OPENING SEGMENT
We open up with Cassandra Mason already in the ring. Sitting on a black steel folding chair. She has an opening match in a matter of moments. The crowd boos her just a little bit. It appears something is on her mind. She brings the microphone to her lips.
Cassandra Mason:
“Can’t believe it has been two years...”
The now brunette Cassandra Mason sighs, composing herself before she continues.
Cassandra Mason:
“Two years ago I met Malaya in the dying days of Women’s Wrestling Revolution. We didn’t know it was dying at that moment. The closure of the company happened in an instant. I saw a woman who was lost, she associated with a bunch of toxic people who were only holding her back. My love. My support broke her away from those vicious people. From that day, we became inseparable. Our personal lives have been great. Professionally...”
Cassandra shrugs her shoulders. Shaking her head she continues.
Cassandra Mason:
“... the past two years have been a disaster. There is no way to sugar coat this. I started as her manager. Failed. A year ago she followed me here to Liberty. The past eleven months has produced failure, after failure, after failure. Don’t get me wrong; I don’t blame Malaya. Not at all. You won’t hear me bad mouth her. No. The person I am going to blame is MYSELF. I was too weak to not separate business and personal.”
“Not every personal relationship translates to professional success. Some are lucky. Others, not so much. For two years I thought being the life of the party would stop the bleeding. All we needed was each other, as long as we were joined at the hip, everything would be fine. I was wrong. Results don’t lie. It's not a matter of me losing patience. This is ME not accepting reality sooner. It’s a damn shame it took a draft to force me to realize, professionally, I am better off with us on different brands.”
The hatred for Cassandra Mason intensifies. How can she be so callous towards a woman she professed to love? The youngest Mason sibling allows the New York faithful to get their venom out of their system. She pushes forward.
Cassandra Mason:
“Need I remind you, I was 2-0 before she promised me, Cassie, we are going to become tag team champions. She failed to keep that promise. And that’s ok. I still love her, always will. Professional wrestling, hell, the business world isn’t about being cute and lovey dovey and being the life of the goddamn party. I’m a Mason. We’re winners. Starting tonight in this Anarchy Rules match, you get to see CASSANDRA, not Cassie Mason, the winner. The party girl is dead. The girl who would have done everything to make someone elses dreams come true is a forgone conclusion. Unless you benefit me I have no use for you. 2023 I return to my winning ways... The Mason Way. The party is over for the rest of you. I no longer accept anyone getting one up over me.”
Cassandra Mason tosses the mic away. She continues to sit waiting for the match to begin.

MATCH ONE: ANARCHY RULEZ
Cassandra Mason vs Dylan Shephard
Cassandra Mason vs Dylan Shephard
RECAP This match was one with two people that were looking to prove themselves. Dylan was looking to get back in the race for the Anarchy Championship and Cassandra, formerly of Life of the Party, is looking to show how serious she is now. These two beat the ever loving hell out of each other. Dylan slammed Cassandra on legos throughout the match but she refused to stay down, despite eventually wearing a crimson mask on her face. Dylan eventually strapped a trash can lid around his chest and went for a big dive from the top but Mason rolled out of the way. She then nailed him with Ruthless Aggression [Repeated shoot to the chest of a kneeling opponent followed by a roundhouse to the opponent's head], completely knocking him out. She then hit the top ropes and despite Dylan having that lid on his chest, she leaped off and nailed The Party Stopper [Phoenix Splash.], the move hurting both competitors but Mason made the pin. The referee counted to three and Cassandra let out a primal scream. Cassie Mason is no more. This is now Cassandra Mason. A match is lit in almost pure darkness, allowing a small amount of light to dance on the face of Warren Corbett.
Warren Corbett: Liberty Pro, did you all enjoy my championship defense at Festivus? Did you all like what you saw when I gave Sanderson exactly what he deserved? He was never any closer to taking #TheSociety Heavyweight Championship from me than any of these others have been. None of you can stand up to the prestige this championship carries, and the more contenders I put in the dirt, the more you'll all come to see that.
Without warning, several flames appeared on torches on the left and right side of him.
Warren Corbett: Some of you may look at this situation and think, why?
As the rest of the torches light, Evie is seen standing just behind him. A smirk upon her face.
Warren Corbett: There's only one thing that people manage to get right lately, and that's the fact that without Becky, I've been a little lost. Keep in mind that inside the ring, I'm still murder, and I'm still chaos! However, Evie represents a more...organized chaos. I've always been a force, but I'll admit it's a help to have a direction to move towards, and be apart of something that makes sense.
He nods his head, adjusting the gold plate upon his shoulder.
Warren Corbett: Make no mistake that I am still a former Anarchy Champion, former Tag Team Champion, former Liberty Champion, and your current #TheSociety Heavyweight Champion! There are very few on this roster that can stand up to me! Another triple threat for me is like a duck to water. I'm used to competition like this, and you two are going to learn you're just more pawns in my game. Liberty is and always will be mine. The sooner you see that, the better.
We fade on #TheSociety Heavyweight Championship.

“Damn, it’s good to be home!”
Angelina Fantastica is wrapping her hands in white tape, already dressed in her gear and clearly ready to hit the ring.
“For those of y’all who don’t know me? Just wait, cause you’re gonna see what I’m all about tonight against Avery Smith. Got nothing against the girl, but I wanna make my hometown debut a successful one. I’m New York born and raised, Staten Island strong, ride or die for the Empire State. Don’t matter that I live out in LA now - New York City is home to me, and always will be.”
She bites the tape to rip it, finishing off one hand before starting on the other, flashing a grin to the camera.
“I grew up right over the Verrazano Bridge so calling myself the Shaolin Stunna ain’t just a cute nickname I gave myself. I been around the world, but coming to Liberty is the first time I’m gonna be working steady in New York and I cannot wait. Gonna be the first time my family can make it to every single one of my shows, too. Got a bunch of my nieces and nephews in the crowd tonight, along with my mom and my grandparents. My abuelo, he used to wrestle back in Puerto Rico as Diego Fantastico - in case you were wondering where the name came from. It’s because of him that I decided to try this out and now here I am seven years later, finally hitting the goals that I set out with at the beginning.”
Angelina sighs heavily, running a hand back through her dark hair before throwing it into a quick braid to keep it out of her face.
“One of those goals? To be a top champion. I know I’m the new kid on the block and I know I gotta work my way up the ladder, and that’s fine. But I’m gonna tell y’all right now, one day? You’re gonna see Angelina Fantastica as the Liberty Champion. Tonight is just the first step on that journey.”
Finishing off the tape on her second wrist, Angelina picks up a pink and white New York Yankees baseball cap and puts it on, turning it backwards and taking a minute to check her fit in the mirror before heading out into the hallway.

Donatella Martinelli vs Brea Lombardi
Donatella Martinelli vs Brea Lombardi
RECAP Dontella attacked Brea from behind before the bell rang, trying to get a quick advantage. This helped her control the early going of the match but the fans were clearly against her. Brea couldn’t garner any offense as Martinelli was using every dirty trick in the book. She soon tried for her Tagged running knee while Brea was leaning against the bottom turnbuckle but she rolled out of the way! She then rolled Donatella up and grabbed the tights! She got the three count and the win! Donatella was furious as Brea looked at her and laughed before telling her that’s what she gets for playing dirty, she got it right back! Backstage, Melissa Reeves and Miki are standing by to address the camera. Neither looks to be in a particularly great mood.
Melissa: What can I say that hasn’t been said a thousand times already? What’s the point anymore?
She shrugs.
Melissa: The cheaters prosper once more. Idealist idiots here will continue their “we’ll get em in the end” narrative, while we see anarchy rule. In any other sport it would be a scandal, but here it’s simply allowed.
She sighs.
Melissa: Now my vengeance is denied by a political move, too. One may think that a certain group is being protected.
Miki shakes her head in the background.
Melissa: Tonight we trade in one group of dipshits for another, and frankly? We’re not in the mood for their stupidity.
A small smirk grows over Miki’s face.
Melissa: We were annoyed before, now we’re angry. This place is a farce, but 2023 is about to be a new narrative around here, one where we lead the way. That starts tonight, right here in Brooklyn.
She doesn’t bother to say goodbye, simply walking away instead. Miki lingers for a second, blows a kiss to the camera, then follows.

Sgt. Mason: “You’ve been busy lately.”
Chloe Collins continues scrolling through her tablet, as though she hadn’t even heard Jackal. Mason opens her mouth to repeat herself, but Chloe cuts her off..
Chloe Collins: “Yes, it’s been a little hectic.”
Sgt. Mason: “More business coming in?”

Sgt. Mason: “Did you-”
Chloe returns her attention to her tablet.
Sgt. Mason: “This was one of your pep talks again, wasn’t it?”
Chloe Collins: “Not all of it. General Collins is still visiting.”
Jackal shakes her head.
Chloe Collins: “Did it help?”
Sgt. Mason: “It did, actually… I’ve defeated two former world champions less than a year into my wrestling career. Tonight I fight two more. You know, I’m so focused on not being the weak link, that…”

KENDRICK KROSS: Tonight Gavin, I’ll kick your ass in the middle of that ring, I’ll be keeping my Anarchy Championship and you’ll realize that you made a huge mistake in accepting this match and pissing me off.
Not only am I going to kick your ass but Jack better be watching as well. Because I’ll do the exact same thing to him that I am going to do to you tonight. I’ll make you realize that I’m not just some midcarder like you say I am.
I am the best champion in Liberty right now and I show it. I hope you’re ready for a beat down Grimes, because that’s exactly what you’re going to get. I’ll beat the respect I deserve into you tonight. One way or the other, you aren’t getting this championship. I guarantee it.
With that Kendrick pushes away the camera and walks off.

BACKSTAGE
He was alone, sitting outside of the Callaghan Warehouse, with his thoughts. Chris Sanderson didn’t want to be around anyone right now, not even his wife. He was in quite a mood, a mood he hasn’t had for years now.
Chris Sanderson: Amazing, isn’t it? I’m a talentless hack if you listen to a growing majority and yet I’m in the main event tonight. In that match against some talented wrestlers. And Leanne Jones. Two can play that dumbass game, Jones.
Sanderson shook his head in anger.
Chris Sanderson: So what makes me not talented? I took time off to let my body heal after a match where my brother nearly killed me? I took time off to be with my wife when she gave birth to our daughter, to help her out? What in the fuck is wrong with doing what’s best for me?
He hawks one as we hear it hit pavement.
Chris Sanderson: Over 10 years I’ve been in this sport. Said it a lot. Mean it every single time. Ten years and I’ve seen and heard everything. Less than three months into my career. Man takes a few liberties with me in the ring. Said I had to pay my dues. Someone gets me into an arm bar for real, tries to break my elbow into pieces. I wrestle through it for years. Take time off to finally get it fixed, I’m a chickenshit for taking the time off.
There was a lot of sadness mixed with his rage as he spoke.
Chris Sanderson: Why is it that everyone in Liberty, or Empire for that matter, get to run around doing whatever they want but the minute I step foot here, or anywhere, I’m looked at as a fucking pariah? What did I do to anyone in this place to deserve it? I get that other place I work, but here in Liberty? This is a whole new ballgame. Did I leave for a month or two because someone in my family needed help? Yep, you bet, but I told everyone I was going to be back. I came back and suddenly I’m that guy.
A slight pause to collect his thoughts.
Chris Sanderson: If I wasn’t a great wrestler why would I be in this position tonight? If I wasn’t a great wrestler why would I still have a job here? If I wasn’t a great wrestler why did Gavin Grimes accept my challenge months ago? This has been the same story I’ve heard, seen written about and experienced for the last 10 years.
Another small pause.
Chris Sanderson: People have already told me to leave Liberty. Go back to the hole I came out of. Give my account back to someone else on Twitter. Tell me this or that. For all the words, all the bravado most of you do, I’m not leaving unless I want to. Hate me all you want. Make little wisecracks about me not being talented. I’m not a super rookie. I’m not a beloved dipshit blonde with fucking hashtags to get attention. I’m not anything but me, now. After 10 years of trying to give everyone respect like I was told, nah, I’m done with it. Shit, TJ, I might just leave you on your own tonight. If I’m a hack, I’m just a liability to him, right?
Chris stands up, and instead of going back inside the warehouse, he walks away from the building with a weird half smirk on his face.

MATCH FIVE: TRIPLE THREAT
Emily Carter vs Warren Corbett vs Jackal
Emily Carter vs Warren Corbett vs Jackal
RECAP This was easily one of the matches of the night and it showed. Warren started the match dominating his small opponents, which is odd to say, because Jackal usually overpowers most fighters but Corbett is just on another level as a monster. After a few minutes, it looks like Warren is going to end the match when he nails Emily with Battle Ax! He pinned but Jackal grabbed him up and nailed The Regiment! She pinned now too but Carter broke it up! She then locked Jackal in Carter Clutch (Rolling Cross Armbar)!! Jackal had nowhere to go but she showed her amazing strength when she lifted Carter up and powerbombed her! Warren brought in his Society Heavyweight Championship into the mix with it being no DQ but Jackal ducked it and threw him out of the ring. She then pinned Emily and got the three count and the win. What a HUGE win for Jackal over two former heavyweight champions. WINNER Jackal METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 10:3 FINISHING MOVE Powerbomb |
BACKSTAGE
Liberation continues as we transition backstage. To be specific, we fade to TJ Techniques. The shot of The Funky Technician gets cheers from the crowd watching him up on the Tron. TJ is seen posted up in front of the Liberation backdrop. He's dressed to compete for tonight's main event, where he and Chris Sanderson will be taking on Leanne Jones and Markus FK. Something is different about TJ, though. This time, he's got a brand new accessory: the Liberty Championship.
TJ Techniques: It look good, don't it. The sight of TJ Techniques with a championship over his shoulder, it just look right, you know? Me holdin' a championship here in Liberty? It was somethin' that was just meant to be. Now it took a long time for me to get back to this point. It was a long, hard road gettin' back to the top. It wasn't a straight shot. I had to deal with some bullshit along the way. But after the likes of Blyss Lockhart and Lily Callaghan got dealt with, I was free and clear to set my sites on what really mattered.
TJ nods down to the championship.
TJ Techniques: It was time to get back on that grind and that's exactly what I did. Nothin' was handed to me. Nothin' was givin' to me on a silver platter. I earned this bitch right here.
The crowd cheers TJ on as he slaps the center plate of the champion.
TJ Techniques: I knew I was gon' have to fight like hell to wrestle this championship away from Antoinette. At the end of the day, that's exactly what I did. Shoutout to Ant, though, man. You know me. I always give credit where it's due, so let me once again give Antoinette her flowers. She did the damn thing as Liberty Champion. Not once, but twice. She's a damn good talent and was a damn good champion. She went out there and set the bar for this championship. It's now my job to not only reach that bar, but eventually set it even higher. And that's exactly what I plan on doin'. You know, it's a shame that you ended up bein' picked via lottery to go over to Empire. You definitely brought an energy to Liberty that will be missed. Not only that, I looked forward to us battlin' it out over this championship. Someday down the road, our paths are gon' meet again. You can bet on that. Until then, take care of yourself and make it happen over north of the border.
Even with Antoinette over on Empire, the Ant Nation makes sure to chant Antoinette's name as loud as they can.
TJ Techniques: Now, second order of business. I gotta give a quick shoutout and welcome Angelina Fantastica to Liberty. It's always good to see another New Yorker around. But it's even better when it's another Shaolin representer like yourself. I got all the confidence in the world that you gon' show up, show out and put it down for the home team. Some people around here may not know just how good you are. But somethin' tells me you gon' have no problem catchin' them up to speed real quick. Best of luck to you.
TJ offers up a salute before continuing.
TJ Techniques: Last but not least, the third and most important order of business for tonight. The main event! On one side of that ring, you got myself. The Funky Technician. The Meaning of Dope. Your new Liberty Champion. On the other side of the ring, you got one of the strongest wrestlers goin' today in either Liberty or Empire. Of course, I'm talkin' about Markus FK's swole self. Now Markus, me and you have done this twice before. A couple of weeks back, you saw me take out Ant by accident. You wanted to protect your lady so naturally, you jumped on me. Understood. No harm, no foul. Now, when we ran that back inside of an actual match, we all know how that turned out for you, now don't we? Damn right we do. You was starin' up at the lights while the ref was countin' that one, two, three for yours truly. Since that time, you successfully defended your Gotham Championship at Festivus III. You got that confidence back. You feelin' good. So now you think it's time to get that win back against The Funky Technician. But if you think you gon' even the score between us out there tonight, you best snap out that dream, bro. Because it ain't happenin'. It ain't because you're not good. You got a championship. Everybody with a workin' pair of eyes can see the talent. I mean shit, wrestling is in your DNA. But the thing is, Markus, and I mean this with all due respect... when it comes to just me and you, you didn't lose that match last time because you wasn't talented. It was because you wasn't talented enough to beat The Funky Technician. Now I'm no fool. There's gon' come a time when you have my number and you beat me inside that ring. But tonight? It ain't gon' be your night.
TJ offers up a shrug before continuing.
TJ Techniques: This time, though, you do have help in the form of Leanne Jones. Now Leanne, your reputation precedes you. Nobody knows how to make an enemy in short order quite like you. With all that aside, I'll once again give credit where credit is due. You got some talent. You know how to taken a beatin' in that ring and dish it right back. Now, with this bein' the first show post-Lottery, you wanna make a big splash. You wanna set your sights on the big fish. Well there ain't no bigger fish in Liberty than Kool G Grap. This would definitely be a statement for you. Goin' out there, main event of the first Liberation of 2023 and beatin' the new Liberty Champion? On top of that, you get to put the boots to my partner for tonight, a man that you clearly don't like? Hmm, that's a hell of a thought. But by the end of the night, that's all it's gon' be: a thought.
TJ Techniques: Of course, I ain't Superman. I can't go out there and do this alone. See, that's where you come, Chris Sanderson. Now Chris, we don't know each other. We've never really interacted before. We gotta go out there and make the most of a...
TJ gesticulates with his hands.
TJ Techniques: I wouldn't call this a bad situation. But we don't exactly got tag team chemistry with each other like that. You feel what I'm sayin'? So I look at it like this, Chris. I don't need you to go out there tonight and play the hero. We don't need the theatrics. We don't need anything extra, okay? All I need you to do is stay in the pocket, do what you do best, and not mess this up. Because I damn sure don't want to start off the new year in Liberty with an L. I don't know you, but I know enough to know that you don't want to start this post-Lottery era of Liberty with an L, either. Tonight ain't about followin' my lead. It ain't about doin' what I tell you. It's about us bein' on the same page. I've won tag team titles with multiple partners before. You were a tag champ once upon a time. If we can go out there, take cues from our past experience and do what we do best, then we can make somethin' shake out there. Now let's go out there, do the damn thing and make sure that at the end of the night, it's our arms bein' raised in victory. I mean really, do you want Leanne gettin' one over on you? Didn't think so...

BACKSTAGE
The scene takes us backstage where we find Kaia Grainger, she is sat along some crates, a dark dress covered by a faux leather jacket. She seems exceptionally comfortable considering that it’s show time and she wears a smirk on her face one that most wouldn’t be familiar with coming from her.
It appears she is waiting for someone to appear and surely enough just as she glances off into the distance she sees who she is looking for approaching.
Kaia Grainger: “Well, well, well, Miss Rayven Hardy. Still your Noir Champion, you promised you’d see me again and here we are.”
Kaia gingerly kips up with her wrists before sliding off the crates and while her tone is even, it holds not a singular ounce of kindness like it did once before. Instead she stares at Rayven for a very long pause and then continues speaking.
Kaia Grainger: “I earnestly hate that Asher gets to be the one to beat you tonight, but what can I say, maybe he will get a chair thrown in his face too. We’ll call it the chairfecta for you. Has a ring to it.”
A nod was given as a silly smirk came to what face. Knowing she was simply trying to poke the bear so to speak.
Rayven inhales a deep breath and puffs her chest out. She was holding back, at least for now. She was dressed in her pink and black ring gear with a pink ‘Little Miss Noir’ t-shirt on over top of her gear.
Finally, after about thirty seconds of the two women staring each other down, Rayven begins to speak.
Rayven Hardy: It’s funny you mention chairs because the whole world saw you go from the light bringer to a sore loser just like that. You could have simply asked me for a rematch and I would have given you one, but you just had to attack me AFTER the match, didn’t you?”
Rayven steps closer to Kaia, as both women were nearly nose to nose now.
Rayven Hardy: I had so much respect for you, but it’s gone now. You know as good as I do, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, but you couldn’t take it this time, could you? You put everything on the line by challenging for MY title, and when you walked away empty handed, it ate you up.
It’s like this, Kaia, I didn’t bring the chair into the ring, but I’m not an idiot. In a 3 way match, anything can happen. When you were laid out, I took the pin. Anyone would have. I’m sorry that bothers you, but, you know, maybe next time be a little more aware of your surroundings.
Kaia balls her fist up, it looks like she wants to fight, but Rayven looks down at her hands and holds her own up.
Rayven Hardy: Hey hey hey. My fight isn’t with you tonight, it’s with your boyfriend. But I’m looking at you, dead in the eyes, woman to woman and asking…will you stay at the commentary table and not involve yourself in our match? If you’re going to attack, or cheat, at least be up front about it.
Hardy relaxes her stance a little. Truth be told, she had so much respect for Kaia as an athlete, but she didn’t trust her now. Now after the chair shot at Festivus.
While balling up her fist Kaia let out a little bit of a laugh. Going from one extreme to the other seemed to be her thing lately.
Kaia Grainger: “there’s that spirit, the ‘Ray did nothing wrong so why are you coming for her’ bit. Don’t worry I’ll let you play it, it’s believable truly.”
She nodded emphatically for emphasis.
Kaia Grainger: “I’m still the Lightbringer however Rayven and I simply wanted the people to see the truth about you, it’s okay for you to do it to me not once but twice, but you get comeuppance and suddenly I’m the bad guy, in my eyes, chick”
She stepped closer, narrowing the space between them.
Kaia Grainger: “I still owe you one.”
Her eyes narrowed now.
Kaia Grainger: “I’m a consummate professional though and Asher has never needed my help to win, thus he shouldn’t need it to tonight, but as for me staying at commentary I guess we’ll see. Call it an extra challenge for you to assess.”
She smiled brightly now leaving that aura of mystique hanging in the air was she enjoying taunting Rayven? It was hard to tell.
Ray decides to take a step back. She had a match tonight, and as much as she was up for another fight with Kaia, how was neither the time or place.
Rayven Hardy: You know, you’re just like Dexter. Trying to paint me out to be some villain, calling into question my morals and making me out to be a narcissist who never puts herself to blame, but the reality is, my hands are clean here. I didn’t bring the chair into the match. I didn’t use the chair either, I simply took a pinfall that was in place. You would have done the same, don’t even deny it. Would you have preferred I hit a Skittle Star Press after and do more, unnecessary damage?
Kaia was quiet but was lingering her eyes on Hardy.
Rayven Hardy: If you choose to involve yourself tonight, you’ll prove that Asher DOES need your help, but as far as another challenge? I always rise to the occasion. Bring your light and me?
Rayven lifts her pink shirt to show the beautiful Noir championship strapped around her waist. She grins before rubbing the title belt.
Rayven Hardy: I’ll just bring this. Now, if you’ll excuse me.
Ray tries to peacefully step by Kaia, to head down the hallway.
Kaia lets her go past before offering a little laugh at the end. Merely waving her off leaving to question just what might happen next.

MATCH SIX: ANARCHY CHAMPIONSHIP
Gavin Grimes vs Kendrick Kross
Gavin Grimes vs Kendrick Kross
RECAP Gavin Grimes had mostly healed up from his brutal match with Jack Graves earlier in the month and he clearly had some pep in his step. Kendrick is a double champion right now though and he was on the top of his career. The match was back and forth for a bit, with Kross having the best showing of his career, some could argue. But things took a turn when Kross swung a chair wildly at Grimes and Gavin ducked it and countered with a Pele kick that sent the chair right into Kendrick’s face. Grimes grabbed him and BANG! The Crowning!!! Before Gavin could pin though, something would occur to cause all of the fans to gasp in shock. A sledgehammer was swung and it cracked right into Gavin’s lowerback! Grimes tumbled to the ground to the horror of the crowd. Standing over him? Chris Sanderson with a blank look in his eyes. The fans wanted to boo but they were too far into shock. Chris then lifted the sledgehammer high in the air and he slammed it over Gavin’s back and the head of the sledgehammer slammed down with such force it went flying off and out of the ring and Grimes screamed out in agony. Chris wasn’t done though and he locked in Omega Finale - Hangman’s Clutch, yanking Gavin’s head up in the air, making his injured back torque even more. The pain was so excruciating that Gavin passed out. The referee told Chris that was enough but it was like Chris couldn’t hear a thing. Just white noise with a blank stare. He then let go of Gavin finally and looked down at his work with that same blank stare. He exited the ring. Kendrick saw some of it happen as he recovered and he pinned Gavin when Chris left. WINNER Kendrick Kross METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 13:11 FINISHING MOVE Omega Finale POST MATCH During all of these events happening? A hooded figure was fighting off security in the crowd, trying to jump over the guardrail. But with the shocking events happening in the ring? Nobody had noticed. Kendrick was feeling himself and he was trash talking Gavin, saying that he was going to finish the job Sanderson started. He nailed his Coup De Gras right on Gavin’s back, causing further damage. He then tore apart the recently reassembled Spanish announce table, it’s always the spanish announce table! He brought Gavin, who was unconscious still, outside and put him on the table, stomach first so that he could keep targeting his back. But the man outside the barricade? He FINALLY knocked out the security members holding him back and when he hopped it, one pulled his hood down and it was Lukas York, Gavin Grimes’ childhood and best friend who was recently drafted to Empire. He was the one desperately trying to save his friend and it was security holding him back this entire time! Before Kendrick could do anything more to Gavin, Lukas, with a look of anger and guilt in his eyes for not making it time, managed to stop Kendrick and tackle him to the ground. Lukas laid into Kross over and over. Every time Kendrick would throw Lukas off, he would be right back on him. Eventually, Lukas nailed a knee right into Kendrick’s head before grabbing him by the head and yelling out that this was for Gavin. He slammed Kross down with The Crowning! Kross was out. Lukas then went to check on Gavin but he wasn’t responding. He screamed for medical help, which FINALLY came down to the ring. Jade Night was at the top of the entrance ramp, looking on in shock, with Kiely Harper being held back in her arms. Making it obvious that Kiely had tried to make her way down to the ring but Jade had stopped her for her own safety. Gavin was put on a stretcher with a neck brace on. They started to wheel him out with the crowd cheering his name, hoping for any sign of movement. Just before they got to the end of the ramp? Gavin’s hand raised in the air with a thumbs up but it didn’t last long and his hand collapsed back down. |
BACKSTAGE
We cut backstage to Asher Miles pacing back and forth. He looked clearly annoyed.
Asher Miles: Rayven Hardy… You must pay for your transgressions. You’ve been able to get away with using people up for your own benefit but yet you’re too blind to see it. You say that you earned everything that you’ve received? You don’t know what it’s like to earn shit. You don’t know what it’s like to be left in the dark in the desert with no light to guide you out. But me? I do.
He nodded.
Asher Miles: I had to walk in the dark alone and find my way out until I found the light. The light that turned me into the Antares. That light? It was Kaia Grainger.
He pointed at the camera.
Asher Miles: Someone that is the literal opposite of you. Someone who has also worked for everything she’s gotten. Someone who, despite the deck being stacked against her? Kept pushing through and kept breaking walls down. Her and I are the same in that sense. But you? You’re nothing but a spoiled, petulant bitch! We’ve all seen it over the years. You tried to use your dad in Valiant and when he had enough of you and traded you to another group, you know, the one led by Edward Cross? What did you do? You started sleeping with the guy, even though he was your dad’s rival. What a fuckin’ joke.
Asher shook his head.
Asher Miles: Let’s not mention how you’ve used that Hardy last name for opportunities. Even your first match ever was a heavyweight championship match. You call yourself the San Francisco Miracle but how was it a miracle? You were set up for success from the start. You were trained by Robb Hardy, Chris Night and Xavier Young at Nightfall. You worked alongside the likes of Gavin Grimes. You were set up to succeed from the get. And yet, you still act like it’s you against the world. No, Rayven, you have been given the world but you still demand more. If you aren’t given all of the attention? You throw a fit. Isn’t that why you dropped Grimes? That shit lasted a week. I wonder why? But even then, the ones that give you all the attention ain’t enough either.
Asher shrugged.
Asher Miles: Jack Graves risked his life, jumping off of a bridge to save yours but you still dumped him. After he gave you everything but he didn’t bend to your will, to your standards. You wanted him to change FOR YOU, not for himself. You’re a selfish piece of shit, who uses everyone who walks into her life. And for that? You have a date with the Avenger tonight. You will pay. Bet on that.
Asher walks out of the frame and the scene cuts away.

BACKSTAGE
Cameras cut to the medical office, revealing Ricky Rodriguez in the Medical Room as he was in the middle of getting checked out by a member of the staff. Visibly in pain following that heinous attack from Marisol Vilaro and The Socialites. The usually bright and cheery Ricky was anything but. Practically seething, his chest rose and fell steadily as the medic made sure everything was good with the examination.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'I have worked..so hard to get back in that ring as quickly as I could. And you three..you three..fuckin..spoiled..self-centered..delusional fucks ruined what was suppose to be my big return. And why? WHY?!'
Jerking away from the medic examining him, Ricky jumped off of that table in a fit.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'What did I ever do wrong? No matter how shitty I fuckin felt bout it..I did what I was told. I followed every direction. I was always there..at the fuckin forefront of this Vilaro System bullshit and this is what I get for it?'
At this point, Ricky was bordering on irate. Turning to see a buncha glass jars with like cotton balls and popsicle sticks before sweeping it all off of the surface of that counter.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'I believed..everythin you were in my ear bout and I ignored everyone who dared say otherwise. But now..now I see that I shoulda listened to them a long ass time ago. I shoulda knew better..but hindsight.'
With the medic keeping his distance, Ricky continued to face that counter. His hands resting on the surface of it, he leaned against it, his head hanging low. After taking a couple moments to collect himself, Ricky turned back to face the camera.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'I can't change the past..but I can fight for a better future..and that's exactly what Ima do..startin with each one of you empty..vapid..fuckin snobs.'
Ricky turned his head, spitting off to the side. He snatched up his shirt off of the examination table only to storm out of that office, slamming the door behind him. And with that, the scene cut away.

HEADLINE: SINGLES
Asher Miles vs Rayven Hardy w/Kaia Grainger on commentary
Asher Miles vs Rayven Hardy w/Kaia Grainger on commentary
RECAP The Noir Champion was already in the ring, by the time Asher Miles music hits, he and his girlfriend slowly made their way to the ring with the fans giving off a mixed bag of emotions unsure of how to respond to either Asher or Kaia after recent events. Kaia takes her leave while the cameras focus on Asher who climbs into the ring while Rayven shadow boxes in the corner now wanting to lose her enthusiasm for tonight’s contest. Sasha Taylor: “Hey, its rare we’re joined at the table these days, but we have a special guest on commentary here tonight thanks to this Headliner. Asher Miles the Avenger taking on the Noir Champion Rayven Hardy.” Kaia Grainger: “Allegedly. Though you should say it correctly, The fraudulent holder of the Noir Championship who has kept it prisoner for far too long, clearly.” You could hear the sneer in Kaia’s voice, but Sasha seemed to pay it no mind while Samuel kept quiet for the moment letting the two ladies bicker, just before the bell rang. Samuel Griffin: “Woah, look at that!” He uttered as the bell sounded and Rayven took off, launching herself towards Asher, catching the Avenger by surprise and backing him into the corner. A bit of aggression she had left to work off after her previous words with Kaia. Rayven went on to show Asher that the five moves of doom he’d commented on were not apparently so as she flipped him into a monkey flip, allowing him a moment to get back to his feet just before hitting a running bulldog for a quick cover. Samuel Griffin: “Can’t deny Rayven is looking good here.” Sasha Taylor: “She sure is! Constantly she makes note that she wants to take the Noir division to new heights and she’s certainly caught Asher off guard.” Kaia Grainger: “If you don’t know anything about Asher’s capabilities you would call this catching him off guard. She barely captured a one count.” You could hear the annoyance in Kaia’s voice still but the true action was going on in the ring, Rayven had mounted herself on top of Asher for a few punches, but clearly she knew Striking wasn’t her biggest game especially against someone Asher’s size so she backed up hoping to hit a standing shooting star press, only to find Asher moving out of the way as she landed flat on her torso. It was clear she had the wind knocked out of her, but Asher was still recovering too as they both stood back to their feet this time going back and forth before Asher took advantage grappling the way and taking Rayven down with a smooth tiger suplex, he didn’t give Ray time to breath pulling her back up and whipping her into the ropes as she came barreling back to him the Antares hit a kid to the midsection and rocked her with a sitout jawbreaker. Kaia Grainger: “I see silence speaks loudly at the commentary table.” Her voice now filled with glee, but the match was hardly over, as Asher went for a cover and only received barely a two. They both exchanged moves back and forth for several more moments of the exchange, Rayven almost hit her Skittles Star Press, but Asher managed to duck out of the way, Asher almost got caught using the ropes to choke Rayven with after a running knee to the head, in the corner. Ray was able to garner herself some room when Asher was setting up for his red star that Rayven just narrowly avoided on the mat below, the two competitors laying there for several moments as the fans began to chant Rayven’s name loudly attempting to cheer her on. It was to some avail also as you could see the energy slowly coming back to her and she used the ropes to climb to her feet. Climbing all the way to the top hoping once more to nail that Skittle Stars Press, only instead she found herself being shoved from the turnbuckle by Kaia. Samuel Griffin: “What the? When the hell did she get out of her seat.” Sasha Taylor: “Kaia what are you doing? Stay out of this!” It was too late then as Asher had made a recovery and saw the sadistic grin that met his girlfriend’s eyes as she climbed on the apron, Asher now using his ‘injuries’ to warrant the referees attention just as Rayven made it back to her feet just to be hit with Kaia’s Starshine. The fans booed loudly as Kaia slid her way out of the ring, and Asher made a miraculous recovery all of a sudden, to nail his Red Star on the defenseless Rayven. Samuel Griffin: “What a way to end an otherwise outrageous match. Kaia should’ve never gotten involved.” Sasha Taylor: “It seems whatever issue she has with Rayven wasn’t solved earlier tonight” WINNER Asher Miles METHOD Pinfall MATCH LENGTH 13:33 FINISHING MOVE Red Star POST MATCH After the match Asher’s music is heard playing, Rayven has yet to stir after taking both finishing moves, but the music is cut short abruptly, as Kaia is seen grabbing a microphone and making her way back into the ring. She smiles now looking at the downed Rayven and the referee stands in between the two of them. Kaia Grainger: “Poor Rayven, eating the brunt of all of your mistakes in one night. It must be torturous for you.” There was a soft giggle that followed but it almost sounded stir crazy truly. Kaia Grainger: “I suppose that’s easy to do when once again you think you control what is happening here. You see we can have all the fun little chats backstage where you whine annoyingly until the sun rises, but that doesn’t change the facts Rayven, YOU nor anyone else in this building speak for me. You do not tell me what it is I am going to do, how I am going to do it, when, where, and so on. You do not tell me what my motivations are nor do you think for even a moment that you depict what my actions are for or what I would do at the end of a match, because clearly its already been discerned that you are not the best judge when it comes to matches and their endings.” Kaia let a little hair flip fly as the fans began to boo and she rolled her eyes. Kaia Grainger: “Oh shut the hell up you miscreants, because nobody fucking asked you. I am speaking!” this ruptured and even further amount of boos and instead of being upset or even bothered by them she seemed to laugh and Asher joined her as the camera flipped to him standing at ring side. Kaia Grainger: “You see Ray, when I learned that you were an actress, one of the best at playing victim when merely you’re just pulling a Beyonce and going for your Oscar moment. . . I’m afraid I’m the one here that has to remind you, that you are no Dream Girl, it was never about your Noir Championship my dear. I’ve already shown the world that I can be a champion of the highest caliber, I no longer have that as a necessity to prove and quite frankly why should I lift something off of you that you’ve so clearly crumbled into the ground. This championship that is supposedly so elevated by your presence and yet each defense is just riddled with nothing but disdain. The only thing people are being entertained by is Rayven getting her ass handed to her each and every time she comes to the ring.” Another giant set of boos came from the crowd and Kaia shrugged her shoulder. Kaia Grainger: “Truth hurts ballroom, whether you like to hear it or not, just like the fact that New York Pizza actually sucks it’s a statement, get over it.” Again a boisterous amount of boos echo the arena before Kaia shakes her head. Kaia Grainger: “I do want to say thank you though Rayven, because tonight you won yet another prize, You were the last person to see the Starshine, because your girl has a whole new bag of tricks that no one is ready for yet. Consider the move officially retired, and after I’m through with you, well I hope you’ve been paying your IRA.” There was a vindictive laugh as Kaia dropped the mic and the fans were erupting in anger at her words, as Rayven began to stir in the ring the referee handed her, her Noir Championship which she hugged tightly, breathing heavily still. |
BACKSTAGE
We cut backstage to Lukas York being dragged away by security as an ambulance was leaving the scene.
Lukas York: Jade! Please! Don’t do this!
Jade shook her head.
Jade Night: I’m sorry Lukas, but after what Chris did to Gavin earlier? I can’t keep you in the building for the integrity of the main event.
Lukas York: That’s bullshit, Jade! Look what he did to Gavin earlier!
Jade shrugged.
Jade Night: As sick as it was? It was in an Anarchy Championship match. What do you want me to do here?
Jade pointed at the guards.
Jade Night: Get him out, now!
Lukas York: WHAT THE FUCK!!!
Lukas was dragged off as Aubrey Williams, with a worried look on her face, approaching Jade Night.
Aubrey Williams: Jade… What we saw happen to Gavin earlier was nothing short of horrific but the world is wondering… Did he have anything to say before they took him out to the hospital just now?
Jade sighed and shook her head.
Jade Night: I really don’t want to do this right now, Aubrey.
Aubrey pleaded.
Aubrey Williams: Jade, please! We’re all worried about him, me included.
Jade sighed again.
Jade Night: You want to know what he said?
Aubrey nodded.
Jade Night: First of all? He’s going to be out for a bit but he was moving fine once he gained his whereabouts. He’s resilient.
Aubrey let out a sigh of relief.
Aubrey Williams: That’s great news! So, what did he say?
Jade looked at the camera, a serious look on her face
Jade Night: Actually, it’s not my story to tell. Gavin will say what he needs to say when he has the power to do so. For now? Let’s not light the flame anymore than we should.

MAIN EVENT: TAG
Leanne Jones & Markus FK vs Chris Sanderson & TJ Techniques
Leanne Jones & Markus FK vs Chris Sanderson & TJ Techniques
RECAP Leanne, Markus and TJ were all waiting in the ring, waiting for Chris Sanderson but he made no entrance. Was he going to show? The referee finally decided to call for the bell. TJ was on his own but he came out flying, showing off why he was the Liberty Champion as he took down Leanne and then Markus with a flurry of quick, high flying maneuvers. Eventually, Sanderson made his way down to the ring, slowly but surely. He got onto the apron and stood there. The match was going back and forth and soon TJ made the tag into Chris, who got in the ring and went one on one with Lan Jones. The two had a back and forth battle at breakneck speed. Chris showed why he was a prodigy and Lan showed why she was one of the rising stars in wrestling today. The clash was excellent but soon, Lan tagged in Markus as Chris backed to his corner and TJ tagged himself in and Chris looked peeved. The Liberty and Gotham Champions went to war with each other. Markus would hit a power move and take the lead but TJ would always have an answer to get back in it. Eventually, a Markus clothesline attempt missed and hit the referee. With the referee down and TJ taking Markus down with a hurricanrana driver, it looked like Techniques and Sanderson might get this one. But Chris grabbed whatever championship he could from ringside and it was the Gotham Championship. He slid into the ring and he knocked out an unsuspecting TJ Techniques!? But why!? Chris threw the championship to the side and kicked TJ for good measure before exiting the ring. Markus recovered and hit TJ with Go FK Yourself and pinned. He got the three count for the win but why did Chris do that? What’s the deal? Markus stood up and behind him was Leanne Jones, standing with the Gotham Championship in her hand. Markus grabs the belt as Lan holds it toward him and he turns away with it but when he’s stopped in his tracks as Leanne doesn’t let it go. The two stare each other down when Leanne says something to Markus. The two jaw back and forth with the crowd going nuts, not knowing what might happen next. Lan finally lets go of the belt and the two stare each other down as the show ends with that being the final shot.
