover and once again, Vialpando kicks out. Zeke rolls off of Felix and tries to catch his breath. He then gets to his feet and lines Vialpando up, looking to go for American History X. As Felix gets to his knees, Zeke charges but as Zeke leaps in the air to hit his curb stomp, Vialpando pops out of the way before grabbing Zeke and hitting him with the Falcon Call (Omega Driver). Vialpando goes for the pin but Reed gets his foot on the ropes and the fans go nuts as the referee calls off the three count.
Felix celebrates the victory but doesnt realize the three count was called off. The referee tells Felix that the count was called off and he is in disbelief. Vialpando shouts at the referee and gets in his face. This gives Reed the chance to get to his feet. Zeke grabs the unsuspecting Felix and lifts him in the air before dropping him with Shot The Devil Dead (Vertical suplex stunner). Reed covers Vialpando and the referee counts to three, giving Zeke the victory.
WINNER: Zeke Reed by pinfall @ 20:24
Zekes hand is raised in victory as his music plays. Felix gets up and Zeke gives him a nod but Felix rolls his eyes before rolling out of the ring, looking completely frustrated. Zeke raises his hands in victory one more time before the scene cuts away.
BACKSTAGE
The scene cut backstage to Nathan Callaghan sitting behind his desk in his office. He tapped his fingers on the desk before he leaned forward and began to speak.
Nathan Callaghan: Liberty Pro is meant to be the land of opportunity. And I think that Becky Balfour needs to prove to the world that she is a fighting champion. So next week, Becky will defend her championship against an opponent of my choosing.
Nathan paused and nodded to let that sink in before he continued.
Nathan Callaghan: But heres the catch. There will be no Society allowed at ringside. No Seth, no Warren, no Larclan and most definitely no followers. Becky will need to prove that she can hold onto her championship on her own. Can she survive? Well see next week. As for her opponent?
Nathan shrugged.
Nathan Callaghan: Ill announce it when I feel like it. I like keeping you guessing.
Nathan sat back in his chair and kicked his feet up onto the table before smirking.
Nathan Callaghan: Enjoy.
The scene faded out.
MAIN EVENT: TABLES MATCH FOR THE ANARCHY CHAMPIONSHIP
Brendan Callaghan vs. Carina Eventide
wrote:
The match between Carina and Brendan started with the two circling around each other. The moment Carina moved towards Brendan, he slid out of the ring. Carina wasted no time as she sprinted towards the ropes and leaped over them, hitting Brendan with a plancha. Carina then went under the ring and pulled out a chair. She smacked Brendan over the back with it as he tried to get up. Carina then pulled a table from under the ring. Carina began to set the table up and this gave Brendan time to get up. Carina finished setting up the table and when she turned around, she was met by a big boot from the the eldest Callaghan.
Brendan picked Carina up and set her down onto the table before he got up onto the apron and climbed up the turnbuckle. Carina rolled off the table, sensing Brendan up on the top rope but he leaped off anyway and caught her with a diving clothesline. Brendan picked Carina up and set her up for a powerbomb. Brendan lifted her up and Carina countered it into a thunderous DDT. The two lay down on the outside before Carina got up first. She picked up Brendan and he began to counter her by throwing elbow shots into her gut but Carina came back and hit him with an enziguiri. Brendan dropped to his knees and Carina hit him with a hurricanrana driver.
The fight between Carina and Brendan had moved closer to the announcer table so Carina began to dismantle the top to use it against Brendan. When Carina bent down to pick up Brendan, he thumbed her in the eye. Brendan got to his feet and grabbed one of the monitors from the announcer table and slammed it into Carinas head, knocking her back and out, sending her lying down onto the announcer table. Before Brendan could do anything else, a mysterious man in a black leather jacket, black jeans and with a black ski mask on jumped over the barricade with a barbed wire bat in his hand and the fans began to go nuts.
Brendan turned to see what the commotion was and the man cracked Brendan in the skull with the barbed wire bat. Brendan dropped to the ground and immediately started to bleed from his his forehead. The masked man then hit Brendan in the ribs and midsection several times with the bat before he pulled Carina off of the table and picked Brendan up and laid him down on it. The man walked away up the entrance way and then stood at the top and watched as Carina got to her feet. Carina looked up and saw the masked man and looked at him in confusion before she shrugged.
Carina then climbed up onto the apron and then made her way up the turnbuckle. She looked down at Brendan before taking a deep breath and leaping off, nailing Brendan with a frog splash that sent him crashing through the table. The bell rang and Carina Eventide was declared the winner.
WINNER: Carina Eventide @ 13:24
Carina is handed her Anarchy Championship and the referee raises her hand in victory. She looked up at the entrance way again and the masked man clapped his hands before walking backstage. Carina shrugged and continued to celebrate her victory before the show went off the air.
