The camera focuses once again on the huge warehouse in the heart of Detroit that houses #TheSocietyShowcase. A line of people, homeless and downtrodden, warm their hands by the flaming barrels as they file into the cavernous space. They mumble softly, grumbling under their breath but once they enter their spirits are lifted by the sight of one Becky Balfour-Lawless. Dressed in her customary black leather jacket, black skirt, with fishnet tights, and black boots, Becky greets each Follower before she notices the camera and she steps away from the line.
Becky Balfour-Lawless: Welcome once again to our world. A world in which the forgotten, are the featured. The prominent, are the underdogs, and #TheSociety? Were the heroes.
Balfour-Lawless sneers as she runs her tongue over her bottom lip.
Becky Balfour-Lawless: Welcome to Episode Two of the The Society Showcase. The first edition went so well that potential opponents were practically tripping over themselves to come dance with us in downtown Detroit. But tonight it isnt me who will be leading the suffering and ignored into battle. Tonight it will be Warren Corbett. The man who extinguished poor little Megan Rydells dreams of becoming PRIDE Champion with a perfectly timed spear. Now the little sister of Ascendancy is here to avenge poor Meg.
Becky mockingly wipes away fake tears.
Becky Balfour-Lawless: What a beautiful story, if only it would end happily for them instead of with Aria Cruz lying broken in OUR ring. I know her background, poor Aria grew up on the streets of Mexico were almost kindred spirits but wait, now she shares a mansion with her sister and her brother-in-law. Now shes a have thumbing her nose at the have nots. Im sorry Aria but you shouldve listened to Riley when she said that walking in here alone was foolish. Meg was the first member of your group to pay for the sins of Ascendancy, now youll get to be the second. No worries, Riley and Jackson will be joining you shortly, whether they volunteer like you did or not.
The scene flashes to black and white static as Beckys distinctive scream is heard. The scene then flashes back to the current scenario, with Becky looking into the camera.
Becky Balfour-Lawless: They say the ends justify the means, but this is the end. We are the means.
The camera pans back, capturing the makeshift ring in the middle of the warehouse and the Followers milling about. Becky looks over at the spectacle before smiling back at the camera.
Becky Balfour-Lawless: We built this house and we will never taste defeat here. Not now. Not ever. Let the pain begin...
Becky swipes her hand towards the camera and the feed cuts to darkness.

8:30 PM
A Zippo lighter sparks and the flicker of a flame pierces the darkness, illuminating the dark eyes and stoic features of Aria Cruz. She exhales and her eyes watch the flame dance from the force of her breath. When she speaks her voice is hollow and distant.
Aria Cruz: Dont do it Aria, dont be stupid. Dont walk into the lions den without backup. Dont agree to their rules. Dont face down those odds. You cant win.
Her eyes flick up to find the camera.
Aria Cruz: Cant I?
A smirks tugs at the corners of her mouth.
Aria Cruz: Aria Cruz is dead long live Aria Cruz. The girl who posted the knives and the Stitch gifs, she wasnt real. She was a figment conjured by Oswald Finch to protect a mentally ill young woman who he dragged across the border in hopes of reuniting her with her long lost sister. Ashleigh and I are sisters, that much is true. Both of us birthed by the same pair of assholes.
She sighs, her eyes scanning the darkness around her.
Aria Cruz: The rest were all lies. My age? A lie. My jealousy? A lie. My behavior? A fucking exhausting lie. The truth? Im not right. Sociopathic tendencies or some bullshit. Bottom line, I dont feel. I dont care. I dont experience things like you do. Emotions escape me. But pain? Pain doesnt. I experience pain, I also experience a rush when administering it. That look in opponents eyes as Im snuffing out their dreams. Is it fear? Is it regret? Is it sadness? I couldnt say but their expressions fascinate me. And tonight?
She chuckles.
Aria Cruz: Tonight the expression on the faces of Warren Corbett, The Society and their Followers will captivate me. I will cherish that look of tortured anguish when they realize this isnt going to go as they planned. Think about it. Do you actually believe I came here of my own free will and volition to rollover and die? Or is there an ulterior moment behind my visit? Warren Corbett made his presence felt at a time when it was not wanted. Warren Corbett made his presence felt and directly affected the outcome of a match involving Megan Rydell. Warren Corbett made his presence felt and in that moment sealed his fate.
Arias eyes focus on the camera once more, cold and determined.
Aria Cruz: You will remember this day Warren. You will remember what happens here tonight and you will ask yourself if what you did to Meg was worth it. I cant feel the disappointment or the heartbreak that she felt, those emotions are foreign to me so I cant promise to make you feel the same. But pain? Pain you will feel. But it wont be just Warren. The Followers mindless cattle herded into a warehouse by the words and promises of a foolish girl.
Her free hand moves towards the flame, hovering above and dipping through it as she watches it dance.
Aria Cruz: Like moths drawn to a flame you flock here in hopes of witnessing a show.
Arias eyes lock on the camera as her hand settles just above the flame.
Aria Cruz: Ill give you a spectacle and when its done Ill burn this place to the ground with you in it. Do you think your precious Becky will lead you to safety then? Or will she run for her life without ever looking back? Youre only valuable as a collective. Individually youre as worthless to her as the empty pockets of the tattered sweaters draped across your backs and once this place burns shell leave the mass grave behind and start anew. Why? Because there are always mindless Followers just waiting to be had. Meanwhile Ill be sitting pretty telling you I told you so while The Society stomps their feet, rubs the soot from their eyes and cries foul. Dont believe me? Youll see.
She snatches her hand over the flame and the scene cuts to darkness as only the sound of her voice remains.
Aria Cruz: I love to put on a show.

Warrens deep and demanding voice boomed into the audio before any visuals flickered to life. A small siren sounds in the background for just a few seconds, before we finally see Warren. Hes sitting down on a vacant sidewalk, leaning forward onto his knees.
Warren Corbett: Thats what Meg Rydell said to me. She dared me to bring the fight to her, to bring the fight to the Ascendancy. Besides, when you take into Megans use of brass knuckles to downright STEAL the win from #TheSociety at No Mans Land, I figured anything was fair game. We said we wouldnt forget, we werent going to let it go. We told you that your actions at No Mans Land would cost you. I made my intentions quite clear. Thats what really surprises me, that you four didnt even see it coming. The decision to make Megan pay with her PRIDE Championship possibility was an easy one. She deserves nothing more than to come so close to her goal, only to have me RIP it from her.
He held his open palm up into the air, before quickly closing it and yanking back with force.
Warren Corbett: Maybe you could have saved her Aria.
He paused, shrugging his shoulders and nodding his head up and down.
Warren Corbett: Maybe you could have been the deciding factor in whether or not one of your supposed best friends walked away with the belt. However, none of you were actually there for Meg, were you? None of you actually came to see her supposedly win. No, instead you were too busy giving her grief about something or another on twitter, Riley was deleting her twitter again, and Jackson was too busy wishing he was his brother to notice anything was really going on. You four call yourself a family but treat each other this way?
Warren rose an eyebrow, a look of disgust running across his face. He stretched his legs outward in front of him.
Warren Corbett: We would never even think to treat each other the way you four do. Attempting to bring each other down, play to one anothers weaknesses, and ultimately leaving one another high and dry when you would need each other the most. I think thats truly why were here in this situation, thats the real reason you felt so compelled to meet me here tonight. You feel like it was your fault at Emergence, and that you should have been there. Youre right, Aria, you should have. #TheSociety was there for me on my brightest day, and theyll be there for me again on the day that I shine even brighter. I never expect anything less from them. While we grow stronger, you only grow weaker.
He leaned back onto his knees again, pushing off and upwards, allowing him to stand.
Warren Corbett: And where is your family now? Talking shit about you on twitter because you chose to show up here tonight. Here you are, claiming to seek revenge for your sister while she speaks ill of you. Your trust and your faith is displaced, Aria. Deep down youve got no clue who you are, and neither do the other three in The Ascendancy. The only way I would ever cry foul against you, is if there was a reason too. Ive never once lied to you, or anyone for that matter. Ive only ever spoken the truth. I spoke it to Meg, and she didnt want to listen. What about you Aria, will you finally listen? What about when youre lying face first on the canvas, surrounded by Followers and people who HATE you? Then will you be listening? No? Well then Ill make you.

Inside the Warehouse
9:00 PM
The scene is the same as last time, multiple cameras, flaming barrels providing warmth and the sole source of light. The Informer stands in the middle of the ring wearing his long dark trench coat and with his fedora pulled down to conceal his face. Surrounding the ring are one hundred plus members of the Detroit community, all wearing #TheSociety t-shirts. The Informer begins shouting so that all can hear him.
The Informer: My name is The Informer and I am your official ring announcer for this one of a kind, event.
A referee wearing filthy yet official pinstripes slides under the bottom rope and into the ring.
The Informer: First, she comes to us from Las Vegas, Nevada by way of Mexico City, Mexico. She is a member of Ascendancy ARIA CRUZ!
Aria walks through the crowd wearing a pair of cargo pants and a sports bra, looking rather Lita-esque. She weaves through the Followers intentionally bumping and jostling them. While most maintain their trance-like focus and continue staring at the ring, some glance over at her, fearful of the promises she made about would happen to them here tonight. Once shes inside the ring Aria paces the perimeter, testing the ropes and waving away the dust that floats through the air each time she touches them. Finally she snatches the fedora from atop The Informers head and perches it atop her own. The Informer does not take this well but doesnt dare take it back by force. Instead her engages in a very animated temper tantrum before Aria relents and plops the hat back on his head with a little pat for good luck. Gathering himself and sneering underneath his breath The Informer once again raises his voice.
The Informer: And her opponent
He pauses for dramatic effect.
The Informer: Coming to us from St. Louis, Missouri by way of Oslo, Norway. He is the Liberty Pro Anarchy Champion, and member of #TheSociety WARREN CORBETT!
Warren appears in the crowd, and the Followers nearest to him are immediately grateful. He stops in his tracks, looking directly to Aria inside the ring with evil intentions written across his face. He holds up the Liberty Pro Anarchy Championship, and the Followers near to him reach up as well, all of them touching the gold plate. It lasts for a few seconds before he brings it back down, resting it on his shoulder. He continues towards the ring, handing his belt off to Becky before hoisting himself into the ring. He walks to the other side, Aria moves a bit to keep her distance, eyes always remaining locked on each other.
The Informer rolls out of the ring as Warren walks to middle and waits, expecting Aria to meet him there, only she doesnt. Instead she paces back and forth, her eyes fixed on Warren who shakes his head and signals to The Informer to give the signal.
The Informer: MATCH...START!
He shouts from the outside of the ring, officially beginning the contest.
WARREN CORBETT Vs. ARIA CRUZ
Warren immediately tries to close the distance but Aria uses her speed and quickness to stay one step ahead, peppering Warren with leg kicks, trying to chop down the big mans base. After a lunge and a miss by Warren, Aria is able to connect with a drop kick to his knee, hyperextending it. She immediately follows up with a spinning low kick to the back of that same knee, causing the knee to collapse under him. Wasting no time Aria gets a running start and follows up with a Shining Wizard. With Warren dazed Aria catapults off the ropes and plants him with a springboard DDT. Aria immediately hooks both of Warrens legs and rolls him up with all her weight pinning his shoulders to the mat. At the count of two Warren kicks out sending Aria flying across the ring and landing on her ass with a stunned expression.
Warren stands and yells out, smacking his chest as he motions to the stunned Aria to try again. Never one to back down from a challenge Aria sprints at him but whatever move she was going for is cut off when Warren catches her in mid air, presses her up over his head, hurls her straight up in the air and then walks out from under her while wiping his hands together. Aria lands with a resounding thud before slowly curling into the fetal position. Warren laughs, yelling at her to get up. The second shes on all fours Warren gets a running start and delivers a thunderous soccer kick to her ribs. The force of the kick sends Aria airborne once more, flipping her onto her back as she clutches her ribs.
Warren Corbett: You can feel pain, right?! Hows that feel?!
Aria gasps for breath and begins using the ropes to pull herself up. Warren scoffs before backing up. Then he gets a running start and launches himself towards her like a heat seeking missile. Arias eyes widen and at the last second she ducks, pulling the second rope down with her. Warren hurls between the ropes and torpedos into a sea of Followers who dont make any effort to move out of his way, remaining in their trance-like state right up until the point of impact. With a throng of Followers having broken his fall, Warren collects himself and stands only to find himself on the receiving end of a Tope Con Hilo. With Warren down Aria springs right back to her feet and outright slaps a Follower across the face, but still the Follower does not react. She shakes her head but when she turns to face Warren hes already back to his feet. He wraps his arms around her, picks her up off the ground and runs full speed towards the ring, ramming her back against apron. She screams out in pain but he doesnt release. Instead he readjusts and repeats the process, only this time he rams her into the ringpost before finally dropping her to the floor.
Inside the referee is at a count of six and the Followers begin to count along with him SEVEN EIGHT !!
Warren rolls into the ring to break the count. He rolls back outside and pulls Aria to her feet by her hair. Aria fights back, driving a series of elbows into Warrens midsection but all he does is laugh before knocking her right back to the floor with a vicious headbutt. The thud echoes through the warehouse as Aria holds her head and writhes in agony. Warren points towards the other members of #TheSociety before telling them to watch this. With no effort at all he presses Aria up over his head and tosses her over the top rope into the ring. #TheSociety members applaud as Warren shrugs it off, pulls himself onto the ring apron and lumbers over the top rope.
Reaching down Warren once again grabs Aria by the hair but hes met full on by an uppercut low blow that drives the air from his lungs, bugs out his eyes and doubles him over. Pulling Warren towards her by his ears Aria proceeds to bite down hard on the flesh of his cheek, drawing blood as she tears back, sending Warren stumbling to his knees. The referee is frantically trying to gain control but Aria ignores him, stepping back and hitting The Long Kiss Goodnight, a buzzsaw kick that connects with Warrens temple and sends him sprawling to the canvas. With blood trickling from the wound Becky Balfour-Lawless and the other members of #TheSociety are on the outside screaming at the referee. While they scream Aria walks over to their side of the ring and proceeds to spit a small chunk of Warrens flesh in their direction, landing it directly on Seth Lawless shoe. Seth looks down and it takes a moment to register before he screams out in disgust and shakes it from his shoe.
Aria points and laughs at Seth but as shes doing so Warren comes up behind her and drives an axe handle into her back that drops her to her knees. Again he pulls her up by her hair and hoists her high in the air before walking a few steps and absolutely planting her with a sitout powerbomb. #TheSociety members cheer and Warren takes a moment to wipe the blood from his face and look down at in disgust before finally laying out across Aria for the pin and a count of two and a half! Warren sits up stunned as Arias shoulder barely twitched up off the mat. The faces of #TheSociety members look stunned as well. Warren stands, shoves the referee backwards and has more than a few intimidating words for him regarding the speed of his count. The ref pleads that it was a fair count but Warren wholeheartedly disagrees.
In the meantime Aria has begun to stir, rolling to the far side of the ring and struggling to her knees. While all eyes are on Warren arguing with the referee Aria fishes into one of the pockets of her cargo pants and clutches something in her hand.
Warren shoves the referee aside and watches as Aria pulls herself to her feet, barely able to stand. Raising his arms over his head Warren calls out before exploding towards Aria, preparing to drop her with the same spear he used to dash Megan Rydells championship dreams only just as hes about to make contact Aria stares down the spare and unleashes a fireball right in his face. The usually apathetic followers gasp as Warren screams out in pain, his legs buckling as he collapses to the canvas, covering his face, writhing while yelling that he cant see.
The referee stands in stunned silence for a moment before calling for the bell and immediately disqualifying Aria.
WINNER: Warren Corbett via DQ
#TheSociety rushes the ring and Aria immediately ducks under the bottom rope. Running through the crowd of Followers she kicks over one flaming barrell after another, sending the smoldering debris careening across the floor. The scene outside the ring descends into utter chaos as the Followers have completely lost their composure, screaming and stampeding towards the exit, Arias threats of burning them all alive echoing in their heads.
Becky does her best to comfort Warren while pleading with Seth to hurry and call 911. Becky vows to stay with Warren in the ring, regardless of the chaos and burning around them. The remaining members try to chase after Aria but the crowd of Followers is too much for them to get through. Looking out over the chaos The Informer raises his voice...
The Informer: Your winner, by way of disqualification...WARREN...screw this, Im out of here!
Sirens can be heard in the background as the screen flashes to static now with gray, black and white fuzz appearing as the end credits roll.

Deep down youve got no clue who you are, and neither do the other three in The Ascendancy. The only way I would ever cry foul against you, is if there was a reason too. Inside the Warehouse
9:00 PM
The scene is the same as last time, multiple cameras, flaming barrels providing warmth and the sole source of light. The Informer stands in the middle of the ring wearing his long dark trench coat and with his fedora pulled down to conceal his face. Surrounding the ring are one hundred plus members of the Detroit community, all wearing #TheSociety t-shirts. The Informer begins shouting so that all can hear him.
The Informer: My name is The Informer and I am your official ring announcer for this one of a kind, event.
A referee wearing filthy yet official pinstripes slides under the bottom rope and into the ring.
The Informer: First, she comes to us from Las Vegas, Nevada by way of Mexico City, Mexico. She is a member of Ascendancy ARIA CRUZ!
Aria walks through the crowd wearing a pair of cargo pants and a sports bra, looking rather Lita-esque. She weaves through the Followers intentionally bumping and jostling them. While most maintain their trance-like focus and continue staring at the ring, some glance over at her, fearful of the promises she made about would happen to them here tonight. Once shes inside the ring Aria paces the perimeter, testing the ropes and waving away the dust that floats through the air each time she touches them. Finally she snatches the fedora from atop The Informers head and perches it atop her own. The Informer does not take this well but doesnt dare take it back by force. Instead her engages in a very animated temper tantrum before Aria relents and plops the hat back on his head with a little pat for good luck. Gathering himself and sneering underneath his breath The Informer once again raises his voice.
The Informer: And her opponent
He pauses for dramatic effect.
The Informer: Coming to us from St. Louis, Missouri by way of Oslo, Norway. He is the Liberty Pro Anarchy Champion, and member of #TheSociety WARREN CORBETT!
Warren appears in the crowd, and the Followers nearest to him are immediately grateful. He stops in his tracks, looking directly to Aria inside the ring with evil intentions written across his face. He holds up the Liberty Pro Anarchy Championship, and the Followers near to him reach up as well, all of them touching the gold plate. It lasts for a few seconds before he brings it back down, resting it on his shoulder. He continues towards the ring, handing his belt off to Becky before hoisting himself into the ring. He walks to the other side, Aria moves a bit to keep her distance, eyes always remaining locked on each other.
The Informer rolls out of the ring as Warren walks to middle and waits, expecting Aria to meet him there, only she doesnt. Instead she paces back and forth, her eyes fixed on Warren who shakes his head and signals to The Informer to give the signal.
The Informer: MATCH...START!
He shouts from the outside of the ring, officially beginning the contest.
WARREN CORBETT Vs. ARIA CRUZ
Warren immediately tries to close the distance but Aria uses her speed and quickness to stay one step ahead, peppering Warren with leg kicks, trying to chop down the big mans base. After a lunge and a miss by Warren, Aria is able to connect with a drop kick to his knee, hyperextending it. She immediately follows up with a spinning low kick to the back of that same knee, causing the knee to collapse under him. Wasting no time Aria gets a running start and follows up with a Shining Wizard. With Warren dazed Aria catapults off the ropes and plants him with a springboard DDT. Aria immediately hooks both of Warrens legs and rolls him up with all her weight pinning his shoulders to the mat. At the count of two Warren kicks out sending Aria flying across the ring and landing on her ass with a stunned expression.
Warren stands and yells out, smacking his chest as he motions to the stunned Aria to try again. Never one to back down from a challenge Aria sprints at him but whatever move she was going for is cut off when Warren catches her in mid air, presses her up over his head, hurls her straight up in the air and then walks out from under her while wiping his hands together. Aria lands with a resounding thud before slowly curling into the fetal position. Warren laughs, yelling at her to get up. The second shes on all fours Warren gets a running start and delivers a thunderous soccer kick to her ribs. The force of the kick sends Aria airborne once more, flipping her onto her back as she clutches her ribs.
Warren Corbett: You can feel pain, right?! Hows that feel?!
Aria gasps for breath and begins using the ropes to pull herself up. Warren scoffs before backing up. Then he gets a running start and launches himself towards her like a heat seeking missile. Arias eyes widen and at the last second she ducks, pulling the second rope down with her. Warren hurls between the ropes and torpedos into a sea of Followers who dont make any effort to move out of his way, remaining in their trance-like state right up until the point of impact. With a throng of Followers having broken his fall, Warren collects himself and stands only to find himself on the receiving end of a Tope Con Hilo. With Warren down Aria springs right back to her feet and outright slaps a Follower across the face, but still the Follower does not react. She shakes her head but when she turns to face Warren hes already back to his feet. He wraps his arms around her, picks her up off the ground and runs full speed towards the ring, ramming her back against apron. She screams out in pain but he doesnt release. Instead he readjusts and repeats the process, only this time he rams her into the ringpost before finally dropping her to the floor.
Inside the referee is at a count of six and the Followers begin to count along with him SEVEN EIGHT !!
Warren rolls into the ring to break the count. He rolls back outside and pulls Aria to her feet by her hair. Aria fights back, driving a series of elbows into Warrens midsection but all he does is laugh before knocking her right back to the floor with a vicious headbutt. The thud echoes through the warehouse as Aria holds her head and writhes in agony. Warren points towards the other members of #TheSociety before telling them to watch this. With no effort at all he presses Aria up over his head and tosses her over the top rope into the ring. #TheSociety members applaud as Warren shrugs it off, pulls himself onto the ring apron and lumbers over the top rope.
Reaching down Warren once again grabs Aria by the hair but hes met full on by an uppercut low blow that drives the air from his lungs, bugs out his eyes and doubles him over. Pulling Warren towards her by his ears Aria proceeds to bite down hard on the flesh of his cheek, drawing blood as she tears back, sending Warren stumbling to his knees. The referee is frantically trying to gain control but Aria ignores him, stepping back and hitting The Long Kiss Goodnight, a buzzsaw kick that connects with Warrens temple and sends him sprawling to the canvas. With blood trickling from the wound Becky Balfour-Lawless and the other members of #TheSociety are on the outside screaming at the referee. While they scream Aria walks over to their side of the ring and proceeds to spit a small chunk of Warrens flesh in their direction, landing it directly on Seth Lawless shoe. Seth looks down and it takes a moment to register before he screams out in disgust and shakes it from his shoe.
Aria points and laughs at Seth but as shes doing so Warren comes up behind her and drives an axe handle into her back that drops her to her knees. Again he pulls her up by her hair and hoists her high in the air before walking a few steps and absolutely planting her with a sitout powerbomb. #TheSociety members cheer and Warren takes a moment to wipe the blood from his face and look down at in disgust before finally laying out across Aria for the pin and a count of two and a half! Warren sits up stunned as Arias shoulder barely twitched up off the mat. The faces of #TheSociety members look stunned as well. Warren stands, shoves the referee backwards and has more than a few intimidating words for him regarding the speed of his count. The ref pleads that it was a fair count but Warren wholeheartedly disagrees.
In the meantime Aria has begun to stir, rolling to the far side of the ring and struggling to her knees. While all eyes are on Warren arguing with the referee Aria fishes into one of the pockets of her cargo pants and clutches something in her hand.
Warren shoves the referee aside and watches as Aria pulls herself to her feet, barely able to stand. Raising his arms over his head Warren calls out before exploding towards Aria, preparing to drop her with the same spear he used to dash Megan Rydells championship dreams only just as hes about to make contact Aria stares down the spare and unleashes a fireball right in his face. The usually apathetic followers gasp as Warren screams out in pain, his legs buckling as he collapses to the canvas, covering his face, writhing while yelling that he cant see.
The referee stands in stunned silence for a moment before calling for the bell and immediately disqualifying Aria.
WINNER: Warren Corbett via DQ
#TheSociety rushes the ring and Aria immediately ducks under the bottom rope. Running through the crowd of Followers she kicks over one flaming barrell after another, sending the smoldering debris careening across the floor. The scene outside the ring descends into utter chaos as the Followers have completely lost their composure, screaming and stampeding towards the exit, Arias threats of burning them all alive echoing in their heads.
Becky does her best to comfort Warren while pleading with Seth to hurry and call 911. Becky vows to stay with Warren in the ring, regardless of the chaos and burning around them. The remaining members try to chase after Aria but the crowd of Followers is too much for them to get through. Looking out over the chaos The Informer raises his voice...
The Informer: Your winner, by way of disqualification...WARREN...screw this, Im out of here!
Sirens can be heard in the background as the screen flashes to static now with gray, black and white fuzz appearing as the end credits roll.
