Rayven Hardy: In just a few minutes, I'll be stepping into the ring with Asher Miles one more time.
Rayven was already dressed in her orange and black ring gear, her Noir championship proudly around her waist.
Rayven Hardy: Our last match, I can't lie, I was excited. It was my first time wrestling him, and when you've been doing this as long as I have, there aren't many times you get a 'first', you know? So, I was looking forward to it, but that changed a little bit before we actually made it into the ring. Not only was he tweeting some BS, but then he got on camera right before our match, and he made some pretty bold claims. Claim number one: I used the Hardy name to get ahead. Even said I had a championship match in my first ever match, BECAUSE of the last name. But there's a big problem there, because I didn't get handed the championship match, no, you know what I did?
She looks directly into the camera, clearly fired up at this point.
Rayven Hardy: I stepped up to answer an open challenge. A challenge that anyone could have answered. When nobody else chose to answer that challenge, I did, in my debut, because I believed in myself. I wasn't booked to compete for that title, I wasn't promoted as RAYVEN HARDY, living off her family name, no, I saw an opportunity, and I stepped up and it paid off because I won the match, and the championship, through my own hard work. Taking something I'm proud of, and flipping it to try and make me look bad? That's pretty low, but maybe you shouldn't pick something that is so easily disputed, makes you look silly. You also brought up Edward Cross, Gavin Grimes, AND Jack Graves to try and bring to light the validity of the fact of 'I use people'. Really? Tell me how I used any of them? With Edward, we had a child and I missed a year of in ring work, so professionally, 'using him' benefitted me none. Gavin? We've been friends forever, and our short relationship didn't benefit me at all, and Jack? I'm not going to go back over all of that because believe it or not, we're cool now. At least cordial. I've apologized for my part in what happened, but, again, I didn't use him for anything. At the end of the day, we broke up because as much as Jack cared, and I've never denied that, he is a bit unhinged, he'll admit that. Having a young son, I didn't think it was the best environment for him to grow up around.
So here we are, Asher, all of your little mind games? They didn't work. You didn't surprise me, having Kaia get involved. I called it, I saw it coming, and now we have a match where nobody can interfere. I look at it two ways. One, you get a chance to prove that I'm wrong: That you can beat me on your own. Or two, and this is how I expect, you're going to try something else. Have her mess with the sound system, flash a video, dim the lights, something to distract me, and then you'll try to capitalize again, but, I'm expecting that.
Rayven adjusts her elbow pads, looking at the camera with a smirk.
Rayven Hardy: I've been doing this for a few years, Ash, and I know that I can compete with anyone on any given night. You probably can too, but you're choosing to live in Kaia's shadow and allow her goals to become your own. SHE wants my Noir championship, so she has you doing her dirty work, trying to soften me up, but Rayven Hardy? I'm unbreakable. You got a win last show, congrats. You did some damage, I was laid up for a few days. But guess what? I'm back, and this time? I'm ready to show the world why I'm one of the best wrestlers in the entire world. Think you can hang with me? Prove it: On your own.
With that, Hardy heads towards the ring. Ready to open the show against Asher Miles!

Rayven Hardy vs Asher Miles
RECAP The one on one match between Asher Miles and Rayven Hardy was close. It was clear that Asher had Rayven studied and he had a counter for everything that she threw at him. Asher almost won when he nailed Antares (Punt Kick), but Rayven got her foot on the rope! Asher didn’t let it deter him, he was methodical in his approach, as always. But Rayven was as resilient as ever. Asher went for another Antares but Rayven dodged it and nailed Sleeperhold Drop (Leads to Skittle Star press)! She then hit the top ropes and BANG! Skittle Star Press (Shooting Star Press)!!! She pinned and got the three count and the win! She then looked at the camera and told Kaia Grainger she was next! We cut backstage with Cassandra Mason standing outside a locker room door. No smiles. No sign of exuberance. Different that the party girl we once knew is portraying this business woman-like mentality. By the looks of it, she has settled into her new normal.
Cassandra Mason:
“I could stand here and brag about winning last week. No point. Cassandra Mason is a winner, I was from the day I was born. I will continue to be until the day I die. Avery Smith knows this first hand. Early last year, July 4th to be exact, when Life of the Party was a thing, I scored a victory over her and Brea. Back then she was dealing with Cassie Mason, the woman who was happy to be here. I’m Cassandra Mason now. The only thing that makes me happy is winning. I will continue my winning ways. All there is to it.”
And with that, Cassandra Mason storms off. The scene fades.

BACKSTAGE
Earlier in the day, we find Angelina Fantastica wrapped up in a winter coat, walking along the shoreline below Staten Island’s Fort Wadsworth, in the shadow of the Verrazzano Bridge. She looks up at the bridge with a smile on her face.
Angelina: Ain’t no place like home, right?
She exhales deeply, shoving her hands in her pockets to keep them warm.
Angelina: Forty degrees outside and I’m fuckin’ freezing, you believe this? I been out on the West Coast for way too long, almost forgot what a New York winter feels like. Guess I’m gonna have to get used to it, since I’m off to a great start here in Liberty.
The wind picks up, blowing her dark hair all around her face as she bends down and picks a stone up off the rocky beach.
Angelina: I’ll give it to Avery, the girl did her very best, and I respect that. Just like I respect that McKena Hardy will be giving me all she’s got later on tonight. She’s just starting out in her career, and it’s looking really good for her. Her potential is incredible - even if she didn’t have the wrestling pedigree she does, that girl was meant to be a star.
She tosses the stone sideways into the waves, watching it skip a couple of times before disappearing into Raritan Bay.
Angelina: Buuuuuuuut unfortunately for McKena, tonight’s match is not gonna go her way. I know she’s going to be a challenge but I believe that I am more than equal to that challenge. As much as I love going out there and giving the fans a show, I’m also a woman on a mission. I spent the first six years of my career struggling for success, but I’ve turned that around recently and I’m heading straight for the top - the Liberty Championship. Avery was the first step, McKena is the next. And I ain’t stopping until I earn my way into the top title picture and feel the weight of that belt on my shoulder.
Just then, Angelina’s phone alarm goes off and she pulls it out of her pocket to shut it off.
Angelina: Better start heading out now if I wanna beat traffic. See y’all out there.

Backstage, Melissa Reeves and Miki are standing by to address the camera. Neither looks to be in a particularly great mood.
Melissa: What can I say that hasn’t been said a thousand times already? What’s the point anymore?
She shrugs.
Melissa: The cheaters prosper once more. Idealist idiots here will continue their “we’ll get em in the end” narrative, while we see anarchy rule. In any other sport it would be a scandal, but here it’s simply allowed.
She sighs.
Melissa: Now my vengeance is denied by a political move, too. One may think that a certain group is being protected.
Miki shakes her head in the background.
Melissa: Tonight we trade in one group of dipshits for another, and frankly? We’re not in the mood for their stupidity.
A small smirk grows over Miki’s face.
Melissa: We were annoyed before, now we’re angry. This place is a farce, but 2023 is about to be a new narrative around here, one where we lead the way. That starts tonight, right here in Brooklyn.
She doesn’t bother to say goodbye, simply walking away instead. Miki lingers for a second, blows a kiss to the camera, then follows.

Electricity filled the air, radiating from that sold out crowd. It had been a great show so far and it showed in their energy. That energy increased ten-fold as Carrie Underwood and Ludacris's The Champion hit the sound system. All eyes fell to the entry way as Ricky Rodriguez emerged from behind those black velvet curtains. Throwing his arms outwards, he yelled out at the tops of his lungs, the crowd cheering that much louder, fueling the young man's energy.
Damn near bouncing around with that music, Ricky showed to be in better spirits than he had in a long time. Pointing down at the ring, he started to dance his way down the ramp. He made it a point to slap hands with as many of the fans as he could, showing them just as much support as they've shown him since his return.
Reaching the bottom of the walkway, he stared up at that ring, a bright smile dominating his features. Lunging forward, Ricky slid up under the bottom set of ropes before popping up to a standing position. Walking to the lower right corner, he was handed a microphone from a ring attendant before walking to the middle of the ring. That music dying down, Ricky waited for the audience to bring it down a lilbit before speaking up.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'Now..Iunno if it's the three Jello cups I had before I came out here but holy shit I'm hyped up for tonight. How bout y'all? Y'all feelin it tonight!?'
And just like that, the crowd's excitement popped once again. Those cheers were almost deafening causing Ricky's smile to grow that much larger. With his free hand, he reached up, running his hand through his hair.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'Now..I know whatcha thinkin..Ricky! Why you so excited? Ain't you bouta be in a three on one Handicap Match in justa couple minutes? And you're right to think that. There's no doubt in my mind that I am not gonna end this on a positive note..but that's okay.
It's okay cause..no matter what they do to me..I won't stop. They knock me down, I get up again. Marisol wants to act like this is some kinda punishment but let's be real here. The kinda guy I am? The kinda friends I have? I coulda had this ring surrounded by some of the best to ever step foot in a ring.
But that's not what I'm gonna do. Instead..it's just me..against all three of y'all. I'm choosin to let you tryta prove your point Mari..cause when it comes down to it? You're gonna prove my point. This never needed to get this far. You can't stand to let someone just..walk away. We did it to Grayson. You did it to Cliff. We did it to Kenzie.'
Lowering that microphone, Ricky took in a deep breath, clearly remorseful for those incidents he mentioned. A look of seriousness began to grow across his face as he raised his microphone back up.
Ricky Rodriguez: 'It's like you said..I know you better than any of the others you got followin you. I was there for you when you needed it the most. I met your parents. I've stayed with you in your home in Barcelona. I know you better than you know yourself, Marisol. And I know this isn't you. I know you're better than this.
But this is the hand we've been dealt and now..Ima play it to the best of my ability. No matter what happens..no matter how many times y'all knock me down..I won't stop fightin. I won't stop givin a damn. And I won't stop doin the right thing. Now get y'all's asses down here and let's get this goin.'
Tossing that microphone to the side, Ricky grabbed the bottom of his shirt only to pull it up and over his head, tossing it out to the crowd as he awaited The Inspired.

A series of shots from last week's match with the Inspired vs. The Lads, Melissa Reeves, and Miki ended up in Victory for the team of the Lads, another loss for the Inspired, during which the video showed Ricky being conflicted about the tactics being used by the females of the Inspired. However, he was the one pinned after The lads once again got in his head, then after the match, Ricky Rodriguez is attacked by Marisol Vilaro, hitting him with a chair before showing the beat him down as Marisol kicks him out of the Inspired. The video package ends with the Inspired standing over the fallen Ricky Rodriguez as it cuts, and we see Marisol sitting alone, looking directly into the camera in an undisclosed location that looks like a place fitting for a group called the Inspired. With pictures of motivational quotes, The Vilaro System ads are all over, and several quotes from Marisol herself, such as Become a better you. Marisol is dressed in an Inspired t-shirt, yoga pants, and matching Nikes. The true Luminaire soon speaks in a direct tone.
Marisol Vilaro: Why Marisol why? It's all I have heard. Why the Soclaites and I kicked Ricky Rodriguez out? After all, when it came to the Inspired, Ricky was our leader, according to all of you; Ricky was The Inspired of you. It was some time coming, wasn’t it? I couldn’t let you walk away from our mission!
Marisol said a hint of rage was coming over as she spoke in the same direct tone, as videos flashed of the early days with Kenzie, Ricky, and Marisol working together, beating down Scotty Latimer. As the video then returns to Marisol.
Marisol Vilaro: See, when we came in, we were supposed to create a movement that would capture the hearts and minds of everyone here. But we had a weakness, and you saw that as well.
A video showing Scotty costing the Inspired matches thanks to Kenzie and Ricky yelling at Kenzie, with Marisol at the time trying to play peacekeeper, flashes to the scene of their meeting with Marisol hugging Kenzie before Ricky attacks her and Kenzie then kicked out of the group.
Marisol Vilaro: Then things were starting to head our way; we beat Reaper together we became closer than anyone else in this company. Ricky, you were there for me in my most trying times! You went to my home in Barcelona; you met my family, things no one else has, but then something happened, you changed! It started when we were facing The Lads, and you let them get into your head.
A video shows Ricky and Mari’s closeness and bond with them hanging outside the arena and Ricky and Marisol's victory over the monster Reaper together. Then switches to The Lads vs. Inspired, with the lads always seeming to get the better of them and getting inside Ricky’s head.
Marisol Vilaro: So we left Liberty, and joined forces with two women I know very well, Danielle and Vanessa Page, in Canada, we had a new start, a chance of a new beginning, and things did improve to an extent; I beat a former Valiant Champion in the center of the very ring in Carli Davis. But then we lost against her and the Girls of Summer, but that wasn’t even the worst thing that happened; you had walked out on us before! More importantly, you WALKED OUT ON ME AND MY FRIENDSHIP!
Marisol’s anger takes over entirely, her face turning red as it shows Ricky Rodriguez walking out on the girls, and the look on Marisol’s face is that of shock at the time. As the camera then cuts back to the Fitness Queen.
Marisol Vilaro: Not only that you walk out on this, but what we put our time, energy, and effort into you walking out on those who need us the most, and for what? Because you didn’t have the stomach to continue, didn’t have the stomach to face adversity, to have the stomach to do what is necessary! I tried to forgive you for that, but then we signed to Liberty a chance to change things for the better, and you came out you were not the Ricky I knew; you were not the Ricky that was closer to me than anyone else! That night, I knew what had to be done after that match; that is why I had to do what I needed. A tough choice again had to be made. They say tough love is the ultimate sign of love, and that was what you needed and still need. So, we kicked you out, and now the Inspired is in my hands, the hands of a woman who created a fitness empire, in the hands of a woman who makes an impact everywhere she goes, in the hand of a true visionary.
Marisol said, as she pointed to something next to her that said to get real help, you have to hit rock bottom.
Marisol Vilaro: You know those words, Ricky? It's true at our lowest, we can begin the work to be better. The Inspired has hit that point, but now it will be better under Mari's guidance. Someone needs my help more than this group or anyone else, and you know who that person is?
Marisol points to the screen and says in an almost sadistic but creepily loving tone simultaneously.
Marisol Vilaro: You do, and when you receive that help, everything will be set right, and you will be better than ever. This process will be long and painful, but you will be better for it! It starts with this three-on-one handicap match where we give you yet another lesson, and after that, all you need to do is entrust in Mari and be Inspired!
Marisol smiles brightly in a sick fashion toward the camera as the screen turns back with the message Be Inspired flashing on the screen before flashing other messages around it, then once again stopping on the hashtag #BeInspired #JoinUs.

RECORDED EARLIER
A bit of pre-recorded footage revealed McKena Hardy as she was arriving at the arena. Not a care in the world was shown to anyone she passed as she made her way inside. Once there, she navigated those backstage halls, headed straight for her locker room with her black duffel bag in hand.
Opening up that door, she walked in, the lights flickering on as she flipped the switch. As soon as that room was illuminated, McKena was startled, to say the least, once she saw just what was in her locker room. Gabriel Laroux sat on a black leather chair, relaxing against the back of it with his arms crossed at his chest.
Almost instantly, McKena tossed her bag to the side, moving forward as she was clearly more than ready to fight. She stopped in place once Gabriel uncrossed his arms and raised a hand up. Getting up out of that chair, he focused his gaze on her, wearing that stoic expression.
Gabriel Laroux: 'If I wanted to take you out..I very well could have. Easily at that.'
McKena scowled at him, not giving a direct response but still shooting him a question, her words dripping with venom.
McKena Hardy: 'What the fuck do you want?'
It was Gabriel's turn not to give a direct response, basically ignoring what she asked.
Gabriel Laroux: 'You're reckless. You make it seem like you have everything all planned out and set to a T. But you're reactionary. Headstrong. You make some of the most stupid decisions I've ever seen. And most of all? You don't think about how your actions affect others..'
Clearly McKena wanted to argue against every word Gabriel said, but she chose to remain quiet while he talked.
Gabriel Laroux: 'You couldn't be happy just settling things on your own. Instead, you made the choice to get them involved. And because of that? They're in a situation they don't need to be in because you wanted to play games.'
For a moment, it almost looked as if McKena was pleased with herself. Gabriel picked up on this and was unable to resist laughing out.
Gabriel Laroux: 'You are exactly like Xavier. I look at you and I see no difference between the two of you.'
Showing absolutely no fear, McKena closed that distance between the two of them, getting right up in Gabriel's face..as best as she could, at least.
McKena Hardy: 'You have no idea what you're talking about.'
Gabriel Laroux: 'Maybe not..but what I do know?'
Walking around McKena, Gabriel headed towards that door. Once he got to it, he pushed it open only to stop in the doorway.
Gabriel Laroux: 'He'll be back soon. Don't involve anyone else.'
Not even giving her a chance to respond, Gabriel walked out of her locker room, letting the door close behind him. As soon as the door closed, McKenna was irate. She walked up to that couch before kneeling down to grab the bottom of it, flipping it over with a yell at the tops of her lungs. She looked to that door, her chest rising and falling rapidly as the scene cut away.

“Here I was thinking this go around would feature something a little different”
Came the words of “the Lightbringer” Kaia Grainger, dressed in what seemed to have become her newest craze of all black, though there was a touch of sparkle from her beaded tights and necklace and earrings that were an obvious KaiaJewels plug.
She stood hand at her hip while she wore a smirk that still was unreadable to its intentions, though she seemed in pretty high spirits.
Kaia Grainger: “but then he had to speak. I think we’ve all seen the card this week, we know the line up, we know exactly “who” it is I’m speaking of, former Extreme Champion, Dylan Shepherd. Still hoping to somehow work his way back up the ranks to another championship opportunity. A different opponent, same M.O. I’m not sure what it is about people wanting to get ahead of themselves like the outcome of facing me is just going to do you so many favors, but I suppose you’re still used to the Kaia who would wish them luck, try her best, and It be whatever the light saw fit.”
She shook her head.
Kaia Grainger: “but no, that isn’t how this works anymore Dylan I’m not some girl who is going to snake your championship from you at the last second just because you’re cocky and belligerent. I’m the one whose going to best you in the ring and show you why overlooking me is a mistake. Tonight, I bring the light in a way you’ve never seen before, because I have a message of my one to transcend to the ever growing roster of Liberty Pro, and that message is that you can’t deny the light it’s doing. It’s everywhere, it’s in all things, and the opportunities you’ve been blessed with up until now are ending, even if it is for one week only.”
She began to tap her nails against the fabric of her dress allowing her words to fully sink in to the audience.
Kaia Grainger: “Because I do have a surprise in store. Whether it be for you, or whomever is the next that I choose. Control is in my favor now and you best believe I’m using it to my advantage, and the next time you face Kaia Grainger you won’t be asking what opportunities afford you after you face me, because you’ll know getting past me is the task you should’ve had your eyes on.”
With that she begins to leave the scene signaling off.

BACKSTAGE
Cutting backstage, we found the LPW’s backstage interviewer Tim Anderson standing next to the Gotham Champion, Markus Frei. The Swiss Sensation was already dressed in his ring gear, a red and white singlet matching the colors of his home country flag, and carrying the title on his shoulder.
Tim Anderson: Markus, back at Festivus you shocked the world and ran the whole gauntlet to retain your Gotham Championship with a stellar performance. How does it feel to be the most dominant champion in Liberty today?
Markus FK: I didn’t shock a soul. Everyone with a brain knew as soon as I walked in there that I’d walk right back out with my title. I might be dominant, but where’s the competition?
Tim nodded to his statement. The Interviewer then continued with his next question.
Tim Anderson: You beat five opponents in one night, that’s hella impressive. If Jade came to you tonight and gave you the opportunity to pick your next opponent, who would you like to face? Is there anyone you think deserves a shot at your title?
Markus FK: I don’t have anyone in mind Tim, to tell you the truth. I’m the champ, I don’t need to call people out. As far as I’m concerned anyone can get it, anytime they want. All I want is someone to step up to the goddamn plate and show me something. There’s been a lotta bullshit, a lotta talk, and not once has it been backed up. Not once.
Tim Anderson: Well, back to tonight’s match then. You find yourself teaming with Leanne Jones for the second week in a row, after your controversial win last week. This time, you'll be up against none other than The Lads, the Liberty tag team champions. Brianna seemed to hint that something might happen between you and Lan, and given her interest over your title and her track record, that doesn't seem exactly a farfetched hypothesis. Xavier Laroux, Skylynn Reed and Aphrodite Noel are just a few names she didn't hesitate to turn on to achieve her goals. Do you think she might try something similar with you as well?
Markus laughs at the suggestion, adjusting the belt on his shoulder for a moment, shaking his head.
Markus FK: I’m not concerned. You know the difference between all of those people and me? They can’t tear someone in half with their bare fucking hands. If she wants to betray me? That’s a death sentence.
Leanne Jones: Well, first of all I'd like to correct you, Tim.
The Valiant Chaos Champion enters the scene. How long had she been there?
Leanne Jones: From where I stand, they turned on me, betraying what we believed in. But this is not the time nor the place to talk about that.
She walks around the Swiss man, standing in front of him. Her eyes landed on the title on his shoulder.
Leanne Jones: Bit of a hyperbole you used there, Markus, but I reckon you could do a lot of damage, indeed. There's not many people as big and powerful as you in this business, and while I met and survived one or two of them, I can't say I walked out of that encounter unscathed. But that's a bridge I'll cross when I get there, which is not tonight. So save that aggression for The Lads, I'm not your enemy. Yet.
The big man smirked, adjusting his championship belt on his shoulder as if to draw further attention to it, his very being a picture of pure intensity.
Markus FK: I already said it, any place, any time. Em and Bri? They’re two of the best this company has to offer, possibly two of the best this company has ever had to offer, but all the same I’m aiming to knock their heads off their goddamn shoulders later tonight. I don’t discriminate. You just let me know when it’s your turn. See you round, partner.
He pats Leanne on the back, hard enough to move her forward just a tad as he walks by her, stomping his way out of the shot. Lan turns to watch him leave, nodding to herself before she exits in the opposite direction, leaving Tim to throw the action back elsewhere.

She’s dressed casually in a checkered black and white jacket over a light blue cropped tank and a pair of blue jeans with white sneakers. Her wavy blonde hair is pushed back by a pair of fashionable sunglasses and her face is expertly made up, accentuating her painted red lips. Clearly, she’s not here to wrestle…
Or is she?

As the screen shows a preview of the upcoming match, she checks her watch.
??: Speaking of, I should go sign that contract now. Time doesn’t wait even for this future world champion.
She looks up at the camera and addresses it directly for the first time.
??: Which way is it to Jade’s office? That way?
There’s an inaudible response off-camera and she nods before walking off in the given direction. The camera follows after her and catches the words “TRISH MAYHEM” and “FUTURE LEGEND” across the back of her jacket.

RECAP This match was high paced and seemed like a fair fight between the two but eventually, the more experienced Angelina Fantastica was getting one over on McKena. She was clearly getting frustrated. Was it the match or was something else on McKena’s mind? The Gabe thing? Nevertheless, after Angelina hit McKena with Break It Down - Headstand headscissors takedown, followed by a dab, McKena rolled out of the ring and she had enough. She threw her hands in the air and walked off. Angelina demanded she come back but Hardy paid no mind, she walked up the ramp and out of the view of the fans, getting counted out. RINGSIDE
Liberation continues as The Funky Technician, TJ Techniques, is holding court in the center of the ring.
TJ Techniques: Chris, Chris, Chris, Chris, Chris...
Just the mention of Sanderson's first name is met with resounding boos from the crowd.
TJ Techniques: Your ass had one job and one job only in that main event last week. THAT? What you did? That wasn't it, my boy. Not. One. Bit...
The Funky Technician can't help but to shake his head. A "sucker shit" chant breaks out from one section of the crowd. TJ points out to them and nods in agreement. He continues.
TJ Techniques: Now I get it. No really, I do. I'm TJ Techniques. I'm the Liberty Champion. I'm the top dog in Liberty Pro and when you bring Empire into the mix, I'm still one of the best. You wanted to make a statement. You wanted a shot at that champ. If that was the case, all you had to do as ask. All you had to do was hit me up at any point backstage and go, "PSST, Teej. Y-y-you think I could get a shot at that?" That's all you had to do and you know what? I would've given it to you. It didn't matter when. It didn't matter where. If you wanted it, I would've given you a damn shot. But that ain't what do you, did you? Nah, far from it. You couldn't respect me as a champion and ask for a shot. You couldn't be a man, look me in my eyes, and tell me that you were comin' for it. Instead... instead, you had to go and do the sucker shit. Instead, you had to go the bitch route, take a championship belt that you had no right holdin' and bash me in the head with it.
Another round of boos are belted out for Sanderson.
TJ Techniques: What you've done, Chris, is make one of the biggest mistakes of your life. We're barely a month into 2023 and you're already fuckin' up. See, now you've taken this from bein' professional to bein' personal. Callin' me out? Callin' your shot? That would have gotten my respect. It would've drawn my attention. But what you did was draw my ire. Big difference.
TJ rubs his chin before continuing his rant.
TJ Techniques: When I tell people to Peep the Technique, I don't just say it because it's a cool little hashtag. It's a clue for dumbasses like yourself to smarten the fuck up. If you had did your Googles, if you had done the knowledge, then you would know that many here, and elsewhere, have gotten stomped out for crossin' me. Tonight, in the main event? It's only gonna be a preview of what's in store for you. You better do the smart thing and leave Kendrick high and dry... because if you're dumb enough to walk through that curtain and think that I won't get a piece of you, then you've got another thing comin'.
Almost right on cue as TJ finished speaking, the sounds of “Recreant” by Will Ramos & Nik Nocturnal fill the warehouse. Out from the back steps Chris Sanderson. He stayed near the entrance and let his music play to mostly annoy everyone for a few moments. Eventually…
Chris Sanderson: Cut the damn music!
That drew out boos as Chris glared into the ring at TJ Techniques.
Chris Sanderson: Don’t go out there and be a hero. Those were your words in some form last week, TJ. And it struck a chord with me. I used to call myself The Youngest Hero back in 2013. Thought it was catchy. Merch made up and the whole nine yards, but it struck a chord with me. You know what else struck a chord with me? Telling me not to mess it up. TJ… wasn’t a fan of that.
He scratches his head as he keeps his gaze on the Liberty Champion.
Chris Sanderson: So I did what I had to do. You can talk about me going up to you like a beggar with the little cup out asking for a title shot. But the thing is? I’m not asking anymore, TJ. I’ve done this whole shaking everyone’s hand when I get into the locker room, trying to help out when I can, and I’m just done with it. You know what all that routine got me in the end, TJ? Nothing.
Sanderson looks at the crowd who are currently calling him a bitch among other insults. He smirks and puts his attention back to TJ.
Chris Sanderson: For so long I wanted to be a top guy. It was my goal. Be a top guy. Top of the mountain because I thought it’d make me happy in this sport, but you know what? It only made me more miserable. Comparisons always follow second generation wrestlers. I’m never going to be my old man, never going to be my uncle, but you know what they were great at? Pissing people off. For so long I wanted to avoid it. Not give into what they were. But after 2022…
A scowl comes on his face.
Chris Sanderson: It’s time to embrace it. I laid waste to Gavin Grimes last week. I hit you with your title and kicked you for good measure. Giving into who I was meant to be from day one was the greatest feeling I’ve had in years. As far as this match tonight is concerned? I don’t want to team with Kross. I don’t care for him, think he’s a dumb bitch and I question why they put me with an empty headed dumb fuck like him. I’d soon kick him in the face and leave him to you and York tonight than try to help him win.
TJ Techniques: You done? You done with your lil sob story? Nobody wants to hear this.
The crowd roars with cheers for the Liberty Champion.
TJ Techniques: Hear me and hear me good, Kane. I don't give a damn about your daddy. I don't give a damn about your uncle, your half-brother, the pet dog. I don't give a damn about your family. At all. None of that matters to me. The only thing I'm concerned with is knockin' you around all corners of this ring.
The crowd is officially hyped over the possibility of Sanderson getting what's coming to him.
TJ Techniques: Whether you man up tonight and get yourself in this ring or whether you leave Kendrick high and dry, that's ultimately his problem. Your problem, though... is that sooner or later, you gon' have to see me.
Another round of cheers are heard before a "TJ" chant breaks out. The Funky Technician narrows his eyes as he keeps them locked on Sanderson.
TJ Techniques: I'm not on this microphone to make myself out to be some tough guy. I'm not the biggest guy around. I'm not the strongest guy. But I know how to put a hurtin' on a man. And I don't have to sneak him from behind to do it, either, unlike some people. You done messed with the wrong one, Kane. So you can knock me out from behind last week and act like you did somethin’. You can stand all the way up there at the top of that entrance, with your chest puffed out, and act like you’re a big man. But it’ll be a whole different story when we’re standin’ face to face.
Sanderson starts to make his way to the ring and touches the apron as the roar of the crowd is echoing. However, he doesn’t make his way into the ring and instead backs away.
Chris Sanderson: Nah, not right now. I don’t fight for free, TJ. You wanna call me that name like it’s supposed to get under my skin, go right ahead. It’s not going to get me into that ring until it’s time for me to get into that ring. And even then…
A smirk comes across Chris’ face.
Chris Sanderson: When we do stand face to face, TJ, you can talk your own big game of being a funky technical guy or whatever bullshit sells your t-shirts, but I will put you on a stretcher like I did Grimes.
Chris puts the microphone down on the apron and walks backwards, talking shit to the fans who are booing and flipping him off.

RECAP The Wrestling versus The #Society Heavyweight Champion. This match was one between the ruthless powerhouse that is Warren Corbett and the technical magician that is Brendan Samuels. The two of them showed off their styles throughout the match but despite Warren’s size, Brendan showed that he could match the former Liberty Champion with his own strength. After a few near falls from each man, the match looked over when Warren looked as if he was about to nail the Battle Ax spinebuster but Brendan countered out of it and BANG! Backstage! A small Corgi without a name trots around the room, while Binky The Bear watches over all with the Liberty Pro Tag Team Championships on either side of him. We back up to reveal there is a little table with two chairs. At the table, Emery Layton and Brianna Leigh Clark- THE LADS - sit playing what appears to be a game of Guess Who?
Brianna Leigh Clark: Does he have glasses?
Emery Layton: Nah.
Brianna nods and puts down a few cards. Em puts her finger to her chin and thinks.
Emery Layton: Hmm…does she look like she can probably sleep at night, living as the person that she is?
Brianna Leigh Clark: Um…y’know, maybe she can’t. No.
Em perks up and puts down about three cards. Brianna gets a suspicious look on her face, turning a bit in her chair to look behind her. For what, is uncertain, before she looks back at Emery.
Brianna Leigh Clark: Is he tall? I mean, really tall…
Her expression grows almost dreamy for a moment before she shakes her head.
Brianna Leigh Clark: You know, tall enough to get things out of those little cabinets that are above the fridge.
Emery Layton: Oh yeah. He's, like, real tall. I mean, like…FUCK he is tall.
Brianna grins and tips her head, looking over at Binky The Bear as if conferring with the guard of their tag team titles.
Brianna Layton: Say Binky, I wonder. I wonder if his name starts with the letter… R? What about you, Em? Does his name start with the letter R?
Emery Leigh Clarke: Hey hey, don't confer with Binky, he's seen my card! I think. On to you, Binkster. He's wrong anyway. But his name does have an R in it!
Brianna knocks down a few more cards. Em thinks for a moment.
Emery Layton: Sooo…do you reckon we can trust her? I mean like he's…
She motions at her card.
Emery Layton: Like, he's there and we know he's okay but she's got a rep, y’know?
Brianna taps her fingers against the table, looking down at her card and a curious look comes over her face as she thinks about what Em said a bit before she responds.
Brianna Leigh Clark: Yeah, he's fine, he’s pretty much been a man of his word since the day he came in, and yeah… I imagine La…er…she is going to try and push an issue there, because of the Gotham Championship, but really. He’s a respectable guy, his wife is cool, he’s not going to do something out of pocket toward us. He’s gonna treat this like a match.
A pause as she looks up, the slight gleam of an impish thought in her eyes.
Brianna Leigh Clark: She's a piece of work. She talks entirely too much like… a self-help tape gone entirely wrong. Like if she keeps saying things, they’re suddenly true. Reminds me of somebody…
She mutters for a second.
Brianna Leigh Clark: … should’ve known Binky wouldn’t snitch.
Emery Layton: Right well…that's a big, fat no then. Shame. I thought she might be alright.
Click, click, click! Three cards down. Em smiles.
Emery Layton: Can't trust her…gonna create an issue. I've got it. It's Lan innit?? It's gotta be bloody Lan.
Em, with a satisfied grin, hits the bell on the side of the desk. Bri nods and holds up her card to reveal Leanne right there.
Emery Layton: Ayyy. Finally, I win one! But that's the thing, you lot. The Lads hold ALL the cards in this game. We know what everyone's about. We know who to trust and who to keep an eye on. So if you're up against us or teaming with us or whatever you fancy, just know it don't take Em or Bri too long to have you sussed! We tell you now and we tell you good- there ain't no flies on THE LADS! Yeah!
And with a high five, the frame freezes! Seemingly. I mean the dog walks past and we can still hear what's happening in the background, but otherwise Em and Bri are perfectly frozen as we fade out.

BACKSTAGE
Lukas York is sitting by himself in the locker room. He looks deep in thought, rubbing his lower lip with his thumb. Tim Anderson sidles up to him and gently clears his throat. Lukas looks up a little startled before recognition sets in and his face breaks into a grin.
Tim Anderson: Hey Lukas, sorry to interrupt but can I get a quick word about tonight’s match?
Lukas nods as he squares up his shoulders.
Lukas York: Of course. Fire away, Tim.
Addressing the camera, Tim begins the introductions.
Tim Anderson: Please welcome my guest here at this time, Lukas York!
He turns to Lukas, his professional smile promptly fading to a more serious look.
Tim Anderson: Last week, there was some conspiracy during the Anarchy championship match between Kendrick Kross and Gavin Grimes where Gavin was attacked violently by Chris Sanderson, resulting in a clear victory for the champion Kendrick. But that’s not all, you also became part of this conspiracy when you ignored security and entered the ring to hit Kendrick with The Crowning, which happens to be Gavin’s finisher. And then later you got kicked out of the arena. Can you tell us why you did that?
Lukas lets out a deep sigh.
Lukas York: I was backstage watching the show. No intentions, at all, to go out there or whatever. Just strictly there to watch the match and support my buddy Gav. But then Chris happened and I couldn’t just stand there and do nothing. I have to help him. But security wouldn’t let me. You all saw how Gavin just fell after getting clobbered in the lower back with the sledgehammer by that asshole. I tried telling security to let me go, let me help him but they stopped me. Said to back off, that I wasn’t supposed to be there. I was like, are you fucking serious? I was just–
He cuts himself off, locking his lips with his cheeks puffed out in exasperation. Then he exhaled loudly.
Lukas York: I even told Jade when she tried to throw me out the building. But I told her, look, in my defense, I didn’t even wanna engage with Kendrick that night. Yeah sure I wanted another match with that prick but I respected that Gavin got the shot. I mean, I already lost mine. I was cool. But then I saw his face and that dumb smirk of his when he stood over Gavin with his arm raised like he’s the biggest shit who earned that win. Newsflash, he didn’t. So I admit. I lost it.
By this point, his face has darkened in bitter anger.
Lukas York: And that was for my boy Gavin. And it will be for Gav again tonight, and for me. I don’t know what I, a member of the Empire brand roster, am doing in the Liberation show main event but I’m not wasting this unexpected opportunity to beat the hell out of Chris Sanderson for the stunt he pulled.
He clenches his teeth for a second as he turns to the camera with a hard glare.
Lukas York: Chris, whatever issues you have, costing Gavin his match was way out of line and I’m not leaving Liberation without making you pay for that. At the same time though, whatever grievances you still have, go on and take ‘em out on me. Then we’ll see what you really are without that sledgehammer. But if you wanna sneak that in, I still welcome you to do it. Either way, it’s gonna be a dog fight and I’m ready for it. In fact, I’m counting on it. Give me your best shot!
He slaps his own chest, clearly getting more emotional.
Lukas York: Because if Chris doesn’t give his best shot, I’m sure his tag partner will. Isn’t that right, Kendrick? I don’t care if you’re sick of me already, ol’ buddy ol’ pal, but our paths just keep crossing, ha, and you can bet I will keep fighting. I was literally drafted to another brand and yet here I am, about to stand toe to toe with you. Again. You’re like an itch I can’t reach. A bitter taste that won’t fade. I know you’re hating this. ‘Cause before the Gavin match, you had already sent out a tweet asking for a one final match with me. One on one. Maybe then you could shut me up, right? Hey man, fine by me. ‘Cause a one on one is exactly what I’ve been wanting. But sometimes we just don’t get what we want and yet again tonight, we’re given this match and it won’t be just the two of us throwing it all down just to prove who’s better. Good thing I’m not that picky either, I’ll take what I can get. One last beating for the road. Back to Empire.
Tim takes the chance to ask another question.
Tim Anderson: Yes, it’s obvious you’ve got grudges against both your opponents but it is in fact a tag team match. How do you feel being paired up with Liberty champion TJ Techniques for this main event?
Lukas gives an easy smile.
Lukas York: Dude’s a champion. He’s the real deal. What else can I say? I mean, I haven’t been able to accomplish what he has and while that may make some people intimidated, that’s not me. In fact, it’s got me highly motivated. It’s like when I got to team up with Nina when she was the Anarchy champ. Ever since I’ve returned to wrestling, I told myself that this time it’s gonna be different. I’m no longer here to be a quiet observer. Instead, I’m gonna be a more active student of the game. Whatever I can learn, I’ma put it into practice immediately and make sure you see it. I’m gonna make sure you remember who I am even after I leave the ring. You will see me, hear me and remember every single thing I do. Watching people like Nina and TJ push the boundaries and break the glass ceiling is inspiring. Before, my career was full of starts and stops. Not anymore, Tim. I’m here now and I’m staying. And if I fall, I’ll just get back up and keep trying. But also, I am aware that TJ’s coming into this match with his own agenda. He’s got a bone to pick with Chris himself. And that’s good news for me. With both of us having payback on our minds, we’ll work like a well-oiled machine. One mind, one goal… Victory.
He holds up two fingers, one by one, to make a ‘V’ at the end.
Tim Anderson: Well, good luck out there! I look forward to it. Thanks for your time, Lukas.
Lukas York: My pleasure.
He nods with a confident smile before walking away.

RECAP This match? It was nothing short of a banger. Leanne is as accomplished as they come and a champion in Valiant and Markus is looking to add to the pantheon of Gotham Champions that this company has seen. The LADS though? BLC is an accomplished Gotham Champion and Emery? Her name speaks for herself. The LADS had more experience as a team and this gave them the power to control the early goings of the match, working over Leanne. But Jones soon countered Emery, who went for a big move from the top and she hit her with a boot. Both were dazed and Jones tried to get to her corner. When she did? The crowd popped as Markus and BLC both tagged in. This was a match up between two of Liberty’s best hosses! The crowd popped when BLC hit Markus with a running powerslam! But she could only stop the Frei Train for so long and it was only a matter of time until he nailed Brianna with it but just before he did? Lan tagged herself in. She pinned and Markus stopped Emery from breaking up the pin and Leanne and Markus picked up the HUGE victory! The camera cuts in to Kendrick Kross with a smirk on his face and the Anarchy Championship on one shoulder with the GEW Spotlight Championship on the other.
KENDRICK KROSS: Welcome…to the World of Anarchy…the World of Kendrick Kross.
Kendrick chuckles as he walks towards a podium that’s set up with his name in it before pushing it down and breaking it as it lands on the floor.
KENDRICK KROSS: Tonight, your Leader of Anarchy is stuck in a tag match with three people who are clearly inferior. Three people who when it comes to me are nowhere close to what I am.
Kendrick rolls his eyes as he looks at each title on his shoulder.
KENDRICK KROSS: Last week I disposed of Gavin Grimes, I kept my Anarchy Championship. But my partner tonight, Chris Sanderson wanted to get involved. That is not something that was smart…not something he should’ve done to your Leader of Anarchy.
Kendrick takes a deep breath as he paces back and forth a bit then focuses back on the camera.
KENDRICK KROSS: Lukas York..you’ve tried to get my Anarchy Championship multiple times. You’ve thought you could take me out..take me on..but you’ve failed at each attempt, at each turn. But you want to come after me still? You think you have gotten close to what I am? You’re a fool. No…a failure. That’s all you’ve become, Lukas.
Kendrick chuckles and smirks as he once again looks at both titles.
KENDRICK KROSS: TJ. Unfortunately for you you’re going to be collateral by the hands of your Leader of Anarchy. But the collateral you’ll be will also show you that you also are nowhere near me. The best champion in Liberty or Empire. I don’t care who it is. Tonight I show you why you shouldn’t test me.
Kendrick stops directly in front of the camera and eyes with a blank stare.
KENDRICK KROSS: Lukas and TJ. You two will go down tonight. Sanderson…stay out of my way.
Kendrick chuckles followed by a quick smirk.
KENDRICK KROSS: Your double champion, the Leader of Anarchy…Kendrick Kross…I’ll see you all out there. And you’ll leave understanding why I am better than you.

BACKSTAGE
We cut backstage to Jade Night on the phone, looking clearly annoyed.
Jade Night: Robb, I thought we had this thing managed. But it seems like more and more that this draft has fucked things up. First Lukas and now The Division. Things aren’t settled and people are invading MY SHOW! Figure it out!
There’s talking on the other end and Jade rolled her eyes.
Jade Night: Fine. I’ll be there tomorrow night at Conquest and we can talk about figuring this thing out.
More talking on the other end before Jade nods.
Jade Night: Yeah, right. Good night.
She hung up the phone and noticed the camera watching her.
Jade Night: Hello? You can go away, now!
She pushed it away and the scene cut away.
