LIBERTY PRO WRESTLING PRESENTS... LIBERATION: EPISODE EIGHT
LIVE ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14TH, 2017 FROM THE MOHEGAN SUN ARENA IN UNCASVILLE, CONNECTICUT

BACKSTAGE
Backstage Wren Sweet has arrived at the arena, as she heads down the hallway, Cass Baumer stops her by standing dead in front of her.
Cass Baumer: Wren, do you have a moment to answer a few questions?
Wren goes to step around her but Cass moves in the same direction. Wren rears back for a moment and stares into Cass eyes.
Cass Baumer: I am taking that as a yes.
Before Cass can ask Wren any questions she slips into the locker room just behind Cass, slamming the door in Cass face.
PREVIOUSLY RECORDED
*The scene opens, and noise are heard as the camera moves around a corner showing a gym with various types of pristine exercise machines. The camera continues to move around the machines, where he finds Vítor Mata, shirtless with exercise shorts and galaxy colored Nike
exercise shoes working on a punching bag using MMA gloves. He use several types of strikes: knees, kicks, jabs, and of course his weapon of choice his elbows. His attention is soon captured by the cameraman seeking it.*
This must be about my match in Liberty.
*The cameraman nods accordingly, as which point Vítor begins taking off the gloves.*
I hate stupidity, but I can't deny how powerful it really is.
*Vítor finishes taking his glove and tosses them under the punching bag. With the camera following he starts to walk till he reaches a wooden table with a water bottle on it, he picks up the bottle, drinks some, and pours some on his face and a little down the nape of his neck*
The saying ignorance is bliss exists for a reason, because when you're ignorant and uninformed, you think you're untouchable. Last week for example. Warren Corbett, attacked me last week and assume that nothing is going happen, as a matter of fact. The whole of The Society has screwed me over more times than I can count, and they just assume that nothing is going to happen. That is bliss. Now there's two more people that fall under this category of unfortunate souls. Élodie and Havyn Black. From the twitter exchanges alone I can tell that they are even worse.
*Vítors face is a face with the look of disgust, and he looks down and nods his head no*
And by worse, I'm mean the ineptitude of this two women is dumbfounding. Èlodie in particular. I could go on and on and on about how she's wrong, but she'll accept that she's wrong because as I've been saying ignorance is bliss. That's enough about that section of The Society. Larclan, the craziest one of the bunch. That insanity is good for use against the inexperienced. It overwhelms them, but I am not inexperienced. I'm quite the opposite, I'm the guy who can use your greatest strength against you. And because of your lack of intelligence, I know you won't be able to switch up your plan of attack or lack thereof. Meanwhile your support, Richard Lightning, really isn't going to help you. His weakness are countless. That's why he attacked my partner tonight weeks ago. Not because they weren't getting it done, no. Richard, you dump your former partner, Romeo Black, because you realize he's better than you. You got jealous of his ability.
*Vítor smiles, and take another drink, and speaks in credence towards Romeo Black*
Romeo help me, help you. We're both fantastic professional wrestlers. The men who will stand across the ring for us aren't. I know our styles will complement each other. A loss is simply out of the question. It isn't going to happen. If the both of us are on the same page I guarantee a victory.
*The camera feed fades to black and the phrase Vitória para mim, Vitória para Portugal. before the video officially ends*
PRESHOW MATCH: TAG TEAM MATCH
Vitor Mata & Romeo Black vs. Larclan & Dick Lightning
wrote:
Romeo started off the match, anticipating Dick to start it off with him but Dick retreated to his corner and tagged in Larclan. Romeo had his way with Larclan, not letting up. Romeo eventually dropped Larclan with his Blackout finisher. Romeo then laid Larclan down in front of Dick but Dick simply rolled his eyes and dropped off the apron and began to walk up the ramp. Romeo shook his head before he went and tagged in Vitor. Romeo then sprinted up the ramp towards Dick but Dick turns and runs to the back, leaving just Vitor and Larclan. Vitor quickly puts Larclan in the Mata Lock and it doesnt take long for Larclan to tap out.
WINNER: Vitor Mata by Submission @ 4:34
The bell is rung and Vitor keeps the hold in, trying to prove a point to #TheSociety. Eventually Vitor finally lets go and he spits on Larclan.
BACKSTAGE
Backstage, Cass is shown knocking on Wrens locker room door to no response, after a moment Cass knocks again a little harder this time.
Cass Baumer: WREN! I know youre in there Come on, Nathan said we have to do an interview.
Cass hammers on the door again, after several long moments, the door finally opens and her agent Killian Archer steps out with a smile.
Killian Archer: Wren isnt available at the moment.
Cass Baumer: You said that last week!
Killian Archer: And Im saying it again tonight, goodbye Cass.
BACKSTAGE
The scene opens to a shot of a locker room door left ajar. The camera tilts down to reveal a man sprawled on the ground, moaning in terrible agony. Its none other than Brendan Callaghan, his hand covering his forehead which seems to be wounded as something blood-red drips to the floor. The shot widens to reveal a dented chair on the floor next to him. Voices can be heard as a pair of paramedics come rushing into the shot to attend to Brendan, forcing the camera to back up to give space. The scene fades out.
MATCH ONE: TABLES MATCH FOR THE ANARCHY CHAMPIONSHIP
Warren Corbett vs. Joey Barber

wrote:
As the highly anticipated match for the Anarchy Championship begins, Warren Corbett comes right out of the gate as soon as the bell rings and knocks "The Infamous" Joey Barber down with a hellacious clothesline with all his might! Joey bounces back to his feet using the ropes for leverage only to receive a second clothesline that sends the two tumbling over the top rope and to the outside with a loud uncomfortable thud. Both of the competitors land awkwardly at ringside and as The Anarchy Champion makes his way to his feet, he shouts at the crowd to invite the crowd to boo louder at The Society henchman. Reaching underneath the ring, the champion retrieves a black steel chair and tosses it into the ring. Searching under the ring skirt again, Warren plucks out a second black steel chair and smacks Joey right between the shoulder blades with force! Over and over and over again, the man representing The Society wails on Joey Barber with no remorse and a mean streak written all over his face.
Rolling into the ring, Corbett sets up the unused chair previously tossed into the ring in a seating position and grips the same chair used to tenderize his opponent between his two fists around the legs. Brandishing a steel chair and sitting in a second steel chair in the middle of the ring, Warren shouts at "The Infamous" Joey Barber to get back to his feet and give him a challenge as the crowd tries to encourage Joey to do the same. Slowly making his way back to his feet, Joey smartly climbs the apron and steps over the second rope to the roar of the crowd, his eyes firmly planted on the champion, avoiding another chair shot at all costs. Just as suddenly as Barber made his way into the ring, Warren expectantly ran at him with the steel chair in hand but before the Anarchy Champion was ready to give Joey Barber a bad case of déjà vu, Joey found the strength to grab the chair out of Warren's hands and began to wail on his aggressor while the crowd triumphantly cheered as The Society member fell to his knees! Just before Joey was ready to put the final nail in the coffin with one last powerful shot to the head of his opponent, Warren Corbett grabbed the chair set up in a seated position behind him and blocked it! The clang of the steel meeting steel was so loud that it felt like people could hear it in the nosebleed section and as the two were entrenched in a battle of strength Warren fighting his way back to his feet from his knees and Joey using his own chair to keep his opponent on the ground Corbett suddenly cut the evenly matched competition of power to an end with a kick that sent Joey backwards! The mangled chairs finally separated and the Anarchy Champion used the chair one more time to knock the challenger to the ground.
As Warren went to pick the lifeless Joey up, Vitor Mata runs down the ramp and he rolls underneath the bottom rope, grabs one of the discarded mangled chairs in the ring, and slaps The Society member with the warped steel to break up the pin! Joey slowly climbs out from underneath the larger man and watches as The Pride of Portugal leaves the ring to grab a table. In a flurry of excitement as the crowd cheers loudly in agreement, Vitor Mata sets up the table by leaning it against the corner and as Joey Barber watches seated near the ropes for leverage, Vitor begins to pick up the massive Warren Corbett near the corner where the table is perched. Out of it from the heavy action beforehand, Warren is about to get hit by Vitor Mata's patented Pantera Negra elbow into the table but before The Society member can lose his Anarchy Championship, one of the newest members of The Society Élodie makes her way into the chaotic match and hits The Pride of Portugal with a large steel staff wrapped in cloth!
Picking Warren back up to his feet, Élodie sets her sights on the bloody Joey Barber still seated near the ropes for leverage and as his eyes open wide, Élodie yanks him back to his feet as well and holds him against the table perched in the corner! As Warren comes to his sentences and sees Joey's predicament, the Anarchy Champion wastes no time hitting a running signature The Dane Axe spinning spinebuster to send Joey Barber through the table!
Winner and Still Anarchy Champion: Warren Corbett by pinfall @ 19:21
The crowd boos loudly as the two members of The Society stand in the middle of the ring, proudly celebrating their accomplishment as Warren gestures to a Liberty Pro official to hand him his rightfully earned Anarchy Championship but before the official can hand it to him, Vitor Mata having gained consciousness and rolling out of the ring grabs the Anarchy Championship he nearly won in the triple threat ladder match weeks ago and runs back in the ring with full speed with his fiery eyes concentrated on Warren Corbett himself!
Élodie loyally steps in front of Vitor's path and gets wailed in the face with the Anarchy Championship so hard that The Pride of Portugal dropped the title to the mat! Becky Balfour, Seth Lawless and Havyn Black the rest of The Society make their way to the ring and Vitor narrowly escapes the ring and leaves through the crowd!
As the four prop Élodie back to her feet, blood trickling down her face, Becky glances at the large steel pole used by Élodie earlier in the night. Uncurling the cloth, Becky reveals The Society flag and as the five defiantly stand in the middle of the ring to massive boos with their flag in the background, Becky and Warren hold their championships with pride for the camera.
BACKSTAGE
Cameras cut to catering where Wren Sweet is making up a plate, she has her earbuds in and is making a point to ignore everyone else in the room. She doesnt hear Cass come up behind her, but feeling a presence she turns around.
Cass Baumer: Wren! Finally.
Wren turns back to the catering table, mostly ignoring Cass who leans in close to her.
Cass Baumer: Just a couple of quick que-
Before Cass can finish her sentence, Wren turns and shoves a sandwich into the mouth of Cass, smiling Wren then walks off.
MATCH TWO: SINGLES MATCH
Jacob Daniels vs. Isla Carter
wrote:
The bell sounds and Jacob Daniels is on the attack instantly. He rushes Isla Carter into the corner and rams his shoulder into her midsection repeatedly. Daniels grabs Carter by her neck and throws her into the center of the ring. She rolls up to her feet, stunned, but instincts kick in as she tries for a clothesline on Jacob, but Islas attack doesnt even move him. He laughs right in her face and shoves her back before motioning for her to try again. Carter does so with a dropkick, but again, Daniels stands his ground.
After that, all bets are off as Daniels pulls Carter in with a suplex and hits a senton. The fans try to rally behind Isla, but Jacob is just too aggressive; throwing Carter around with a series of suplexes and tosses. A hard elbow stuns her for a chokeslam backbreaker! Instead of going for a pin, Jacob goes to pick Isla back up and she tries to fight back, but its no use once Daniels places her on the top rope. Climbing up a bit and wrapping his hands around Carters neck, Daniels takes off with his The Stir of Echoes (Top Rope-hung Cutter). He drags her away from the ropes before hooking the legs for an easy three count.
WINNER: Jacob Daniels by pinfall @ 3:34
The match is over but Jacob decides to drag Isla out of the ring. He brings her over to the announcers table before he starts to clear it off. Jacob glares into the camera and yells out for Ashleigh Powell to watch whats to come because its her future. JD then lifts Isla up and powerbombs her through the table with authority. Backstage personnel come running down to check on Isla and to pull JD away from her. JD laughs as he looks on at the destruction that he caused.
BACKSTAGE
Wren is standing just the other side of the curtain, her match is up next and shes stretching out, in her ring gear and her hands taped up. Leaning back into her leg shes warming up her muscles when Cass approaches her.
Wren Sweet: No comment.
Cass Baumer: I didnt ask you anything yet.
Wren stands up straight and smiles as Cass, her eyes locked on Cass as her smile is more of an angry smirk.
Wren Sweet: No. Comment.
Cass Baumer: You cant avoid an interview forever, like it or not youre not allowed to put your hands on me and
Before Cass can finish; Wren accidentally bumps Cass as she passes her. Knocking her against the wall Wren chuckles slightly and as she heads towards the curtain, shouting out behind her.
Wren Sweet: NO COMMENT.
BACKSTAGE
Emily Jackson: Avery Smith and I well we have grown a lot as a team. Last week was HUGE for us. We took on the team of Seth Lawless and Scarlett Highland and we won.
Emily Jackson spun on her heels and faced the camera now. She smiled wide and nodded her head.
Emily Jackson: Granted, it wasnt the way we really wanted to win seeing as Seth took out his partner and allowed us to win. We kind of wanted to earn the win but yet winning that match even if it was in strange circumstances still put us on the map. Seeing as Seth is part of the best group here in Liberty Pro and Scarlett is a huge name here. Yes, it might not have really been a win for us but we will take it. We know that people are now talking about her and I. We know that if we keep on working like we have been we will get a shot sometime down the line at the tag team titles here in Liberty. That is what we want in all reality.
She smiled again as she started to walk down the hall a bit.
Emily Jackson: Tonight, we are in a different match. A match that Scarlett got to make because of what happened. Now Avery and I get to face a very pissed off Seth Lawless. But lucky for us it is both of us at the same time against him. I watched Seth in the first show when he beat Avery, so she knows how good he is. I fought him last week and I saw firsthand and I saw how good he is. Then like I said we are facing him when he is pissed off when he is ready to take out anyone that gets in his way of Scarlett.
She closes her eyes as she stopped and grabbed a bottle of water. She slowly took a drink and sat it back down. She cracked her knuckles.
Emily Jackson: We know that the odds are in our favor tonight. We know that we need to be on top of our game at the same time though because if we arent Seth is going to take us out. But if Avery and I become the SnapBack Queens like we said we are then we will win this match. We need to stand tall and we need to fight and not back down. Seth, is going to have to be on top of his game to beat us. Plus, we all know that he has payback on his mind against Scarlett so we can surprise him. Plus, it would look good if we took out the Lawless One twice in two weeks.
She smiles as she grabs her water and walks off.
MATCH THREE: HANDICAPPED MATCH WITH SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE
Wren Sweet vs. Cami McGatha & Colt Brady W/Finn Brady as Special Guest Referee
wrote:
Cami McGatha and Colt Brady are already in the ring with guest official Finn Brady. The three seem to be sharing a conversation when Wren Sweet walks out, her music isnt playing and she totally ignores the fans. Sliding into the ring she gets up in the face of Colt, she mutters something to him before backing off. Colt looks a little confused at what she said to him, shaking his head he goes to talk to her but Wren yells at Finn to start the match.
As soon as the bell rings, Wren slides out of the ring and stands on the outside, Cami goes to slide out after her but Colt stops her and shakes his head. After a moment Finn slides out instead and tells Wren to get back in the ring, she refuses to do so and demands he starts the count. Finn gets back into the ring and starts the ten count; as he makes the count Wren starts to back up the ramp, headed backstage.
Just as Finn reaches ten, Wren disappears behind the curtain leaving Cami and the Brady Bros very confused inside the ring.
WINNERS: Cami McGatha & Colt Brady by countout @ 00:10
BACKSTAGE
As the camera switched to the backstage area, Cass Baumer smirks to the camera as she holds the microphone firmly with her left hand while her right hand remains in a cast. As she notices the camera is recording her, she nods proudly and begins to speak in that obnoxious kiwi accent that shes become known for while she sits next to her guest for the evening.
Cass Baumer: Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Cass Baumer the official Liberty Pro interviewer who just recently got a raise from Mr. Callaghan but you already knew that! Today Im here with a man who represents #TheSociety The one The only Seth Lawless!
Seth Lawless is sitting across from Cass. He is wearing a cut off t-shirt and jeans. He looks at her as she speaks and shakes his head.
Seth Lawless: Really, Nathan gave you a raise? While I go out to that ring and beat everyone and I dont get anything.
He scoffs a bit while Cass just grins.
Seth Lawless: Anyways, Cass lets get this over with. Like I told you, you can ask anything and I will answer it.
Cass Baumer: And like I told you, I promise to be the pinnacle of professionalism today.
Seth Lawless: Good that is all I ask Cass. Plus I know with this interview people will actually see that I am much more than Beckys lackey, because that is all I hear.
Cass Baumer: And that leads me to the first question
Without holding back an ounce, the interview known as The Headliner starts with the interview.
Cass Baumer: Why did Becky tweet that she won her match last week, quote unquote... without help when you clearly helped her win the match? Why do you believe she wont give you the recognition you deserve?
Seth takes a deep breath.
Seth Lawless: See, Cass that is the problem with a lot of you. You pick little things that Becky or I say and you twist them to fit your narrative. Everyone tries to make The Society look bad and i understand that but Id think it would get old after awhile. Now, I guess maybe I should answer that question. What Becky was saying is that she didnt need me to take out Lukas. She did it all on her own. Now maybe I put her foot on the rope and all of that but she still beat Lukas on her own.
She tilted her head slightly in response.
Cass Baumer: I suppose the audience can make of that as they will and I should move on to the next question... On a less serious note, do you believe The Society should be spelled as two seperate words or would you rather people address your faction with a hashtag #TheSociety?
Seth Lawless: Kind of an odd question. But to me it doesnt matter how it is spelled. Doesnt matter to me if it is a hashtag or not. The thing is Cass as long as people are talking about us then it is a good thing. We are on top of Liberty Pro and we are going to stay that way.
She nodded in agreement.
Cass Baumer: Fair enough, fair enough Now How do you feel about the Liberty Pro landscape right now? The Society hit the ground running in the fairly new promotion and now you guys hold two of the championships, pretty dominantly I might add. Whats there left to do now, you figure? You want to stand as the light to the people who were forgotten and abandoned but youve done pretty well for yourselves so far, yeah?
Seth nods his head liking the question put in front of him.
Seth Lawless: The first night of Liberty Pro we stood tall. We told every single person that is what we would do and no one listened. Now, we are still there Warren has a title and Becky is taking everyone on and she is beating everyone. So yes we are doing pretty damn well as for what we want to do next there is always those CWC Trio Titles, how good would those look around our waists?
Cass Baumer: I listened. I just didnt believe you guys.
Cass admitted flippantly, just wanting to see his response.
Seth Lawless: Yeah okay, but now you better believe us yet you throw around false reports.
Seth shakes his head.
Seth Lawless: Sorry Ill be nice. Anyways, continue.
The interviewer rolled her eyes.
Cass Baumer: So its the CWC Trio Championships youre after? Thats a big goal.
Seth Lawless: Yeah, it is. But like I have said before we have told you what we want and it has come true. Saying we want the CWC Trio Championships is another goal for us. Also it is one that we are determined to get and no one is going to stop us.
Cass Baumer: While they might not be the current trios champions right now, Id pay to see The Filth Parade versus The Society, to be honest. I might be biased as hell but do you really think you and the rest of The Society can beat a team like them?
Seth laughs a bit as he puts his hands together.
Seth Lawless: Why wouldnt we think that we could beat a team like that? In this business once you think you have lost you are sunk. Of course we are going to walk into every single match that we are going to win. Otherwise why would we do this?
Cass Baumer: True, true. Thats undeniable, so thats definitely confirmed. Confidence is everything in this sport and you three got no shortage of that, at least.
She thought for a moment before moving on.
Cass Baumer: Heading back a little bit, with all this newfound confidence youve found since losing the anarchy championship back in #FSociety Does it sting that your two stablemates hold gold and you have yet to find your own time in the sun? To put it another way Are you bitter? Is that why you want the trio championships so bad? To coattail the two of your more successful partners?
Seth ponders for a second and then takes a deep breath.
Seth Lawless: Ill be honest for a second. Yeah it does sting that I dont have a title and maybe there is a little bit of jealousy attached to that. But honestly it starts from the top as well. Nathan didnt put me in the Gotham Title tournament, one that I should have been a part of. Second the only title match I had was in the battle royal. So you see there is always that factor that I havent been given a shot at a title. Because we all know when I do indeed get that shot I am walking out as a champion.
Cass Baumer: To be honest, the honesty is refreshing. The way I figure it, its alright to be jealous sometimes. Gets a negative stigma but if it drives you forward, who the fuck cares what anyone else thinks, yeah?
He nods his head.
Seth Lawless: Of course it drives me forward. Everyone saw what I could do in FSocitey and it was awesome being there. I was on fire in my time there until I hit a brick wall in Ally Gregory. Also in that instance I was not in the right frame of mind, a lot of things happened on a personal level that I dont wish to get into. I have grown from that and Im getting my footing back now.
Cass smiled as Seth mentioned that he was getting his life back together, a small ounce of honesty shining through her tough exterior.
Cass Baumer: So are you challenging Ashleigh Powell to a match for the Gotham Championship right now? Is thats whats going on?
Seth shrugs his shoulders.
Seth Lawless: I guess you can think whatever you want on that question. I will not expand on that.
Cass Baumer: Im sure Nathan Callaghans watching right now. So if you have a message for him and the rest of Liberty Pro Well, It looks like nows the time to do it, yeah?
Seth Lawless: Just know that after I am done with this match against Emily Jackson and Avery Smith I am going to go after Scarlett Highland and I will finish whatever hatred we have towards each other. Then I will go after whatever title I want and I will win it. Seth Lawless isnt going to lay around anymore. He is going to leave victims in his wake and it starts tonight.
Cass Baumer: Good luck out there. Oh, and before you go I just got one more question.
With a pause, she thinks over what question she should finish the interview with.
Cass Baumer: Do you think that once you become a champion here in Liberty Pro Cause, fuck, its just a matter of time now, right? Do you think Becky will finally treat you with the respect you deserve and finally give you recognition for the accomplishment or do you figure shes always gonna treat you like her lap dog?
Seth Lawless: Thanks Cass, and really? I thought that this was a good interview until you asked that.
Cass Baumer: I said you deserved the recognition! I said youd become a champion! It was a compliment. I was just trying to ask the question thats been on everybodys lips on a while now but I guess no one else had the balls to ask, thats all.
Seth scowled in her direction.
Seth Lawless: See I am not the lap dog of Becky and I proved that when I beat her fair and square in that ring. I should have shut people up with that but no they still talk. I guess it is whatever. I am sick of answering that question.
He takes a deep breath.
Seth Lawless: But it is fine. Like I have said, people can think whatever they want. I know what Becky and I have and that is all that matters. Also the fact that no one in Liberty has been able to stop us, so quite simply we are the best part of Liberty and I cannot wait for someone to try and prove us wrong.
Seth smirks.
Cass Baumer: And with that, I suppose thats all the time we have for today! Ive been The Headliner Cass Banner, hes been Seth Lawless of The Society, and youve been my loyal anonymous sources! Stay classy, Connecticut!
MATCH FOUR: SINGLES MATCH
Isabella Strickland vs Izzi Grimes
wrote:
The two women start to circle the ring to kick off their match. The self-proclaimed Mighty Mouse is at an obvious size disadvantage as Isabella Strickland tries grabbing onto Izzi Grimes, but Izzi is just quick enough to avoid any serious damage. Grimes tries to pepper Stricklands legs with small kicks here and there, but the veteran is able to see through the tactic, grabbing onto Izzis leg after an attempt and Isabella sends her across the ring with a capture suplex.
The experience that Strickland possesses plays a major factor in the early portions of the match as shes able to scout out and adapt around Grimes game plan. Isabella hits a big brainbuster that puts Izzi down and she tries for a pin, but to her surprise, the younger wrestler kicks out early into the count. Looking for a repeat, Strickland lifts Grimes right back up into another suplex position, but Izzi floats over and rolls the massive Isy up for a two count. Izzis inexperience gives her a slight edge as Grimes takes it up a notch against Strickland and hits a series of springboards.
A springboard moonsault in particular takes Isabella down and allows Izzi to take control of the match. Keeping the much larger woman down isnt an easy task, but Grimes stays on top of Strickland with flashy moves. A hurricanrana is followed by a standing moonsault from Izzi, but Isabella kicks out at two. Isy slowly gets to her feet with Izzi watching on and as Strickland starts to stand, Grimes charges in with a Kandifloss Kick (Jumping Muay Thai Knee)! Izzi cant quite get all the height needed and her knee goes right into Isabellas chest, enough to knock her down. She tries for a pin, but Strickland breaks out just before a three.
Izzi struggles to pick Isabella up, but does so and puts her in a ring corner. Taking a few seconds to get across the ring, Grimes starts to take off, looking to hit her handspring and as she does so, Strickland launches out with a Hellfyre Lariat! Perhaps taking too long to go for the handspring, Izzis slip up costs her big time as Isabella brings her back up and drops her with the Lady Death (Vertical Suplex Piledriver)! Dropping down to the mat, Strickland covers Grimes for the pin and picks up the victory three seconds later.
WINNER: Isabella Strickland by pinfall @ 10:34
The bell sounds and Isabellas music hits as the referee holds up her hand in victory. Strickland celebrates with the crowd for several seconds until she notices Grimes slowly recovering. Stepping over to her opponent, Isabella offers her hand in respect and Izzi stands, staring down at it. Grimes looks at Stricklands hand for a few seconds and accepts it, trying to raise up Isys hand.
BACKSTAGE
Backstage now and Tim Anderson is doing his best to catch up to Melissa Reeves as she walks along a corridor. Reeves is dressed for her match tonight, but wearing earphones. A baseball bat sits in hand at her side as she walks. She spots Tim and pulls the earphone out. She seems focused and lacks her usual smile.
Tim: Mel...Mel? I was hoping I could get your thoughts on facing Jakob Alexander later tonight?
Melissa: Jakob Alexander.
She sighs and looks down.
Melissa: Cant say I was wanting to face Jakob anytime soon. Hes a good guy. Skilled, too. Good competitor. But theres no room for compassion in the ring. I know that. Just a few days ago, I gave someone some slack out there and it turned out to be a mistake.
She looks up again.
Melissa: So tonight? Tonight I know that I can give no quarter. And as much as I like him, Jakob is simply another obstacle that I must overcome. Seems like Ive had plenty of those here in Liberty. But thats the challenge, isnt it, Tim?
Tim goes to answer, but Melissa cuts him off.
Melissa: See, unlike people like Becky, I dont look for the easy way out of things. I dont look to overwhelm everyone else with numbers. I dont look to take opponents out backstage.
Tim: Well, speaking of, we saw during the week that Becky Balfour has instructed fellow #TheSociety members, Havyn Black and Élodie, to take you out! What are-
Melissa scoffs and raises the bat into view.
Melissa: My thoughts on those two? Simple. They get in my way, they get taken out. They may not yet be members of the Liberty roster - but that doesn't mean I will show them any mercy. My fight, tonight, is with Jakob and Jakob alone. Becky and her gang of drones arent welcome in my match and wont stop me competing tonight.
Tim: But what about-
Melissa: Were done.
Before he can even respond, shes already walking out of the camera shot.
BACKSTAGE
The camera's catch up with Isabella Strickland in the back following her win just moments ago. She wipes some sweat away from her forehead and puts on a smile for the audience in front of her.
STRICKLAND: I know, I know...someone as experienced as me shouldnt be so excited about winning against an up-and-comer like Izzi Grimes, but I cant help having a smile right now. For weeks, Ive come so close to reaching that next level, but I fell short time and time again. This? This is what I needed. I told everyone I was bouncing back
Her smile widens as she extends her arms out
STRICKLAND: And this is the start. Izzi is a great talent and I have no doubt that when she gets some more experience under her belt, shes gonna do amazing things in her career. And I thank her...I thank her for allowing me to get back on track. Unfortunately for her, it came at a loss, but I know shell bounce back just like me. Shes got a fighters spirit.
Nodding along with her words; Isabella keeps her bright smile after the mention of Izzi before moving onto her next point.
STRICKLAND: I cant say whats next, its all a mystery...but what I do know? Im ready to get back to the top. I dont care who it is...what its for; just know that Isabella Strickland is going to reign supreme over Liberty Pro soon enough. Ill help as many wrestlers as I can along the way, but youll have to understand, this is a dog eat dog world.
Stepping up to the camera, Strickland loses her smile for a moment.
STRICKLAND: And Im all bark, all bite.
The grin returns and Isy winks for the camera before heading off the scene; the scene fading elsewhere in the arena.
MATCH FIVE: GOTHAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Ashleigh Powell vs Helena Noir
wrote:
The bell rang and it did not take long for Helena to charge towards Ashleigh, taking her down with a lariat. Ashleigh was quickly back on her feet and as she lunged up towards Helena, she caught her with a Lou Thesz Press. Ashleigh threw a few punches to the side of Helenas head before she picked Helena back up to her feet. Ashleigh whipped Helena into the corner, forcing her to crash against the ropes. Helena slouched in the corner as she attempted to catch her breath and she seemed to be completely winded. Ashleigh charged in after her and attempted a spear, but Helena leapt out of the way causing Ashleigh to connect her shoulder with the steel post instead.
Ashleigh pushed herself from the corner and grabbed onto her shoulder in obvious pain. Helena quickly went on the offensive and took advantage, grabbing Ashleigh by her hair and then delivering several knees into Ashleighs chest before hooking her arm around her head and dropping Ashleigh down with a DDT. Helena attempted a pin, but Ashleigh kicked out before the three count. Helena got back to her feet, momentarily arguing with the referee until Ashleigh tried to push herself to her feet and recover. Helena noticed and she reverted her attention back to Ashleigh.
She quickly took Ashleigh back down with a running knee to the head. Ashleigh lay on her back and Helena began to drop a flurry over elbows down onto Ashleighs chest. Helena picked a dazed and confused Ashleigh Powell up from the canvas and pushed her into the corner, driving several hard elbow shots into Ashleighs face. Helena then followed this up by delivering a knee to Ashleighs gut before delivering several more. Helena then hit Ashleigh with a running bulldog. She pinned but Ashleigh kicked out. Helena went to pick Ashleigh up but Powell rolled her up and picked up a two count. The two women got back up to their feet and Ash hit Helena with a dropkick to the knee, knocking her down to her knees.
Ashleigh then hit the ropes as Helena got to her feet and Ashleigh took Helena down with a slingblade. Powell pinned but Noir kicked out after two. Ashleigh tried to put Helena in her ZETA submission but Helena kicked her off. Helena got up and sprinted to Ash before leaping in the air and hitting a hanging DDT. Noir pinned Powell and got another two count. Helena started to stalk over Ashleigh when Jakob Alexander charged down to the ring. He leaped up onto the apron and Helena noticed immediately. She went to swipe at Jakob but he hopped down. Before helena knew it, Ashleigh was rolling her up. Ashleigh held the roll up until the three count and Helena kicked out a millisecond too soon as Ashleigh picked the victory.
WINNER AND STILL GOTHAM CHAMPION: Ashleigh Powell by pinfall @ 11:30
Helena was quick to roll out of the ring to give chase to Jakob Alexander but it was too late, as he had already retreated back up the ramp to the backstage area.
BACKSTAGE
Backstage the camera is outside Wrens locker room and Wren Sweet exits with her bag and championship belt slung over her shoulder, she is approached by Cass again, who blocks her way down the hall.
Cass Baumer: Wren, what happened out there?
Wren laughs coldly and steps up to Cass, her eyes locked on Cass her laugh turns to a smirk with a shrug as her tone is low, almost like a growl.
Wren Sweet: Oh that?
Wren adjusts the belt on her shoulder and laughs again, shaking her head.
Wren Sweet: I laid down, thats what Sluts do right?
Before Cass can answer, Wren moves around her and heads towards the parking lot.
PREVIOUSLY RECORDED
The familiar bubbly words of A Day In The Life Of: Scarlett Highland take over the screen.
The reality show opens with Scarlett kneeling down as her own theme music is playing. The shot then quickly switches to Scarlett walking down the street in New York.
Scarlett Highland: The big debate nowadays is kneeling for the National Anthem. Now, Im not going to get into that debate because, its whatever honestly. Im not into politics, but I do want to spark a debate today. The debate is: Should Zeke Reed kneel when my entrance music plays at Liberation?
The shot switches to Scarlett Highland standing in front of a green screen with a photo of Zeke Reed behind her with his fist hoisted into the air.
Scarlett Highland: Zeke is someone who has had every opportunity to succeed here, and just hasnt. Why? Because hes boring. Yes, I said it. Zeke Reed is BORING with a capital B-O-R-I-N-G! Now, Im sure people are going to ask, what does his failed opportunities have to do with his success, and my answer is...EVERYTHING! Look at me, Im not the most successful in the ring, but Im well known out of it, right? Thats because first, I have the highest rated reality show EVER from a wrestler, and two, because I endear myself to social media, which is a huge platform. Huge platform, huge star...see where Im going with this?
The screen behind her now switched to a shot of Zeke Reed being pinned by Becky Balfour in the three way match that also featured Melissa Reeves.
Scarlett Highland: How many chances has this guy had to become Liberty champion? Like...whatever. I deserve a chance! Maybe Ill get that chance after I beat him at Liberation.
The shot switches to Scarlett walking down the street in New York again. She looks behind her as a muscular man in a t-shirt with Scarletts face on it is holding a BOSE speaker over his shoulder like a boombox.
Scarlett Highland: Dont drop that thing, okay? Jeez cant people do ANYTHING right?
Scarlett moved to a park bench as fans from all directions began to surround her. Having an audience, I mean this was a reality show, so it couldnt be planned, right? The audience surrounded the bench that Scarlett was now standing on. She pulled her iPhone 8 plus out and held it up.
Scarlett Highland: Now, normally when someone kneels during an anthem or whatever, its disrespectful. But when I play my entrance music, I think EVERYONE should kneel, just as Zeke Reed should kneel at Liberation. You arent kneeling out of protest, more like kneeling out of love and respect for me, Scarlett Highland.
The camera zooms in on the wrestler turned reality star.
Scarlett Highland: Today, I will show you guys how to get people to kneel for your entrance music like Scarlett Highland!
The camera faded back out.
Scarlett Highland: Now, heres how this is going to work. Im going to hit play on my iPhone 8, and when my music plays, you all will kneel. Anyone who listens gets a prize. Anyone who doesnt, well, you wont be shown on camera soooo...kneel. Got it?
Scarlett looked back at the camera.
Scarlett Highland: And Zeke, I hope youre watching, because you should be kneeling at our match, but anyways...here we go!
Scarlett taps the button her phone and her music begins blaring out of the BOSE speaker. Every person around the bench kneels as Scarlett smiles looking on. A narration voice then comes over the video.
Scarlett Highland (Narrating): When youre young, beautiful and offer free gifts, you too can get people to kneel for you, like Scarlett Highland. But since a lot of you arent beautiful, maybe you can try the fist in the air thingy like Zeke Reed, not that its gotten him anywhere.
Scarlett pressed the button on her phone, pausing the song.
Scarlett Highland: I love you all too! Now, for kneeling for my music out of respect, you all get a free gift. You get a Zeke Reed official Liberty t-shirt!
Scarlett puts a hand over her mouth.
Scarlett Highland: Oops! He doesnt have an official t-shirt, oh well! You kneeled for an amazing cause! You all get pats on your back!
The shot faded back to Scarlett in front of the green screen with a large image of herself.
Scarlett Highland: I felt so honored when they were kneeling for me, like, to be loved on that level...its heartwarming.
She cried fake tears, as the credits began rolling.

MATCH SIX: HANDICAPPED MATCH
Seth Lawless vs Avery Smith & Emily Jackson
wrote:
Seth Lawless is standing across from Avery Smith and Emily Jackson before the match begins. The two are deciding who is going to start the match up when suddenly Avery and Emily both have their legs pulled out from under them and they are pulled out of the ring. Havyn Black and Elodie, the two new members of #TheSociety, have pulled the two women out of the ring. Havyn is punching Emily while Elodie is laying blows into Avery but it isnt long before Emily and Avery begin to counter and take the lead. But before they can do anything else, Seth Lawless comes from behind and takes Emily out with a chair.
Avery turns around and Seth takes her out as well. The three out of five members of #TheSociety continue to beat on Avery and Emily until they see fit and the three then get into the ring. Havyn and Elodie each stand on each side of Seth Lawless as he has a microphone in his hands and he begins to speak.
Seth Lawless: You see what happens when you play these game with me, Nathan? #TheSociety wont be taken down by your bias. So you can go ahead and keep on letting Scarlett suck that cock of yours for the next two weeks but when its time for her to face me at Battle Symphony? Well, that pretty little mouth of hers wont be able to open anymore after Im through with her.
The three Society members are laugh for a brief moment before Seth continues on.
Seth Lawless: Tonight, you all learned what happens when you fuck with #TheSociety. We arent just some group, we are a family and we have a couple of new family members who will do whatever it takes to make sure #TheSociety is at the top of this sport as it spreads its message. While we all love to wrestle, our message is the most important thing. It doesnt matter if you love us or hate us, were going to continue to use Liberty Pro and the CWC as our platform. And if you plan to get in our way? Then plan on getting mowed over.
Seth flips the mic over and his music blares over the PA system as he, Havyn and Elodie make their exit.
WINNER: No Contest
BACKSTAGE
Felix Vialpando was looking over his notes that he had made for his match with Alicia Lukas and he was suddenly interrupted by someone scoffing at him. Felix looked up to see Zeke Reed standing in front of him with his arms crossed. Felix rolled his eyes and asked Zeke what he wanted. Zeke told Felix he was there to wish him good luck and that he also hoped that Felix has eyes on the back of his head, because you never know when something might happen. Felix stepped forward and told Zeke to fuck off unless he wanted to start something now. Zeke told Felix he wouldnt do shit before slapping the notepad out of his hand. Felix looked down for a moment and shook his head before he suddenly pounced on Zeke. The two began to brawl backstage, knocking over several boxes and flipping over the catering table in the process, making a complete mess.
Zeke eventually took the upperhand, knocking Vialpando to the ground. Zeke kicked Felix hard in the gut, causing him to double over. Reed went to pick Felix up but he didnt notice Felixs hand on a metal tray that had been lying on the catering table. Before Zeke could react, Felix slammed the metal tray into Zekes face, knocking him out and onto the ground. Felix got up and lifted the metal tray, looking to do more damage but suddenly it was pulled away from his hands. Zeke looked over to his left and saw the Liberty Pro owner, Nathan Callaghan, standing there with a furious look on his face.
Nathan told Felix that he was sick of shit like this and that both men were suspended for the rest of the night and their matches were cancelled. Felix stomped his foot and clenched his fists in anger before Nathan told him to tread lightly before he was out of a job. Felix rolled his eyes before picking up his notepad and he began to write some notes in it while looking at Nathan, clearly writing something down about the Liberty Pro owner. Felix eventually walked away as medical staff came to check on Zeke Reed.
Nathan turned to the camera and told the audience that in place of Felix and Zekes matches, Scarlett Highland and Alicia Lukas would be taking each other on one on one later in the night. Zeke would eventually gather himself and push the medical team away before walking off, obviously looking for Felix who had already taken off.
MATCH SIX: SINGLES MATCH
Scarlett Highland vs Alicia Lukas
wrote:
The match began with Scarlett and Alicia getting into each other's faces. A few barbed words from Alicia seemed to upset Scarlett, as it looked like Alicia called Scarlett a whore. This caused Scarlett to react as she shoved Lukas back. Lukas would come back with a hard forearm smash, surprising Highland with it. Alicia quickly forced Scarlett up against the ropes before an Irish whip saw her catch Highland on the return with a power slam. Alicia pinned but Scarlett kicked out after one. Alicia looked to pick Highland up but the A Day In The Life starlet quickly countered and grabbed the arm of Lukas and putting it in an armbar. Lukas screamed out in pain but refused to tape out.
Scarlett yanked more and more, but a roll from Alicia broke the hold. She stood, holding the arm, and took an enziguri from Scarlett in the process. Scarlett pinned Lukas but the decorated wrestler kicked out just after the two count. Scarlett got to her feet and motioned for Alicia to stand. When Lukas got to her knees, Highland charged and she took Alicia down with a brutal DDT to a kneeling opponent. Scarlett pinned and got another two count before Alicia kicked out. Scarlett dragged Alicia toward one of the corners and climbed up, back to her opponent. Before Scarlett could launch herself, Alicia stood and jumped at the ropes, knocking Scarlett off balance and out of the ring to the mats below. Alicia climbed the turnbuckle she leaped off of it as Scarlett got to her feet and Alicia took Highland down with a diving crossbody.
Both women were down and out outside of the ring and the referee began to count them out. When the count reached eight, Alicia slid into the ring and then back out before picking up Scarlett and putting her in the ring. Lukas slid into the ring and quickly applied the Lioness Lock onto Scarlett. Scarlett struggled and yelled in pain as she tried to reach the ropes. Scarlett was having no luck in reaching the ropes. It looked as if the starlet was going to tap out but she gave one last ditched effort to reach for the ropes and she was able to grab them. Alicia refused to let go of the hold and the referee counted to four before tapping Alicia on the shoulder and yelling at her to let go.
Alicia got to her feet and she yelled at the referee. The two began to argue back and forth before the referee pointed his finger in Alicias face. Alicia shoved the referee, who stumbled back in surprise, almost falling. This gave Scarlett time to roll up Lukas for the pin and the referee counted to three and it was a very fast three count, which Alicia kicked out of right when it was too late. The bell rang and Scarlett was announced the winner.
WINNER: Scarlett Highland by pinfall @ 12:44
Alicia was furious as she got to her feet and Scarlett was quick to roll out of the ring, along with the referee. The referee raised Scarletts hand in victory at the bottom of the entrance ramp and Scarlett had a giant grin on her face. The referee had a slight smile on his face as well, leaving everyone to wonder whether or not Nathan Callaghan might have had something to do with the fast count.
BACKSTAGE
The feed cuts to backstage in the medical room where Brendan Callaghan is nursing his injury with an ice pack on his head. Seeing the camera, he winces.
Brendan Callaghan: Ugh you seeing this? You see? Wanna know what happened? The Society happened!
He tries to straighten up in his chair but it seems to hurt his back and cause some sort of spasm as he immediately collapses back in his seat, gasping in anguish. He shakes his head in despair.
Brendan Callaghan: Look, I dont care for titles, and I definitely dont care for this championship match with Becky Balfour. But I know I wont be facing her alone tonight. Seth and I bros, right? Ow!
He winces as he dabs the ice pack on the cut above his eyebrow.
Brendan Callaghan: But the rest of the book club? Err, I mean The Society? I know theyd do anything to protect their queen and her title. Thats why I was looking around for allies! Cause Im just ONE person, right? I cant take on all of them at once! I mean, do I look dumb to you? I tried asking a whole bunch of people like Melissa Reeves but none agreed to help me stand against The Society. I mean, she asked first but then left me hanging after that. I dont know! Shit, I dont blame her, I guess. The Society is the most vicious and unforgiving faction in Liberty Pro but they gave me an ultimatum I cant shake! Telling me to lay down or be put down? Thats not me. Thats not Brendan Callaghan. Brendan dont let nobody threaten him like that! Brendan is a fighter till the end!
In a moment of passion, he pumps up a fist with his free hand before slumping back in his seat.
Brendan Callaghan: But alas, Brendan cant fight tonight. Yep. I mean, obviously, as you can see, Im not fit at all to go on with the title match. Blame Becky, that la
: Ahem.
Surprised by the interruption, Brendan looks away from the camera and his eyes widen even more.
Brendan Callaghan: Whoa, Dad.
Nathan Callaghan: Son.
Looking quite grim, Nathan Callaghan walks into the frame with an iPad in hand. Clearly starting to panic, Brendan somehow keeps his cool as he sits up in his chair.
Brendan Callaghan: Im kinda in the middle of something here. Could you wait a minute?
Nathan Callaghan: Oh is that it? Well Ive got something very important to show you right now.
Nathan taps the iPad. Sensing something fishy, Brendan glances around nervously.
Brendan Callaghan: Right now?
Nathan Callaghan: Right now.
Brendan relents and Nathan holds up his iPad and taps a few times on the screen before showing it to him. The camera comes closer to capture a security footage clip playing on the iPad.
A man looking very much like Brendan is seen trashing the inside of a locker room and smashing everything with a steel chair before coming out of there, leaving the door ajar. After looking around to make sure theres nobody else in the hallway, he places the chair on the ground and takes out a packet of taco sauce which he empties out into a bottle of some red liquid and mixes together. He applies some of it on his forehead over his eyebrow, making it look like shoddy blood makeup. Then he quickly slips the bottle and packet into his backpack and tosses it far inside the room. He makes another quick check up and down the hallway before carefully laying down all sprawled out on the floor next to the chair. The video ends on a familiar note with two paramedics rushing to aid him a minute later.
Brendan fumbles for an excuse despite clearly getting caught for setting up the entire incident himself.
Brendan Callaghan: Wh-what? Psshhh, thats so weird! How? I mean, sure that guy looks a lot like me! Where did you hire him from? Is he a stunt man?
Nathan rolls his eyes as he knocks the ice pack out of Brendans hand, revealing no cut or any sign of a wound at all over his eyebrow. Brendan lunges in reflex to catch the ice pack but fails.
Brendan Callaghan: Hey!
Nathan takes Brendans backpack and unzips before turning it upside down. Brendan tries to snatch back but its too late as packets of taco sauce fall out, along with the bottle of red liquid. It spills on his shoes.
Brendan Callaghan: What the fuck?
Nathan Callaghan: Did you really think you could get out of your match by faking an injury again? This is a huge opportunity for you.
Brendan Callaghan: Were supposed to stay out of each others way, remember? I dont want your opportunities!
Brendan quickly scoops up the taco sauce packets and ice pack and stuffs them inside his backpack. As Brendan prepares to leave, Nathan steps in his way one last time with a stern expression on his face.
Nathan Callaghan: Youre wrestling tonight as scheduled, you hear?
Brendan Callaghan: Fine.
Nathan steps aside to let Brendan pass. With gritted teeth, Brendan slings his backpack over his shoulder and storms out of there.
BACKSTAGE
Its a slow night backstage for Liberty Pro interviewer, Tim Anderson. No interviews scheduled, nothing particularly interesting happening in the hallways of the Mohegan Sun Arena. And then he spotted Helena Noir, incredibly calm and collected considering what went down a few minutes ago. Jakob Alexander just costed her the match against Ashleigh Powell, and the chance to become the new Gotham Champion. One would think she was hunting him down, or at least throwing a fit Instead, she was simply leaving the Arena, walking toward a side door with a slow pace. Aware of her awful relationship with interviewers. he thought for some reasons that this would be a good moment to get a few words with her, after her first loss in Liberty. Considering how it happened.
Tim Anderson: Noir? Helena?
She stopped on her tracks. The look on her face, already displeased when she turned to the voice calling her name, switched to a visibly annoyed expression when she recognized the interviewer walking towards her with a microphone in hand.
Tim Anderson: You were leaving?
Helena Noir: So you stop a woman whos clearly walking to the door, carrying her gym bag on her shoulder to ask her if shes leaving? You always been the smart guy in the room, right?
Tim shrugged his shoulders, seemingly unfazed at her sarcasm.
Tim Anderson: Actually yes But I guess what I was trying to say is that Im actually surprised to see you let this go I mean, I thought the Queen Of Pain would already be on her path of revenge against Jakob Alexander.
Helena Noir: You must have missed the part where I made it clear that the queen is dead. And, on top of that, I feel like vengeance is a waste of energy and time. Thats exactly what Jakob expects, and wants. I met a lot of people like him throughout the span of my career. Selfish, talentless and hungry leeches always looking for someone better than them to stick on to stay relevant. And I decided Im not going to feed them anymore. Alexanders fifteen minutes of fame ended when the bell rang. Later tonight, you will see him one last time getting embarrassed by Melissa Reeves and, after that, we can all move on to bigger and better things.
She picked up her bag, ready to go. But once again, the persistent interviewer stops her with yet another question.
Tim Anderson: You sure about that? According to some, Mr Jakob in primis, you simply are scared to fight him
Helena Noir: I did fight him Timmy. Twice. And both times I walked out victorious. Now you will hear him argue that I didnt pin him in our first encounter, and I won by dq the second one after he smashed my head with a steel chair so hard that, at the end of the day, I didnt really look like a winner. Bullshit excuses. The bottom line is pretty clear actually. Two fights, two losses for him. Hes beneath me, end of story.
Tim Anderson: Thats what I appreciate the most about you Helena. Your modesty.
Helena shrugged off his witty remark.
Helena Noir: What for Tim? I see no point in playing humble, its as dangerous as being cocky. I know what Im capable off, I dont need to belittling myself to gather sympathy from the fans, I dont need to overplay my ability to sound intimidating. Just think about my match tonight. I said I respected the hell out of Ashleigh, she really is a talented competitor and she proved it once again inside that ring. She took me to the limit, and I did the same to her. I think I was having the upper hand, but I let myself being distracted by Alexander. Im not proud of myself, and admittedly, I saw that coming. I was expecting the sore loser to show up, but I overestimated him and thought he had the guts to come inside the ring and attack me. I could have walked out of this arena tonight with the title on my shoulder. But as you can see, Im actually carrying my back over it, not the Gotham Championship. And I have no one but myself to blame. So, if youre done bothering me for tonight, Id appreciate going back to the hotel.
Tim took himself a moment to think, before saying.
Tim Anderson: I dont think I have any other questions.
Helena Noir: Thats what I thought. Goodnight.
She was finally able to open the door and walk out in the Connecticut night.
MATCH SEVEN: SINGLES MATCH
Jakob Alexander vs Melissa Reeves
wrote:
The match began with Jakob Alexander attempting a grapple with Melissa, but the savvy striker hit a kick to the midsection instead. Alexander wasnt phased much by it, until he was hit with a second kick to the same area, this one bending him over. Reeves went for a ddt, but Alexander pushed her away. Melissa now charged at Alexander who tossed her up to the air, but Reeves had a counter ready, hitting a dropkick as she fell back down from the air. The number one contender for the Liberty championship was off to a great start, setting the pace for the match.
Reeves would hit a knee drop followed by a lightning quick leg drop on Alexander, but a pinning attempt would only gain her a one count. The veteran pushed himself to his feet and blocked a spin kick attempt from Reeves. Holding one of her legs, he hoisted her into the air and dropped her with a modified powerbomb. Instead of going for a pin, Alexander took the time to drop to a knee himself and recover a bit. The fans were already into this match, cheering for the both of them, but wanting Melissa to get up.
As Melissa finally made it to her feet, she was leveled with a brutal clothesline from the larger opponent. Jakob went for a cover and picked up a two count. Jakob went for an elbow drop next but Reeves was able to roll out of the way, leaving both competitors on the mat. Reeves made it to her feet first and stepped out onto the ring apron. From there the number one contender scaled to the top turnbuckle and waited for Jakob Alexander to make it to his feet. As he did, Reeves flew into the air and connected with a picture perfect flying crossbody. She hooked his leg in one fluid motion but only got a two count.
Reeves got off of Jakob was remained focused. She knew she had a chance to close this match out. Alexander groggily rose to his knees only to be grabbed quickly by Reeves and taken to the mat with a floatover ddt and pinfall attempt that again only earned Reeves a two count. The resiliency of Jakob Alexander was on full display and Melissa was beginning to show signs of fatigue, but not frustration. She rolled off of him and to her feet, grabbing Jakob with her and pulling him up. As both were on their feet, Alexander surprised Reeves by shoving her off of him. She then took two steps forward and was hit by a super kick that sent her to the mat. Alexander fell on top of her and picked up a very close near fall two count.
Alexander rolled off of Reeves and surprisingly Reeves pulled herself to the ropes again, and scaled to the top. With Alexander still down, Reeves hit a diving elbow drop but rolled off of him as well without even going for a pinfall attempt. The fans cheers quickly turned to boos as Becky Balfour marched towards the ring with her Liberty championship over her shoulders and fire in her eyes. Behind her were the rest of #TheSociety members and behind them were The Followers. The Followers surrounded the ring as Becky, Seth, Warren, Elodie, and Havyn surveyed them.
Both Melissa and Jakob had made it to their feet and looked at each other. They then took in their surroundings and saw they were clearly outnumbered. They nodded at each other as Becky gave orders and The Followers stormed the ring. As soon as the twenty men or so hit the ring, Reeves and Alexander through as many punches as they could before they were completely overwhelmed. The referee ducked out of the ring and called for an end to the contest, leaving it as a no decision.
WINNER: No Decision @ 16:24
The Followers tossed Jakob Alexander out of the ring and despite his best efforts to return to help Melissa, he was ushered backstage by a few officials at ringside. Becky Balfour hopped onto the apron and called off the Followers, leaving Melissa laying in the middle of the ring, barely conscious after the attack. Becky turned her head to the members of her family on the outside and pointed at Havyn Black and Elodie respectively. Becky grinned and then shouted Its your time to them as they slid into the ring, both crawling towards the fallen Melissa Reeves with sadistic grins on their faces.
Melissa slowly began to stir and as soon as she found the strength to make it to her feet, she was kicked in the stomach by Havyn and then both Havyn and Elodie grabbed her head and the two newest members of #TheSociety hit a double ddt on Reeves, officially rendering her unconscious as the fans showered the hated group with boos. Becky Balfour hopped off the ring apron and began making her way to the backstage area as Warren Corbett tossed a t-shirt into the ring that Elodie caught. Elodie draped #TheSociety t-shirt over the back of the fallen Reeves as the cameras then moved backstage to catch up with Becky Balfour.
The camera cut Balfour off as she shoved it aside, but even after stumbling, the camera remained on her. She stopped and backed the camera man into the wall, the blonde only a foot away from him.
Becky Balfour: You want a statement? We just made a fucking statement. I told Melissa Reeves earlier in the week that my new family members would get her, and what happened? My words rung true. Elodie and Havyn are officially family members, and now instead of having three sets of eyes in the back of her head, Melissa Reeves better have five sets of eyes.
The remaining members of #TheSociety crept up behind Becky, adding to the intimidation factor which lead to a shaky camera focusing on her and her backdrop of family members.
Becky Balfour: Warren retained his championship again tonight. Seth had his match won until the reality show bitch decided to prance her way to ringside, and we just put a halt on a match that the fans were clamoring over. Guess what? It should be US that you desire. Warren is a champion. I am a champion. Our family has made the greatest impact of anyone in Liberty since the doors opened, and yet we still get treated like outcasts. Respect still floats...and floats...and floats...and floats .
The Society begins laughing behind Balfour as she leans in even closer to the camera.
Becky Balfour: Until the fans start respecting us, and cheering for us, we will continue to destroy any and everyone that they care about. WE are the most dominant force in all of the CWC and if you still have a hard time believing that, ask Melissa Reeves. Better yet, ask Brendan Callaghan after our match, IF hes stupid enough to not accept my request of laying down. Brendan, if you stand in front of me, Im running you over. Fuck you.
Seth grabs Becky by the hair and tugs gently as the blonde spits into the camera lens before the group disappear down the hall.
BACKSTAGE
The scene cut backstage to Nathan Callaghan, who is standing by his office when Cass Baumer shows up.
Cass Baumer: Hey boss! Is it true that there's going to be a new Liberty title coming?
Nate's eyes widen.
Nathan Callaghan: Who told you that?
Cass Baumer: A source... Duh.
Nathan scoffs and shakes his head.
Nathan Callaghan: Whatever. I have no comment. Get out of here you little shit.
Nathan goes into his office and shuts the door behind him, leaving Cass there on her own.
Cass Baumer: Well ladies and gentleman, I think you've got your answer. It looks like there will be a new title coming to Liberty Pro. What will it be!?
MAIN EVENT: LIBERTY CHAMPIONSHIP
Becky Balfour vs Brendan Callaghan
wrote:
As the bell rang, Becky used her speed to run at Brendan and he tried to take her head off with a discus clothesline but Becky was able to duck under it. She bounced off of the ropes and came back at and she took Brendan down with a shotgun dropkick. Becky soon kipped up to her feet and to her surprise, the larger Callaghan was up on his feet as well. Brendan didnt miss this time as he grabbed a handful of Balfours hair and drove his knee into her gut. Brendan then hit Becky with a German suplex, followed by a second and then a third that he would bridge into a pin, showing off his wrestling ability that sometimes gets overshadowed by his non-serious attitude. Becky managed to kick out of the pin right after the two count.
Brendan wasnt trying to give Becky any room to breathe as he lifted her to a seated position. Brendan would then go back and hit off of the ropes for momentum before coming back and driving his foot straight into Balfours face. Brendan pinned Balfour again but she kicked out once more. Brendan, who was surprising the crowd with his energy and momentum, picked up Becky but she shoved him off and into the referee, knocking the referee back for a moment. This gave Becky the chance to hit Brendan with a low blow. But instead of hurting Brendan, it was Becky Balfour who was clutching at her arm in pain. The crowd was confused as Brendan stood their with a smirk on his face.
Brendan soon reached into his pants and pulled out a metal cup that was protecting his private parts. Brendan laughed before pointing at Becky who was still gripping her arm. He threw the cup out of the ring before picking Becky up and setting her up for a powerbomb. Brendan held her up before dropping her down hard and into a pinning position. The count got to two before Becky kicked out. Brendan rolled his eyes before getting to his feet and arguing with the referee that it was a three count but the referee disagrees. This gives Becky time to recover and when Brendan turned, Becky hit him with a superkick. Brendan stumbled around before Becky grabbed his head and and then dropped him with Scream For Me (Reverse DDT). Becky pinned Brendan but just before the three count, he got his foot on the ropes.
Becky freaked out, slapping the mat in frustration. She began to stomp onto Brendan over and over again before picking him up and setting him up for a second Scream For Me. Before Becky could pull the move off, Brendan shoved her off and into the ropes. She bounced off of them and Brendan lifted her up before nailing her with Boston Full Throttle (Delayed spinebuster to giant swing (speed increases with each rotation, which went up to seven until Brendan dropped her). Brendan pinned Becky and just before the three count, she kicked out. Brendan sighed in disbelief before getting to his feet and heading towards the ropes. Brendan exited the ropes and stood on the apron, waiting for Becky to get to her feet.
When Balfour rose to her feet, Brendan leaped up onto the ropes and went for Awesome As Fuck Kapow (Springboard forearm smash), but Becky managed to counter it with a brutal superkick that was heard throughout the arena. Becky grabbed a dazed Brendan once more and dropped him with the Scream For Me. She pinned him and picked up the three count.
WINNER AND STILL LIBERTY CHAMPION: Becky Balfour by pinfall @ 17:45
Becky was given her Liberty Championship which she held in victory. The four other Society members would make their way down to the ring and celebrate with her. Brendan began to stir and he looked around, seeing all of #TheSociety around him. He started to slide out of the ring but Seth slid out of the ring himself and stopped him. Seth pushed Brendan back in the ring and he started to beg them not to do anything. Suddenly a voice could be heard at the top of the entrance way and it was Nathan Callaghan.
Nathan Callaghan: Enough is enough. Ive seen your antics way too much tonight and you are all going to pay for it. Hayvn and Elodie? You both will be taking on Emily Jackson and Avery Smith in tag team action at Battle Symphony in two weeks. I dont give a damn if only Elodie is signed on as talent and that Hayvn is just a manager. If you want to get your hands dirty, then Ill let you do so!
A smirk runs over Nathans face as Elodie and Hayvn begin to scream at him.
Nathan Callaghan: As for you, Seth Lawless, Scarlett Highland will get to choose the stipulation for your match at Battle Symphony.
Seth rolls his eyes as if he saw this coming.
Nathan Callaghan: Warren Corbett is obviously going to have to defend his Anarchy Championship against Vitor Mata. As lastly, Becky.
Nathan laughs.
Nathan Callaghan: You will fight Melissa Reeves in a Last Woman Standing Match for the Liberty Pro Championship. That is, if youre able to survive your title defense next week. As for your matches at Battle Symphony? All of you are banned from ringside for each others matches and if any of you dare to interfere You will be fired.
Nathan drops the mic as Becky screams at Nathan and the camera can pick up that shes calling him an unfair bully. The scene then cuts out and the show ends.
