LIBERTY PRO WRESTLING PRESENTS...
LIBERATION: EPISODE NINETEEN
LIVE ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 27TH, 2018 FROM THE HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM IN MANHATTAN, NEW YORK
BACKSTAGE
Two voices rise up almost in unison, muffled slightly by the office door the camera is parked outside of, the nameplate saying Nathan Callaghan of course, and it could be deduced that those voices were that of his girlfriends, Coral and Nami Azul.
Coral and Nami Azul: Oh my GOD Nathan!
Theres a thump and a pause before the cameraman turns the handle on the door to see if its unlocked and then carefully creeped it open so the camera can see inside. There on the desk is Coral Azul, head thrown back and lips parted as Nathan kneels in front of her while Nami looks at them with a dreamy expression on her face. Coral sighs and shivers before she reaches to run her fingers through Nathans hair and she sees the camera and yells.
Coral Azul: How DARE YOU!
Nathan shoots up to his feet, whipping around and in his hands? A brand new exclusive high fashion Jimmy Choos shoe, sparkling and covered in Swarovski crystals! Clearly hed been putting the new shoes on Coral, who is revealed to be fully dressed. All three shoot dirty looks at the cameraman before Nathan glances over at where his bat rests.
Nathan Callaghan: Get out of here and count your lucky stars you still have a job and that I dont kick your ass for trying to act like a God Damn paparazzi instead of a proper cameraman.
He walks aggressively to slam the door and the camera zips back to catch the shot as he does.
BACKSTAGE
Scarlett Highland is backstage, holding her Trials championship on her shoulder proudly as she looks directly into the camera after pushing the interviewer out of the way for 'taking up her personal space'.
Scarlett Highland: Last week an American Tragedy took place when Brendan Callaghan went through the personal belongings of myself and The Girls of Summer. Talk about an invasion of privacy, this little CREEP actually had his hands on our clothes! He destroyed our beauty products and nearly tarnished our championships. Can you guys believe that?
Scarlett leans closer to the camera and taps on it.
Scarlett Highland: HELLOOOOOO?! I said can you guys believe that!?
The fans in the building boo as Scarlett takes a step back and shakes her head.
Scarlett Highland: ANYWAYYYYY...tonight, Brendan faces the perfect punishment. A three on one handicap match against three champions in Liberty. Now, I would say that I guarantee victory, but that goes without saying. I mean have you seen Brendan's win to loss comparison? It's embarrassing. Almost embarrassing as his...
Scarlett stops talking and tenses up. She can feel the presence of someone behind her. She swallows a lump in her throat as her eyes immediately show concern.
Scarlett Highland: Whoever is behind me I promise I'm going to make you regret it!
Highland turns around with a raised fist and swings but stops herself right before hitting Becky Balfour-Lawless in the face. Becky has twenty Followers behind her. She doesn't even flinch as Scarlett nearly punches her.
Becky Balfour-Lawless: Get out of here. Now.
Scarlett slowly backs out of view, clutching her championship close as Becky speaks.
Becky Balfour-Lawless: When I speak, people listen.
She removes a pair of sunglasses from her face and hands them off to one of her Followers.
Becky Balfour-Lawless: Scarlett Highland left at my command. These men behind me, the Followers? They would step between me and a bullet if I told them to. My words carry weight, power, and passion. My words? They are law around here.
Becky points to the CWC Tag Team Championship and the CWC Trios championship titles around her waist.
Becky Balfour-Lawless: These were obtained by FAMILY working together. Family sticking together. Family fighting together. Last night, #TheSociety invaded Canada and we showed Ascendancy why we're the only Family in all of CWC worth paying attention to. We walked into the Ricoh Coliseum, and we laid out three of the four members. We barely broke a sweat. At No Man's Land, we'll finish what we started last night. But tonight? Tonight isn't about the inferior version of us, no tonight is about family business. Seth, Trent, Elodie and Warren all go to war between the ropes tonight. Championship's will be defended, teams will be sent a lesson, Coda will be silenced and we? We will stand at the end of the night, a unit, a Family...Together.
Becky turns her back from the camera to face her Followers.
Becky Balfour-Lawless: Move. Now.
The Followers begin walking, all of them appearing nearly as if they are in a trance as Becky turns back to the camera once more.
Becky Balfour-Lawless: Enjoy the show...I promise we're going to give you one.
Balfour-Lawless pushes the camera out of her face and walks in the direction the Followers walked off to.
MATCH ONE:HANDICAP MATCH
Girls of Summer & Scarlett Highland vs. Brendan Callaghan
wrote:
Winner: Girls of Summer & Scarlett Highland
Finishing Move: That Will Leave A Scar
Near Falls: Brendan Callaghan (3), Coral (2), Nami (1), Scarlett (1)
Match Length: 09:44
Match Notes:
Brendan Callaghan put up quite the fight even though he had to fight a three on one battle. Brendan had several near falls, almost picking up the victory by holding Scarletts tights and even using the ropes as leverage as he pinned Nami. But eventually the numbers game became too much as Girls of Summer hit him with Sandy Cheeks and Scarlett finished him off with That Will Leave A Scar. The Trials Champion then picked up the pinfall and the win for her team, gaining some revenge for Brendans prank the previous week.
Post Match:
The Girls of Summer lifted Brendan up and held him up as Scarlett looked to hit him with another That Will Leave A Scar. Surprisingly, the fans started to cheer but it wasnt because of what was about to happen to Brendan, it was because Finn Brady and Izzi Grimes just ran through the crowd and jumped the barricade. They slid into the ring and they immediately took out Coral and Nami from behind with dropkicks, sending them flying out of the ring. This left Scarlett alone and before Finn and Izzi could do anything, she slid out of the ring. Scarlett went to check on Coral and Nami as Izzi and Finn helped Brendan up. They then stared down Girls of Summer and Scarlett as the three beautiful women retreated.
BACKSTAGE
Zeke Reed: Its going to be difficult, you know? I cannot stand here and say that going into this match with Melissa Reeves is going to be easy. Every other turn shes getting more accolades to pad that record of hers. Meanwhile, a lot of us bide our time waiting for our opportunity. Shes a living representation of initiative, and I have to be the one to put her down. Through all her adversities dealing with the Society, I have to be one to ruin this run that she has been on. Truthfully, theres only a solitary difference between her and myself.
Behind him, on a side-by-side screen, a montage of both Melissas and Zekes career in Liberty started to play. Each victory that theyve ascertained, even in some where they stood on one anothers side. The lasting shot was Melissa holding up the Liberty Pro Championship in contrast to Zekes empty hands. Yet, the images do not resonate with disparity towards Zekes status. If anything, it only brought gravity to Zekes situation as the challenger.
Zeke Reed: We have beaten just about everyone that we can on this roster. The list of people who havent fallen to us isnt a long list at all. Its just that you have a win over me, but that wasnt in the match were having now. This is one on one, no Isabella to get in the way. Now, Im not going to discredit what youve done in that match and thereafter. Im not the type of person to do that, but Im the man that sends a message. Thats what this game has been leading to this confrontation between Liberty Pros champion and the only man that has his hat in the ring of who is the best here. Im not just the number one contender; Im the most dangerous challenger that you have ever faced, Melissa.
Another montage cycled throughout the screens, showing the offense that the two top stars dealt to one another, indirectly or directly. From the initial confrontation that led to Becky Balfour stealing the Liberty Pro Championship to the attacks that the two gave to one another before this point. Finally, it showed the two standing shoulder-to-shoulder during the battles against the Society. Allies in the trenches, but rivals in everything else--the match coming forth would truly encompass all of Liberty Pros history.
Zeke Reed: I guess I should mention why I closed my Twitter account. This has been a practice of Mauna. Its a ritual of complete silence on all fronts to understand ones self. As I prepare for war, I must invest in every aspects of myself to be truly ready to conquer you, Melissa. Now, Im ready.
Flames collected into columns started to illuminate the room, where Zeke Reed sat in a meditative position. As hes finally revealed, he showed the Liberty Pro audience (who reacted to the video playing to them) that he had the Zulu paint illustrated upon his skin. Sprawling down his face to his abdomen, Zeke sent a message through his own way, through his heritage, that he was ready for everything the champion was.
Zeke Reed: I hope you are too.
EARLIER TODAY...
Outside in New York on a mostly sunny day, the camera crew see Honey and her good friend and supporter, Dylan Watson who's wearing a spiderman t-shirt that fades into a black shirt with @_SpideyWatson on. Honey, meanwhile, is dressed to compete and enjoying with a smile the delicacy of the hotdog shes nearly finished. Once she sips her water she chimes up with.
Honey: Thank you for coming to see, like, my match and stuff! After my training sessions with Melissa, and all the tips and tricks she taught me, I should be able to face this giant opponent!
Dylan chuckles, knowing Honey referred to anyone over 56 as a giant.
Dylan: You're gonna do great. You've got this.
He gives Honey a thumbs up and takes another bite of his hotdog. Honey sips a bit more water as she sees on the bus going by Rayven Hardys new movie: Some Things Just Happen. She then has a big, wide, shock look with a happy smile.
Honey: Some Things Just Happen!
Dylan: Yes...wait, what?
Dylan says with a mouthful of hotdog and bread trying his best to chew it down as Honey gets immediately distracted by the fans walking by with Society Shirts on.
Honey: I hope I can win tonight. Like, me and Coda did our best to fight for the CWC World Tag Team titles and I almost won against Seth and Warren, and theyre not Big Friendly Giants like
Dylan doing his best to chew down the hotdog and ask the question about something happening. Honey then spots New York Giants shirts walking past her with a startled look.
Honey: I think New York houses, like, lots and lots of giants.
And Honey takes a big bite of her hotdog, unaware its given her a full ketchup moustache as she eats down her hot dog quite quickly.
Dylan: Thats a sports team, Hon-
Honeys watch then beeps a little and she reacts like shes about to be tardy, because she is.
Honey: I have to go back! My match is soon!
Honey gives Dylan the rest of her water and races off towards the arena side entrance.
Dylan: Honey! You've got a moustache!
He says looking at the napkin dispenser available on the cart as Honey doesnt quite catch it and heads indoors. Being late was not on her agenda at all, as it wasnt good behaviour. Dylan chuckles and takes a swig of his bottle before walking his way to the front entrance to get back to his seat.
MATCH TWO: TAG TEAM MATCH
Chelsea Quik & Keisha Quickens vs Maddux Kingcade & Vitor Mata

wrote:
Winner: Chelsea Quik & Keisha Quickens
Finishing Move: The Gold Standard
Near Falls: Chelsea Quik (1), Keisha Quickens (1), Vitor Mata (3)
Match Length: 07:37
Match Notes:
Mysteriously, Maddux Kingcade didnt show up to this match, leaving Vitor Mata to fend for himself on his own and giving the fans a second handicap match in a row. This one went about as well as you could expect for Vitor as Keisha and Chelsea became too much. Keisha ended up taking Vitor out with Quiksand (Buzzsaw Kick) before tagging in Chelsea, who hit the top ropes and she nailed Vitor with The Gold Standard (Corkscrew shooting star press). Chelsea picked up the pin and the three count, giving her and Keisha the hard fought victory.
Post Match:
Keisha and Chelsea hugged each other as they celebrated their hard earned victory. They then raised each others hands as Maddux Kingcade showed up at the top of the entrance ramp and clapped his hands slowly.
BACKSTAGE
The broadcast switches to the backstage area where Coda sits comfortably with her crossed legs perched on a second chair in front of her and a book firmly in hand. The title on the front of the book reads "How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" in bold red stylized letters but as Coda glances upward to notice she was being recorded, she reluctantly closes the book and tucks it between her thighs.
Coda: I am not blind to the fact that the upcoming matchup with Elodie will not be as simple as it appears on paper. I am not ignorant of the idea that the rest of The Society will be watching as I handily dispatch of one of the most disposable members in their ranks. It is no secret the group has a fetish for the numbers game and should it happen while we are competing...
Her voice trails off into a short dramatic pause.
Coda: I would invite the challenge and the opportunity to grow stronger because of it.
The Destroyer pauses again in the methodical way she was known to do.
Coda: I have not forgotten their actions when I was surrounded and ultimately vanquished at their hands and I have not forgotten the disrespect I have been constantly shown by those within The Society since the night I signed the Liberty Pro contract, to the point in which it was suggested that I become a follower of The Society as if I do not deserve to stand on equal footing with the rest of the brainless neanderthals who pretend to be strong.
Her words grew more piercing, a rage harbored deep inside bubbling at the surface.
Coda: Why would I demean myself and stoop to such a level? Why would I waste my time being subservient to someone else? The answer is simple. I would not.
Plopping her feet to the ground, she sets the book on the chair and stands up against the wall before continuing.
Coda: The Society does not stand for the downtrodden people who wish to rebel. This is pandering to the lowest common denominator in order to gain some semblance of sympathy but you will not find it here. All that The Society will receive on my behalf is the opportunity to reevaluate those poor choices while laid out in a hospital bed with fluids injected into their arms via IV. It will start with Elodie and should the others choose to interfere on her behalf like they have been known to do, I am sure more rooms in the ER will be available.
She smiled slightly for just a brief moment.
Coda: The Society's actions are stupid. It is for this reason that I doubt they will heed my warnings but perhaps tonight will be a turning point for them. Maybe they will understand that I have no reason to lie and that I always mean what I say. It is no matter, however. I am thinking too deeply about the hypotheticals because the idea of competing against Elodie in a one-on-one match as advertised bores me terribly. I suppose it will be a statement but I will not gain strength because of the challenge. She is not a worthy competitor but I implore her to prove me incorrect. I offer her the chance to defeat me and earn my respect. It will not be easy but should it be accomplished, it deserves no less, yes?
Coda sits back down in her seat.
Coda: So tell me, Elodie? Do you have what it takes to defeat me?
She pauses for a good while, almost like she expects to hear an answer.
Coda: I am incapable of going easy on you, Elodie. I will treat this match like it is for a championship, as I have treated every match before, and I will show the rest of Liberty Pro how ill-equipped you are to be employed by this company once you are dispatched as decisively as the five of you working together were able to dispatch of me.
Reaching for the book at her side, she continued to read the book as the broadcast transitioned elsewhere.
BACKSTAGE
Honey is seen backstage with her phone watching her training videos over with current Liberty Pro and VPW Champion, Melissa Reeves. One headphone in her ear as she listens to Melissa's comments she recorded to study as she would. Until she's approached by a friend of hers.
Wes Futhhais: Sweet! You listening to some K-Pop drops?
Wes says taking Honey's headphones off her and putting it on. He then realises Honey isn't listening to any k-pop but Melissa's words of encouragement as she does some ring work. But he takes this as something else entirely.
Wes Futhhais: Ah, an American cover.
Honey turns but currently has a mouthful of strawberry kitkat to chew through as Wes begins to pull off some bizarre sort of rap with Melissa's normal encouragement and advice as the lyrics until she obviously stops talking to observe Honey.
Wes Futhhais: Yeah, Honey, like that .Be a fighter in that ring. Thats it, that's it, yeah .-- .no lyrics? No sweat, I'll ad-lib. Wezzy G coming in on a verse. Melissa's gotta right, Honey's gonna hurt. What out for the bee, she's got a stinger, and nobody's gonna wanna be in the ring with her.
Honey: Wes!
As she finally gets her headphones off her friend's head and interrupts him speaking fast after finding an audible
pause in her training video.
Honey: How did you even get, like, in the building and stuff?
Wes: Simple.
He leans in and puts his hand up to the side of his mouth, in a sly and sneaky motion to speak low. Revealing his New Japan Fighting Championship Commentator's badge.
Wes: I've got a golden ticket
Honey holds onto it as she looks at it.
Wes: I guess they think I'm press or something since it's got those Japanese letters. Pretty damn dope, watch. You, boy!
Wes points to Tim Anderson coming by with a hotdog he's just starting to open from its foil wrapping he bought from just outside the building. Honey is clearly in a bit of awe at how confident he was being in an arena he's never been before.
Wes: Gimme that dog.
Tim Anderson: But I-
Wes takes his badge back from Honey and shows it to Tim.
Wes: Diplomatic Immunity, unlike that one bad guy, this puppy ain't being revoked. Speaking of dogs
Wes does the gimme motion and Tim, being a little scared, hands over his hotdog before walking off. Honey looks a little shocked.
Honey: That's stealing! Wes, you should give back that hotdog.
Wes: Think about this, Lil Hon. Did you see him buy it?
Honey: No but Tim wouldn't steal.
Wes: People can surprise you. Like that giant you got to face tonight. What's its name Hagrid
Honey: Isabella!
Honey quips back quickly and Wes clicks his fingers with a finger gun pointing right at Honey.
Wes: That's the one.
And Wes takes a bite out of his hotdog.
Honey: What do you think she would do!?
Wes: Good Q.
He takes another bite and mulls over as he chews. As he speaks, Honey's face shows nothing but worry and a little bit of concern.
Wes: If I was a giant. I'd probably big boot you .stomp on your head a little, I got five seconds (he shrugs) and then why not powerbomb, no wait! Buckle bomb, no wait! Vertibreaker, no wait! Tombstone Piledriver Avalanche Tombstone Piledriver. But you know
Honey: Isabella has a code and stuff! She's very VERY well known for that too. She won't hurt me too bad and stuff
Honey smiles, relaxing herself a little while subtly remembering the things Melissa said, having faced her on Honey's debut albeit a loss due to Zeke leaving Mel high and dry. Mel telling Honey all sorts from watching how agile Isabella was to how Mel kept her at bay in the early part of the match.
Honey: Like my code, always play fair when you wrestle in the square.
Wes: Unless that was all a ruse.
Honey's eyes widen as Wes holds her by the shoulders.
Wes: Building up a reputation until this night, this very night in New York, to reveal it was all a hoax, just to beat you like you within an inch of your life.
Honey's eyes twitch a little in worry.
Wes: Pretty damn heinous if you think about it.
Wes: But you're that Super Falcon. And last time I played magic the gathering, flying can't be blocked.
Making Honey slightly smile and clench her fists as she felt herself rise in confidence.
Wes: But some giants do have reach which blocks flying, and then there's that whole monstrosity concept. But that's for the nerds to hash out on the social medias and the message boards. You gotta settle this in the square where you play fair, Lil Hon.
And Wes finishes his hotdog, Honey looks at it a little hungrily and feels her stomach.
Honey: I'm going to get a hotdog!
Honey says collecting her things and waves to Wes as she hurries off to find Tim for where he got the hotdog.
MATCH THREE: SINGLES MATCH
Coda vs Elodie

wrote:
Winner: Coda
Finishing Move: Rhapsody
Near Falls: Elodie (0), Coda (1)
Match Length: 04:14
Match Notes:
Coda made quick work of Elodie, taking her out in just four minutes. Elodie didnt have much offense in the match, as Coda looked to be toying with her at times. Eventually Coda had enough of the game she was playing with Elodie and she took her out with Rhapsody (a half nelson choke backstabber combination) and Elodie quickly tapped out, giving Coda the win.
Post Match:
After the bell rang, Coda held onto the hold as Elodie screamed out in pain and continue to tapped out. Soon #TheSociety ran down the ramp and Coda quickly let go of the hold and disappeared through the crowd as #TheSociety members checked on their fallen teammate.
BACKSTAGE
Doctor: Alright Emily, you are good to go. Just be careful out there.
Emily Jackson smiled she was in her street clothes as the doctor looked her over one final time. Emily got up from the bench and nodded her head as she started to walk out of the medical room. She took a deep breath when she got out of there and slumped down the wall. She put her head in her knees and closed her eyes.
Emily Jackson: To say I am nervous would be understating a lot of things. Im getting back into that ring for the first time since Avery tried to put me on the shelf for a long time. I didnt know if I would be able to get back into the ring honestly because of hurt I was. Not just because of what Avery did to me physically but what she did to me mentally. I will never be able to forgive her for what she did. I just want her one on one so we can end the whole thing between us, she didnt need to bring Romeo into this either but she did.
She shook her head again trying to figure out what was going on in the head of her former partner.
Emily Jackson: But the fact is that she has done all of these things and she has made it worse for herself. She didnt need to involve Romeo but she did. She made that mistake and now tonight Romeo and I get to step into that ring together as a team and prove that yes we might have chemistry outside of the ring but inside it, it might be even better and the beautiful thing is that poor Avery needs to find a partner of her own and quite honestly when you think about it who would want to team with someone like her?
Emily slowly got up and started to walk towards her locker room.
Emily Jackson: Then finally maybe I will be able to get some sort of payback on her. If she is woman enough she will get in the ring with me and fight me but knowing her she will cower down in the corner and when I call her out again on twitter she will whine and she will try and play the victim card. That is what is wrong with her she tries to play up the fact that it wasnt her fault that our friendship and team ended. It wasnt hurt fault that she pushed me off the stage, it wasnt her fault that she involved Romeo.
She shook her head one more time as she got to the locker room.
Emily Jackson: And she can whine that this isnt about jealousy but deep down both her and I know that this is all about jealousy.
BACKSTAGE
The scene fades into the interview area, where Tim Anderson is standing by, alongside Avery Smith.
Tim Anderson: Avery, tonight you've been tasked with trying to find a tag team partner for your match against your former friend and tag team partner, Emily Jackson, and Romeo Black. How has your search been coming along?
Avery scowls at Tim, almost blaming him for her difficult night ahead.
Avery Smith: How do you think it's been coming along, Tim? I'm a former Liberty Pro Tag Team Champion. I'm the star with the most potential in this entire company. Who wouldn't want to take the opportunity to team with me?
Tim Anderson: Well, actu--
Tim tries to offer a well-researched response, but Avery cuts him off.
Avery Smith: Let's face it; is there honestly anybody on the roster who could turn down the chance to team with me? The Society don't exactly need another member, but what harm did a little more safety in numbers ever do? On the flip side of the coin, The Society are running havoc round this place. I'm an accomplished tag team competitor, who better to have your back against them than myself? If that's not enough of an incentive, first of all, why not? But secondly, I have my contacts in this business. I'm sure we'd be able to work something out.
Avery laughs, somewhat sarcastically.
Avery Smith: So tell me, Tim. Do you think I've had any problems trying to find a partner?
Tim gulps, before presenting his response.
Tim Anderson: Well, now you put it that way, I guess not...
Avery Smith: Well, you're wrong. For reasons which I completely understand, nobody on the roster wants to relegate themselves to having to fight against Emily Jackson and Romeo Black. I can't fault them for that.
Tim shrugs his shoulders, before asking another question.
Tim Anderson: So, does this mean that you haven't found a partner?
Avery rolls her eyes and scoffs at him.
Avery Smith: Correct. But I don't need one!
Avery shakes her head at Tim, disgusted. She leaves the scene, as it fades out.
BACKSTAGE
Backstage, the Neon Tiger is seen taping his wrists in preperation for tonight's event. The usual high-energy is replaced by a determination as he rips off the tape, dealing it right before turning toward the camera.
Romeo: Man.... shit's messed up.
Romeo shakes his head, preferring to focus on taking his other hand as he continues to speak.
Romeo: I've uh, I've done my best to keep the wrestling side seperare from my personal life. I mean, it's no secret that I'm dating Emily, but that's never really been like, a thing in Liberty. We've been dating for a few months and it's never been an issue until now. We're just living our lives.
Romeo finishes taping his other wrist, placing the tape on the locker before grabbing his entrance jacket.
Romeo: I got to know Avery over the past few months. We got along, made a few jokes. She was friends with Em, they were tag champs, so I did my best to be her friend as well. I never wanted to make her feel unwanted or like she was a third wheel. And if I did, then... I'm sorry.
Romeo looks to the left of the camera, clearly feeling the weight of his words. He only pauses for a few moments before shaking his head clear of the doubt and turning back to the camera.
Romeo: I saw the cracks in your tag team because I've been in Em's position, but I thought this time would be different. I thought, "Hey, Avery's different. She and Em are friends. They're gonna make it out of this rough patch and be stronger. She's not gonna stab her in the back." I put belief that you were better than that, Avery, and you proved me wrong. You attacked Em, you attacked me.... for what? Why now? Why attack the two people who have been there for you?
Romeo shakes his head once more, this time in disappointment.
Romeo: We were there for you Avery. Before and after every match, we were right there by your side. I... I really thought that we were becoming good friends, that you could trust me and I could trust you. Even after you and Em split, I was just gonna let An handle her business and not but in. But you dragged me into this when you attacked me from behind. You made this my business, and now I'm gonna make sure its handled one way or another.
The look in Romeo's eyes is one of determination as he points directly at the camera.
Romeo: There's not a doubt in my mind that Em is gonna tear you limb from limb tonight. But you better believe I'm getting some as well.
Romeo walks off, the camera focusing on the locker behind him for a few moments. The camera zooms in to see a photo of Avery and Emily holding the titles as Romeo is on the side, all three smiling.
MATCH FOUR: TAG TEAM MATCH
Avery Smith & vs Emily Jackson & Romeo Black
wrote:
Winners: Avery Smith & Jessica Anderson
Finishing Move: Bonne Nuit
Near Falls: Avery (1), Emily (2), Jessica (2), Romeo (3)
Match Length: 10:14
Match Notes:
Everybody expected Avery to not have a partner, as she announced earlier in the night that she was going at it alone but it turned out to be a trick. Her sister, former EPW Canadian Champion, Jessica Anderson, showed up to team with her and be a special guest on the night, much to the fans delight. The match turned out to be an exciting one as it went back and forth but whenever Emily tagged in, Avery made sure to tag in Jessica to avoid Emily. Eventually Avery left the apron and walked over to Romeo and pulled him off the apron, causing him to hit face first on it before she whipped him straight into the barricade. This distracted Emily, who was grabbed from behind by Jessica Anderson. Jessica nailed Emily with Bonne Nuit (Headlock driver) and then pinned Emily, picking up the win.
Post Match:
The bell rang and Avery slid into the ring to celebrate with Jessica and they embraced in a hug. Avery then went to add insult to injury as she walked over towards the downed Emily but Jessica stepped in front of Avery and stopped her, telling her its not right. Avery sighed and nodded before they both left the ring and made their exit.
BACKSTAGE
Seth walks into the locker room he has both CWC World Tag Team Titles on his shoulder. He smiles as he looks around the room and sees Trent Grundy there. He hands one of the titles to Trent and nods his head.
Seth Lawless: Teaming with me bro, you might as well have one of the titles as well.
Trent receives the championship from Seth, letting it rest over his inner arms as he looks into the center plate.
Trent Grundy: Shit yeah, man. She's a beauty. I'll wear it with honor tonight. Holding it, kinda feels like I had a hand in winning it myself. Now I see what you mean about if one succeeds, we all succeed.
Seth nodded his head as he looked at Trent. He then looked down at his title and smiled.
Seth Lawless: That is exactly how you should feel Trent. Every one of us in the Society is a key piece in the goal that we want to achieve. See it was beautiful what we did in Canada last night we made the wannabes see that we arent going back to down and that we will be around every damn corner that they turn on. That is the goal, and I say that we did damn well. As for tonight you and I go out there and prove that we are a damn force.
Trent tosses the title over his shoulder, displaying it proudly.
Trent Grundy: Goddamn right they won't know what hit em. Lawless and Grundy, two of the baddest, most ruthless men to walk this planet. Show the world that the Society has no weak links or fold to its purpose.
Seth walked around the room a bit a smile coming across his face.
Seth Lawless: That is the best part Trent. Everyone always tries to poke and prod us saying that eventually we will all fall down. That the Society doesnt actually stand for anything, the Ascendency being part of that group of people. Its not about them tonight though because we will get them in the ring one day, tonight is about Carina and Nora. Tonight you and I take them out and I keep my damn momentum and you start to prove yourself as a damn good wrestler. And brother nothing is better feeling than us getting our hands raised at the end of the night.
A snarl appears on Trents face, with a nod following.
Trent Grundy: Sending a message is what I love doing. It could be anyone across from us, the result remains the same. There's nobody better to do it. Tonight, we show them magic.
Seth smiles as he puts a fist up and smiles at Trent.
Seth Lawless: And you and I can do it better than anyone else. Weve got this shit on lock. Knucks up.
Trent puts his fist up in return, allowing the two to connect with a unified force, walking out of view to cue the transition.
MATCH FIVE: SINGLES MATCH
Seth Lawless & Trent Grundy w/Becky Balfour vs Carina Eventide & Nora Lee
wrote:
Winners: Seth Lawless & Trent Grundy
Finishing Move: Detroit Is Burning
Near Falls: Seth (2), Trent (3), Carina (4), Nora (2)
Match Length: 12:43
Match Notes:
This match was pretty close, as Carina and Nora showed that they could find some chemistry together despite never teaming before. Carina almost won the match when she had Seth in Kiss of the Morningstar (Rings of Saturn), but Trent saved him by breaking the hold. Nora would step in and take Trent out with a dropkick that sent him flying over the ropes. Carina would soon tag Nora in and she showed off her skill against Seth as she kept him on the ropes. Eventually Nora hit Seth with Philadelphia Plunge (Sitout Facebuster) and pinned him but before the referee could make the count, Becky got up on the apron and distracted the referee. This gave Trent the opportunity to get in the ring and kick Nora off of Seth. Seth eventually tagged in Trent, who used his size to dominate them match. He went to hit Nora with Absence of Hope (Crucifix Powerbomb) but Carina came into the ring to stop it. Trent dropped Nora to the side as Seth tagged in from behind. Trent then took Carina out with Kiss My Sole (running big boot). Seth got into the ring and Nora went after Trent, thinking he was legal but Seth grabbed her from behind and whipped her towards the ropes. She came back and he took her out with Detroit Is Burning (pop-up powerbomb). He pinned Nora and got the win.
Post Match:
Becky, Seth and Trent celebrated the hard earned victory in the ring as Nora and Carina gathered themselves outside of the ring, clearly looking disappointed.
BACKSTAGE
Jumping backstage, we find Anastasia Hayden and Isabella Strickland, each greeting the camera with their signature grins of an arrogant confidence. Ana turns to Isy, motioning for her to speak, but Isabella shakes her head.
Isabella Strickland: No, no, I insist.
And Ana shakes her head.
Anastasia Hayden: Thats so sweet of you, Isy, but honestly, I insist. Really.
Isabella Strickland: Thank you, Ana. What a role model, huh? Setting an example for everyone else here in Liberty. Just like Im going to be setting an example when I go out there and absolutely tear Honey apart limb by limb. Look, Honey, I feel for you, honestly. I cant help, but feel bad that theyre throwing you into the ring against me. Its a cruel joke really. Theyre throwing you right into a pit that you wont be able to climb out of and Im the monster lurking in the darkness thats going to pull you down even further.
Isabella shrugs, knowing all too well what shes capable of, especially going against someone so young and inexperienced.
Isabella Strickland: Im the monster thats going to remind everyone why I am one of the best wrestlers on this roster. Experience?
Anastasia Hayden: Check.
Isabella Strickland: Ability?
Anastasia Hayden: Check.
Isabella Strickland: Strength? Size?
Anastasia Hayden: Check. Double check.
She smirks as Ana daps Isabellas boulder shoulder.
Isabella Strickland: I admire the tenacity you possess, Honey. But at the end of the day? Youre just a kid. And youll never really stand a chance against someone like me. But hey, maybe when I drop you on your head a few times tonight, youll call me up, and Ill properly train you. Ill teach you to be a winner and then some day? Maybe...just maybe youll be on my level. But until then?
Theres almost a frown on Isabellas face as she delivers her next line.
Isabella Strickland: Dont beat yourself up too badly. Because you never really stood a chance.
And a look of pity caps off Isabellas frown before she scoffs and takes a step back for Ana to take the floor.
Anastasia Hayden: Well said, Isy. And hey, speaking of tonight, I guess I should address just how excited I am that Ill get my first chance to knock out Melissa Reeves Im a fighting champion! Look at me, I got two belts! attitude. I get youre eager because this is the first meaningful thing youve done in your career, but lets slow it down a bit. Lets reel it back and look at the field of competition youve actually faced, Melissa.
Ana extends her hands out, gesturing toward the empty field of competitors Reeves has faced.
Anastasia Hayden: I travel around the world and I face some of the top tier talent. I beat the best of the best. You? You get to just run around and face nobodies. The people you beat? I dont even know them! But everyone knows Bryan Williams. Everyone knows Bronx Valescence. And everyone knows that I beat them both. Im a fucking superstar, Melissa. My worst loss is still better than any of your championship wins. Ive already beaten Becky...thats one Liberty Champion down...one more to go.
She holds up her index finger and winks at the camera.
Anastasia Hayden: But then again, are you even deserving of facing me tonight? Is Ashleigh Powell or Zooey West-Jaa worthy of my time? The more I stand here and think about it...I dont think so. Why should I waste my time with either of them? As a matter of fact, why should I even waste my time with Felix and Zeke? I know what Im capable of in the ring. I know that I can carry these two burdens to a victory...but why should I?
Ana shrugs her shoulders and looks over at Isabella for an answer, but she doesnt have one either.
Anastasia Hayden: I could defeat Melissa, Ashleigh, and Zooey all by myself. But you know what? Im more than happy staying back and being the leader of the roster that I am. Because I shouldnt be risking my health in a match like this when Im the face of Liberty Pro. So instead, Ill command Felix and Zeke to a victory. Sure, theyre not on my level and may never be, but goddamn, Ill be able to get them pretty damn close if theyre just willing to listen. But hey! Theyre stubborn fools all hungry for gold and being the champion...so theyre worthless. Which is a common trend here in Liberty Ive noticed. So should I even bother helping them win?
She ponders the question for a moment before smirking.
Anastasia Hayden: Dont worry, of course Ill get the win. A little warm-up isnt going to hurt. Because after I destroy the three stooges tonight, Ill have the pleasure of facing Ella Oliver at No Mans Land. And thats sarcasm by the way, Ella. I know shes a bit spastic and airy, but dont sweat, Ill simplify this so that Ella can understand exactly what Im saying. I saw her cute little detective get-up and I saw just how passionate she is about getting the chance to beat me
Ana puts her hand over her heart, showing a look of sympathy toward Ella, but its wiped away as she laughs.
Anastasia Hayden: Its not fucking happening. I understand that you live in this little fantasy world where you want to be this breakout superstar and you think that beating me is gonna be what makes you. Its fine to have dreams, but Im a master of reality, Ella. I dont deal with abstract thoughts or possibilities. I deal in absolutes. So if you wanna go toe-to-toe with me? If you wanna kick? Alright, great, but I guarantee that I kick harder. And youre just this pretty, innocent girl who is going to have her nose broke, who is going to have her teeth kicked down her throat, and who is going to be leaving on a stretcher.
Another smirk at the concept.
Anastasia Hayden: I dont care about glamour shots. I dont do the modeling bullshit. I do the fighting shit. I wrestle, I compete, and I show the world why Anastasia Hayden is the greatest wrestler alive! Like I always do. And like I always will.
With that, Ana takes her bow and the two friends head off as the camera cuts elsewhere.
BACKSTAGE
In the backstage area, Melissa Reeves is seen warming up in a gym area. Tim Anderson moves in front of the camera as they close in on her. Off to her side is Ashleigh Powell, whilst Zooey West-Jaa is in the far corner, working alone.
Tim: Melissa, a quick word perhaps?
Reeves looks up from her stretch and slowly nods. As she stands, she turns the camera away from her teammates, allowing them to continue their preparation.
Tim: Now, Melissa, tonight is the last stop before we head to No Mans Land, our joint supershow with the folks from up north. What are your feelings going into tonights match?
The clicks her tongue before looking at Tim.
Melissa: Tim, you know, you ask me things like that each week I see you, and the answer will never change. Im confident, Im ready. You know why that never changes?
He sort of shrugs.
Melissa: Ill tell you. Its because I spend time preparing. I spend time studying my opponent or opponents. I work to combat their strengths and Im always - always - working to strengthen my own weaknesses. So each week you ask me and each week Im ready.
Tim: Does it make it tougher having to team with two people who, whilst familiar, are hardly your regular teammates?
The champ shakes her head and takes a second to look off camera, toward Ashleigh and Zooey.
Melissa: All the way through my career Ive been paired up with unfamiliar people. Sometimes people I dont even like. But Ash and Zooey? Theyre two women that Ive fought. Two women who, truth be told, Ive defeated. Does it make it tougher? No, I dont think so. I am at least familiar with them. And its the same for both teams.
Tim: True enough. Speaking of No Mans Land, what are your thoughts there?
Melissa: Ahh its a huge event, isnt it? Liberty and Empire working in unison. Theyre two of the best promotions within the CWC and thats a lot of fantastic talent that will be on show across the two nights. Im very excited to be there and very excited to take part. Itll be a great event and I cant wait to do my part.
Tim: Melissa Reeves, thank you.
Melissa: Of course.
She nods and moves off camera, ending the segment.
MATCH SIX:SINGLES MATCH
Honey vs Isabella Strickland
wrote:
Winner: Honey
Finishing Move: Roll-Up
Near Falls: Honey (2), Isabella (4)
Match Length: 10:54
Match Notes:
Honey had a rough time in this one, as she gave up a huge size advantage to Isabella Strickland. Isabella was able to show off her strength and power in this match, throwing Honey around like she was nothing. But eventually, Honey would use her speed as an advantage, running around the ring and hitting Isabella with a plethora of dropkicks and leg strikes before taking Isabella down with a hanging DDT. Isabella would eventually take back control and hit Honey with a powerbomb. She pinned Honey but Honey managed to kick out just before the three count. Isabella looked to end the match but Helena Noirs music blared over the PA system and Isabella turned towards the entrance way, yelling for Helena to bring it but she didnt appear. Honey then rolled Isy up from behind and picked up the three count.
Post Match:
Isabella quickly rolled out of the ring and charged backstage. Meanwhile inside of the ring, Honey celebrated her victory as the fans cheered her on.
BACKSTAGE
As the scene fades backstage Felix Vialpando is seen leaning up against a wall studying some notes as well as jotting a couple more down. Before he could jot down the next note Tessa Sweet popped out of no where startling him. Tessa laughed at him and asked what he was afraid of. Of course Felix denied ever being afraid and then stated that it was rude for her to interrupt him such as this. He was clearly trying to prepare for his upcoming match tonight.
Sweet rolled her eyes not caring about any of that and told Felix that she was just here to ask a couple questions. Felix groaned and stated he knew she was here for a damn interview and to proceed with her God forsaken job and to do it right. Another roll of the eyes from Tessa before she continued with the interview. Her first question was a dig at him for last weekend noting that it was a terrible weekend for him. First screws his own team out of winning, he's eliminated from YGC and he was the first to be eliminated during HKW's Brand Supremacy Battle Royal. Felix bit down on his job and grunted. Felix stated that it wasn't his fault his team last last weekend, in fact it was Zoey and Ashleigh's faults! Then he went onto say that YGC was a error in his notes so it resulted in such a result and then he blamed all his recent trials and tribulations on Johnny Evil. He actually went off about Evil for like 5 minutes before Tessa asked him to move on to something else.
Tessa follow up question was about having to team up with Zeke Reed tonight along with Anastasia Hayden. Felix grimaced at the name of Reed knowing their history with one another. Felix went on to say that he was honored to be able to team up with the likes of Hayden but didn't like that he had to team up with Reed. He believes that Reed would try to do something to jeopardize the team knowing that both Hayden and Reed are gunning for the Liberty Championship. He has to deal with two enemies of each other while not being familiar with one in Hayden and actually being a sworn enemy of Reed. Felix says he will have to keep an eye on Reed but also be the one to try to keep the peace between them all if at all possible. He shook his head and muttered something to himself after saying that.
Before Tessa could ask him anymore questions Felix waved her off and told her to leave him alone he wasn't done studying and compiling his notes before storming away.
RINGSIDE
Noir by Shannon plays out of the loudspeakers, and Helena Noir walks out of the curtains to the usual great reception from the New York crowd. Making her way to the ring, she seems extremely focused on the task ahead, a shot at Warren Corbetts Anarchy Championship. Another shot at the #Society. But it looks like that, before going down to business, she has something to say. Grabbing a microphone from ringside, she finally steps between the ropes, waiting for her music to fade before addressing the crowd.
Helena Noir: I know some people are wondering what the hell happened last week, why I refused to give the tag to Isabella... I guess what happened next can be considered your answer. I didnt trust her enough to rely on her to win that match. Our alliance was built on weak foundations, and Ive been stabbed in the back one too many times to take the chance. Besides, I was doing pretty well on my own. Isabella then showed her true colors, trying to attack me with a chair. Well you all saw what happened next... Its safe to say that her plan backfired, and I took a small revenge. My only regret is I wasnt able to take a swing at the #Society as well. Luckily enough I have another chance tonight.
Keeping her eyes on the entrance ramp, she starts pacing back and forth.
Helena Noir: Icing on the cake, I have the chance to take something away from them, the Anarchy Championship. All I have to do, is beat Warren Corbett. Truth being told, I dont think it will be so easy. I might disagree with everything he believes in, I might despise what his gang stands for, I certainly dont buy the bullshit the keep spewing, and I wish they all will smarten up and stop being Beckys puppets But I am not, and I possibly cant, denying his ability. As a matter of fact, I firmly believe he could stand on his own, march to the beat of his own drum instead of keeping the pace of a crew of wannabes. He surely will get a lot farther, sooner and with a lot less regrets.
She stops once again in the middle of the ring, moving her hand through her hair.
Helena Noir: Anyway, this is where I stop caring about his poor life choices. He pledged his allegiance to the #Society, he decided to walk with them and that puts him on my way. Tonight its not about the Anarchy Championship, but I will gladly take it away from their grasp. Tonight its a step forward to taking down the #Society. One by one, piece by piece. The time for talking is over, I didnt come out her to make threats or to give out free career advices. I came to fight. I came for your title.
As soon as Helena finishes her sentence, Exs and Ohs by Atreyu blares through the PA system to an outstanding amount of boos from the New York crowd. Helena spreads a slight smirk, knowing full well her words would hit home. From the back, walks Warren Corbett, the Liberty Pro Anarchy Championship held on his side, in his right hand. Hes already got a microphone in hand as he slowly walks down the ramp, his music quickly fading away.
Warren Corbett: If there is one thing I would love for Liberty Pro to realize, is that #TheSociety is family. Its NOT a load of henchmen bending to Beckys will. We were all drawn together through the same experience, and thus, we preach the same message. With #TheSociety, weve been the biggest breakout story that Liberty Pro has. The last CWC World Trios Champions, the current CWC Tag Team Champions, former Liberty Pro Champion, and of course, current Liberty Pro ANARCHY Champion.
He takes the belt hes been holding on his right side, and thrusts it high into the air to another loud attack of boos from the audience. Warren doesnt seem to care, as usual. Instead, he slings the belt upon his shoulder, down to the bottom of the ramp now.
Warren Corbett: I may be making headlines ACROSS CWC with my family, even making our presence known in Empire last night...but youre right Helena, this moment isnt about #TheSociety. Its fully about me, and my Anarchy Championship Ive fought so hard for. You claim to not be sweeping my abilities under the rug, but you dont seem to have taken into account what Ive DONE for this division in Liberty. Ive created this whole damn division, Ive taken this belt to heights I bet Carina never even dreamed of. Each and every week I come out here, I give these people what they wanna see - ANARCHY - and they continue to boo me for it. Thats fine, but it doesnt change the fact that Ive already been through plenty of others to get where I am today. What makes you so special, Helena? What makes you think youre better than all the others?
Warren walks up the steel steps, pushing the top rope down and stepping over, making sure to hold his belt in place upon his shoulder as he does.
Warren Corbett: Ive beaten the Liberty Trials Champion, Ive beaten the Liberty Gotham Champion. I know youve just recently fought Melissa Reeves, Ive been in the ring with her myself. By now this Anarchy Championship is second ONLY to the Liberty Pro Championship itself. I live and breathe Anarchy, its been my life since I was born, and Ill continue holding this belt until I damn well feel like it, Helena!
Helena smiles in response, walking back to her corner as Warren gives up his mic and the Anarchy Championship.
HEADLINE: FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE ANARCHY CHAMPIONSHIP
Helena Noir vs Warren Corbett
wrote:
Winner: Warren Corbett
Finishing Move: The Battle Ax
Near Falls: Warren (3), Helena Noir (4)
Match Length: 17:14
Match Notes:
This match was a battle to remember. Helena and Warren really took it to each other as they hit each other with everything they had. Helena destroyed a chair, bending it in half from beating Warren down so much with it but he still kicked out. Eventually the match ended up backstage and Warren put Helena through the catering table, causing food to fly everywhere. He pinned Helena and got a two count. The fight then ended up in an empty locker room, with Helena shoving Warrens head inside a locker before slamming the door on his head. She then put him in the Fondu Au Noir (Cradle DDT into a Guillotine Choke) and Warren looked like he was about to pass out but suddenly, Isabella Strickland showed up and pulled Helena off. The two began to fight back and forth before Isabella thumbed Helena in the eye before dropping her with a fall away slam that sent her straight into the lockers. Isabella left Helena lying there and Warren got up and finished off the job, hitting Helena with The Battle Ax (Spinning High Impact Spinebuster). Warren pinned Helena and got the win, retaining his championship.
Post Match:
Warren celebrated his win before exiting the locker room, leaving Helena there on her own. Isabella soon returned and she hit Helena with Lady Death (Vertical Suplex Piledriver). Isabella then yelled at Helena before exiting the scene. Backstage personnel soon entered the locker room to check on Helena before the scene cut away.
BACKSTAGE
Zooey West-Jaa sits in her locker room backstage, presses up against the wall, her feet placed on the floor where she sits, she balances herself with her head rolled back and her eyes closed. Already dressed to compete she seems lost in her own world, reaching for her focus. Dom Wolfe soon takes a seat next to her and places a hand on her leg.
Dom Wolfe: You feeling alright, Zoo?
Without opening her eyes, a smile crosses her face at the sound of his voice, her body naturally leans so she can press close against him, eyes still closed as she speaks.
Zooey West-Jaa: Aye, just tryna remind myself to keep my cool, you know? That fuck standing across the ring from me could get me tunnel vision and its not the night for it
Dom laughed and shook his head.
Dom Wolfe: Which fuck? You have several standing across the ring from you. But I suppose the fuckiest of them all is that note taking moron.
Her eyes open and she mimes writing notes in the air before them, she grins as she looks at him now.
Zooey West-Jaa: Yeah. That one fucking twat, stole a win from me last week and thinks hes king of the hill now. You reckon I could just shove my boot down his throat and wear him like a slipper?
Dom nodded.
Dom Wolfe: I reckon you could do whatever you want to em, hes nothing compared to you and that Gotham Championship is as good as yours next week.
She pushes off the wall slightly to half sit on his lap, facing him as she lets out a low growl.
Zooey West-Jaa: doesnt matter if its him, or Ashleigh, I am this close
She holds up her thumb and finger to illustrate her point.
Zooey West-Jaa: Thiiiisssss close to being a champion again and this time, itll be how it always shoulda been, with you by my side.
Dom smiled widely and nodded.
Dom Wolfe: Exactly. Things are about to be how they were always meant to be. You and me are together and you become the champion I always knew you could be. Its bloody perfect.
She nips at his lip with a light chuckle.
Zooey West-Jaa: You always had faith in me, its cause of you Im out here again, trying again I thought I was done. That championship? When I raise it, it wont just be for me itll be for you too. Youve worked every fucking bit as hard as I have and I wouldnt hope to be half as good as Ive become without your support.
He leans in and steals a quick kiss before smiling.
Dom Wolfe: And youve done the same for me. Just do me a favor and be careful out there tonight, yeah? Things could blow up.
She smiles and leans in running her hands down his chest.
Zooey West-Jaa: Ill be careful, I promise.
She waves off the camera as she kisses him with passion; pulling him close.
TESSA SWEET SPECIAL INTERVIEW
Inside Nathan Callaghans office; Tessa Sweet sat on one side of his desk, dressed in a short black dress that still maintained an air of class she always carried with her and matching heels. Her eyes were on the intimidating form of Nathan Callaghan but she seemed mostly indifferent to his scowl, a smile painted on her face.
Tessa Sweet: Are you ready to begin, Nath?
She intentionally kept her address to him as casual but still polite, her smile still pressed on her lips.
Nathan leaned forward in his chair, keeping his eyes set on Tessas.
Nathan Callaghan: If I wasnt ready to begin, we wouldnt be here, Mrs. Sweet.
She pressed her tongue against the inside of her cheek before nodding.
Tessa Sweet: You requested the interview after I voiced an intent to give your friends an equal chance to give their side of things, do you not trust them to keep things straight? Is that why theyre hidden away and youre sitting here now?
Her eyes stay on his, as opposed to looking to the camera as she normally would. Her tone is still polite and friendly but her question is for the jugular on the offset.
Nathan curled his nose as he tilted his head.
Nathan Callaghan: Is that how you see things? Because the way I see it, its been you knocking down my door the last few weeks and now Ive given you the interview with me that you wanted. So dont make this about them avoiding you, this is about you wanting an interview with me and Im giving it to you.
She tries to hold back a scoff and shakes her head, shifting slightly in her seat.
Tessa Sweet: You Are yet to say anything about the security footage that shows you, the girls and scarlet in cahoots to violently and unjustly attack your own son at every opportunity, this goes beyond tough love and could be deemed as spiteful and even cruel why?
Her final word is harshly punctuated, she bites back on her jaw to keep her tone polite but her feelings surrounding the subject are obvious.
Nathan scoffed and shook his head.
Nathan Callaghan: You have no idea what youre talking about. You think this is some kind of tough love situation? Please, I separate my business and my personal life and I treat Brendan how I would treat any other talent that could be wasting their talents like he is.
Tessas brows raised and she purses her lips.
Tessa Sweet: So, youre saying that you condone corporal punishment should a roster member not meet the standards you expect?
Nathan shrugged.
Nathan Callaghan: Im saying that I dont condone bullshit. I dont show favoritism but I do give people what they deserve, what theyve earned.
She smirks and shakes her head, obviously holding back comments that would be her own feelings as opposed to investigative.
Tessa Sweet: Have you not, in the past, fired roster members for attacking people as Coral and Nami have attacked Brendan? How would you answer allegations that you are incapable of controlling your emotions when it comes to your son, that all of this is simply you attempting to one up him after his very public statements regarding your personal life across several social media platforms?
Nathan laughed and shook his head.
Nathan Callaghan: I might have a Special relationship with Coral and Nami, but if youve seen their matches, theyve earned everything theyve ever received. Its Brendan who has decided to play pranks on them and harass them, as well as continually harassing Scarlett, who also has never received any favors from me. So the three of them have decided to team up and have each others back against people like Brendan, against people who make these bullshit accusations against them and try to attack them. Can you blame them? And hell, maybe I did approve of them doing what they did So fucking what? They are the future of this company because they work hard. Brendan? Hes not the future and he wouldnt be able to hold a job without me. When I left Empire to build Liberty, they asked me, no They BEGGED me to take him with me. So what do you want me to say, Tessa? Ive given you the truth. Scarlett and Girls of Summer are angels. I guess you could call them Nathans Angels.
Nathan smirked and gave a nod of approval of the name he came up with. Tessa gives him a brief look of disgust before shaking it off and forcing another smile.
Tessa Sweet: So despite firing say.. a former tag champion for taking a stand, you are now approving vigilante justice? Ill tell you who Effing cares Nathan, the fans do. They care that a product they have poured their love into, a product they have given their time and attention to; is being marred by your personal feelings - you havent actually answered a single question thus far, youve merely redirected. You may think youre a smart man, but the fans are smarter and they have been very vocal in their disapproval of your so called future dont you care what your audience wants?
Nathan Callaghan: Do I care what they want?
Nathan scoffed and rolled his eyes.
Nathan Callaghan: I dont give a damn what they want. You want to know why? Because if they got every little thing they wanted, it would be boring. No, they need the element of surprise and so far, Ive given it all to them and guess what? They keep on watching. Im going to run my product how I see fit and clearly I know how to do it because Liberty is thriving. So you and the fans need to stop worrying about how I run things and just sit back and enjoy the ride.
He leaned forward and stared at Tessa for a moment.
Nathan Callaghan: We done here?
Leaning back in close she shakes her head sternly.
Tessa Sweet; So how does this work Nathan? You fire the ones that wont sleep with you?
As soon as the question leaves her mouth she throws her hand over it with wide eyes and a gasp. Surprisingly, Nathan grins before letting out a light laugh.
Nathan Callaghan: Youre not fired yet, are you?
He laughs again before leaning back in his chair.
Nathan Callaghan: But you know, it would be a shame if anything ever happened to you. So far, youve been under my protection and Ive shielded you from every threat thrown your way. But maybe Ill lift that protection? Maybe I wont.
He kicks his feet up on his desk and shrugs.
Nathan Callaghan: I guess time will tell.
Nathan then nods towards the door.
Nathan Callaghan: See yourself out, Tessa.
She drops her hand and shakes her head, leaning in close she drops her voice to a whisper.
Tessa Sweet: If you are ever the reason he gets back in that ring, youll come to know why they say never cross a woman scorned.
Pushing up from the chair she storms out of his office, slamming the door loudly behind her. Nathan grinned widely before looking over some papers on his desk, seemingly unphased by Tessas words and reaction.
MAIN EVENT: SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH
Anastasia Hayden, Felix Vialpando & Zeke Reed vs Melissa Reeves, Ashleigh Powell & Zooey West-Jaa
wrote:
Winners: No Contest
Finishing Move: N/A
Near Falls: Ana (1), Felix (2), Zeke (2), Melissa (1), Zooey (1), Ashleigh (2)
Match Length: 15:36
Match Notes:
This match seemed to be one of the best of the night as it went back and forth between each teams, which wasnt surprising considering the talent inside of the ring. Eventually, egos would cause things to go sour as Zeke tagged himself in by slapping Felix on the back. The two argued before Felix tackled him through the ropes and they began to fight back and forth outside of the ring. Ashleigh and Zooey then left their corner and began to join the brawl and the referee declared the match a no contest.
Post Match:
The bell ring and Anastasia Hayden and Melissa Reeves were now in the ring. The two began to fight and Mel gained control, taking Ana down with the Reaver Slam (Angle Slam). Isabella, who was ringside for the match, took Melissa out with a big boot. Outside of the ring, Ashleigh took Felix out with a cutter but when Ashleigh turned around, Zooey took her out with a brutal buzzsaw kick, which surprised her. Helena Noir appeared gingerly from backstage and she pulled Isabella out of the ring before taking her out with a DDT. Reeves began to stir on her hands and knees and Ana looked to be lining her up but she saw Zeke Reed slide into the ring, so Ana decided to roll out and avoid the fight. Zeke then looked at Melissa who was on her hands and knees, and it looked like he was lining her up for American History X (curb stomp), but he ended up walking towards her and Melissa stood up. Zeke gave Melissa a nod of respect before offering his hand. Melissa accepts and the two shake hands, showing respect towards one another heading into No Mans Land.
