CHARACTER HISTORY/BIO
Lukas and Gavin were childhood best friends. Back then, Sophie was just his friend's sister but when they got older and reconnected after he joined Liberty Pro Wrestling, they developed romantic feelings for each other and started dating. However, their relationship ended amicably some time later and then his estranged father returned to his life under the pretense of wanting to reconcile and mend relations. Burdened by guilt and anger, Lukas made the mistake of helping his father who later screwed him over, forcing him to skip town and disappear. This not only destroyed his relationships with Sophie and Gavin but also with Helena, their younger sister Charlie and grandmother who raised him. Fast forward years later, his father was thrown back in prison and Lukas returned home in Las Vegas. For a while, he worked at Nightfall Fight, thanks to Chris Night who gave him a chance.
Soon enough, the desire to get back in the ring was too much to ignore. So, Lukas signed up at Liberty again where he vowed to pick up where he left off and really make a name for himself this time. His ventures in HKW Underground and Inferno each was at best mediocre, including his first run in Liberty. So right after he got the Liberty contract, he contacted Sophie and Gavin. While Gavin was simply happy to have his best friend back, Sophie was more angry and called out Lukas' failure to stay in touch. After meeting in person to apologise and reconnect, old feelings resurfaced and they made a shocking announcement on Twitter the next day: they eloped!
Things were starting to improve for Lukas until his career comeback match put him in the Anarchy division spotlight, prompting a fellow roster member by the name of Kendrick Kross to take it as a challenge. Despite the ring rust, he gradually gained the respect of the then Anarchy champion Nina and the Liberty fans. But the rivalry with Kross got so heated that it even involved Sophie who managed to hold her own against him, even though he tried to play dirty. Lukas managed to earn a shot at the title in a four-way battle but lost out in the end to Kross. This only heats up their rivalry even more as the two clash again and again until they were given a supershow match to settle their differences once and for all, though with Asher Miles as a third competitor in the mix. Despite his best efforts, Lukas again fell short, allowing Kross to retain his Anarchy championship. Losing twice in a row really stung but there was nothing Lukas could do as he was drafted to the Empire brand the week after.
...Or was there?
At the next Liberation show, Lukas showed up to help Gavin who got attacked by Chris Sanderson during his match with Kross but was blocked by security. Kross took advantage and pinned Gavin to retain his Anarchy title, prompting a very pissed off Lukas to fight through security and avenge his best friend with The Crowning on Kross. This controversial move left Jade Night with no choice but to eject him from the building. Lukas didn't mean to ruin her show, he just wanted to help Gavin. For a moment, he thought he was going to be suspended or even fired for what he did. Once again, his career was going to end before it could begin and it's all his fault because he got emotional. Yet Lukas got booked in a Liberation match the following week with TJ Techniques as his tag team partner, against Kross and his partner Sanderson. The opportunity for revenge just got doubled for Lukas but can he do it for himself and Gavin? Or will he succumb to the pressure... again?
